Review Tazio - Melbourne

Grant Frazer
We had the pleasure of holding our intimate wedding dinner at Tazio (18 guests) in the Long Room on the 22-02-2022. From the canapes to entrees then through to mains our wedding guests were delighted with the abundant selection of delightful food, wonderful drinks selection, the impeccable service and beautiful decor of Tazio. Tazio also catered for our Vegan guests who raved about the high quality delicious vegan food. The whole evening was put together by the wonderfully skilled Maggie, who made our preparations effortless and ensured our wedding dinner was perfect. Maggie and her team are true assets to Tazio and we cannot wait to come back to Tazio again to enjoy their wonderful venue and service! Thanks Tazio for everything you did to ensure our wedding dinner was very special.

Ducked into this spot for a quick bite to eat, initially because of the cool tunes they had playing (Dolly!!!) Turns out the rest of the place is just as awesome! We chose the Gnocchi Gorgonzola which were like little pillows of happiness smothered in fatty cheese sauce, and the Pasta Agnello - Lamb ragu with pappardelle pasta & grana padano parmesan. Both very pleasing, and just perfect portion sizing. I washed mine down with 2 pints of Little Creatures Pale Ale and was quite the happy gent! Staff were lovely and quite playful - just perfect!

I organised a hens lunch at Tazio and we could not have been happier to have found this space. We were blown away with the level of service. Maggie was a pleasure to deal with in the lead up and the staff on the day were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. The quality and abundance of the food and drinks was impressive, they were also accomodating to all of our dietary requirements offering a variety of great options. We received so much positive feedback from our guests. A big thank you to Maggie and her amazing team!

The food, service and dark fitout were all wonderful. The entrance on the side down a small lane, rather than through the front door on Flinders Lane, is very Melbourne. We had a prawn pizza, which had wonderful flavour and a generous number of large, juicy prawns. The seafood risotto had plump scallops, a generous amount of seafood and beautifully cooked al dente rice.

Had lunch and the vegetarian croquettes and arancini were delicious. The spinach orrichette was also really nice and a good size serving. Husband had calamari and seafood pasta. He loved the pasta but calamari not as much. Couple we were with had meatballs, chicken and veal and said nice too. Desserts looked delicious but couldn't fit in!! Coffees (soy latte, decaf almond latte and macciatto) also good. Interesting old building and wonder what it was before restaurant. Seating comfortable and tables not too close together, unlike some other restaurants where you can share your neighbours seat! Staff really good, friendly and knowledgeable. Would go back.

The food was good and loved it. They have options for vegetarian. Just that, if they had a better seating as I was happy to wait. They could have accommodated us in a better place.
Jaz Patano
I requested for an intimate seating and they delivered! Not only was the interior beautiful but the food was amazing. I'll definitely be coming back!

Top notch Italian in Little Flinders St in heart of Melbourne city food district. Great servicešŸ˜€šŸ‘

Is this the kind of place where the staff are told to be terrible at customer service??? The waiters were rushing around and barely paying any attention to us. We ordered a bowl of chips and asked if we could have salt to put on them, the first waitress look confused and disgusted by our request and bought us an empty salt shaker, the second waitress brought us a pepper shaker and finally the third waitress brought us a full salt shaker. After we had finished eating we asked our waitress for the bill and she said "um no just go to the bar when you're ready". As we were getting ready to leave another waiter came to us and asked if we wanted the bill, surprised we said yes, confused because the previous waitress said we didn't need one. When we went to the bar to pay it was as if we were invisible- maybe it's because the staff couldn't see us behind all the dirty glasses that covered the entire bench. It was a delicious meal, but I won't be going back.

Staff advised that there was an express lunch special, where we could get a pizza and a drink. We ordered accordingly but later advised that the lunch special isn't on Fridays. We tried to cancel our drinks, but the drinks were brought out before the waitress could cancel our order.

