Thank you for THE best garlic bread I have ever had in my life. This is the restaurant that I wish every suburb had. Howard the waiter really made the atmosphere so friendly and inviting. This is no ordinary place. If you're ever in Adelaide then come here.

What a lovely place to eat! The meals were fabulous - the best spaghetti marinara anywhere. The salmon was gorgeous. The staff make you feel so welcome, it is a pleasure to dine there.

What a lovely evening last night we all had, service & food & wine recommended by Howard was exceptional & not forgetting Howard’s entertainment.... we will certainly be back to dine & checkout the fresh pasta etc at the front of the restaurant thanks guys!

Been twice now and both times the food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We went to la vita last night for dinner, What can I say? Fantastic service as soon as we went through the door, If only the rest of the places in Mawson lakes gave the same, steak beautifully done, lamb shanks perfected and the pasta was to die for, well done you guys. We will definitely be returning, and spreading the good work 🙏🏻

I can’t believe after living in the area for 10 years that I never tried out this place until last week.

Amazing service as soon as you walk into the restaurant/shop to the moment you walk out. I love that the feel of this place makes you feel like you’re at Nonna’s house. The shop front is also full of fresh pasta, sauces, frozen home cooked meals plus so much more if you don’t want to dine in.

Our order:
Aracini were massive and so fulfilling, along with the vegetable lasagne which was on special that day and their chilli carbonara was SO good! Walked out incredibly full!

A must try. I highly recommend this little gem, and also would recommend to book as they can be booked out.

I love this place. I’ve been coming here for years since it first opened when I lived locally. I’ve moved away now but recently went back for dinner with my family and found the staff just to be as lovely and accommodating as they had always been. My pasta was fanatic and I enjoyed every minute of it, my parents both rate this place as well. I also purchase there takeaway lasagnes to cook at home and they are always made fantastically (same with the garlic bread). Slightly expensive but very good quality food

Food was great , Service was great only complaint is the portion size of their mains I thought was a little small. Had the Fettuccine  Carbonara which was cooked to perfection! The sauce was seasoned well with just the right amount of cream. Will be returning soon.

Easily my favourite place to eat in Mawson Lakes. The pasta here is some of my favourite even when compared to some of the more expensive Italian restaurants. The garlic bread is the BEST. Do yourself a favour and try this place and order a garlic bread. Be warned, serving sizes are GENEROUS!

Wow!!!! Never felt as welcomed to a restaurant as we did here. You could tell the staff were very passionate and proud of their food and promised us we would be back, and they are correct! While we waited for our take away pasta we were told about the dishes and the quality sources ingredients used. We had the duck ravioli and carbonara and both were amazing!!! Oh and the garlic bread was to die for! Can't wait to try the rest of their menu :)

This place was a delightful surprise! I absolutely enjoyed it. I came here with a group of colleagues for a Friday lunch. It's a clean and fresh looking place with a very simple cafe set up. At the front they sell an amazing selection of frsh pasta and sauces and much more! So, you can't go wrong with pasta here. I really enjoyed my gnocchi and all my colleagues raved about how delicious thier meals were. The service was also super attentive. All in all a fantastic place on that side of town. I'm sure I'll be coming back soon!

La Vita is a truly a great restaurant, I couldn't have enjoyed my experiences there more.

A few months ago I was in Adelaide for a five night stay, and I ended up doing something I never do when travelling: I ate at the same restaurant, breakfast and dinner, each day and night. I'd normally try as many new places and cuisines in a new city as possible, particularly for dinner, but the food and service at La Vita started out great so great that I kept coming back each day, and the food and service kept getting better. I'll try to be brief but there was a lot of great stuff to cover.

I got in to town in the evening, so I was just looking for the closest restaurant, and La Vita was in the lobby of the hotel. They were very busy on my arrival, but they quickly found us a seat. The place had a family like atmosphere from the beginning and they quickly made us feel at home. Our server was immediately at our table to take drink orders. I have to say at first glance I was sceptical of the menu due to the number of items item. More often than not I find that a long menu means a lot of dishes not done very well, instead of doing a few things perfectly, so I ordered a pizza figuring that it was a good litmus test of the restaurants' quality. I had the marinara pizza and it was fantastic. Fresh seafood, with a great sauce and crust. One of the best seafood pizzas I've ever had. In addition to the great food, the service remained fantastic that night, and the rest of the trip as well.

Due to the fact that the food and service were so exemplary I decided I had to eat there the next night, and as described that continued for the rest of my stay. In the interest of brevity, I'll post some notes on what I had each night, as I was just floored time and time again by the quality of the food and service.

- Chimmichuri Barramundi: A great green chimmichurri sauce and a perfectly pan fried, fresh filet.

