Review Rossonero Pizza - Maylands

This place has good pizza and radiates good vibes. Love the starters olives. Will definitely come back and explore more. Phil provided the best customer service. Wish I had taken a photo with him.

We did not expect this place to be so good! We were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table. We were a little worried about the basic ingredients at first, but once they came out and we took our first bite.. it was amazing! The flavour, the dough/base was all spot on. Will definitely be back again.

Excellent pizza and probably now the best pizza we've had. Been here a few times now and always came with other couples too, and everyone has commented that the pizza is amazing. You can BYO With $2,50 per person corkage. Highly recommend

Kids friendly (high chairs available). It's not Perth's most authentic Italian pizza, but it has good light dough and flavours. The sizes are not huge so you can easily have one per person. The menu is seasonal and fairly short, not many "traditional" choices. Sad they didn't have any dessert but they said they are working on them! The atmosphere is great, casual for families but cozy enough for a date, with a few booth seats. The service was extremely quick and friendly, we were in and out in less than 30'! 2.5$/person for corkage, there is a bottle shop at the corner but it was closed at dinner time.

Think i found my new fav pizza spot! Cool little place tucked away, and the pizzas were just wow. Flavour combos are not the same old boring fare and actually worked really, really well. Only thing was that the margherita was a bit saucy for my own personal preference, but this did not detract from how much I enjoyed it at all. Will definitely be coming back with more friends to sample the rest of the menu.

The best pizza around. Happily drive half an hour to come get pizza from Rossonero’s. They use amazing quality ingredients and the crust tastes divine. The staff are lovely too.

Do yourself a favour and either dine in or pick up these amazing pizzas yourself. I should have known better to order on Ubereats but I took a chance. The pizzas showed up cold as stone and both cheesecakes were completely missing from the order. So disappointed.

Great pizzas, absolutely delicious and great prices. Olives as a starter when you sit down and $2 corkage per person. Really friendly staff and great service.

Great vibe, matched with welcoming staff and excellent t quality food. Wait time on pizzas was short. BYO but easy to remedy if you wish to drink with bottle shop around the corner.

Fresh interesting pizzas in a quirky but friendly setting. Definitely worth a try for lovers of great pizzas. Family and group friendly. Great service with a very chatty and helpful staff.

Great vibe, mouth-watering menu, delicious pizzas and well priced. They allow BYO which is awesome. We shared a heap of pizzas and enjoyed it with some drinks we purchased at the local bottle shop. This place is a little gem.

Good food, atmosphere service, etc... Really like the crust on the pizzas.

The owner really believes in top quality service. Was there on a busy night and the pizzas came out a bit late. When it came time for us to leave, the owner would not accept any payment for the meal totaling over $80! Thank you again Fil.

Fil the owner operator knows how to deliver both quality food and great service in a relaxed environment at a price that won’t damage the card too much

Part of a growing vibrant scene in Maylands this is a must try place....... it probably won’t be your last visit!

I don’t usually write reviews but just had to for this place - amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts. An absolute gem. Definitely the best pizza in Perth and a very funky vibe. Family friendly and affordable.

A hidden gem! Excellent service, great atmosphere and amazing pizzas. We were a large booking but all the food came out at the same time and every pizza was delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

Holy moly! How did I not know about this place earlier?! You’d be forgiven to not know, seeing as this place is completely hidden around the corner down a dark alleyway. I’m so glad I’ve discovered this little gem, and now it will be my go-to pizza place! A huge menu, full of exciting ingredients (I had to google a few), relaxed vibe, and friendly staff. The food though- wow! The pizza toppings were fresh, but the crust was the winner. Thin and crispy on the bottom, and light and fluffy on the edges. You can actually taste this crust- it’s that good! Plus, BYO and free olives? How can you go wrong? Faultless!

Consistently delicious pizza with a menu that changers with the season, who spent love eating local fresh produce. It's pretty low key which is nice and the service is always friendly. Definely one of the best pizza options in Perth!

This back alley pizza place is truly a gem! We ordered a variety of pizzas with homemade bases, delicious fresh toppings and friendly service. Would recommend if you’re after a quality pizza and not wanting the generic crap!

A fantastic evening at Rossonero. They cheerfully and attentively looked after our booking for ten, including four children with varying degrees of manners. Happily took away the birthday cake we bought and returned it, candles lit and with all the plates, knives etc we needed, when we requested it. They've got some amazing creations on the menu, and my conservative Dad was initially suspicious but ended up cleaning everyone's plate. They even made a plain tomato and cheese pizza for the kids to share. The food is terrific, fresh ingredients, beautifully cooked. Just couldn't fault the grub, or the atmosphere, or the service. We'll definitely be back!