Wouldnā€™t recommend the breakfast had eggs Benedict with bacon , the bacon was burnt to a crisp and it was supposed to have hollandaise sauce which was pretty much non existent

I recently hired the upstairs private balcony for a function. All of the Tazio staff that I dealt with were professional, helpful and very hospitable. The function package was fantastic value with a wide range of delicious food and drinks, and they were very accommodating to dietary requirements. We all had a fantastic night and cannot thank Tazio enough! Would highly recommend.

I've eaten here several times and not once had a bad dish. The staff are friendly and professional, with exceptional service. Great atmosphere too. Great selection of drinks and food. Recommended this venue to many friends, who've all loved it. Keep up the great work.

Family meal for 7. Excellent food and service and reasonable prices. Could have done with bread on the menue but our excellent waiter rustled up a bit for us off the menue.

Must say I was very happy with the service here! Initially, I had planned to have dinner with friends for my 25th at a different place, however that venue had to cancel my booking due to unforeseen circumstances last minute. I was left with the job of trying to book a venue that would cater for my guests with 3 days notice. When I rang Tazio, Rach who was dealing with events and Functions here, took this on board very quickly and arranged everything for me in the limited time and was very supportive! On the night, Anthony, ( our waiter) looked after us very well! He always managed to think on his feet and provided a smooth and outstanding service which made the night perfect, catering for all needs. Huge shout out to the two of them for making my 25th dinner with friends a pleasant time. There was plenty of food on the table for the guests and the banquet option was fantastic for a function! Had such great feedback from my friends about the food and place! Thanks guys for making it a perfect night!

Fantastic venue and pizza to die for! Don't suppose it delivers? The staff are always attentive and Ray the manager is truly an amazing soul to bless the earth :) X

Probably one of the best overall venues I've been to! The staff were super professional and accommodating, the food was on point, and the venue manager didn't miss a beat. Highly recommended!

Fantastic food and cocktails and the service is always first rate. The staff did an absolutely fabulous job for our wedding party; everyone raved about what a great time they'd had.

We would like to thank the staff at Tazio for helping to plan a memorable engagement party. We booked half the balcony and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, even going so far as making vegan options available for one of our guests. The food was amazing as always, highly recommended the arancini! 10/10 would do it again. Thanks from Peter and Tiffany.
Jassy Hiddins
Amazing drinks, delicious food and awesome staff! Definitely the best restaurant I've been to in Melbourne and never fails to disappoint!!

Just had our team dinner here last night in the long room. Food was sensational and staff (particularly Clara) was outstanding. It was a seamless experience which every raved about. Booking with Maggie was quick and easy and the menu she provided was filling and plentiful. Cost was also very acceptable The menus for our people with dietary requirements was well thought out and the team were exceptionally happy Would definitely go back and will recommend Tazio to my colleagues and friends

We recently had dinner on the private balcony for my sisters hens party. A very professional business with great friendly staff. Food package was great value for money and also tasted great! Ladies with dietary requirements were well looked after. Nothing was too difficult and we had a great night!

10/10 went there tonight with my mum and a family friend, it's my go to whenever I want to sit down for a hearty, amazing meal! Will always be going back here for some incredible food and on point service! ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½

Service was great, food delicious and the cocktails were divine and great value on a Saturday night. Great place indeed!

Excellent customer service, beautiful atmosphere and food. Prices high but quality is always worth it. Highly recommended.

Great ambiance and beautiful pizza. Loved the choice of wine too. I'll be coming back for sure.

Our breakfast was good. I liked the addition of the Beetroot relish to the smashed avo with a poached egg and my husband enjoyed the bacon smash but mostly potato and could have used a but more bacon ratio.
Anna Micari
A great venue with great staff and delicious food for our function of about 30 guests. Staff were all incredibly accommodating and helped us to have a wonderful celebration.
Carolyn Whincup
Yummy pizza I recommend the Del Marre if you like prawns

Excellent went for my granddaughters hens night the service was fantastic will certainly return again and have recommended this restaurant to my friends thanks for a great night

We booked our Christmas lunch for our company Tazio which was fantastic. Ray was very friendly, informative and catered for all guests dietary requirements which was great. The food and service was a success and all staff had an enjoyable afternoon.

