Review 67 Union St Deli - McMahons Point

Went there on Saturday morning for breakfast The cafe sits on a quiet street. The inside is small but quite cozy. The cafe owner was friendly and nice. Coffee was average. The eggs benny was the least good-looking one I have ever had. It didn’t taste good. The big fella was good though. I like the toast and bacon. The bacon was not oily and good with avocado. The grill mushrooms were somehow sweet.

Great staff, very good coffee. The food is aldo delicious well presented and in good quantities. The staff there is very nice and friendly and also very efficient. I go there almost every day for takeaway coffee or business meetings.

A little gem of a cafe. Tiny little place that does simple, tasty food and good coffee. Our only criticism was we got one to go at the end and they're clearly using the same shot with more milk in the larger takeaways.

Nice cafe. Had a good vibe and the burgers were tasty.

I stumbled across this place as I worked up the road and what a surprise I got. Beautiful coffee and delicious food served to you by the most humble and kind staff! Every morning I come and order my coffee and each day it tastes as good as when I first tried it. Thank you guys :)

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The outside seating is terrible and the tables are very rocky and unstable, one of the tables ended up falling on my toe. The chai latte I got tasted like it’d had been brewed with water and had no real flavour not to mention was spilt slightly because of the rocky tables. The burger I ordered was soggy and I was unable to eat more than a few bites. Will never be returning!!

Been there with the Groupon voucher. Ordered 2 classic wagyu burger and added bacon as additional side for $3 and 2 coffees. Coffee tastes okay, but there was no patterns on it (thought this is unusual).

Wagyu burger is terrible. The patty is small with lots of flour and fat and does not taste fresh. The $3 bacon side comes up with only 2 small pieces. I commented to the lady boss that $3 for 2 small pieces of bacon is really expensive. She reduce the price to $2 which in my viewpoint is still too expensive.

Definitely would not pay full price for the burger and coffee and would not come back or recommend other friends here.
A lovely little restaurant to have breakfast, lunch or a smoothie on the run. The food is insta worthy, and utterly mouth watering. There are not a lot of options on the menu, but the restaurant makes up for it in flavour and portion sizes. The staff are super friendly, and the food is prepared promptly. The whole feel of the restaurant is comfortable urban. I should mention that I found the prices a bit high, and therefore could not go as often as I would have liked. It's a pretty cool spot to have a yummy breakfast in North Sydney.

A little tucked away gem. This great little coffee shop offers delectable coffee & toast for a great morning pick-me-up. Whether it's meeting with friends and sitting outside on the sloping sidewalk on wobble tables, or inside with my laptop in their downstairs basement. The atmosphere is comfortable and pretty relaxed.

Brunch is also great here and I've had many a meal here with friends who have all always been satisfied.

It's a shame that it only opens until 3pm on most days, but I can understand from its location.

Had my one and only cafe brunch in Sydney on this trip at the unassuming little cafe that is 67 Union St Deli in McMahon's point, near the Harbour. Arriving quite early in the day, I was surprised to see that almost all street parking was already taken. We ended up parking quite far and walking back to the store.

Usual customer of the place, brought my gf for the first time today, ordered mushrooms and holly eggs. Eggs were poached hard and hollandaise sauce was split, pretty upset that couldn't knock it out of the park for her first impression...

Visited today for breakfast with my family. Great coffee, service and food. Will definately return and highly recommend to anyone in McMahons Point to visit.

Very sad the best Bacon & Egg rolls in Sydney are now just average. This place used to have one of the best Bacon & Egg rolls I've ever had, new Management I suspect has changed that, still a nice roll/place, but no longer anything special.

Their old light bun/brioche has been replaced by changing versions of roll, but all rather "standard." They have also replaced what was an amazing special sauce/relish that tantalised your taste buds, with simple BBQ.....oh and the egg is no longer slightly runny.

What was heaven in a small roll, is now just breakfast.
For The Love Of Food
This is one of my go to places for a tasty breakfast on the lower north shore. The mushroom avocado on toast with feta and chilli is fantastic. They also do a good bacon and egg roll. Very friendly, locals place
Excellent vibe on a Saturday morning. Good brekky -I had the eggs hollandaise and chorizo on a brioche bun . Bread tasted fresh , the poached eggs were a bit overcooked but the chorizo was cooked to perfection and sauce was creamy . Highly recommend te organic chai

Fantastic food, with a quick service. Friendly customer service, in a quiet yet comfortable environment, with a nice modern yet vintage dining experience. Love places like this - simple menu, simple food - fantastic dishes. 5/5 - will be back more often!

