An extremely high class restaurant for which we enjoyed an exceptional meal and great conversation with our son John. My wife and I stay at Sofitel regularly. One of the highlights for us is the buffet breakfast35. The omelette make to order is always spot on. The scrambled eggs, bacon, tomatoes mushrooms are tot liking. The cold & healthy selections of fresh fruits, yogurts, Bircher, shots, juices, cereal, nuts etc. Cater for most tastes. There's also sausage & other choices as well. Easily 50th visit & never been disappointed.

My favourite dishes were actually from the entree! There's something so simple, yet elegant about these dishes that set the perfect tone for the main meals after. In particular, the beetroot king ora salmon gravlax had a fresh taste while the dill added a warm, herby undertone. It was the perfect match - one that I really enjoyed!
The service was incredibly attentive, and very easy going. The servers were quick to smile, and dishes were picked up, new food served in a timely manner. If I could make a suggestion- it would be great if the servers could introduce the dishes, or explain the ingredients to bring the diners on the journey.
No35 were kind enough to bring a special dish, since we were there celebrating my birthday! Coupled with a fantastic atmosphere and incredible views of Melbourne cbd, I felt incredibly spoilt while I was dining with no35. Definitely a restaurant worth going to.

Came here for a birthday celebration and we were seated on the corner close to the window and the view was amazing.
From the service to the food everything was on point and we really enjoyed our meal there
Sunday brunch at No 35 restaurant at the Sofitel.
All you can eat food (seafood, roast meat, salads, desserts and more), bottomless drinks (wine, beer and soft drinks) and barista made coffees (or tea if you prefer). Highly recommend.
For dinner, the place to go for a fine dining experience.
Dishes looked good and tasted great.
Decent food portions so you won't go away hungry. Reasonable priced, entrees around $28 and mains around $40.

Three things I loved about No35:
- the view
- the attention to detail

Don’t get me wrong, the food was delightful too. We had scallops and king fish for entree, beef cheek and John Dory for mains as well as potato chips and fried cauliflower as sides. Highly recommend the scallops and beef cheek, although the others were quite tasty, for us, those two were the winners.
However, what really made our night was the brilliant service No35 has to offer. Every waiter and waitress that approached us were genuine and caring. We had a window seat which we were already quite satisfied with, but as the night grew old and the restaurant became less crowded, one of the waiters (had the name Federico on the tag) asked us if we wished to move to another table that had the best view in the entire restaurant. After helping us move to our new table - all we could think was w o w. You’d think moving to another table isn’t much - but it really made our night even more special. After that, one of the kindest and friendliest waiters seemed to notice it was our first time out this fancy and he not only spent the time talking to us, but also offered to give us a little wine tasting experience, given we were so new to the whole thing. So unfortunate we couldn’t get his name - he was hilarious and put a genuine smile to my face. Walking into No35, we definitely didn’t expect this service, but it just goes to show how much a little kindness can do to someone’s day/night.
Overall a very memorable experience and one that will stick with us for a long time. Highly recommend if you feel like being treated like royalty for a night!
My partner had planned a surprise anniversary dinner date at No.35. It was our first time here and can I just say how amazing the staff and food was! Towards the end of the night a waitress named Ciaria (apologies if I got her name wrong) approached us and had asked if we’re celebrating something. When she found out we were about to leave she asked us to wait and came out with a small dessert plate with “Happy Anniversary” and some chocolates for us! She really made our night extra special! Thankyou for the amazing experience, we will definitely be back and to be sure to book a window seat!

The service was extraordinary, the waiting staffs were caring and attentive, which made our birthday celebration very special. I highly recommend making this your destination for celebratory events.
The food were presented nicely. We loved the scallops as our entree, especially the raisin which gave it a slight sweet taste. We found our main a little salty, however the beef was tender and juicy.
Our favourite menu item is actually the dessert, we loved the deconstructed cheesecake, it melted in our mouth and every bite was so flavoursome.
I had been here few times, but last night me and my wife had a really good time here.
The food is really good, we order 3entree and 2 mains. Finished all, love it.

I’ve been lucky enough to visit No35 a few times now and my most recent visit was Valentine’s Day (or the day after Valentine’s Day to be exact) which Le boyfriend had organised. We were able to catch the sunset at our window table which was beautiful. The menu had changed since my last visit and I was excited to try the new dishes. We ordered oysters, salmon and duck for entrees, the ribs and pork for mains and ofcourse we couldn’t skip past the creme brûlée. The oysters were super fresh. The duck was amazing! Savoury and sweet. The pork was so juicy and well cooked and that crispy skin was delicious. Overall a beautiful dinner with a gorgeous view and great service.
Celebrated my birthday and anniversary at No35. All I can say is everything that was provided was of breath taking quality. The food was scrumptious, and mouth watering. Very PLEASED with the service, they were very attentive and welcoming even although it was quite a busy night. Highly recommend the “Sticky Beef Croquette” and “Sear Scallops..” for new comers.