I booked a hens party for my bff and was thrilled with the suggestions given for food and drinks. As I was booking from Perth it was all organised via email and went very smoothly. On the night, everyone commented on how amazing the food was and how plenty full it was. We had a great time. Thank you so much!
Linda Kolevas
Great pizza! Great coffee! Good service. Just what you want in the middle of the city, a little hideaway with plenty of privacy. Iā€™ll be back.

Back in the office briefly in between stage 1 and 2 lockdowns and one of the first lunchtime places I was craving was Tazio. We ordered take away and got a pizza each to take back to the office. They still got it!!! Their base dough is exceptional and toppings not heavy handed<br/>Like some places. Will continue to be a regular and only wish they were in our 5km zone so we could orders from them during Iso 2.0. <br/>KD<br/><br/>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<br/>Previous Review<br/>I revisited this Pizza place recently for lunch with a work colleague, it is a great venue and never disappoints. With the glorious summer weather we opted to sit outside as a change, I must say I think I enjoyed it more as it was brighter and a tad quieter.<br/><br/>We ordered a pizza and a glass of wine each, My friend ordered her favourite the Angiolina, Tomato, mozzarella, hot salami, anchovies and olives.<br/><br/>I ordered the Treviso, (my favourite) which is Napoli, Meredith goats cheese, cherry tomatoes, basil rocket and olive oil and added anchovies. I love the thin crispy base of these pizzas and the toppings are full of flavour, the cherry tomatoes are little bombs of tomatoey goodness that pairs perfectly with the basil and the I though the rocket gave a nice freshness to each mouthful.<br/>KD

Finally got to go back to tazio after they moved down the street on Flinders lane. The vibes are so much better - with different areas for seating such as bar vibes, dining vibes. Itā€™s much better thought out. Food came out relatively quick too! And the flavours were quite decent.
Sia
Loved the salmon pasta, lamb pasta and the parfait. The staff was friendly & attentive. There was a special attention to detail about any dietary requirements. They had also provided a suggestive menu card with the details on what to avoid. Great ambience, suits the current season.
Ged
Beautiful dinner, attentive staff, relaxed atmosphere upstairs, highly recommend. Food was delicious, and great menu with lots of options. Will most definitely return. Try it out you will not be disappointed.

We came here for Valentineā€™s Day dinner. The staffs were excellent. Very attentive and friendly, recommended what was their signature dishes etc.. The ambiance was romantic and very suitable for a date nite. we loved the antipasto, the prawn risotto and the pannacota. the lamb ragu was ok but it had a very strong lamb smell. Overall a very nice experience and would recommend the place.
Fiona Z
Great place for large groups. Private room with bar was perfect for our staff xmas party. The whole experience from start to finish was excellent. Great communication and great service. Catering for all dietary requirements was made easy too. Thank you Maggie and everyone at Tazio's for making it a great night.
Melb_Belly
Came here for an early dinner and ordered the fish of the day which was salmon and mash.<br/><br/>Portion size is tiny, 3 spears of asparagus, a scoop of mash and a small piece of salmon. Salmon was cooked ok, bit over done but it wasn't dry.<br/><br/>Service was good but we left still feeling hungry.
Estelita Jane Evans
Easily one of the best after work/ date night/function venues in Melbourne. Efficient service with high professionalism and amazing food without a high price tag. Also worth nothing the extensive beer/spirit and wine list for even the snobbiest customer, 10/10. Highly recommend

