The food was super delicious and packed with flavour. I loved every course particularly the sher Wagyu T bone steak which was cooked to perfection! Service was also great and they do a killer pisco sour.
The food is great, great service and wonderful experience.
I’m probably not a big fan of the wine list. It’s a bit strange to sit next to that big window with lots of people taking photos, a bit distracting indeed
Charming restaurant bringing Peruvian dishes to foodies. It's not pretentious so you'll need to put your own napkin on your lap and don't expect the paper menu to be cleared from your table anytime soon. Pisco Sours will grab the side of your mouth in a vice grip as your palette prepares for the enduring honesty of smoked ribs and tuna skewers. Good night out with friends that won't break the bank.
delicious food... felt a our seating time was rushed but it was a Divine experience.

Melhor comida peruana em town! Não estranha o sucesso. Entre ceviche e grill. Fiquei fan ! Voltaria
4.5 stars!
Feast of the Andes was definately a feast!! Food was amazing, wished the portion of the cerviches were bigger as they were my favourite dish along with the beef which was seasoned and cooked perfectly.
By the time main came we were so full it was a shame that we couldn't eat more. Every dish was different, we definately experienced the taste of Peru.
Service was great too.
With 11 of us there was a minimum spend of $1500. We were under so had to buy drinks nobody really wanted just to cover the cost.
Great night out and I'll come back just for a bowl full of cerviche.
Thanks Pastuso.
Great ambiance, good good and friendly people.
This place us must to go in Melbourne. Food options are varied accompanied by great wine selection.
Located in one of touristy spots of Melbourne, place is easy to find.
I tried Peruvian cuisine for the first time, it was well cooked and good on spice levels.
Corn cake, steak and chicken were really good.
Cheers
we had our valentines dinner here and it was amazing!!! we loved all the dishes we got. the waitress was really helpful and attentive and gave us a gauge of how many dishes to get for a full meal.
we got the grilled calamari, fried chicken and tuna/steak skewers for entrees. they were all lovely - the fried skin on top of the calamari was a rly nice touch and the sauces to compliment the skewers was so well-balanced!!
we got the red onion steak and salad on the side. we enjoyed the steak so much. the char on the steak just made it so flavourful and the sauce was powerful yet just enough at the same time.
was thinking of not getting dessert but i’m glad i got it in the end because the dessert was my favourite part of the meal!!! the soursop ice cream hits the right spot. fresh and tart - it was amazing. the pastries were crispy and the entire dessert was so light, we could easily eat a couple more servings if given the chance.
we’ll definitely be back again to try the other dishes. we were so happy with all of them. all the dishes were on point and staff were extremely friendly to us 🤩
A really nice experience! Had dinner with friends, perhaps it could have been a bit quieter, but we appreciated a busy restaurant. Good menu, great service, with our waiters very knowledgeable with helpful suggestions for matching our meal to the wine list. A definite must try!
I had never tried Peruvian food before so I was excited to dine at pastuso. Suitable for all bookings - small or large. Set menus available.
🍽 El Pollo - Smokey juicy chicken with a delicious zesty salsa. Papa Rellena - not your average croquette. Crunchy outer, fluffy filling which was well seasoned. A must try! Yucus - anything fried and covered in Parmesan is a yes in my books.
Highly recommend dining here!
Blue Grenadier and Trevally ceviche were both fantastic with unique flavour combinations. Lamb cooked to perfection with a sauce that exploded with flavour!!! Service was extremely attentive and food came out at a great pace. Would definitely come back.
First experience with this level of culinary excellence. It was amazing! Flavours complement each other to create a rounded taste in all dishes. I'll use any special occasion as an excuse to come back here!
Amazing services, amazing food.
Entree: salmon, tofu, squid
side: potato and asparagus with yoghurt dressing
Main: roast chicken and steak 500G
Fresh, flavorful, vibrant and out of this world delicious. Service is outstanding and the interior is cosy but modern. Cocktails are also so delicious. Standout dishes had to be the lamb rump, ceviche trevally and the donuts! Will absolutely be back!
Dined here as part of a large group and despite the restaurant being quite loud, it was a great evening. The service is attentive, discrete and friendly. We went for the Feast of the Andes menu and it was to die for - definitely recommend a set menu so you get to try a bit of everything! And the corn cake ... my god it’s amazing.
