Never had a bad meal or coffee here. The staff are friendly and efficient.
reasonable prices (for perth), at $4 for a coffee and $10 for a bagel. we got the breakfast bagel which was super tasty, and the chicken pesto bagel which could’ve done with a bit more sauce as it was quite dry. coffees were good no complaints there! wouldn’t go out of our way to come here but would certainly visit if the in the area again.
This place is such a cosy place and the food is pretty good. They do basic menu and bagels but they’ve done it well. This time we ordered the breakfast bagel and shrimp and avocado. The coffees are good and both bagels and shrimp are quite fresh and tasty. A must try place when you’re in North Perth area.
Love.Love.Love this place! The staff are always super friendly, no matter how busy they are. The toasted sandwiches are amazing, and the iced coffee is the best thing for a hot day with a big chunk of icecream in it. The hot coffees are always nice and a perfect temperature, and don't even get me started on the caramel slice! They have a doggie water bowl and treat jar so my pup is always happy to chill outside and the staff are always really friendly towards him :) . My only suggestion is to bring back the bagon/egg/chutney wrap you used to serve!
I should have done this review a long time ago. This is a cute little cafe that is located on the cafe strip on Angove St. The staff are super friendly and remembers my order...but then again its not hard when I come here every week with my sister and we always order the same thing. Chai Latte....I am a chai latte fanatic and so far this is the best in Perth. Using real tea leaves, the chai is brew in plunger if having it there and extra large cup if taking away. Both options are $5 so absolutely great value. They add a drizzle of honey to slightly sweeten it and creates the perfect balance with the aromatic spices. Nothing like the chai syrup or powder that many cafes use that has loads of sugar added to it which ruins the gentle flavours of the chai spices. The pistachio chai cake is nice and moist and not overly sweet. Carrot cake can be a little dry but mango coconut bread is delicious toasted and buttered. The bacon stack is my fav breakfast here with a mountain if bacon on toast served with rocket leaves. Totally love this place...and yes I keep coming back (sometimes twice a week) 😜
Cool little cafe and a nice stop by for a coffee and a muffin.Their coffees are great good choice every time.Had the pumpkin and feta muffin, there was a sharp baking powder taste and no feta. Was ok probably not something I'll order again.
First timer. Decided to have lunch while I was here and had the chicken/lemon mayo on turkish bread plus a coffee. The food was so tasty I could have eaten another and it comes with an optional slightly spicy salsa that you can add yourself. Coffee was tasy and hot....nice. They only lost half a point because I saw the dust on the air conditioner and then couldn't stop seeing it....haha.
Milkd is a great café to drop into for a quick coffee and read of the paper. Today I popped in and had one of the best soya chai latte, seriously. It was made of real tea leaves not a syrup or power which can be sickly sweat.Even better it was in a plunger pot which I'd never seen before. This is an excellent idea as you can control how strong it is. It also means you get more than one cup. For $5 this is brilliant value.Milkd has some other great features too like phone chargers and a Stormie Mills original on the back wall (this must be one of the first pieces he did on a café wall as it's been there for years). The food looks pretty good too, will have to return to check it out. And going to the toilet means an interesting venture down a lane where you can check out some street art.
I met a friend here for breakfast a couple of weeks ago and went for the bacon stack and a latte. While I've been here for coffee a few times before (it had just opened when I moved out of the area years ago) this was the first time that I've ordered food and I was not disappointed. I don't normally go for heavy breakfasts but despite the ingredients this was surprisingly easy to eat.
Best value coffee going around, full stop. It's always well made, tastes great and is well priced by Perth's overinflated prices and standards.
Staff are friendly. It's my go to.
All rounders. Such good service, great easy breakfast on the go menu and the coffee is so good. If a barista changes, the coffee is always made the same.
Pretty good. Service was friendly and efficient. Coffee was good. We had muffins which were also pretty good. The breakfast menu looked enticing. I would probably try one of the other Angove Street cafés next time.
Went for brunch with my brother here on a Tuesday morning. We got a cozy table near the back of the shop tucked away in a corner! Ambiance was nice but quite casual.
The service was friendly as we were greeted by counter staff as we walked in. We were quite impressed that they brought our order to the table correctly without giving us a number (it was counter service)! We ordered the bacon stack, the Milkd plate, a soy flat white and a short macchiato.