I had booked for a group of friends for my birthday. We arrived promptly and was ignored for at least 5 minutes by every staff member passing. No matter what gesture we made, or what we said, all we got in response was being pushed past to get by. After contemplating if we should go to another place, one person finally provided the service we shouldā€™ve been provided much earlier on. Food was mediocre, and not worth the trouble.
Whalesfoodadventure
Great service. Food came out really quick. Loved the verdure pizza. The pumpkin worked well with the artichoke. Favourite pizza would be the pancetta pizza. Tasted amazing. Zandon was also good. The pizza dough is abit different to other pizza restaurants, but it was okay.
Tom Bendistinto
I hosted a business event at Tazioā€™s new location in Flinders Lane in their private dining room upstairs called ā€œThe Long Roomā€. Itā€™s a great area for a group of 12 to 15 people. Tazio staff and service was excellent and would recommend everyone to try it.
Flying Forward
Tazio has moved location into a newly renovated space. Entry is a little confusing, as the door is down Duckboard Pl, even though there is a door on Flinders Ln. <br/><br/>It was entertaining watching people try to enter and wander around the corners of the building.<br/><br/>Service is old school professional and friendly.<br/><br/>The ambiance itself is spacious, high ceiling and good for a lot of business meetings.<br/><br/>Arancini ā€“ fresh and crisp exterior, with a creamy interior, exactly what I expected.<br/><br/>The base of their pizzas feels a little commercial. The edges donā€™t bubble up like handmade artisanal doughs ā€“ itā€™s thin, crisp and crackly. <br/><br/>Marostica ā€“ rich and ripe toppings of sausage meat, tomatoes, olives and pesto. Great combination.<br/><br/>Zandon ā€“ simple toppings of fresh cheese, salty prosciutto and peppery rocket.<br/><br/>Iā€™m not a fan of the pizza base however the restaurant is often on discount apps, so if you can take advantage of that, give it a go.

The city is filled with different food options on every street and lane.Tried @taziomelbourne and the seafood pasta did not dissappoint.Definitely a place to unwind with casual indoor and outdoor dining. Be sure to check out their daily dinner specials which runs every day of the week
Antonietta Pane-Bongiorno
I had my daughterā€™s confirmation at Tazio in the private dining room upstairs and I couldnā€™t have been happier. From the start of my engagement with Tazio they were very accommodating and helpful, servicing all my requests and very responsive to any changes I needed to make. The day of the event went super smoothly. The food was incredible, the quality and quantity was commented on by all my 35 guests. The service on the night was fantastic. All my guests were left impressed. I look forward to celebrating there in future. Thanks Tazio, especially Maggie.

Tazio is the perfect resturant for a night out!<br/><br/>I went on a Saturday night with a friend and although the resturant was quite busy, the mains that we ordered came out reasonably quickly and we were met with lovely customer service. The staff at this establishment are not only friendly but are also extremely efficient!<br/><br/>The atmosphere, as always, was lively and upbeat. The ambience of the warm lighting and brick walls created the perfect cosy mood.<br/><br/>I ordered the Verdure pizza and requested it to be vegan. The ricotta was swapped with fresh spinach and the mozzarella was substituted with a dairy free cheese alternative. It's a shame I didn't take a photo of the dish because it looked just as good as it tasted.<br/><br/>Everything was great and I'll definitely be back at Tazio again!
Nay Nay
We were hungry and thought a late night pizza would be a good idea. Staff were lovely and accommodating here. A bit of miss communication on the size of the pizza. The pizza itself was quite average

Unfortunately we didn't food here was great. The king prawns and muscles weren't fresh (mushy). Didn't really enjoy the antipasti board either. Safe to say we were majorly disappointed given how our last visit was much much better!

Very nice restaurant, great staff and decent food! Arancini balls were beautifully made but the main didnā€™t quite blow me away, I had the scotch fillet bistecca, was really soft and cooked to how I like it. Needed more sauce though and maybe more pumpkin than potatoes cause they drained the flavour away and dried up the plate. Parfait for dessert was delicious tho! Not a fan of the fairy floss which had me excited but I enjoyed it anyways! Would definitely come back to try other dishes!
Tamarah Tomkins
The team at this restaurant were amazing. I held a team dinner for 18 people and they were able to accommodate in a private room, add extra seats when a few extra people turned up, catered to those with dietary requirements and offered an amazing selection of food options. Highly recommend this restaurant for a group bookings. The feedback on the food was amazing and plentiful.
Sabina Aunedi
Great late night feed, amazing waiters and great pizzas! I would definitely come back again. <br/>I would recommend ordering the eggplant dish as an entre