Been here a couple of times now for the set menus. Of the 3 raw fish I think the kingfish is the best- well balanced and I could like the bowl clean! The salmon is also very very good. Croquettes are delicious too- who doesn’t like fried food? The salmon skewers were a little dry and the fried chicken pieces were good but not special. The smoked chicken is delicious but the presentation with sauce on the side was poor- 3 big lumps of protein with bone are hard to share and not that pretty. The steak is much better presented and tasty by not as tender as I expected. The roast/grilled vegetables were excellent and the fried cassava chips were nice but not exciting but others in the group thought they were amazing. It can be loud and Drinks service can be slow when they are busy.
Never had Peruvian food before. First time and so impressed! Such delicious selections of food, from starters to mains and sweets, definitely loved it!
I have never tried Peruvian food prior to coming here but boy they did not disappoint. It was very different nothing like I’ve ever had but it was amazing I loved it!
My favourite dishes has to be the barramundi, calamari and the donuts. You’ll see everyone ordering this white foamy looking drink and you should definitely try one too. It is alcoholic but it is their signature drink!
The service was excellent as well! Couldn’t fault the place!
Yum! Meal was really tasty & great to share. Loved the Peruano ceviche (very traditional), the corn fritters, the beef was wonderful and the donuts (with sweet potato & pumpkin) were surprisingly good!
Absolutely love the ceviche here! Super fresh, tasty and such interesting flavours. A favourite for occasions.
First time having Peruvian food and my oh my, my mind is blown.
King fish ceviche - I could eat 10 plates of these! Just wow.
Alpaca tartare - I could also eat 10 plates of these. Who would have thought alpaca would be so delicate tasting! & the side of hand cut chippies were perfect.
Mashed potatoes - makes my mash potatoes look terrible. This was a stunning dish.
Beetroot salad - was so fresh and beautiful
Duck with risotto - so so good!
Milk sponge and lemon pie for dessert was just the perfect way to end a perfect night of having an amazing meal.
Highlyyyyy recommend this place!
Everything is beautiful - for a great meal in Melbourne, and many different culinary experiences, you should visit Pastuso.
Service was great, food was timed well and very well seasoned. Cannot fault anything.
Came here a few times for work farewell dinners and I have to say, everything we ordered was sensational! We had our own private area for our meal which made it even nicer. The food was cooked perfectly, with the standout dishes being the chicken and the steak! If you have never been here, definitely check it out!
Lovely place, great service, friendly staff and good food. We ordered the croquette that was amazing, the corn cake that become the highlight of the day. Grilled trout was surprisingly very good, calamari was very fresh. I don't really like the ink sauce though. The beef steak is OK, not the best. Will I come back? Yes! The corn cake, croquette and trout are definitely worth coming back!
We loved 😍
This is one of our favourite restaurants. The seafood dishes were my favourite. The calamari is a must try.
The wagyu was also a highlight. If you was to try something different, the alpaca croquette accompanied with a chilli dip was surprisingly good!
Great customer service and amazing food! I loved the dishes we tried because of the quality and flavors. Amongst 5 of us, we had 5 appetizers dishes, 3 mains and 2 sharing dishes. The serving sizes of the mains were good but the entrees are definitely more like appetizers and a chance to try some well skilled dishes without breaking the bank. I'd highly recommend going with a group so you can try more variety of foods and from my overall experience their seafood was the best! I was also very impressed with their wagyu beef skewers - it was tender, juicy and I want to go back for more! The pisco sour was also a winner amongst us.

It was our fitst time trying peruvian food and Pastuso has left us wanting more. Not an expert in peruvian food, but the food felt like there is a modern asian and australian twist to it. We tried a bunch of ceviche and tapas dishes. They were delicious. Make sure to try the dry aged beef, they were beautiful. Cassava chips also went well with th e beef.
Went here tonight for the first time and loved it! Had the chefs feed me menu at $70 per head which included a variety of dishes from every section of the menu. I also had the ‘Pisco Sour’ cocktail which was absolutely delicious if you’re into a slightly sour drink taste. My recommendation for main would be the ‘El Pollo’ dish...best and most tastiest chicken I’ve ever had! The only reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is because we had a two hour seating and after an hour and 15 mins they were already trying to rush our mains off the table so they could serve our desserts.
We stumbled upon this place after searching for dinner on busy Melbourne Saturday night. We were not disappointed, the vibe was lively and the service was A+. We selected a few dishes off the menu and every selection was delicious and exciting. First of many visits to come.