Food was lovely: the simple ingredients were fresh, eggs perfectly poached. The mushrooms were a bit too salty but still enjoyable. I would recommend the Milkd plate over the bacon stack because it has more ingredients and is a bigger serve for only $1.50 extra.
Coffee was acceptable but not mind blowing. Interesting that the short macchiato came topped up instead of traditional, even though we never asked for it topped up. Still, no complaints.
Overall, a very enjoyable brunch, with the two of us spending around $42. Would recommend to people looking for a casual brunch venue.
Food - very nice. service - hit and miss depending on what time you are there and how busy they are.
Previously a huge fan of this cafe with friendly staff, great food and consistently good coffee but then today happened....we ordered the same meal we had ordered previously: The Bacon Stack. I even have a picture of this added to this restaurant page and it clearly shows a huge meal of 2 eggs, bacon, tomato, 2 pieces of toast and rocket. Not today though. Today it was ONE piece of toast and minimal bacon on a large empty looking plate. Not what you want to see when you're really hungry and have been waiting ages as well.
We were also dining with a friend who ordered coffee & food well after us but received his order for both before we did. Made no sense.
Anyway we left so hungry that we went to another cafe up the road and picked up two massive chicken bacon rolls for LESS. Should have gone there first. Lesson learnt; never again. How disappointing.

Wonderful Experience Sittin.... Wonderful Experience
Sitting at an outside table at Milk'd right now after enjoying a very late breakfast of poached eggs, bacon, avocado & baked beans on grain toast. Would have liked a bit more avo and the 10% public holiday surcharge kinda sucks but the service has been great, efficient and friendly. Will definitely come again.
This place is wonderful, the staff is very friendly, down-to-earth and non-pretentious. The service is quick and precise. The place has one of the best flat whites in town (maybe besides Venn Cafe+Bar). Would definitely recommend this spot.
Great coffee and location. Had a specialist appointment and stock standard doctor running late, went for a walk and found this place..not a local in this area and would say found the best coffee shop. great coffee, service and location...magic spot on Angove Street.
Consistently fabulous. My favourite on Angove st . Hot coffee and excellent service!
Awesome coffee and awesome service 10/10
My fav Coffee Shop. I have been coming to Milkd in North Perth for years and love it.
It's close to my home and they make the best mocha's!!
Great coffee friendly people. I am really fussy with coffee and often have to ditch them. I would say 2 in every 5 coffees taste good to me, so far I have only been to milk'd twice but it has become my favourite place for a coffee. The staff look a bit intimidating at first but as soon as you start placing your order they're really friendly. Nothing I hate more than staff that are rude to me when I am always trying to be friendly to them!
So yep, so far my new favourite place for coffee. A bit sad that the first time i went there I wanted bircher muesli but they took it off the menu because it's winter and it's replaced with porridge, how dare places tell me what season I can eat bircher muesli in!!! haha joking, kind of.. but I recommend it!!
Friendly, Reliable, Convenient. I'm a regular visitor here, probably at least once a week.
Coffee is very good and consistent (I'm a long-black drinker and they do it well, often).
Service has always been friendly. I'm surprised to read reviews from some folks of bad service. Maybe you get what you give?
However, the main reason I end up here so often is that its one of the few places around that's open (and happy!) in the late afternoon for a coffee.
Love the coffee and food here. Always had friendly service! To me is the best coffee on Angove strip in North Perth.
Little Treasure. Best coffee I've ever had. Quick. Friendly.
All their cakes are commercially made..very low brow
Small but Good.. Quick, Warm, and Tasty Coffee. - 4/5.
Service was Awes-tastic. 4/5
Vibe was Squashy... Tiny... too Cosy? 2/5
Best bit: the Cake selection.
Worst bit: No Room... Tiny Tiny seating...
Funniest bit: All the dudes were handsome.
Advice: Maybe don't dine in.
Why no love?. I don't know what you whingers are talking about! Milkd is one of my favourite places to eat in Perth. I usually get the eggs with bacon, and every bite is beyond sublime. Eggs are delicious and creamy, bacon is out of this world! And if you haven't tried one of their lemon crumble muffins, you are missing out! I'll admit the coffee is nothing to write home about, but I've never had anything but the best and most friendly service and the selection of teas are delightful. It is a little on the pricey side, but as a now and then sort of place, to remind you what good food taste like, it is definitely worth it!
We come here religiously - at least three times a week and the staff deliver on the coffee and service everytime!
