Tipo 00 - Melbourne - Photo album

One of my favourite Italian restaurant in the city. Everything is aways good. If you couldn’t get a reservation online, please go to the restaurant to put your name down. Best to do late lunch after 2 pm .. you will definitely won’t wait too long . Don’t forget to try their risotto truffle pasta :)
Overall a great experience as always. The entrees - (tartare, ox tongue, calamari were all quite amazing. The mains, the pasta were slightly undercooked but still had a nice flavour. Service was good and it’s definitely worth giving it a go.
Sat outdoors with a table of 4 a few weeks ago. Compared to previous visits, the pasta this time was slightly underseasoned which impacted the overall flavour of the dish - in particular the Moreton Bay Bug pasta which made is a bit bland. Finally tried Melbourne’s famous pasta bar, Tipo 00 (after many failed attempts at securing a booking) - and I gotta say, the pasta here is seriously some of the best you can get! Honestly don’t think you can go wrong with any dish on their menu, but some of my top picks would be the Zucchini flowe

pasta felt pretty average. The appetizer (ox tongue) was better compared to the mains. I had pretty high expectations of the place given the glowing reviews I see here, but we left disappointed. Both of our pasta (squid ink & Gippsland rabbit pasta) were hard texture wise and felt lacklustre. The ra
Tipo 00 was outrageous... Outrageously good. That's what Gordon Ramsey would have said and I completely agree with that. Great cozy atmosphere, friendly staff explaining each part of the menu for you. Food was tasty and very filling. A night to remember!
