felt super hungry whilst in the CBD and i stumbled upon the hidden Grill’d in Degraves St! i got a gluten free “simply grill’d” burger, it was very simple but so delicious! the service was very quick and the gluten free bun was delicious! :)

It’s important to call out what a venue is doing well rather than just talk about what they can improve. I’m really impressed with the friendliness of the staff at this outlet. I was approached for an order and offered a menu whenever I enter this establishment. Premises is clean and tidy. Music is appropriate for the venue but not too loud.
Came to Grill'd yesterday especially to try their new veggie burgers. I tried the Simply Grill'd with the Beyond meat pattie. I also opted for the vegan cheese and vegan mayo.
First time trying the beyond meat burger and it was seriously good!! I added a bit of extra tomato sauce because the more saucy the better.
Would highly recommend!
Lovely friendly service - looking forward to trying another one of their new veggie burgers.

My Grill’d go-to is definitely Summer Sunset but this time I tried the Sir Truffle. Really enjoyed the truffle mayo in the burger! Service is always quick and friendly here.
My friend ordered a vegan cheeseburger with a low carb bun (see in the background) which I’d love to try on the next visit.
One of the favorite burger joint! They serve healthier buns for the health-conscious friends of mine. Mighty Melbourne is always a favorite. It’s tasty, juicy, fresh with beet and everything blend in just perfectly.

One of my favs for a Friday lunch, the team at grilled do a consistently great burger and are always friendly. Mighty Melbourne is still for me the winner on the menu with a side of chips of course.
Pretty damn delicious! I love the variety at grilld, there are so many different burgers to choose! I went for the 'Simon says', which was pretty yum! I'm not the biggest fan of the burger bun though, they are a bit dry and can taste stale! the chips are delicious though
Friendly and fast service. Burgers are tasty and made with fresh ingredients. Chips were hot and crunchy. Plenty of sheltered seating where you can still see the bustle of Degraves Street while enjoying a burger.
Was in need of a quick dinner post work due to a 7pm show of The Bodyguard (excellent production by the way, a must see) and Grilld came to mind as an easy casual option. It's been awhile since I had a salad here and it was interesting to see these were endorsed by Lola Berry, everyone's favourite fitspo. I like the charitable token aspect of eating at Grilld as I feel like I'm spending my money somewhere that has a social conscience.
The salad was enjoyable enough but I was pretty jealous of my mums Zen Hen burger which is one of my faves. I snuck a few of her chips though. Mmmm
First time trying the 'low carb bun' definitely can recommend it! I'm a sucker for the chicken bird and Brie when I come to grill'd. So naughty but delicious!
I like the consistency across the branches at Grill'd. Their burgers are always very delicious and fresh! I decided to have the beef sunset pineapple burger which I really liked. The beef was quite succulent, and the pineapple was amazing (I just love pineapple). The layer of guacamole on the bun is a great idea too.
We also tried the zucchini and avocado chips. Unfortunately for me the avocado chips were a bit of a let down. Due to the avocado's soft nature the chips had to be heavily coated with batter, which was nice but I wish there was more avocado. Also, the serving for the avocado chips was so much smaller than the zucchini chips, although they were the same price or even more pricey!
Next time I'll stick to their burgers (and fries) and avoid the avocado chips. Will keep coming back!
How do you pick one burger each when there are so many delicious combos available? I finished my Summer Sunset with a big smile on my face and a very happy tummy. I also had a bite of the Back Bar as well, which was great too! Though the price leans a bit towards the mid-pricy side, we still really enjoyed our food. I love how Grill'd gives back to the community as well, giving customers the opportunity to vote for the cause they think Grill'd should donate to.
Cassidy – I went to Grill’d last week as part of the Polished Man promo with some work mates (free burger with a voucher). They were slammed – the line was out the door – but to their credit, they were absolutely ready for it and pumped through the orders very quickly. I got the Summer Sunset burger with some chips. The burger was really nice and juicy, a touch messy when trying not to get it on my work clothes. The chips were nice but I didn’t eat too many as the burger was so filling. The only downside I would say was the seats outside are really quite uncomfortable. All in all, I would go back.