Catching up with friends over a great meal is always memorable and Pastuso is right up there on top of the list of great food, service and venue!
🔆LOCATION🔆
Melbourne is the best when all the great hidden eats are in alley way! This one is no exception! Pastuso is in prime location in ACDC Lane where many people flock here to take photos of infamous grafitti! ACDC Lane is located off Flinders Lane and very easy to find.
🔆SERVICE🔆
We arrived very early for an early dinner and the restaurant was pretty quiet with about 3 other tables. Our waitress was very helpful with assisting menu choices. Unfortunately we waited very long time for the fish and realised that she had forgottten to put the order in.
🔆MENU/PRICE🔆
Pulpo Al Olivo - Western Australian grilled baby octopus, roasted peppers, shallots and olive sauce, $22.00
Pastel de Choclo - Sweet corn cake with whipped fetta, black garlic, zucchini, confit leek and smoked tarragon vinaigrette, $18.00
Pescado a la Parilla - Chargrilled whole baby barramundi with lemon, parsley and shallot salsa, $49.00
Solterito - Macedon Ranges seasonal tomato, charred baby corn, queso fresco, broad beans, pickled onions and hucatay pesto, $15.00
🔆VERDICT🔆
The food we ordered was absolutely delicious, full of flavour and a delight to eat. My favourite would have to be the grilled baby octopus and the sweet corn cake, but having said that everything we ate was great! Cant wait to go back again!
Great food, service and ambience.
Been here a few times for birthdays and food has been great each time. Steak cooked to perfection. For the quality of food, not expensive either
2019 is a year of firsts, for Peruvian food is another cuisine I have never had until visiting Pastuso in Melbourne. Peruvian cuisine is a reflection of local tradition and influences from Spain, Italy, Germany, Asia and Africa, which results in the food deeply rich in history but also flavour.

Always nice to treat yourself on your birthday! 🎂
We visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and were so impressed we thought we would return as a birthday treat!
Nestled in the heart of Melbourne within the Uber cool AC/DC Lane this hidden gem always delivers!
Silver service is absolutely outstanding, every finer detail has been covered.
Explanations of each dish, how it was made and a lot of loving tender care in the presentation of the food!
We are so blessed in Melbourne to be able to have the opportunity to sample Peruvian food! It's not a common find and when we found out we had access to this cuisine we were super excited to try it!
What did we eat you ask?
🍴: Rollo
🍴: Pulpo Al Olivo Ceviche 🍴: Alpaca Tartare 🍴: Rump Cap 500g 🍴: Papas Criollas
🍸: Mojito
💰: $$$ - finer dining

Went here on a recommendation from a coworker and had to thank him afterwards. It’s all open kitchen so you get a really nice vibe that everything is fresh there. We sat at the ceviche bar and were able to watch them beautifully assemble all the dishes. The kingfish ceviche with pickled sweet potato was super delicious, as was the melt off the bone lamb shoulder and the wagyu croquette. Would pass on the cassava chips next time as they were quite dry. Will definitely recommend to others and visit again as they seem to have slight changes to menu periodically
This place lives up to all the hype! The feed me menu was a great selection of the dishes and made me want to go back again to try more. Pisco Sours are an absolute must!!
An excellent and diverse menu. If you're looking for a taste you haven't experienced before, or a dish that is new and interesting, then Pastuso is highly recommended. The experience benefits from getting a number of smaller plates and sharing them.
Having loved San Telmo, I was excited to try Pastuso and definitely wasn’t disappointed! In fact, I loved it even more. The steak is out of this world good and I love the plantain chips. Service was a bit slow at times, but the outstanding food more than made up for it!
From the minute we sat down, we were served by friendly waitress offering us water, handing out menu’s, offering to put our stuff in the cloak room! Food came out really quick and i was impressed with the quality and taste of the dishes. My favourite was the cassava chips, duck & coriander rice, kingfish ceviche! SO DELICIOUS I COULD NOT FAULT ANYTHING! I had high expectations for dessert and It undoubtedly blew me away! I would definitely come back and try other things on the menu!
Fantastic banquet of varied, delicious dishes. Every plate is so carefully balanced, and designed to elevate the flavour of simple meats and seafood.
Great cocktail selection, attentive service and enjoyable atmosphere.