I must say that I donā€™t understand the high rating for this place. I went there for dinner with my boyfriend. We had a carpaccio as a starter which was already brown and dry. The pizza dough was also pretty dry and flavorless. The toppings on the other side tasted nice and fresh. The service was okay, but we felt rushed (however the restaurant wasnā€™t super busy). We definitely wonā€™t be back.

Returning customers! The food is lovely and fresh, along with outstanding customer service. I would highly recommend going on their buzzing Friday evenings with drink specials and a good vibe. A special shout out to our waitperson (Victoria) who was efficient, kind and professional! Will definitley return to continue working my way down the menu! Keep up the great work.

Came to Tazio on Saturday night with some friends for a birthday dinner! wonderful service was provided with lovely staff!<br/><br/>all the food looked lovely and everyone enjoyed their meals, we were so full after! i had the ā€œpesceā€ which was crispy skinned salmon AND was DELICIOUS! was so crispy and paired beautifully with some broccolini! we had some cocktails too which were delicious <br/><br/>thanks Tazio! iā€™d love to come back :)

We held our end of financial year party at Tazio and I am so glad that we did. Dietaries were so easily catered and the food was so plentiful so much so that people were taking it home. The food was amazing the staff were amazing I couldnā€™t fault anything. I look very much forward to returning to Tazio.

I went to Tazio before it relocated to its current location and Iā€™ve had their pizza many times before, but this is my first review of it!<br/><br/>I ordered the Angiolina and my wife ordered the Della Mare. First off, I have to say, Tazio has one of the best pizzas in Melbourne. No doubt. Iā€™ve been here many times and Iā€™ve had many other pizzas. A lot of places let themselves down with the amount of liquid that comes out of the cheese that creates a mini pool in the middle of the pizza, making it soggy and unpleasant. Tazio doesnā€™t make this mistake.<br/><br/>It has a nice light and thin crispy crust and the salty hot salami hits the spot. I asked them to exclude the anchovies and olives as I feared it would make it too salty. I enjoyed it with just the salami. My wife loves her prawn pizza and always tells me how good it is. I agree.<br/><br/>Iā€™ve also had the steak here before and it was pretty damn good too. I give Tazio 4 stars. I would definitely come back when I can, and you all should give it a go too!
AH
Easy and reliable. You always know what youā€™re getting at Tazio, a good and reasonably priced feed. It isnā€™t outstanding, but definitely never fails to meet my expectations when Iā€™m looking for a quick meal.

We booked Tazio for a 12-person dinner after a team strategy day, and from first contact to last they were thoughtful, efficient and provided great value. Plentiful good food, amazing service, and a great venue meant a good time was had by all. :-)

Had a nice meal previously at the old location but was terribly disappointed this time. Ordered lamb and seafood pasta which were both pretty average. The seafood pasta had large chunks of garlic throughout and a piece of raw, uncooked fish. I quietly informed the waitress after I had finished my meal and she eventually returned to the table to inform me that the chef has said that it is barramundi belly fat and not raw fish. Such a stupid, unprofessional response does not even warrant a comment and I will definitely not be returning to this restaurant after this experience.
Lina's Music House
We came here for dinner because it was in the Entertainment book.<br/><br/>The pasta dishes were quite bland. The pasta didn't soak in the flavour.<br/><br/>Nice atmosphere with balcony seating option. Friendly staff.<br/><br/>
Michelle Moffat
Great food and service. The pizza is very scrumptious and delectable. We also had the calamari which was nice and the steak and veggies were also nice. The cocktails are great as well.
Good Food Good Mood
I've been here twice now and the happy hour is the draw card for me. The bar is heaving with the after work crowd so book a table to ensure you have somewhere to sit whilst carb loading and sipping your espresso martini. The other draw card is the fact itā€™s in the entertainment book so a decent discount. I had a craving for a potato pizza but there was not one on the menu so I settled for a delicious lamb ragu pasta. I also loved their hilariously written cocktail menu <br/><br/>Original review<br/>This is traditional Italian pizza. There will be no pineapple chicken here. I ordered a margherita which was all very standard so I then demolished most of my friends Della Mare (sorry not sorry) a garlic chilli prawn rendition with spinach. This is apparently their signature pizza and it was definitely my favourite of the five we tried. Typical Italian fare but nothing groundbreaking

