Review Woodland Cafe - Mascot

Sean
A nice space with plenty of seating in Mascot Arcade. Breakfast options such as big breakfast, fritters, and smashed avocado . Smoothies are also good. Burgers are not so good as.the combination of softer disintegrating buns and too much sauce (not the tastiest either) leave for a messy affair. Staff are.very helpful and attentive. Overall a great place for breakfast.

Me and my Family really enjoyed the breakfast here. Food and drinks both top notch. Service is really good. We were greeted, treated and quality checked even though the shop was really busy. Quality is price justified. We love it here. First time in Mascot and hit this gem.

Came here during lunch break, first time eating here. Went to the counter to tell them I've got a booking and was told to take a seat anywhere. Sat down at a table and waited a few mins but no one came to our table, so I stood up to grab the menus myself.. Ordered the Woodland Biggy and Beef & Chorizo Burger along with two drinks. The waiter who took our orders was friendly and noted down the slight changes we wanted for our dishes. When the waitress (different person) brought our drinks over, unfortunately the Strawberry Milkshake was dripping on one side which she noticed and apologised for. But she did not bring us a napkin to wipe away the drip and we had no napkins on our table, so once again I got up to grab napkins myself.. The main dishes were good serving sizes. Only criticism is that the hash browns were too deep fried and hard as a result, which made them tricky to cut up and eat. At the end there was a small mistake with the bill which I had to point out to get corrected.

Arrived Sunday morning 9am 13/02/2022. Ordered a large latte and a small hot chocolate in take away cups. 9.15 checking why my order took so long 9.18 they brought in latte and a babycino in normal cups, knowing my toddler could have broken them 9.20 they came back and told me that they didn't have my order right 9.22 finally drinks came but hot chocolate came too hot (for a toddler too drink without the marshmallows - when I had specifically asked for marshmallows with it) 9.23 knowing I was visibly upset they gave me cash, when I had not even paid for one (I was dining in). Old Lady was so upset, she said she can't be anymore generous other than making our drinks free. She's not even apologetic about it 9.25 finally 25 mins later and my daughter's swimming class is almost done. I have no time to enjoy my coffee.

Really good coffee, awesome barista. Great customer service, friendly staff and happy to change a few things on the menu to create a child friendly meal.

Very nice coffee with the standard eats available at most cafes. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating even though they were VERY busy. Coffee was a stand out. VERY nice. They have the standard smashed avo and big breakfast etc which was nice as well. Highly recommended!

Woodland Café is located in Mascot, right on Botany Rd and although its right in the heart of Mascot shops, it really has a warm, relaxed neighbourhood feel about it. The café itself is stylishly decorated with ample seating inside and out, and an installation of wood and indoor plants near the counter, giving it an authentic urban but relaxed feel.

The people who run this café are amazing! Great hospitality and delicious food! I had avocado mash and hot chocolate. The avo mash was so filling, healthy bread a lot of mash, on top of it they served 2 eggs! And the beetroot Laban, yummmmm don't have words to express that taste.

Went to cafe with my partner and our two pups. We sat in the outside/inside area(in a arcade) I ordered the fritters with no poached egg. The bacon and herbed mayo was good but the fritters and avo mash were not great. Serving was very large (3 fritters) and I couldn’t get through 2! It was a average meal in my opinion. The salmon on toast was not huge. One slice of toast with salmon and cucumber was not very filling in my partners opinion. there were also no capers which is normal with that type of meal. We had coffee and peppermint tea, both nice and both hot. Service was attentive! I noticed when we paid our bill that there were LOTS of menulog orders! Probably won’t go back. If I do it would be more for the decor and service than the food.

Cafe Woodland can be found on the main strip of shops in Mascot. It’s fresh and bright with its interiors, wooden panelled walls and tables. If you’re just here for a coffee, order from the counter and you might be tempted by some baked goods. They have campos coffee beans but also do tea, smoothies, milkshakes and fresh cold press juice. We had a camomile tea and an orange, ginger and carrot juice. Very refreshing and healthy.

I walk past this place a lot and I finally tried it.

The staff are friendly and the interior is nice l, the food comes in large servings. I got the Peri Peri chicken burger. The bun was very crispy, crunchie like texture. Good chips.

Some downsides though...Oily salad dressing. Towards the end the bun was soaked in oil so I couldn't eat it

Nice fit out and really lovely staff members. Food is really good and would go there for my big breakfast every Sunday morning. Coffee was lacking but not bad. Good addition to the mascot cafe scene.

There's a new cafe in Mascot called Cafe Woodland. Matt and I stop by for some brunch at about 11am on a Sunday. It's been a while since I've had brunch so I am eagerly awaiting a delicious and healthy breakfast. After a full on year in 2018, I am now looking to focus on good health. It's quite busy as Matt and I enter. I look at their menu which has a good variety and I also check out their specials menu. There's a few temptations for me from the menu. I notice it's an all day menu so you can have breakfast all day!