- Chargrilled marinated quail: I eaten a great deal of quail as they are native to my hometown, but I've never had it as good as this. Due to its small size quail is easy to overcook, and terrible if undercooked. It was perfection. Tender and juicy, with a delicious marinade that didn't overpower the taste of the bird. I could eat this everyday for the rest of my life.

- Beef ravioli Bolognaise: So well executed. A simple dish in essence, but executed so well. A great Bolognaise, and a mouth watering tender beef ravioli.

- 400g Chargrilled Wagyu Steak: I rarely eat steak at a restaurant, I prefer to make it myself so that I can be certain of the quality of the cut and how it's cooked. I'm glad I went for it here. It was sublime. Having been so impressed by the quality of food, and having gotten to know the staff so well by this point, I had the confidence to order it blue-rare, and you should too!

In regard to the staff, I've never a better experience. I was treated so well by everyone. And it's such a family atmosphere that I couldn't discern who the owner until I asked several days in to my trip. And speaking of the owner, Mary, I owe her a huge apology. I was there in July and initially tried to post this review right after I got back from my trip. I obviously screwed something up when I did because it failed to post, and I didn't realize it until today. I'm so sorry Mary! You, your partner, your son and the rest and staff went out of your way to take care of me, I should have checked to ensure the review posted successfully. My deepest apologies to you, Howard, Ellen (the best "food therapist" in the world) and Anna (the best chef, the one who absolutely nailed the blue-rare steak). You are all the best and I wish you the utmost success!

P.S. The wine! They have a house red and a sparkling Merlot that they have made especially for the restaurant. I won't get all snooty with the tasting notes, just trust that the red was delicious and the sparkling Merlot was otherworldly (I don't believe it's on the menu, so do yourself a huge favor and ask if they have it).

Love love love this place!! Went to eat with family last week and the service and food was amazing!! The pizzas and garlic bread are beyond tasty.. i could eat them all day! The meals are very generous and fresh. Will be going back regularly now just wish the place was a little bigger as i found it a bit squishy but overall highly rated!

New cafe opened. This little pasta shop has recently expanded and become a café/restaurant. I only discovered this place beginning of this year and well let me say its a little gem. Anna and Howard are delightful hosts BUT lets talk about the food.

I have had the spinach pasta - pizza - fish - veal and enjoyed my meals immensely full of flavour!!! All is cooked as ordered so its fresh. My only little down is they need to get the food out quicker and make sure its hot and don't over salt. Just need more help in the kitchen a small fix. Do yourself a favour if you want a nice Italian meal in the Mawson Area.

100% Class, Service & Quaility!!!. I am a Chef in my job trade & I came here for Breakfast & Dinner, all I can say is WOW!, the Garlic bread was Goldust, I did try the Fettucchine & Rose Sauce with Bacon... Yum yum yummo!, so fresh and no statch in the pasta. I highly recommend coming down if you live in or around Mawson Lakes... Big Shoutout to Howard & Mary that work there... My hats off to you and the La Vita Family...

100% Classic!!!!

Have eaten here twice this week and the food is fresh and very tasty. Have discovered this place by a good friend who said I should try it. The staff are very friendly and will be going back very soon.

We were looking for a place to meet a friend. I searched around online. Found excellent reviews. We had to go.... I am so glad that we did. Easy to book a table, Mary is a lovely lady. I loved the interior and atmosphere straight away. Beautiful art work. Clean and well presented. Staff were attentive and friendly. Service was excellent. I enjoyed the lasagne. My other guests had pasta as well and loved it. Servings are not huge. I think that is well thought out. I would rather have good quality, no wastage. Well done. This left us with room for dessert and coffee. I am glad we did too. I had the tiramisu and it was excellent. Not over flavoured. Texture and presentation and flavour fantastic. Probably one of the best tiramisu's that I have ever eaten. Latte's were good too. I do think the music was a bit loud. But maybe I am just getting old . I know if I had asked for it to be a bit lower, there would have been no problem. Staff made a huge effort to make sure that we were happy. A great open kitchen! Nothing to hide here. The goodies in the front are fantastic. Really beautiful things that could easily be used as gifts. Really well set out. Corkage $12-🍾. Meals were at a good price too. Well worth the 25 minutes to drive there. Very Impressed. Thank you Mary and your amazing staff. We will be back 🙂🍷

The Garlic Bread was phenomenal. I HIGHLY suggest ordering it. The pasta was good, very fresh, but smaller portions than I was hoping for. I ordered the ravioli and was disappointed by the serving size and the blandess of the sauce. The other dishes were great and my friends really enjoyed.

Very nice Italian restaurant! Friendly staff, beautiful bruschetta and veal scalloppini!