Went there for lunch after hearing a lot of positive reports about the food. Just as well the food was excellent and delicious, as the service was poor and the hipster waiter on the grumpy and supercilious side. Not knowing anything about Peruvian food, we decided to go with the $70 "Journey Through Peru" banquet (minimum 4 people). It was 12 courses which provided us with a variety of ceviche fish, beef, chicken, and house-made sausage dishes which gave us a good cross-section of Peruvian cuisine
Pastuso is an amazing place. We book our table 10 minutes before. They have very nice staff. I am not eating pork. When kindly asked them, they replace pork with something else. The whole experience was amazing. If you order “Feed me!” Set menu.m, this is what you will exactly get. Enjoy!
The juicy roast chicken is amazing. It could rank top 3 chicken dishes in my life. Other dishes could be 80 out of 100 scores. Overall really good. The chicken is outstanding. Don't miss it.
Wow, what do I say apart from wow. So whilst I normally review places based on food, dining experience and service, this place has just exceeded my expectations with regards to the food. Can't really give it five stars because the service was nothing to write home about but everything we ate was amazing. I will not hesitate to come back. Whilst the majority of food we ordered was seafood, I don't doubt that all of their food has amazing flavours. Have a look at the pics...
First time trying Peruvian food and it was delicious! We ordered the feed me menu ($65pp) and a Pisco sour cocktail! The food was nicely presented, portions were generous, and everything was flavoursome! The grilled chicken dish was a little dry for me, but had a great experience overall!
Have lunch here for the first time and also a first with Peruvian cuisine.
Hidden in ACDC lane this restaurant has a great ambience when you are inside.
Ordered more than 10 sharing plates ranging from cerviche fish, sausages, meat, dessert, bread and drinks.
Awesome food and service.
Pastuso is an amazingly hidden gem located on the fringe of AC/DC Lane. It truly is a magnificent place that offers a selection of modern inspired dishes from Peru.
As soon as you walk in you immediately notice the lovely decor and the ambience of the coast of Peru and the Andes.
The service is also exceptional, noting that my gf has allergies, the waiter explained the menu thoroughly and demonstrated a high standard of professionalism and knowledge of the foods itself. Impeccable to say the least and I was truly delighted.
Finally, ordering a selection of sharing plates we were greeted with fine wafting smells of char grilled and smoked meats, tender chicken, unusual but tasty casava chips, quinoa bread and dessert that melted me away into divine joy.
The t-bone cut of steak was perfectly cooked with a medium rare and succulent taste. The chicken was mouth watering and scrumptious with unique delicate flavours while the quinoa bread and casava chips provided a cracking start to the appetisers.
The dessert in the end was the highlight. They were both unique, soft, rich but not absurd, flavourful but not overly sweet. Everything was perfect from the balance of sensations on my tongue to the visual presentation.
One of the finest places I have dined and will certainly be back for me. Highly recommended!
This was our first time trying Peruvian cuisine and it did not disappoint. Every dish we ordered was full of flavour, leaving us wanting more. Our favourite was the salmon ceviche and the corn bread! I did however, enjoyed the duck risotto more than the veal ribs and the desserts did take a long time to come out, but it was worth the wait! I would definitely recommend pastuso to my friends and family
Absolutely loved this place and would rate it as one of my favourite places in Melbourne.
Ordered the set menu and every dish was amazing! Worth every penny! Considering it was a busy night we were not rushed and everything came out at great time!
Service was fantastic and will definitely return!
This place exceeded our expectations in every way, every dish was jam packed full of flavour, we ordered the Pisco Sour cocktail to start which looked very modern and unique and the taste just smacked you right in the face! So yum!
We then tried the red snapper ceviche, my husband doesnt like fish or anything raw and he absolutely loved this dish! It was our first time trying ceviche and we were not dissapointed.
Another first for us was the alpaca croquettes, the texture was kind of like pulled pork but the flavour was not farmilliar at all, as unfarmilliar as it was, we enjoyed every bite!
The yucas chips were so good we could have eaten 3 bowls of them!
The beef and fish skewers top notch however the beef was waaay to raw for our liking, we couldnt even chew the damn thing and just ended up swollowing it.
The Peruvian panacotta was very pretty but I wasnt really a fan of the flavours & the Tres Leches - Latin American sponge cake was to die for! I could have easily had more.
