Went out of their way to get us a table when they were busy. The service was excellent, particularly the way the table waiter engaged with us. Took my family from the Philippines there and they really enjoyed the food. We will be back soon as the steak was heaven and just melted in our mouths.
Amazing food! Just a little pricey. The baste they use on the steaks and chicken tastes so good and I wish I could buy it to use at home! Smallish meals for what you pay but that's expected in Melbourne.

as this was our last night in Melbourne we decided to dine out and we chose your establishment,being from Qld( we have a number of top class steak houses)so to compare apples with apples was no easy task,both our steaks came as we had ordered,and the pepper sce was a great side,the serves were very generous and would take a hungry person to finish the meal my wife s pasta was very generous and filling., One question why could we not take home with us the ceaser sald that was ordered but couldnt be eaten I would have thought that this meal was ours to what we wished, as we were billed and paid for it Aside frothis the service was great and the service was frindly and timley

This place has great atmosphere and service, the food is delicious and the portion sizes are very generous. Itās a bit pricey but you absolutely get what you pay for. Highly recommend.
Always have great experiences there. Particularly good one with Billy the waiter. That guy is on his game and very genuine and impressive. After a shit night being knocked back a table at 8:29 in st Kilda road squires. Billy redeemed us completely. Amazing šš¼
Occasionally will drop in to dine at this restaurant. Will normally order their bbq pork ribs which is quite special meal marinated and bbq to perfection.
They serves side order of bread which is so crispy and yummy. Their sticky date pudding is a must dessert to end the meal. Prices will be hefty if you order too much like steaks and wine together. Overall, satisfying meals end of the day even the price is a consideration.
Steaks were cooked to perfection but my scotch fillet was not to the quality of other good steak places. Salad was very basic but fresh. Prawns were good. The service staff were lovely but lacked that extra finesse; forgetting small things like; straws for mixed drinks, asking if weād like more drinks, providing correct cutlery for entrees etc.
Squires loft South Yarra has a great atmosphere, good service and excellent food. All our steaks were cooked perfectly and the ribs were fall off the bone. Our mocktails were nice and the wide variety of sides were delicious. Recommended highly for anyone in the area.
Been here twice for work lunch. It was So worth it! $16 for a burger and chips, and it aint ordinary burger, I had the friend chicken one it was better than all the fancy chicken burgers i had in the cafes.Ā

Amazing! Scotch fillet and pork ribs were incredible! Service was fantastic! They knew it was my birthday so I got a free fudge cake dessert! I have never enjoy a steak so much, cooked perfectly, just under done and so tender omg! You donāt even need to order the sauce, although the blue cheese sauce was to die for! Can not wait to go back! Perfect! 5 stars!

My sister and I dined at this branch and it was so good! We had a steak each along with a side of salad. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, my sister had hers cooked well done (I know, who has well done steak!) and I had mine medium rare. The steak came out perfectly and we were so satisfied and full! Meal for 8 ppl last night , two wait staff managed our table . They were very attentive and took drinks orders straight away . All the order were correct and all steaks cooked perfectly . I was very impressed with the service . Dine out weekly and this was by far the best service and food I had in a while . The two wait staff were very organised and experienced
I absolutely loved this place. Staff was friendly, setting and atmosphere was on point and most importantly the food was amazing. We ordered the pork ribs, Black Angus porterhouse, Caesar salad and the Sticky date pudding and all of which tasted delicious. Iāll be back for sure :)
When I go out for a steak I want it to be better than what I can cook myself at home and this meal did just that! The steaks were cooked to perfection, accompanied by crunchy chips and plenty of mushroom sauce. The only fault was the clumsy service.

Had an excellent meal here. Most items on the menu are gluten free excluding the burgers and deserts. Excellent steaks and ribs. Great gf chips and gf onion rings. Pleasant staff and very good service. We will certainly be back.
Oh my gosh. The most incredible steak you can get. The most succulent ribs I have eaten I go back really often as I am never disappointed. Even the bread is incredible. Try the black pepper sauce.
Went here tonight with the wife for a belated birthday dinner and neither of us could find fault. The service was prompt, attentive and warm, the food was plentiful, beautifully prepared and remarkably tasty and the atmosphere was open, airy and laid-back. I ordered a plate of pork ribs with chips and a side of fried onion (a tonne of food, but it was my birthday), washed down with a couple a beers, while the wife ordered a rib eye with chips. No need for additional sauces, the basting on the meat is a perfect accompaniment. For the quality and quantity of food, the cost would probably not class this as a regular place to eat, but certainly somewhere worth coming back to for repeat visits.
I ordered a medium rare porterhouse with baked potatoes and eye fillet with chips. The steak were beautifully grilled, perfect medium rare. Overall, it was a decent dining experience. Lowkey hoping the staff could be friendlier than he was today.