I have been here twice, first time was my birthday and second time was my friend's birthday. This restaurant is located on level 35 at Sofitel Hotel. We really like the view from our tables. The staff was really attentive and friendly. We had 2 entrees : king fish and salmon. 2 mains : John dory and beef cheek and the dessert. Every dish was amazing ! Really recommend this place prefect for special date night !
There weren’t many high rise fine dining in Melbourne but No35 is one of them. Sensational food and customer service. You definitely received what you have paid for. Recommended for a special night out.

**4.8 stars** An ideal place to celebrate your birthday or anniversary, fine dining style. There are quite a lot of options in the food/ drinks menu and the quality is high. (I recommend the smoked duck breast for an entree. Just. Yum!) We also loved the char grilled steak but the pomme gaufrettes were overly salty and needed more peppercorn sauce to soak them in.
Not to state the obvious but the view of Melbourne from your seats is simply amazing.
Service-wise, the staff are wonderful and go out of their way to help make your experience a memorable one. The restaurant can also help you with a complimentary cake to celebrate your birthday or anniversary.

Went for our wedding anniversary dinner. Was very busy that night but staff was friendly. Loved Tasmanian caviar. Poke belly was really nice.
My friend took me here for my bday, it was my 1st visit to No35. The buffet is pretty decent compared to other large hotel buffet located in CBD area. The seafood are very fresh and the dessert section filled with cute, eye catching desserts. Free champagne are served while you wait and the view over the city are a big bonus.
Amazing food with amazing food. The two fish dishes were superb and we almost thought ordering two fish dishes would limit us to getting a taste or everything on the menu such as ordering one meat and one fish but both fishes dishes were so goooooddd! Didn’t feel like I missed anything. Only down side was the dessert I didn’t like the melted ice cream concept and would have preferred it if it was served immediately.
We came to no35 for my partners birthday and we had the best time. The atmosphere is lovely with spectacular views we were lucky to have a window view. The entres were both amazing we enjoyed the scollops and the tuna. The mains were both tasty as well however not as great as the entres. The service here was spectacular and I would return to try other menu items.
We celebrated our anniversary at No.35, ordered Citrus King Ora Salmon & Yuki ko sho marinated yellowfin tuna (entree), Maple Glazed Beef Brisket & Berkshire Pork Belly (main) + Hand Cut Kipfler potatoes sage and garlic butter (side). The food was delicious and the scenery was the main garnish, ambiance was superb and the staff as expected was professional, highly recommended for that special day.
While we were dining our order for the side was incorrectly given to us, we actually ordered the spiced carrots but instead was given the hand cut potatoes, it was no biggy for us but it was free of charge and we were also given our original side~
Furthermore it was so wonderful that the staff specially made us the anniversary dessert when requested :)

No 35 is exceptional. Located in the Sofitel on level 35, guest can take in the breathe-taking view while dining in the delicious French inspired menu. Staff are wonderful; they are happy to talk you through the menu and you never have to look for someone to assist you - they regularly check on you to ensure your dining experience is perfect. The food is approx $46 per main, entrees are approx $25. There’s a large competitively priced drinks menu. If you’re looking for a restaurant for a birthday/anniversary/ special night, No35’s the charm
We went there right celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Honestly, we couldn’t have chosen a better venue. The view and ambience were stunning. The service, you couldn’t ask for any better. And the food was truly outstanding. Over all a 7 star experience.
Breakfast at Sofitel Melbourne. Omelette with smoked salmon, mushroom and cheese. Served with crunchy hashbrowns, tomato and wilted spinach. Very filling breakky and great views from level 35.
Celebrated our anniversary and I must say we were pretty impressed. Better than expected. Chill and relax environment with amazing view. Friendly services, smiling staffs. For entree we ordered oysters, terrine & tuna tartare, these helped open up our appetite. For mains, we had beef bourguignon and duck breast. Duck was cooked perfectly and was enjoyable. Nonetheless the star dish goes to the beef - tender, soft, flavorsome. The jus brought out the dish. We had choux and baba au rum for desserts, which were pretty delicious. Unless if you are a fine dining fanatic who's particular in every small detail, all in all we enjoyed our experience with no35.

We selected this fine dining restaurant on our first visit to Melbourne . At first it was hard to locate but we managed to find it. It’s next to Sofitel building and on the 35th floor. Staff were all friendly and Good service. The waitress introduced us wine for the night to pair with our dishes . Great night with delicious food . Superb !