The service at this place is honestly top notch, as we left, every single staff member thanked us for coming, the over all vibe at this restaurant is just so hip, modern, latin...just a really cool place 😊

Pastuso Restaurant is a modern Peruvian Grill, Cevicheria & Pisco Bar tucked down the end of AC/DC Lane in Melbourne’s CBD. Walk into Pastuso Restaurant and be prepared to be taken on an exciting journey of discovery through the coast (demonstrated at their Cevicheria), the Andes (expressed through traditional methods used via their charcoal grill, smoker & spit) and last but not least the Jungle of Peru’s stunning food and culture (represented through their Pisco bar and desserts that burst full of exotic flavours).
Peruvian food, Fantastic food!
Wagu beef spring roll, snapper ceviche and the fried chicken street food were absolutely amazing! The chicken was some of the best I have tasted.
The 1/2 chicken on the grill was also a hit, Smokey and crunchy but still moist, with a delicious sauce.
The beef/fish skewers were nice as well but on a level below the others as they were nice but not amazing flavors like the others, the only miss for the night was the quinoa hummus it just lacked flavour and was very bland.... but I didn’t go there for that so who cares.
A great hidden venue in a cheeky lane way. Staff had the perfect balance of always being there yet not. Food was on point, loved the beef ribs and chicken. A worthwhile visit in a market that can be same same where this is not.
Location wise is a perfect location in the middle of the cbd with near by bars and hidden gems. Environment is a more up lifted environment with music and more going on the floor. Food is amazing 10/10 a lot of variety in the menu and really keeps it original from what we’ve ordered. Drinks they have a great variation of different drinks however there some that stand out more than others, definitely order the pisco sour is a most! The wine selection is pretty good as well. Service wise we’ve had some issues since a woman manager that can be rude but just ignore her, not a lot of options to sit freely in the restaurant you’ll probably get an allocated by the manager but it nothing. Price is reasonable considering similar restaurants.
We ordered the beef and fish skewers, braised lamb shoulder, wagu beef & potato sides. Food was delicious, the ambiance was also nice however by only con would be the tables too close to other customers so was hard to hear one another
As tasty as it is pricey
I really enjoyed my meal at Pastuso. We had the tofu which was delectable, the sweet corn which was amazing, chicken (incredibly tender) and potato’s.
We also had the lemon tart and the milk cake.
Everything was really good however it is priced accordingly.
It was also a little cramped - the tables closer together than I would like and one chair protruding into the walkway just inside the front door. The maître de was great, the other staff just ok.
Friend booked Christmas dinner here and it didn't disappoint! Ordered the sth sour cocktail to start and it was sooo good! love a good start of the meal.
Friend was in charge of all the ordering so I wasn't sure what they all were. But have a look at the photos. All dishes were with such a strong flavour (in a good way), punching! Full of different flavours in your mouth. the alpaca croquette was surprisingly good, felt bad eating their meat tho.. The fish on the skewer was absolutely amazing! It was cooked to perfection! We ordered the whole fish barramundi as well and it was so beautiful I ran out of words to describe how good they all were! And the chips, not your normal chips!!
The only down side was it was really busy and they kinda have to rush you out. We only had 15 mins from when we ordered the dessert to we have to leave the table. But the dessert was so good as well! The panda cotta and the cake OMG do yourself a favour and order those!
Booking is allowed so make sure you book before you head there!
San Telmo junior. Great steak. Really great. Staff push you to over order. Food is very good and we enjoyed what we ate. A bit of a sausage factory in getting you in and out and service, although good, lacked sincerity. Wine list full of overpriced south American wines. Irrespective a fun night out here but it's a bit too cafe for the price.
We spent a lovely night here to celebrate our anniversary! Every thing we had was perfect! Thanks to the friendly staff who gave me great suggestions on ordering drinks! Love this place! Xoxo
Certainly a lovely experience. An extensive menu with a variety of new dishes and flavours to try out. All the protein we had was cooked well - moist and tender to eat. The ambience of the space was good and so was their hospitality.
The signage somehow doesn't reflect the inside. Such a lovely modern restaurant with friendly, attentive staff. Highly recommend the Peruano. Blew our minds - so much flavour! Truca de Corbina was light and refreshing - as expected. Alpaca Croquettes were more meat than potato like you might be used to. Can highly recommend the Yucas and the Cordero. The only let down was the Pescado Ala Parilla - it was quite bitter. But overall a delicious experience.