It amazes me why people are in hospitality, and more so how some places exist. <br/>I went to Tazio for breakfast today, <br/>Ordered an omelette that was on the menu for 9.50<br/>It was served reasonably quick and for 9.50 it was ok very basic and un seasoned I ate about 1/3 and went to pay <br/><br/>Upon paying I had been charged $4.00 extra for my omelette. I pointed it out to the cashier who then apologised and checked with her female manager. <br/><br/>Who said yes itā€™s a printing error $13.50 is correct.<br/>I said itā€™s printed on the menu as $9.50. <br/>The manager then snaps back with attitude saying ā€œwell what do want a refundā€ I said yes <br/>She responds with ā€œ fine the staff member can pay for it out of their pocketā€ I said I did not make the mistake and I donā€™t need to be given this attitude. <br/>The manager then saysā€ I donā€™t need you as a customer donā€™t come backā€<br/><br/>Wow I would hate to see her reaction if I was at fault. Or was this the reaction of a manager who just got caught rigging her till and cheating unsuspecting customer
Mary866
Friendly welcoming staff, fast service.Ā  We ordered a risotto which was disappointing as the rice seemed undercooked and the sauce very runny.Ā  The veal cutlets were lovely, three large veal cutlets were too much, one would have been sufficient with maybe some more veges.Ā  Overall quite a nice place to eat.
Teigan Price
Went here last night with a group of 4. We booked in advance through Zomato and had an incredibly quick confirmation and a follow up phone call to confirm the booking which was great. The interior of the restaurant was lovely and staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. My partner and I ordered the eggplant parmigiana for entree and both got a pizza for main. The parmigiana was amazing and my Margherita pizza definitely lived up to all expectations I had from the previous reviews. Nice, thin base and delicious cheese and tomato sauce. <br/>The couple we went with also enjoyed both their meals (pasta and risotto) and their entree. <br/>We would definitely recommend this restaurant and wouldnā€™t hesitate to return if weā€™re in the area.

I decided to hire out the balcony bar for my 21st birthday and it was the perfect space for the type of event I had! The staff and managers worked with me to ensure that I got exactly what I wanted (food/drinks/music/service/etc). They were there to answer and address all the questions and concerns I had, and were thoughtful enough to create tailored food and drinks menus for my event - including own menus for those with dietary requirements. The atmosphere of the balcony was great for summer, and guests could still talk, drink and mingle with each other. I got lots of compliments in terms of the space and the food served!<br/><br/>After my event, I got invited back to dine for lunch/dinner. They were able to reserve a table for me and I went on the night of Valentine's Day. They even remembered who I was and that I held an event there recently - which made me feel very special as a guest. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating, and the service was prompt and welcoming. We ordered the mac & cheese croquettes, garlic pizza, Della Mare pizza, Rib eye steak, fries and the rocky road dessert pizza. We enjoyed all the food we ordered and it was of a high standard - very full and content at the end!Ā <br/><br/>Thank you Tazio for accommodating me twice on two special nights, and I'm very glad that I chose your venue :)
Stephanie Warwarek
This place is great! Service was impeccable and attentive and food was really tasty! With only limited time before seeing a show, the staff confirmed our time availability before we arrived and ensured we ate in full in time. Food was flavoursome, portion sizes a little small for the price but yummy on the plate.