Squires loft has always been a great place for a decent steak! Their basting is delicious and portion sizes are huge. The staff are well trained and provide great service. The only downfall is they are very pricey, but you pay for the experiance

Squires Loft is popular for their excellent stake items. They are one of the best stake makers in town in my view. Its so popular that it is almost impossible to get a sit if you don't pre-book even on weekdays. The restaurant is not too spacious but service is good.
The Steak was good but a bit over cooked for medium rare. The ambience on the top level good. We got to replace the chips with a side of salad. My friend ordered a vegetable skewer and that was delicious, definitely recommend that.
Steak night with hubby and friends. It is really Tim even without the sauce. High credit given to the baked potato too. You get what you give for the price! I like the porterhouse comes with more fat while eye fillet comes with less fat was my hubby's favorite.

Had the eye fillet which was like butter. So soft.. absolutely delicious. Think it's ridiculous that you have to pay $5 for sauce , usually that's just a choice not an extra cost. So all in all not a cheap meal but definitely the best steak I've ever had.

Great for big groups
We had a party of 14 and they treated us all very well! Our ordered a mixture of steaks, chicken and salmon and they took around 20-25 minutes to put out the order.
Unfortunately, they were out of their lamb dish at the time, so they might be something to be aware of.
Quality of the meal
The steaks were cooked to perfection! And the sauces complimenting the meal were creamy and the sides of either a salad, chips or baked potato were classic additions.
The house glaze on the meat was delicious and gave the meat a rustic and rich taste.
There wasn't a bite I didn't enjoy!
Dessert
We ordered a chocolate mud cake and though it was soft, rich and had a great chocolate sauce, some of it was overly bitter and the texture wasn't consistent.
Service
The service all around was excellent. They let you split the cost of the meal between the party so the bill is easy to manage.
The wait staff are friendly and visit the table regularly.
Conclusion
Whether you're going for a relaxing meal on a weeknight, or celebrating an occasion , I would highly recommend squires loft.
The service is great and the food excellent at Squires Loft South Yarra. I enjoy bringing people here to introduce them to a great steak house. There must be something in the marinade that makes people keep coming back as it's delicious! Each time I visit I'm never disappointed and leave feeling well fed and content!

Great quality steak restaurant. Different cuts and not only steak but Squires Loft caters for chicken, seafood and veggie lovers too. On the higher end of the price scale but you will understand why when you eat there. However service was average though it was a busy night.
Had the scoth fillet with chips and mushroom sauce. It says 300gr however it felt like it was way more - which is good. Very good quality beef and great service.

Delicious, affordable steaks that are on par with some of the other seemingly more "premier" steakhouses.
Some good choices to have are the spare ribs (the pork is tasty), baked mushrooms & feta (yummy), the tiger prawns (juicy), and the 100 day grain-fed black angus (really yummy). I've also on occasion had the lobster tail and it's not too bad as well.
This place has a 100% strike rate. The steaks are up there with the best I have had. The Danish blue cheese sauce is rich an creamy. The ribs are a must for entree. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommend..

Steak, Ribs and loin chops were all cooked to perfection. Got the 200 gram eye fillet, and it was tender and tasty. The ribs are a highlight. The lamb chops were perfect. Is there such thing as a bad lamb chop, though?
If you love meat, then you'll love this place.
Came here two nights ago - the atmosphere was great to begin with. We felt welcome and happy to be there. Bread came out quickly and we were offered drinks. I had a cab merlot and my friend had a chardonnay. We ordered pretty quickly because we were hungry and so I got the Scotch fillet, i ordered it to be cooked medium rare and a serve of the chips. My friend ordered the 200 gram eye fillet cooked rare with a side of baked potato.
When meals came out, mine was charred nicely for medium rare - as was my friends. We cut in and they were almost textbook perfect cooks. Having worked in a steakhouse before, my friend pointed this out and sent her compliments to the chef through the wait staff.
We did not stay for dessert as we were headed to a movie closer to home. We found out there is one in Essendon though so we will be in there soon for hopefully the same quality we got here. Expensive for a steak and chips but ultimately worth it for the experience and the quality of the cook.
Wow... To start we had the prawn skewers for entrƩe, the taste was amazing, it was accompanied with monkey gland sauce, we were simply blown away. We both had the eye fillet with mushroom sauce and chips as well as the baked veggies for main with matching wine. The steak was insanely good and that mushroom sauce was rich but went soo well with the steak and chips. The serving size is impressive, they give you a lot of sauce, Manu Feildel would be in a happy place. We also had the onion rings. We ate soo much but just wanted to keep eating this delicious food. As for the restaurant itself, the ambiance to me speaks warm and inviting. The staff are knowledgeable and very kind and ensure that you always have enough water and drinks throughout your dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant, to me it's my alternative to Rockpool Bar & Grill.
The steaks melt in your mouth. I could end there but I have to tell you above the sweet wait staff that helped me pick the right steak, and the sauce- the blue cheese -that I really wasn't sure of(I'm not a blue cheese fan) but Wow, it was a winner with everyone at my table! Will definitely be back.