Great atmosphere and decoration. Cosy for a date and big enough for a group dinner. Very friendly staff that helped us with ordering. The pisco sour cocktail was very refreshing too. The food was well presented and flavourful.
Food takes back to Peru. Beautifully presented dishes in a warm restaurant with most friendly staff. Their dessert are stunning and equally tastes good. Booking in advance is recommended as this place is usually busy all week.
Pastuso is a Perivian restaurant in the city where they do ceviche, BBQ’d meats, traditional Peruvian desserts and the best pisco sours in town. They have a colourful neon wall as you walk in and the atmosphere has a vibrant and classy vibe. This month Pastuso are reaching their milestone of serving up 100,000 pisco sours and to celebrate they’re giving away free pisco sours if you visit for lunch in October, you also go into the draw to win a premium pisco hamper which is pretty awesome.
A modern Peruvian grill, cevicheria and pisco bar, Pastuso celebrates the food, culture and diversity of Peru from the moment diners enter the venue and indulge in a pisco sour.
The restaurant has recently launched their new spring/summer menu which is simply stunning.
In line with the restaurant’s social setting, the dishes are all perfect for sharing. To start we loved the Quinoa hummus. A beautiful amalgamation of toasted golden quinoa, hulled tahini, dill oil finished with sundried Peruvian chilli dust, the hummus went really well with crisp flatbread.
Visited this place for a lunch with a group of friends and it’s totally awesome. What an amazing Peruvian experience. The food were totally unique and we all enjoyed all of the dishes, most notably was the Alpaca Croquette. The portion of the food was spot on. We thought that we would still be hungry because of the small portion of the usual fine dining but we were wrong. They looked small but very fulfilling. The service was great and nice. The staff was very cheerful and made us all laugh with her jokes. The ambiance of the place was great and very family friendly. The price was a bit high, however it’s totally worth it. Will come back again and bring more friends to experience some Peruvian food.
Great food, very tasty. Sharing dishes gave us a wider selection from the menu. All were interesting to eat. The main course lamb was outstanding. The service excellent. We had a great evening out.
Amazing dinner experience with family. Server was suuuupeer friendly and helpful, providing great advice on how much to order and taking special care with one dietary restriction.
Tried the snapper ceviche although I don’t eat much seafood. It was really fresh and zingy, the fish was tender but not mushy or falling apart. Turns it I might like it!?
Alpaca croquettes were a surprising delight. Kind of a mix between pulled pork and lamb. Beef cigars and cornbread were refined but really tasty.
Chicken and lamb mains were really rich and toasty. The chicken had a nice smoke flavor and was really juicy. Lamb was an umami bomb and I could have eaten the entire plate. The broccoli inside was really nice, and cassava chips were crispy beyond belief. Might swap these for a green salad next time, the meats are so rich I felt like I needed something lighter to cut through.
Top it off with a pisco sour and call it a great night!
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I'm a huge fan of ceviche and I'd easily call theirs the best in the city. Peruvian food is so full of flavour and Pastuso certainly isn't letting anything down when it comes to that. Their 'chef's menu' selection for those who can't be bothered choosing is the best option you can take in this place. All of the best bits and some extras too. Treat yourself to basically ANY of their meats and thank me later. Highly recommend this for a good long lunch on a Friday!
Will come back for:
+ Pisco Sour
+ Octopus Ceviche
+ Beef and fish skewer
+ Striploin
+ Cassava chips
+ Latin American sponge cake
We came here for a special occasion, and this place delivered in spades. The service, ambience and food were all fantastic. All the food we had, had great smokiness to them and were all packed with flavor and well spiced. My particular favourites are listed above and all were impeccably presented and real yummy. Do yourself a favour and grab a pisco sour to wake up your taste buds, make sure you order the cassava chips as these were especially moorish and the Latin American cake to round off the meal was just perfect. We were lucky to jag a spot without a booking on an early Friday night, but the place was pretty packed and for good reasons. Prices are fine dining, but for what you get it’s worth it in my opinion. Will definitely be back to try out the other items on the menu.
We ordered the pork shoulder and sirloin (among other things) and they were the best meats I had ever tasted. Other dishes were equally good but the meats really stood out. I find lots of steak chewy and sometimes have to spit it out but I didn't have any problem with the sirloin at Pastuso. Definitely worth going back for
Came here last night and the entrees were a kick starter, really enjoyed the ceviches, particularly the red snapper with a combination of sweet potato to balance out the acidity.