Went to Tazio for a Christmas party. Had their tuna capaccio, meatballs and the tiramisu.<br/><br/>I am not sure about this place, the tuna was pretty tasteless except for the capers, and it wasnā€™t as fresh as I would like it to be.<br/><br/>The meatballs felt like it has been microwaved, it was cold in parts.<br/><br/>The tiramisu was ok, it was quite a generous portion but I didnā€™t u derstand why they sprinkled sugar on top, as it makes it crunchy and way too sweet.<br/><br/>the service was mediocre, as if they didnā€™t really want us there.
Joseph Cardillo
Came here for a date night and had a good feed with a few cocktails. All up nice well cooked pizza a pasta that was hard to fault. In the main pretty good.<br/>
Dine And Dash
This amazing Italian restaurant in the heart of Flinders Lane was the venue for a Zomato sponsored event and they couldn't have chosen a better Italian restaurant. The pizzas and pastas were simply delicious and faultless.<br/>We thoroughly enjoyed the platter of cured meats and vegetables and thought the vegetarian eggplant dish was divine. <br/>The customer service was also exceptional and they were incredibly accommodating with my dietary needs going as far as to print a special menu just for me!!! Amazing!<br/>If you're looking for an exciting and vibrant Italian restaurant in the city with outstanding food head straight to Tazio!

If I had to invest a monthā€™s carbs to pig out, Iā€™d go for Tazioā€™s.<br/><br/>The food is PHENOMENAL. We ordered the Della Mare, Salmone and a Mushroom Risotto.<br/><br/>If Iā€™d recommend anything alone, Iā€™d say order the risotto. Iā€™ve never been a risotto person but this risotto changed my mind! Itā€™s cooked to perfection and the flavour is so exceptional! Everything is well balanced and it truly makes you so happily filled! The pizza is great and the food is so fresh! Truly the best italian food that Iā€™ve ever had. <br/><br/>The service is fantastic too! <br/><br/>Definitely a must try and will return!
The New Fave
I never thought I was the biggest risotto fan - until I tried Tazio's Prosciutto Risotto with tomato, basil and Meredith's goats cheese. Whilst with most risottos I get sick of the same taste and texture after about 5 mouthfuls, Tazio's risotto (whilst a bit of an ugly duckling) packs enough flavour that it still excites the taste buds with each mouthful.

I had my sisters hens here a few weeks ago! The service was unbelievable I would definitely recommend for anyone who has a large group to be catered for. There was so much food and it tasted amazing. All guests commented on the amount/quality of food. The drinks were filled all night and the servers were EXCEPTIONAL. Would 100% recommend this place and will be returning ā¤ļø

Service was so so slow here. The pizza was great and the entree was good. I got the meatballs dish. It was succulent and full of flavor soaked from the sauce.

Disclaimer: This review is devoid of any influence, biases and prejudices.<br/><br/>Banquet was organised on the 1st level of this restaurant which is just perfect for throwing a party or organising a function. The ground-level space looks no less than a chic looking italian pub / bistro....Very casual and laid back<br/><br/>Dinner consisted an entrƩe platter of antipasto consisting of feta, breads, cured cuts, pickled cucumber, etc and prepared our palates for the next course.<br/><br/>For mains there were Pizzas, Pastas and Risottos out of which Pistachio Semifreddo and Della Mare were the dishes of the day.<br/><br/>Perfectly flavored, crisp and cooked Della Mare with prawns, spinach and mozerella was finger-licking good.<br/>Pistachio dessert had a perfect balance of nuttiness and sweetness.....It lingers and serenades your taste-buds.<br/><br/>Our other favorites were Verduree (Pizza with Roasted Pumpkin, Artichokes Hearts and Pine nuts), Slow Cooked Ragu Lamb Pasta, Chicken in Amatriciana Sauce and Chocolate Mousse Terrine.<br/><br/>All the Pizzas were perfectly crisp and nice....With generous toppings. The meat in Ragu Lamb Pasta and Chicken Pasta was tender and juicy. Pastas were cooked to perfection - 'Al Dente'. The dark chocolate mousse Terrine was decadent and 'melts-in-your-mouth' good.<br/><br/>Personally, Risottos were our least favorites....They were little too grainy and lacked suppleness.<br/><br/>Attendants were quite friendly and quick.<br/><br/>Thank you Tazio, Zomato and Marcus from Zomato for organising such a besutiful banquet to promote the newly launched Menu of Tazio. It was quite interesting to meet few of the 12- 15 bloggers that were hand-picked for this event.

