Best restaurant in McLaren Vale. Wonderful service, led by Shona. Just the right amount, attentive without being intrusive. Can not fault the food. Entree, main, dessert & wine pairings were spot on. Hands down the best overall experience we’ve had in a long time.

Another delicious meal at one of our local favourites. Pate and bread to start, hubby had the Sirloin & I had the crab pasta both cooked to perfection, no room for dessert this time. Love the relaxed atmosphere, the fabulous staff, and the always amazing Maria looking after us.

The freshest and tastiest seafood pasta, as was the duck. Beautiful flavors, fresh and really well complimented with the wine. The staff are really excellent, friendly and efficient. Recommended!

First time here and we loved it. The old house is such a great setting for Italian food. The chef honours Italian food culture with pride. The staff were wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the whole experience. We will go back.

Have lived in the Vale for a year and keep driving past saying "must go in there" Yesterday I managed to stop with my wife and had one of the best meals I have had in Adelaide, Excellent quality cuisine, well prepared and tastes that blend seamlessly..... Pleasant, cheerful service with that "family" feel The only criticism I could raise would be the road noise but hey it is where it is and for the experience and quality its a trivial point........

This is an exceptional Italian restaurant. The chef here clearly knows his stuff. Beautiful produce, great flavour combinations, expertly prepared and delivered to the table by authentically warm wait staff. Very nice wines too.

Stopped by for lunch it was an enjoyable lunch Was greeted by a super sweet waitress who made our lunch lovely. We ordered: garlic bread, salmon carpaccio, fish of the day, a duck pasta and a crab pasta (can’t remember the exact name of the dishes). Throughly enjoyed the duck pasta, would recommend that dish. Everything else was quite good too but the salmon carpaccio was a little underwhelming. Service was amazing and accommodating. The garlic bread came with 3 pieces but we asked for 4 and they catered it for us. Definitely worth a try and would recommend to friends ☺️

Wow! This is the best Italian food we've had in Australia and was not expecting it from this place in McLaren Vale. The staff are very kind and the service was great. We had mussles which were cooked in an amazing tomato sauce that we couldn't get enough of then the 2 pasta dishes were similarly delectable which was followed by the fish of the day which was beautifully cooked and came with very fresh and well cooled/seasoned greens. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Another first time visit and oh wow amazing. Why you ask? Staff so friendly. Food was to die for. Home made pasta. Very nice homey comfortable decor. Great local wine selection including their own. A hidden gem in the McLaren Vale. It was busy and it was Winter, so I would book.

Simply stunning – food, location, experience! A wonderfully warm welcome and then quickly seated on the verandah – warm, fresh air, and a relaxing lunch. We shared some Pane al Forno (wood-oven bread) served with butter which was so tasty. Mark from Maxwell’s recommended the Pappardelle Anatra e Zaffereno (pappardelle, slow-cooked duck, pancetta, artichokes, chilli, garlic, saffron cream & pecorino) which was out of this world – the best pasta I’ve ever eaten. Perfectly cooked pasta with extremely generous amounts of duck – sensational. My husband had the lamb shoulder ragu with penne which he loved. And my friend had Taglierini al Granchio (taglierini, SA crab meat, leek, garlic, chilli, flamed brandy & napoletana sauce) which she devoured with gusto – and said was amazing. And I’d highly recommend a walnut, pear, rocket & pecorino salad with balsamic reduction. Service from Jess was warm, friendly and efficient. A wonderful place for lunch in the McLaren Vale.

Nice outdoor seating along the deck. Choices are limited. Aranchinni balls were crunchy on the outside, tastes creamy inside, could be cheesier. Garlic bread was crispy but not very buttery or garlicy. Mains were delicious. Steak was cooked medium rare and goes well with the sauce. Pork fillet was a bit tough but the creamy sauce was delicious and all the pairing condiments went well with it. Crackle was crispy. Seafood pasta was yummy and generous with the seafood. Crab pasta was also heartwarming. Fish of the day was good too. Overall food Was good but nothing went wow for me..

Gnochi Funghi one of the best I've had! But the lamb shoulder pasta was a more on the salty side. Overall great pasta!
