It was so good! Everything was very nice
Awesome place for lunch that definately leaves an impression, especially for family, or a catchup with close friends or business contacts alike. Food and service is top notch, and the ambiance of the place is of high class. Easy to see why it's often hard to get a table here.
Popped in for breakfast on a Monday morning. Greeted by a very friendly waitress. Had the smoked salmon scrambled eggs with spinach. Very tasty and good value
Warm and friendly, perfect for a pre-footy meal. The tikka masala was absolutely delish. There were lots of things on the menu I'd like to try so will definitely be back.
It's a versatile place. You get the usual pub kinda crowd and a small restaurant area where you can sit and eat in peace. They have glass enclosing which I feel was pretty cool. We ordered a few share plates. Except for the teriyaki skewers which was a bit too fishy for my friend, the chips and the brie melt was to die for. The sri Racha mayo was really delicious. It was a good experience overall. I would return someday.
Consistently good food and friendly service, this time lunch for 3. We had salmon, pumpkin salad and fish and chips. The large football screens are great for game days and there's always a social crowd.
This bar gives me wonderful memories where I would come with sis and friends to chat over our weekly dramas. Those were the days. The food is great as well, always something different that you could try. I also admire the lady bartenders here, they are so firm with intoxicated customers but at the same time fair & friendly too. It's hard to achieve that sort of aura. Great work.
Fun venue for Friday night after work drinks with surprisingly delicious finger food. Very close to southern cross station which is handy, staff are always friendly. They sometimes make you collect your food from down stairs and carry it up the stairs which is pretty crazy but I really love the atmosphere and all the food I've had so far has been fantastic

Convenient place for after work drinks if you are in the docklands area. Drinks are expensive comparative to other bar prices. We ate the chicken parmas which were above standard. Cheese cooked well and chicken itself had a crunchy "crust" to it . Came with a good serving of chips and a small salad, slightly overpriced at $25
I've eaten here on many an occasion given I used to work nearby and it actually serves excellent food, surprising given the menu is your typical pub grub. The staff are pretty great also no doubt well seasoned professionals dealing with the pre footy crowds and post work suits. It's a really good spot for after work drinks and nibbles as they can accomodate you with a semi private area and the space is so vast you can take a large group for lunch too. The lamb salad was healthy but extremely filling and packed with flavour from the dukkah seasoning. The walnuts gave it a nice crunch too pairing nicely with the creamy texture of the Persian feta.
Platform28 is at a very good location in Melbourne CBD. Lovely and lively place. Good range of snack and drinks. Good range available for Vegans too. I loved their onion rings.
Good atmosphere and good selection of beers, ciders and wines. I had the chicken teriyaki burger followed by the brownie with chilli chocolate ice cream. Both were very good and I was pretty stuffed afterwards. A bit on the expensive side which is typical of Docklands.
I was elected to arrange a team dinner for work with very little time to organise. The office is based at the Docklands, and is new to the area, so thought I would try Platform28, and so please we did. We were seated in the Atrium , which was so pretty. The was a large number of us and we could all sit together, most places wanted to split us into two tables or more. And the wait staff were amazing. Very efficient and all the food came out at the same time which was very impressive. Portions was huge and great selection , there really was something for everyone . I had the parmigiana, was tasty! We all very much enjoyed it! Thank you platform28 for all your help. Look forward to coming again.
Food is usually pretty great, but make sure you avoid the place on a Friday evening if you don't like being surrounded by hundreds of people. This place gets SO busy for after work drinks. Good selection of drinks, but a bit on the pricey side.
Lively ambience, good range of beers on tap, and a good mix of open and closed seating, is what defines this place!
Food is average and a bit on the higher end, and the menu is limited (i can gaurantee this for a friday).
I had ordered a peri-peri chicken wrap, with bread and homemade dips, as the side-kick.
It would consider it a good option, to have a few drinks with friends in docklands!
When you walk in, you think great!... This place is cool... Yes, it is, the staff are nice and will help you all the way through.. Food is nice, (pulled pork brioche rolls and asian greens) had to wait and remind them a meal was missing but on a whole, a Friday lunch office work vibe, which is always thumbs up!
[ Always there when you need a good feed ]
My food photo-blog kind of started here actually... back in December 2015. Average photo but great taste! Pretty much anything decent is closed over the weekend except for this place; and when you get there, you get served amazing stuff like this pulled lamb and lamb patty burger in a minty brioche bun!
Ooh, work sponsored drinks and snacks. Being way too old and married for flirty afterwork drinks where you're squeezing through the crowd to get to the bar, this place is nice and roomy with none of that loud music. Our PM ordered snacks too, and oh my goodness did she do good. Lamb cutlets, steamed dumplings, fish and chips, beef sliders and bruscetta, all really delicious.