Not a bad Grill'd at all, in fact the food here was some of the best I've had from the chain. Service was friendly and prompt, burger was delicious and chips were crispy.
Unfortunately the location is pretty terrible. Degraves St is known for pokey, small cafes. Grill'd is no exception. There are a handful of tables inside the restaurant, but the rest are in the 'alley' section next door. This is a very dark place to eat, I appreciate the fairy lights attempting to lighten it up. Unfortunately for Grill'd, there is construction above this section at the moment. Scaffolding blocks off natural light and there is loud noise as well as material falling onto the grating above the outside section, loudly banging. Some fragments of material fell through the shades and onto the table near us.
Overall good, consistent Grill'd food, but if you can, visit another location.
Each time we come to Melbourne we do come here for a burger... It's probably the only time I get one! Good service great atmosphere down the lane. Fresh ingredients not soggy or greasy and fills the spot.

To say burgers have been experiencing a renaissance in Melbourne and around Australia would be a gross understatement. The notion of a 'healthy' or 'gourmet' burger was ill found in the vernacular of the everyday Australian until self-proclaimed 'gourmet burger' franchise Grill'd rolled into hipster laneways and streets across the country.
To tell the truth, the proposition was simple. Hand-crafted burgers made with high quality ingredients and interesting flavour combinations that would stand head and shoulders above the heavily processed offerings from traditional fast-food outlets such as McDonalds, Hungry Jacks and KFC.
It turns out that paying $10+ for a single burger was completely...
If you are thinking of a fancy burger - this is the place for you.
I love their double bacon chicken cheese burger - its huge!!! With the mayo and cheese spilling out, its a complete mess - a mess that i love. lol...
They also do brown bread burgers.

There are many laneways in Melbourne & I discovered this branch of Grill'd on my way through one. It's in a great spot with lots of outdoor seating & some inside as well.
Service was great - very welcoming & engaging. They ask your name to identify your order, but more so to be friendly as there is a table number anyway.
Menu has a great variety & various options you can mix & match to suit (i.e. Buns & fillings). They also have a beer & wine selection.
My corona was served with lime which is good to see.
A nice surprise was their charity focus where you are given a bottle top upon ordering which you put into a jar of your choice with a charities name on it (i.e. Clothes for the homeless). The jar with the most has $300 donated to that charity. Awesome.
They provide you a menu when you reach the counter - another nice touch instead of looking at a board.
Today I ordered the 'Nourish & Flourish' burger on a low GI bun. It has beef, avocado, & all the standard burger ingredients. Nice to see grated carrot on there. Burger patty was cooked well & very tasty.
Only disappointment was the bun disintegrated however that is expected with this type of bun I guess. They do have a knives available on the table so I cut the burger in half. Messy but yum.
Not sure if all locations are this good but I will definitely be back.

Great tasting burgers. I had the Mighty Melbourne and the mix of flavours really worked well. With a side of chips it was the perfect amount of food.
One of my favourite places to eat- Grill'd is always a reliable option but still has gourmet tasting burgers without a 'food chain' feeling. The yard setting is homely and comfortable. Service is impressive with a likeable and friendly staff there to listen to your every request. Ordered the super bun along with my burger and was a bit disappointed when it came out (it looked like two pancakes for buns) but was pleasantly surprised on taste which elevated the flavours of my Moroccan Lamb burger, which was absolutely delicious. Sweet potato chips were delicious and seasoned amazingly. Overall, a positive dining experience which I will come back for constantly.
The service was phenomenally good. The guy managing the tables really went above and beyond. Food came out quickly and was delicious. The place was clean. If only more places were like this!
A great atmosphere at their "back yard" which made it a super cozy experience. Good food but not more than average, nice staff but bathroom not very tidy and you had to ask staff to open with a key.

Great chicken burger, and fries! They also have non-meat burgers. This place has its own toilet in case you needed to go. Good dining experience.
Food was yummy and reasonable price. Great little place to eat, cosy out door area with heaters for the cold weather. Friendly staff.

Oh my! I love Grill’d! A friend of mine took me here and I ended up obsessed with it. I got the Vegan burger and the patty was SO tasty, not a typical one made of veggies, it had a very nice texture.
They also give you “tokens” per meal to donate to your favourite cause.