Ordered beef steak and salted caramel semifreddo. The beef bourgouignon was so delicious! The meat was so tender and juicy. The cut thick bacon was so good too!perfectly seasoned and cooked!perfect main dish to celebrate happy day. The dessert was okay and too overly sweet and thick. However it was okay though. My first visit was for the buffet and it thoroughly enjoyed by the whole table.
The second was with a group of friends for dinner, we had to send one meal back due to the steak being over cooked, but my meal was fantastic.
The staff are great, the view from the restaurant and the toilets is breathtaking and the food is incredible...
Overall a great night for our 4th anniversary. On saturday night there was a bit of a wait to get seated which surprised me there was not a front of house staff greeting customers at all times. The views outside of melbourne and inside the Sofitel were pretty and good for photos. Once seated, for entrees we had moreton bay bug with wheat noodles. Personally think the combination of components did not work well and was odd. Mains were the duck and pork jowl... enjoyed both immensely and the flavours were uniquely satisfying. Dessert, we has the soft chocolate and semi freddo, both were nice. 'Warm' was the word we used to describe the dishes...very suitable for winter time.
A really nice atmosphere with a beautiful view (especially at night). The service was great and staff were polite, the mains were also amazing! I had the salmon and it wasa cooked perfectly with crispy skin.
Went here to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. The view is stunning and the service was really outstanding! We ordered two drinks, two entrees , two mains and a dessert for $160 and it was definitely worth the price. The gnocchi was delicious and the mousse was to die for ! The portion sizes are quite small but it’s worth the price.
Came here for dinner couple years ago, and second time for buffet. Quite busy and pack during mothers day, instead of have a table inside no35, we sat at their lounge. There are limited options compare to no35, instead we can choose anything from the menu which still 👌🏻 quite pricey for breakfast buffet but defy worth it.
Being 35 levels up above Melbourne city there is a lot to be impressed with!! Apart from the spectacular view the food was just amazing😍😍every dish we ordered was extremely tasty and not to mention very generous serving sizes as well! The recommended wine complimented the meal well and the desserts just finished off the amazing fine dining experience. I will certainly be back!! With a setting 35 floors up, overlooking Melbourne at night, it's hard not to give this restaurant a 5 star rating.
The food lived up to our expectations - amazing main meals and the wine that was recommended by the waitress paired nicely with the rich flavours. Desserts were also good - if I was just rating them alone, I probably wouldn't give them a 5, maybe more like a 3.5...there was nothing wrong with them, just nothing wow. Although the Happy Birthday plate was a nice gesture - thank you to the staff for making it extra special :)
Staff were polite and accommodating to our requests - unfortunately they did miss one main off our order but it was brought out in reasonably good time once we alerted them to the error.
All in all, a great night spent here with a stunning view, good food and wine and awesome company.
It's pricey but good value as far as fine dining goes...I can think of a lot more places that are more expensive without the setting that No35 offers. If you haven't tried it yet, find a reason (or go just because) and book yourself a table.

Le boyfriend took me here for my birthday. The tuna tartare and coffee beef cheek were good but did not stand out. The lamb was good but the clear winner was the bbq beef short rib! Friendly staff and great service. The view of South Melbourne was a plus!

This place was divine.
I started with six fresh oysters. They were beautifully prepared, and were served with a delicious champagne vinegar sorbet. Perfect balance of sweet and acidic.
Then I had the coffee rubbed braised beef cheek, served with parsnip cream and beef crackling. The crust on the beef cheek was so precisely spot on, it was heaven. The meat flaked so nicely, and with the parsnip cream and the jus, it melted in your mouth.
My partner also had the gnocchi, and they were perfectly fluffy with a superb melting of flavours.
We finished with the choux pastry with matcha ice cream, and it was so fluffy and light, but still worth every bite.
My biggest concern with fine dining is always, “Will I be full afterwards?” Yes I was, perfectly.
The service was also incredibly friendly and professional. I will say, they could use another waiter on the floor. Our poor guy seemed to be hoofing it all over the place—but with a smile on his face.
Can’t recommend this place enough.
I love coming here for semi special occasions ( aka treating myself or friends and family ) , the view here is just absolutely stunning with food to match. The menu changes seasonally so you can always try new things if you space out your visits. Most items on the menu has been pretty delicious with only a few out of the many times I have been here being a miss. Great value for money especially for the location and the quality of food.