The place is rock with nice outdoor sitting for a hot day... Really good for drinks before heading to the Etihad. Will definitely come back
Ordered the pumpkin ravioli. Was absolutely delicious. Sauce was creamy and thick but didn't hit my stomach too heavy. The pine nuts complimented the sauce perfectly and it was quite cheap too. Staff were also super friendly! Would definitely come back for dinner.
This place is pretty busy, despite the relatively average rating it was received so far. I come here quite often as it's close to my work. First let me get one thing off my chest ... This place has great decor. Beautiful. It has a really nice feel to it but why then do you not provide table service? It annoyed me that it was such a nicely decorated place but the ambience got cheapened by the lack of table service.
Now for the food. We have had the following:
1) mini pork brioche: so yummy and I love the brioche. 5/5
2) mushroom spring rolls. These were nice and exactly as expected. 4/5
3) salt and pepper squid: tasty but sauce wasn't as good as I expected. 4/5
Nice drinks and cocktails at happy hour too.
Very pleasant ambiance. Good food. Friendly staff and good service. In docklands ,there isnt any better place than here to have Parma with chips.
Awesome food great atmosphere. Staff were do courteous and service very prompt for a busy night. Thank you for a great night platform 28. Look forward to coming back soon. Guys if you want an awesome venue for a function this looks like the place to be.
First things first, Platform 28 is a gorgeous establishment, great areas for drinking and dining both indoors and out, separate dining room if you're feeling fancy and an upper level that seemed to be reserved purely for functions. Platform 28 would be a perfect spot for a brew before a game of footy at the aforementioned Etihad stadium (without naming names a couple o
Frequent Friday night Drinks. Have made this our local for Friday night drinks.
Always friendly staff, never have to wait too long to get a drink.
lunch menu is fantastic, definitely reccomend the pide.
can get very busy on friday nights, attracts corporate / suits, but blends well.
Visited Saturday 31 August for lunch before the footy. Great pub, good service and food.
Had a 21st birthday party here for around 100 people. Seamlessly organized and very helpful, friendly service. Finger food was good, unpretentious fare, perfect for a stand up cocktail event. The undercover upstairs balcony was spacious and had a great ambience despite it raining on the night. Highly recommended to anyone planning a function in the CBD.
Great burger and mushroom ravioli was tasty. Overall would recommend. Went on a quiet night in town and had no complaints!
Pub grub at its finest!. I had the steak and my partner had a chicken parma, both amazing! The steak was one of the best I have had in Melbourne. Definitely will be going back.
Delicious food, friendly staff, outstanding service!. We recently held our Christams Party here and the whole experience was amazing. The food was fresh, tasty and ample in there servings, the staff were accomodating and friendly and I now think I have a place to have my own 30th birthday party. I was so happy that I didn't have to worry about anything and that no request was too much for any of the staff to handle. Plus the drink selection was pretty impressive with more than enough beers on tap! Thank you for a fantastic day!
Very nice place we came here not knowing the kitchen was closing but they were more than happy to let us eat dinner there with less than 3 minutes of the kitchen. Lets just say my boyfriend and I cleaned the plate! Delicious !
Great Friday night out with the girls. The food was fabulous, especially the tandoori salmon and the servings incredibly generous. Definitely worth another visit.
We went here to celebrate our dads 70th birthday. All of the meals ordered were fantastic. No complaints from anyone in our party. The staff really looked after us making sure we had drinks and the table was always cleared. Would definitely return!!
Fantastic lunch! Staying at the travelodge feeling a bit seedy from Fridays effort i thought I'll head to platform 28 for lunch, despite the bad comment i had a great eye fillet and side of onion rings the fella behind the bar was helpful to the menu choice and extremely polite, despite the bad reviews i had a fine experience, I'm moe than happy to write a bad review if i have a bad experience but im not as lazy as some to post a good one either! Cheers platform 28
Great for pre football drinks and feed. Dropped in last weekend before heading to Etihad for the footy and though the place was great. The atmosphere was fantastic and exactly what we we're looking for. Food was delicious - we had a variety of meals at our table and everyone was really impressed though favourites were definitely the parma and beef burger. Even though the place was obviously busy staff were worked at a quick pace while still being friendly and were still happy to have a chat with over the bar. Will definitely be back whenever in the area.
GREAT!!!!. Went down for a business lunch and could not be more impressed with the staff. The meal I had (burger) was great! big and juicy. I have been back and had the eye fillet cooked perfactly,
will be back again
GREAT STEAK!!. Had a great lunch today - the steak was cooked to perfection. My friend had the risotto which she said was gorgeous - will be back for the food & friendly staff.
Sensational. Love the balcony, I will definately be back
I recently Popped into platform 28 on a Friday night enjoying a few beverages on the balcony and wow what a great place for dining and dancing and the Dj rocked!