Had a really nice vegetarian breakfast here! Coffee was amazing! Nice place for something different in an up and coming area.
Regular Brekky. Been here quite a few times for breakfast and coffee with my partner.... both of us enjoy the food. Staff are very friendly. Great spot to sit and read the paper whilst enjoying a sunday morning meal.
Nice. Breakfast was great, service was friendly. Have had a take away iced chocolate, which was so delicious. Loved it!
Best macaroons in town for as little as $3.50! Coffee is just amazing and nice to sit inside or outside!!!
Very busy little cafe especially in the mornings! They do great sit in breakfast!! But most morning we order takeaway coffees. Depending on which barista is on we will either get a great amazing extra hot flat whites or just "good" coffees. Their beans are really good. The takeaway "melts" which is basically a ham, cheese, tomatoes with japanese mayo are always toasted hot all the way through!! Yum yum always look forward to the mornings at milkd
Early coffee no problem?. Where can you find quality coffee 7am in Mt lawley/menora area? Milkd. where can you find good quality coffee 7am SUNDAY in mt lawley/menora: MILKD!
Just the right place.... Some mornings you just need to be able to go somewhere that accepts staring into space as a totally valid morning activity while they quietly deliver things to you that can help that stare become more focussed and potentially even transform to active use of the ocular function once again.
Milkd does great coffee (Essenza) and very tasty food with a minimum of fuss and friendly service.
It has been one of the cafes I have known be reputation only but it was well worth the slight detour off my usual route of travel to pause there.
I visited the North Perth store at 32 Angove Street , but they also have two other stores, one at 45 8th Avenue
in Maylands and the other on 1 Denis Street Subiaco.
Lovely Sundee Breakfast. I came here on a Sunday morning. We sat outside and had a great view of the hustle and bustle of North Perth. It was really reasonably priced (especially considering the serving sizes). The coffee was great - the food was fresh and filling - the menu was great, it was hard to choose what to eat. As soon as we had finished our food, our plates were cleared. Would definitely recommend for a cheapish, Sunday breakfast.
Nice cafe. I enjoyed Milkd, cosy and interesting decor, simple and comfortable interior. Nice location for a quiet late lunch on a grey Sunday afternoon. Staff were friendly, the guy behind the counter was great. Chicken melts were good, partner said the coffee was good and shared lemon meringue tart was average (lemon filling lovely but I'm not a fan of the top being a solid totally crisp chunk of meringue, I prefer it light and fluffy).
Milkd was good. Good breakfast. Bit busy, good coffee, we will be back.
Phone orders, what more could you want.. The fact I can phone my T/A coffee order through and its waiting for me when I arrive says it all.
Other great milkd moments:
- they serve heaps of rocket with their breakfast meals
- butter the fruit toast just right
- open till 6pm
- dog and people friendly
- and most importantly they make one of the best coffees in Perth
(One request, please have larger water classes one gulp and its gone.)
Usually pretty busy but tasty brekky. Great for breakfast and the food is pretty good value for money, if you want to feel a bit less cramped andless rushed eating breakfast go to the Maylands one.
Decent cafe. Generally you can still get a good cup of coffee at Milkd and they have some very good baristas. Standard of food has dropped a bit over the years which is a shame as they did simple but tasty food really well.
Milky. This place is probably one of the few places open till 6, everywhere else closes far too early! I mean coffee is suppossed to keep you awake, and if it's not available in the late afternoon, then I don't know what to think about Perth as a "city" (more like small town).
Anyway, I go here fairly often for the reason mentioned above, their coffee is always consistantley NOT burnt, hehe. They know how to make a nice average coffee, (though higher than average in Perth). The only real problem with milk is that they put far too much milk in their coffee, though that is their namesake.
I have tried their mediterranean panini and it was quite average as well (it seems to be the average type of vegetarian food for most cafes).
In all it's a good place for large takeaway coffee before 6:00. 3 stars!
Great coffee and atmosphere. Love popping into Milkd for a coffee with my wife. The place is small, cozy and funky, the service good and haven't had a bad coffee yet.
I wish Perth had more places like this! I wish Milkd opened at night, maybe on weekends - they seem to close around 7pm'ish which is too early for a late night coffee after dinner or a show.
Note - it's not really in Leederville where are the other cafes/restaurants are. It's really in North Perth near Rosemount Bowl and The Rosemount Hotel.