We got the last lamb for the night (yay! 😁) that was pretty good too with our sides - the greens were bomb diggity.
Oh! Can’t forget how gooooood the traditional cake was for dessert!!! Definitely a must try
Customer service was on point! Very friendly and they make you feel really comfortable.
I would recommend giving Pastuso a visit 👍🏼
Been here twice already. Food is amazing. Atmosphere is amazing. First time I went with a group of girlfriends and we ordered dishes to share, second time I went with my partner & got the chefs menu. Could not fault anything I ate. Would definitely come back again and again and again!!!!!!
I wasn’t sure what to expect but wonderfully surprised. Service was very very good. We did the degustation and they were very amenable to our table seafood and onion dislike- nothing was too much trouble for them at all. The food was one of the most delicious I have had in a long time and a very relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Flavour, flavour , flavour Oh god if you come here You have to try El pollo is amazing jucy, tender with an amazing flavor, La yuca frita with cheese is sooo gooddd, Pastel de choclo have a sutil and good flavor, and the picarinas for finish was the perfect end! I really love this place and I want to come back very soon
A very busy and popular restaurant, we luckily managed to get seated straight away at a lovely booth on the elevated level. A spacious, dimly lit, colourful, and well-decorated interior greeted us as we stepped inside. Because there were so many intriguing and tasty-sounding dishes, we decided to go for the feed me menu and were impressed with every dish that was brought out to us. Each was well-presented, delicious and a refreshingly different flavour. A great introducion to Peruvian/Latin American cuisine! Service was fast and attentive, and we had fun watching the bartenders making drinks. We had a great night and enjoyed the bubbly, warm atmosphere the restaurant had throughout the entire evening.
Food was fantastic and quick, waitress was attentive and cocktails delicious! Can’t fault this place. A nice selection of menu items to choose from. Our highlight was the sweet corn cakes, unique combination of flavours. Everything else was really flavourful and refreshing. Try the pisco sour if you love cocktails! Will be back to try the other food, wish we came in a bigger group so that we can try everything!
Great place. Lots of different types of ceviche that all taste great, alpaca ribs are good but nothing amazing despite the reviews. Best dish is hands down the sweet corn cake. Staff are very friendly and place is nice. But yes, that sweet corn cake, get it.
Absolutely amazing evening.
The hostess was an incredibly lovely person and so was our waitress (appreciate the recommendations !)
The restaurant is pretty busy in the late evening, I definitely recommend making a booking. My partner and I definitely got lucky with our walk-in and it was SO WORTH IT.
Pastuso is a little bit more expensive than your average restaurant but it's 100% worth it. The rib eye just melts in your mouth (and the side sauce is incredible). The tres leches was an absolute dream come true.
Honestly can't wait to go back to try more of their dishes!
I had a wonderful experience at pastuso today. The restaurant exceeded my expectations in ambience, food, the vibe and professionalism. I went through my company, it was corporate event, however the food and customer service was exceptional.
I would recommend anyone who's looking for relaxing experience for food and drinks to visit this place. The place is colourful with lovely staff.
My group went for the Ultimate Peruvian Experience and it was excellent. Every dish was so full of flavour and made with terrific ingredients.
Hands down the best Ceviches I've had anywhere, great fried chicken, perfectly cooked steak and without a doubt the best Tres Leches ever!
The crew were pleasant and attentive as well.
Highly recommended for a great meal in a relaxed setting. I will be back again!
Quite possibly the best restaurant I've ever been to. The atmosphere was elegant without being pretentious, chic and cultural without being cliche; all the staff we interacted with were absolutely delightful (and the bartender was like a robot working in fast forward it was amazing to watch, and evidence that they're only hiring the best); and the food was of course amazing. Delicious. And interesting and unusual without being weird or putting novelty ahead of quality. Absolutely recommend.
What blew me away was the fact they have a vegan menu/options for my husband. A rarity for a good restaurant. Not a vegan myself I found the food interesting and tasty. But I wasn't WOWED or blown away for the price. The ambiance was great. Cocktails excellent. The waitress was a little short with us. But overall an enjoyable night out.
Welcome back Melbourne! We chose this restaurant to make our comeback to dining out after lockdown. It proved to be a good choice. The place was absolutely buzzing with patrons all enjoying fabulous food and drinks. We had a tasting banquet which showcased the range of food available - including from the grill. Highly recommend.
