We stopped here on a tour of the McLaren Vale region. Hannah was our host at this venue and she was very personable and helpful. Location: the cellar door was inviting and had a beautiful rustic appeal with both indoor and outdoor seating. The toilets are in a seperate building but that allows a little walk around the property to appreciate it. Wine: the wine was fantastic and tasted good. The knowledge passed on from Hannah regarding the efforts and ingredients into the wine made us appreciate it even more. It is because of this a purchase was made. Food: the option to purchase a platter was available and this platter was well designed and was a great addition to the wine tasting

Lovely tiny cosy place, nice wines, particularly bubbly one, good options on cheese platter. People are friendly and caring.

Awesome winery, beautiful wines with a top notch cellar door. We turned up yesterday on our bikes 5 minutes before a group arrived. Our host did an excellent job serving us as well as catering to the group, plus a lovely plate of home made cheese, crackers and olives. Good work 🙂

Shingleback wine cellar has always been a pleasure to visit. The staff is extremely friendly and wines are good. Did the seafood on the rocks yesterday. Chef Horst was a wonderful host and the dishes are magical. A must do experience!! Highly recommended.

Starting this review with how beautiful and rustic the establishment is. Love it, The staff , spectacular with knowledge of these flavours. Designed, explained, and the taste is EXCACT. The wines (eventually).. are every bit deserving of the gold trophy awards obtained .

Highly recommend the ‘WineFood’ Chef’s table experience hosted by Chef Horst. We thoroughly enjoyed a lovely 4 course menu which was prepared right in front of us. With excellent value, friendly staff and lovely wines – you can’t go wrong!

Thoroughly spoiled by Horst for the Chef's table experience. Each element throughout the 4 courses really delivered an unforgettable experience of Horst's winefood philosophy. Entree got us to a flying start with cured salmon and salmon terrine. Perfectly seared barramundi followed by an equally Perfectly executed pork filet made for good company with our Shiraz. To top it off , the Shiraz creme Brulee added a welcome twist to the classic. All of the foods incorporated elements of great wine and really brought the flavours to play. So, so, so good! Thank you Horst and Renate for your kind hospitality!