Lovely decor and adventurous pizzas with a delightful one-man-band approach to waitstaffing -- while service can require a little patience, the staff are incredibly welcoming and the food arrived promptly. It's a unique, considered, cohesive and genuine dining experience. A treasure.

Amazing place. Highly recommend the Brussel Crowe. BYO is very cheap and the pizzas are amazing. Has a really cool vibe and the owner is really friendly and chilled. Feels like your eating in his house kind of vibe.

Rossonero is my happy place. Every single time I have had a wonderful time. The space is cool, the owner Phil is the nicest guy in the world and goes above and beyond every time. Let’s not forget the pizza - it’s fantastic, not heavy on toppings, great dough and sauce. Big fan right here.

Tried this place for the first time tonight and it’s lived up to the hype. It is a hidden gem but once you find it, you’ll be glad you did.

The base is light and crispy which is how I like it. You can choose the more creative toppings or stick to the classics. We’ll be back for sure

Really really great pizza. I thought the menu looked a bit wacky, but everything we tried tasted great (you will find the classics on there too though, so no need to panic). I love that they play exclusively 80’s music, which leads me to my only complaint: why aren’t the wait staff on rollerblades?
Andrewrd1970
glad we sat out in the lane with pooch, and will say that both pizzas were exceptionally good, best ive eaten in this State.
it would have got 4.5... and the reason; im all for an 80’s soundtrack god knows i was bought up on the stuff, but in a restaurant at a decent volume with no sound baffling in the place, it’s tough to hear yourself think. deeply selfish of the person in charge of the tunes.

A really stunning little gem! At first I was unimpressed when trying to come in for a table as the guy at the counter ignored me waiting while he chatted to a friend/customer, and it was only because my friend was on her way that I sat down. But then I realised they just give all their attention to the customer in front of them as I was then promptly provided water and menus, and the waiter was really lovely and helpful. My friend hadn't arrived so I pondered the menu while the waiter brought complimentary olives straight away which appeased my hangry while waiting for an always late friend.

While some of the menu looked a bit out there, I was really curious and it paid off. My friend and I split a couple of pizzas and the Brussel Crowe which had brussel sprouts, pancetta and buffalo mozzarella on a white base of garlic and parmesan. This was delish! And we had a Honey I'm Home with sopressa, chilli, honey and basil with tomato and parmesan - I could have inhaled this! Everything was gorgeous - thin, beautifully textured Italian style bases with great flavours, top notch ingredients and friendly staff. We also got the $5 ice cream sandwiches which had Chicho gelato. The house made choc chip cookies were lovely - would have been good to see the flavours on a list as there were several. The gelato was too soft as it oozed out of the cookies too easily but they were so yummy and good value, good size.

A reasonably priced place as the drinks and food were all well priced. The pizzas raged between $17-20 and dessert was good. I found a new local fave with lovely staff and geeat service - bloody rare in Perth!

As a local in Maylands with plenty of pizza options, this is my favourite. Went for dinner on a Saturday night with friends, and overall it was a great atmosphere with fantastic service. The Sticky Pig pizza was a standout favourite in our group along with the choc mint brownie gelato sandwich (made by amazing Chicho Gelato). They were super flexible with split billing, so it's great if you're with a group.

Amazingly beautiful flavours, crust to die for. Great atmosphere and hard to choose from the menu, all looked ao tasty. We chose 4 between 4 and were not disappointed, Brussel Crowe was a standout.Very friendly owner, i cannot wait to go back.

Rossonero have made a bold decision to open a pizza place when Maylands already has several. However I can see the reason behind their confidence when I tried their pizza. The crust is thin, the toppings cooked to perfection. They have a funky menu with some interesting combinations and I can't wait to try more of it. Service was friendly and they provide you with olives while you wait which is a nice touch. I had their gelato sandwich to finish and it was nice, nothing spectacular but certainly hit the spot.

The venue itself looks like it could use a little more warmth in the decor. It is modern and clean but a bit bare in certain areas. A minor criticism really considering they've got the food down pat.
Love the obscure location, stripped down ambience and BYO option. Pizzas are super thin and delicious, loved the balsamic glaze and rocket pizza, even the vegetarian pizza was great. Gelato sandwiches are a great finish, hopefully they will consider dessert pizza in the future! Highly recommended.

I recently heard about a new pizza place in Maylands called Rossonero Pizza and as I totally love pizza I got it in my head (basically immediately) that I’d like to go. And instead of just dinnering at said pizza place I’d like to take myself on a bit of a Maylands bar crawl, because despite growing up in the area it isn’t somewhere I usually head at night…. unless I’m visiting my parents’ place 🙂 So the mission was on.