Can't go wrong with a glorious steak from here, or my fave were the BBQ Pork ribs (500g) was more then enough, and the sauces on the side were spot on. Chips are always perfect at squires if you are a chip connoisseur. If I was being picky I'd say that the service wasn't as good as it could be, the waitress spilt water all over our table and didn't clean it up properly and couldn't get anyone's attention when it was time for the bill. But overall, it was a pretty busy night, and i can't fault the food here. Would definitely still recommend and would come back again.

My friend and I went here for a catch up tonight - I found it a little too noisy, could barely hear him from across the table - Very busy, I recommend booking beforehand. The waitresses were attentive, the steak was cooked medium-rare perfectly. I like my mushroom sauces a little more creamy, but it was an overall good dinner!
Great restaurant! Warm staff, good wine list! Loved their meat! Did not like very much the baked potato, i would recomend maybe another brand of potato! And putting butter in the middle. And the sour cream would be much better with chives

A standout performer in many respects, but not perfect in any of them.
With a large dining party, I was able to try many of the entrees: eye fillet, chicken and tiger prawn kebabs along with the boerewors and even the lamb loin chops. All had a great smoky flavour from the basting, and the eye fillet kebab and lamp chops in particular were very good, bursting with flavour. Unfortunately the chicken was a little on the drier side, and while the boerewor (sausage) was decent, it was not teeming with meaty juices the way I have come to expect from some other establishments.
This story of close-but-no-cigar continued into the main course. Again, the basting lended my rib-eye on the bone a unique, tangy flavour. But the gloriously fatty slab of meat, while tender overall, could be sinewy at times and therefore demanded a bit more chewing.
A shout-out should go towards the service, however. In contrast to the studied aloofness sometimes seen in meaty havens, service was always delivered warmly, with plenty of smiles and thank-yous. Plenty of accommodation was given to the fact we were celebrating a birthday.
In short, it's not quite the best steak I've had in Melbourne, but a very decent effort. Definitely recommended though, given that the prices are generally more reasonable than from some other steakhouses, and given the higher level of service than most of them.
This is a regular for me! Got to start with a shared serve of pork ribs (better than the beef IMO) followed by the 200g eye fillet done rare with mushroom sauce. Hubby upsizes on the steak and has blue cheese sauce with lashings of hot English mustard. If you love a good steak look no further! Cocktail list is also pretty good but they take a while to come.
Long time staple steakhouse of mine when I'm craving a good steak! They consistently cook the steak exactly to your liking and service is always great. I normally order the 200g eye fillet, rare with creamy garlic sauce and chips. A favourite entree is the baked mushroom with feta.
Best steak I have had in melbourne. Never disappoints. Had the 400g rump and it was excellent. Also the service was excellent as always. It is slightly pricy but I would rather pay the bit extra
Visited last Sunday and was looking forward to a tasty steak treat. Ordered the rib eye on the bone with the blue cheese sauce and while the meat and sauce were very tasty and the size of the steak was relatively large (400g) it was a bit too chewy. I expected more tenderness from a rib eye.
As far as service goes, I have no complaints, the waiters were attentive without getting too familiar and meals and drinks were delivered without fuss.
All in all a positive experience, Squires Loft just need to source the meat from a supplier who can give them better steak!
My friends and I loved our meal at Squires Loft, it was perfect but then I was very disappointed with the iced chocolate I had. It came out and looked amazing but it was in a tall glass which was three quarters full of large chunks of ice. I thought this was a big let down after such a lovely meal. Even about half an hour later the ice was too large to eat. I thought that for the amount we were paying it was terrible that there was so little to actually drink in my ice chocolate. Anyway I love your restaurants so will be visiting again.