Oh yeah!. 67 union St deli is an absolute fantastic cafe/deli with good food and great personalities. The set up and interior aesthetics immediately give off a relaxed and welcoming vibe that goes hand in hand with the easy laid back peronalities of the staff. The people who work there are like magnets, you are immediately drawn to them and then they keep you coming back for another dose of laughter and good times! Same with the food, a simple menu but everything on it is tastes superb!! Their salads are to die for, and their burgers and their avocado toast....everything is just so scrumptious. 67 uses the best of the best coffee beans as well, meaning that every coffee is satisfying with a perfect creamy taste:) in general 67 is a place where the best memories are made, memories of good food and great tasting coffee and memories of great service to. Its the best place !. So sad to see the review below by lillian james this morning on 67 union st deli is a small happy cafe that serves fresh DELICIOUS food 7 days a week - all served with love and laughter. every meal I have had there has been beautifully presented and tasted amazing and if ever I wasnt 100% happy I wouldn't hesitate to speak to the onwer with my concerns instead of driving away and writing a damaging review but ive never been served something I wasn't happy with.Such a small cafe that is owned and operated by people that love what they do deserve a conversation ! I love going there and so do all my friends so I'll be back again tomorrow sipping on the best coffee available in the entire area and daring to try the airy bread .

So disappointed!. We found this café in the Good Food Guide and had high hopes. It does have a nice Newtown kind of vibe, with friendly although a seemingly a bit inexperienced staff. I began by ordering the banana bread but was told that they had run out. Then decided to order the mushrooms on toast. We perched ourselves on a stool, helped by a kind waiter who had managed to find us an additional stool, so that we could grab the last available spot. Coffee came and was great. However, I was then approached by the waitress and told that they had also run out of mushrooms, so my second choice of breakfast was also a no go. The menu is pretty limited anyway, so this didn't leave many options. I settled for just toast and jam on soy linseed. I really should have cut my losses and left it at coffee. The toast tasted like white bread, was sliced really thinly so that most of it was air holes and so hard that it really was inedible. My partner said his bacon and egg roll was fine, but not amazing. A nice place to go for a quick coffee, but not for much more.

As a follow up to this post, I had a private message from the proprietor, which in my opinion is always a sign of a good business and I would like to thank him/her for taking the time to follow up. I was unfortunately, unable to do a direct reply. However, I would just like to say that I think that I gave a fair and unbiased review which also highlighted the positive aspects of this venue. I understand that they had run out of mushrooms due to a personal emergency. These things happen and wouldn't have been a problem if this had been explained or if I had the option of my first choice of banana bread. According to the owner the bread was also another variety rather than soy linseed which I ordered. Again, this perhaps could have been explained to me when I asked if it was soy linseed and was told it was. I'm sure that this is a great café for all the locals that patronize it and perhaps I was just unlucky with my experience.
Life Of A Travel Czar
So its a calm morning, as I take the relaxed stroll through McMahon’s Point to have some breakfast. We stop at a little deli on Union St. They do rustic gourmet sandwiches, have a producers style set-up and have the waft of fresh espresso filling the air every morning. My friend opts for a piccolo, while I have my usual skim flat white. My coffee has enough strength to wake me up, while the silky velvety mix of espresso and milk flow through my bloodstream like a rush of oxygen… it’s amazing. I also opt for some breakfast, which today is a toasted sourdough topped with avocado, juicy tomatoes and a sprinkling of Persian Feta with a side of lemon. The ripe juicy tomatoes are just bursting with flavour, the soft creamy avocado provides a light balance to the dish, while the sour tartness of the feta adds another dimension to the dish. The olive oil drizzled over the top, stamps this dish as one of those light Mediterranean “kic
Little Eats Sydney
An inner city style deli with an awesome playroom for little ones. Grab one of their delicious single origin coffees from the takeaway window out front or relax downstairs whilst the little ones are happily occupied. The menu is simple and everything is done well.

There seems to be a new wave of urban cafes opening across the lower North Shore. People have been crying out for cafes like 67 Union St Deli and I can understand why it has become so popular over its relatively short life. It provides that awesome inner city vibe and they have really thought about their simple menu and focussed on providing everything to a high standard. The food is fresh and delicious and their philosophy is to minimise waste where possible. The single origin coffee is divine, strong and robust just as I like it. Downstairs offers the perfect area for families. The steep stairs mean it is not ideal for prams.

Terrible. My boyfriend just got me a take away pork sandwich and it was the grossest thing I've ever seen. A few bits of meat drenched in mayo on a burnt white bread bun with a few leaves of lettuce. $9???!! I threw it out.

Great food, good value and friendly staff!. Loved this cute little cafe in North Syd, definitely recommend and will visit again!

Bad coffee and service. You're pretty spoilt for choice with good coffee all along blues point road and North Sydney. I really wouldn't waste your time with this place especially as they can barely acknowledge you in an empty cafe

Bacon and egg roll with rocket and aioli on brioche. One of the best things I've had for breakfast in ages

Friendly and genuine service. Great coffee. Delish breakfast. Tucked away location. A very welcome addition to the drab and overpriced north shore cafe scene. A firm local haunt indeed.