Great coffee! I don't like or drink coffee at all normally. However, the Milkd brew is smooth and goes down easily. I even had two (unheard of). Will go back.
Steady Eddies!. Consistently good. Good food, great coffee, nice atmosphere and excellent service. Milkd is my go-to cafe when I need to know I'm gonna get what I want.
Enjoyed it. We had some family members up our way searching for some good coffee, and we were obliged to help them. We locked in Milkd and headed over. We were seated straight away, which was nice. we ordered 1x capp, 1x soy capp, 1x long mach, a latte, milkd melt, tiramisu and the bacon and scrambled eggs.
The drinks first: both of the capps were enjoyed and full of flavour. I had the latte looking for something a little lighter to drink with my melt, but it was one of the weaker latte's ive had but the actual flavour was fine. The best of the coffees was the long mach which was good.
The eggs and the toasted sandwich was fine, but nothing to get excited about. The tiramisu was pretty good, but i suspected it was in the display for a while.
Overall a nice experience, good coffee, decent food and will return if in the area.
decor 6/10 food 5/10 service 5/10
Almost there!. Staff are always really nice. Coffee is really average. The only reason I have given it more than one chance is the fact that the staff are nice. It such a cool little cafe and if they learn't how to make coffee it would be great.
Firstly it's my fav as they treat me and my collies like royalty, they even bring them out sausages...for free! If every resturant had staff and food like this, ohh what a beautiful world this would be:) 12 thumbs up
Go there most days, reliably good coffee, great staff, can't beat it in north Perth
Funky Retro. Went there recently for weekend breakfast. Great! Service was on the ball. Great eggs and coffee. Highly recommended.
On one of my days off at work, I decided to ride my bike to Milk’d in North Perth, which is about a 15 minute ride from my house, and to try and catch up on some blogging. They also had free wifi, which is why I came in the first place (yippee!). Milk’d is one of my favourite choices to have some food, pick up something sweet or to get my coffee fix. A huge draw card for Milk’d is the fact it’s open so early in the morning (I drive past on my morning shifts and see people picking up their coffee at 6:30am), and closes later than other cafes. I find that Milk’d is a good place to go to get take away coffee and maybe to pick up some lunch, borrow some wifi for an hour or two, or do some people watching. There’s not a lot of seating inside or outside, and I would suggest some place elsewhere for a long catch up with a friend – somewhere like Sayers Sister or Pimlott & Strand, both places that are nearby. Only a handful of seating inside and outside of Milk’d
Overall I love the funky vibe in this fun café, I felt my dish in particular could be recreated at home, however there are plenty of other menu options I'd like to try – and no doubt I will be returning for the amazing coffee.
It prides itself on serving fresh and organic food, using only organically grown ingredients. However Perth City Farm is more than a cafe, it in fact embraces the whole concept of organic living. On the weekends, there’s a market that which sells organically grown produce. Perth City farm has it’s own community garden and also a community centre.
Overall, this is one of the best breakfasts I've had in Perth. Great menu with different ideas and a twist to the norm.
Milkd is a simple concept well executed, minimalistic yet comfortably cool with an urban inner city feel.
I'll be upfront - we both love Milkd North Perth, so this review is not going to be harsh at all. It is a favourite of ours and we'll keep going back there. But it is one of the last times we'll go back as a local,
Nice little cafe we came across for a quick brunch.
Coffee was very nice flavour and good strength.
Food options quite varied and no worries swapping things if needed.
Several options along this small cafe strip so definitely worth a look if in doubt 👍🏼👍🏼
Had breakfast here with a friend last week. Food great staff very friendly. Great atmosphere and reasonably priced

I went yesterday and the staff was very friendly with us. Recommended it highly.
Good coffee. Good stuff. It feels like a business more than a coffee shop. Scrambled eggs were a 6/10. Having said that, it is reasonably priced and is down to earth compared with the other coffee shops in the area.
Excellent Cafe for a quick bite and coffee. Really good coffee!
I'm someone who needs eggs done right to enjoy my breakfast, it's so often over cooked. But milkd & Co absolutely nailed my breakfast. Excellent value, PERFECT fried eggs on toast with only $3 to add a load of bacon. I don't often give breakfast a 10/10 but they deserve it!
We shared morning coffee and light breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the meal and experience. The service was friendly, efficient and quick. The food was well prepared and tasty and the coffee was first class. Lovely ambience and value for money also. Highly recommended.