For the entree we ordered Smoked Salmon Roulade & Home Smoked Duck. For the main we ordered Slow Cooked Lamb. And for the dessert we ordered Vanilla Panna Cotta and Double Chocolate Tart.
Since it’s CNY night, we also got a complimentary pomegranate cocktail with a fortune cookie on it.
Perfect dish, perfect ambiance, perfect view, perfect customer service. Overall it was an amazing experience. Plus, it is not that expensive for that kind of fine dining though☺️👌

I make it short and easy for you so you have enough time to jump on that booking button and get your table - dining with a view + amazing service + fantastic food = worth it!!
The food: we ordered the salmon roulade as well as the duck for entree and man that sweetbread on the duck was good! I usually don’t like anything innerts but this might have changed me as a person! The roulade was just perfect and the ideal refreshment for a hot day. For mains we had the chicken and the lamb and oh my god the lamb!!!! Honestly if by now you are still reading this and not booking stop reading and come back later. The chicken was ok but could have been a bit more moist.
The service: simply outstanding! Friendly, courteous and highly professional as you’d expect from anything related to the Sofitel.
Pricing: compared to other fine dining spots such as Nobu, Rockpool, Kisume or Meat Wine & Co, No35 compares well at about $90 per person with a glass of wine each.
Definitely recommended!!! We will be back soon.
A 5 star experience
We came here to celebrate my partner’s quarter century birthday! Greeted with a warm French welcome and a happy birthday at the door.
Seated with a view and introduction who will Be our waiter for the night. Although the weather was not on our side that night, the experience Sofitel No.35 provided outweighed the Melbourne weather.
We ordered an entree and a Main each, with a complimentary glass of wine 🍷 of course we chose the Shiraz. I must say, it was one of the best wines I have ever had.
The entrees came through fairly quickly, then the mains. Everything was cooked very well, and presentation was pleasant and customer service was excellent. Apologies for the flash, the steak was actually amazing.
Would definitely come again :)
It was hard for us to get a seat during Christmas period. But once we came, we enjoyed the experience with No. 35. The stunning view is a bonus to the food.
Truly amazing experience at No. 35. At level 35, the view is amazing, and the service of the wait staff is excellent. We came here for a special occasion and the staff made sure the night was special. The food was quite amazing, tasty and colourful, especially the broccoli side dish. The main dishes are meant to have side dishes with them or you would need to order starters. Leave room for desserts too.

The ambiance of the fine dinning restaurant is amazing!
The restaurant is situated on level 2 of the Sofitel hotel on Collins streets. The restaurant is surrounded by glass walls, overlooking a beautiful view of the city of Melbourne! I booked seats in advance and requested for a window seats for 8pm so I could catch the sunset!

🍩Lizzie enjoyed: The entrees were delicious, albeit a little smaller for portion sizing. The mains were delicious - I had the duck and also tried the gnocchi too and they are both recommended. The dishes were cooked to perfection I almost could not fault it.
🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: Sometimes it was hard getting the attention of the staff which was annoying - especially knowing that they can clearly see you waving but choose to ignore. The tuna entree portion size was ridiculous...it had about 4 pieces of tuna all up.
🏅Lizzie rates overall: A great place for a fancy occassion and definitely worth the money as you have good food and beautiful views in front of you.

The main highlight of No.35 is the view from the 35th floor. Everything else comes second!
Came here on a public holiday for lazy breakfast and left with a very filled and happy tummy. Food is decent quality, stock standard breakfast selection and excellent service. The nice thing that no.35 do here is their wide selection of fresh juices to kick start your buffet and cleanse yourself after stuffing all that food into your body.

Upon arrival, we were presented with bread and olive oil which were okay. Nothing beats the warm bread and home made butter churned at Vue De Monde but thats a story for another day! For entree, ordered ricotta dumpling to share followed by medium rare rib eye steak with mushrooms and pan fried john dory fillet. Steak was cooked to perfection and very much raved about, whereas the fish was alright at best. The skin wasn’t exactly crispy skinned when presented to the table. Had french fries as a side dish, nothing really to shout about. Macca’s fries tasted a tad better than these $10 fries. Ended the night with a classic creme brulee and chocolate/sour cherry bombe. Both were pretty decadent. Drinks ordered were Jameson with coke and a cocktail
Gorgeous view and service! One of the most impressive dining experience in Melbourne and will definitely recommend to friends. Wanna try its signature dessert next time
Great service and good food. Loved the beef tartare and highly recommend it. Had the pork belly for the main which was also very nice. For dessert, the creme brûlée was decent but would not get it again. Overall, great experience.
Went to celebrate my partner's 21st birthday here, food didnt meet our expectation. I had asked to get my steak medium rare, but it came out a little bit under well done. Still tasty, but it could've been better.
