I've been looking for ages for an authentic pizza joint in Maroubra and holy moly this place has the best pizza I have had in a while. The simple margarita has amazing flavours with a delicious wood wired oven base. If you live close by this place is Defintely worth it!!!

We have now been to vivaldi 3 times and each time has been exceptional. The food is amazing, best Italian food I've had outside of Italy. Well worth a trip to vivaldi even if you're not a local. The buffalo mozzarella salad, duck ravioli and 4 cheese pizza we had tonight was remarkable, no idea how they make everything taste so good. My husband was also raving about the Italian beer on tap. Super friendly family run restaurant with great service and good atmosphere.

Our favourite pizza spot in Sydney! The service is so kind and welcoming, and we love the quality of the wood fired pizzas and pastas, especially the ones on their specials board. They have a nice range of wines too. We’ll continue coming back here for a nice casual dinner.

The food here is absolutely delicious! The owners are lovely and very sweet and their passion for great Italian cuisine is reflected in their food! We thoroughly enjoyed the Penne Arabiata and Spaghetti Di Mare is one of the best in Sydney. Highly recommend this place!

This place is a hidden gem in Matraville! We had breakfast there and, not only was the food delicious, but also Sebastian (the owner) and Carlos (the chef) were super friendly and entertaining. I highly recommend this restaurant! Oh! And make sure you try their special blend Lavazza coffee!!!

Excellent food, friendly staff and Tania is amazing. My favourite dish is pizza and drinks are the Balladine Nora beer and their special limoncello. It is a little restaurant but welcoming. If you miss Italy go there because this is the perfect place to feel at home.

For some real, authentic Italian food made with love, I would recommend a visit to Vivaldi Kitchen which is located 20mins south from the CBD. The giant wood fire oven that you see when you walk inside is a good sign that pizza is a must to order here. It’s a family business, the owners are from Naples, the birthplace of the pizza. Another reason to order a pizza here! We ate the following dishes (selected by our host): Scallops with prosciutto, parsley and breadcrumbs. The scallops were cooked until they were bouncy, with a tasty, crunchy coating on the outside. Homemade ravioli with ricotta and truffle on a porcini mushroom and white wine sauce. This dish was the star of the evening, we were even lucky enough to get to watch the chef in action cooking this dish for us. All of the pasta is freshly made on premise and you can taste the freshness when you bite into the pasta which has a perfect al dente texture. The creaminess of the cheese against the earthy truffle and mushrooms blended well together. Wood fire oven cooked pizza with Gorgonzola, speck and walnuts. I really enjoyed the creaminess and distinct savoury notes of the cheese, saltiness of the meat and the crunch of the walnuts, I’ve not eaten these flavours before on a pizza, it was a great recommendation from our host, Tania. Pizza is one of the specialties here as the huge wood fire oven is one of the first things that you notice when you walk inside the restaurant. Additional, I love the fact that the menu features pizzas categorised by a ‘white’ or ‘red’ base. Lastly, we finished with a pair of pannacottas for dessert - one served with passion fruit sauce and the other served with berry sauce and crushed pistachios. Both dessert flavours had a lovely tartness and crunch against the creamy pannacotta which had a gentle wobble which is what you want in this classic Italian dessert. What a wonderful way to end a genuine Italian meal. Tania explained to us a bit about the history of the area, having lived in Matraville for 30+ years. There used to be local delis and grocery stores, there was a real neighbourhood feel. Step into the present and there has been growing development, Matraville will shortly be a destination on the map as it’s in close proximity to the beaches and has got a built up town centre. A lovely, authentic, Italian dining experience. I would happily pop in again for another delicious home made pasta or a fresh wood fire ovened pizza. Note: I dined as a guest of the venue. All views and opinions expressed are my own.

ow if you're looking for authentic home cooked Italian food, you've come to the right place. This place serves up big portions, delicious classic flavours, straight out from Nonna's kitchen. Hence the name Vivaldi Italian kitchen, they invite you into their home for a good hearty meal from their family owned kitchen. The decor is like you stepped into Italy, with the chequered table cloth and peppers in jars. The family (owners) are there. Hey introduce themselves and they mingle with each table. It's a very nice and welcoming atmosphere. The food is amazing. The best Italian we have had. We have always favoured leichhardt for Italian, but let us tell you, now matraville is definitely on the map, move over leichhardt. Their pizza is made freshly per order in their inhouse wood fire pizza oven. Their dough is light, you eat and eat and next minute the whole pizza is gone. Their menu is made of classic italian dishes which are made with love (& trust us, you can taste the love!). We love Italian food, I mean who doesn't. But if you're going to stick with simple Italian food it must be perfect executed. And this place is just that. We cannot wait to return to taste the rest of the menu, and tell all our friends what a great discovery we have uncovered. So get on it quick, they're serving an amazing Fagioli All'Uccelletto (stewed borlotti beans in a tomato sauce with italian pork sausages) just for winter.

We have been at Vivaldi Kitchen for our dinner. The location is nice and in good position to be reached by car or by public transport. We have been hypnotized by the awesome paints of Venice. We ordered two pizzas and the dough was exactly what we were looking for, from an Italian restaurant, soft and tasty. The service is good, quick and friendly.