We were honoured to be invited to attend the Zomato influencers dinner banquet held at Tazio Birraria Pizzeria & Cucina in Flinders Lane. Tazio is a contemporary Italian restaurant serving authentic and delicious Italian food. The venue is large and spacious, and the rooftop balcony is perfect to catch up with some friends and have a couple of drinks. We were seated in the function area which, we were informed that, in the daytime turns into a cafe that is connected to the adjacent shopping centre. At night, however, the room is turned into a dining space which can be booked for large functions.<br/><br/>We sampled a variety of dishes from Tazioā€™s new menu including antipasto, pizza, pasta and risotto, salad and dessert. Every dish was delicious, however we did have a few highlights from the night. Our favourite pizzas included the Vendure (tomato, mozzarella, roast pumpkin, artichoke hearts, peppers, pine nuts and ricotta) and the Della Mare (tomato, mozzarella, chilli, garlic, prawns and fresh spinach). For all pizzas, the base was crispy and perfect in thinness, and the mozzarella was amazing. The lamb ragu pasta was simple yet very flavourful and the lamb itself was extremely tender and delicious. Of course you can never leave without dessert, and that white chocolate & pistachio semifreddo was simply amazing. It was creamy yet light and refreshing, the pistachios added a nice crunchy texture and the tart raspberries balanced out the sweetness.<br/><br/>Thank you to Zomato for hosting this wonderful event, and I look forward to many more in the future! Overall, we had an amazing experience and thoroughly enjoyed meeting other Zomato influencers and bonding over the delicious food. It is definitely a place worth checking out, although I would recommend booking as it did seem very busy and popular at night!

Tazio is the epitome of modern, yet classy Italian cuisine. With a rooftop balcony bar and an array of Italian favourites, we found ourselves welcomed to the ambient and aromatic smells upon dining here.<br/><br/>Today we were served an assortment of pizzas, pastas, Antipasto, and desserts to share with fellow Zomato contributors and here is what we thought! We found that the pizzas had a very nice cheesy flavour to them, with special mention to the Veneto, whose meat was fresh and easy to consume. The pastas we also enjoyed, with the lamb meat on the lamb ragyu pasta being exceptionally soft and melted in our mouth. The tomato based pasta was also very good, with nice meaty chunks and a rich tomato sauce. Desserts were also good, just a little too sweet in flavour when we tried the dark chocolate.<br/><br/>Overall definitely a good Italian restaurant offering good pizzas, pastas and desserts. We enjoyed our experience here and think it is definitely worth a visit!<br/><br/>Food: 3.5/5<br/>Ambience: 4/5<br/>Service: 3.5/5<br/>Value: 3.5/5<br/><br/>Overall: 3.5/5

Tazio birraria pizzaeria and cucina in Flinders lane. It was honoured to be invited to try their new food and meet a lot of Zomato bloggers. Food was nice especially the pasta and pizza. Desserts were nice as well. Overall it is a good place to dine in for Italian pizza and pasta. Thanks for the invite from Zomato. Great experience. Thumbs up.

Best gluten free pizza! I came here with a group of work colleagues and everyone was really happy with their pizzas. Nice simple fresh ingredients, great service, and the gluten free bases don't really taste gluten free! Delicious!

Great for any occasion. Great Italian food in Melbourne CBD. <br/><br/>Made a booking on Zomato for 7 people on 19 October which was confirmed automatically. A staff also called to confirm booking on the day.<br/><br/>Overall we had a great experience at the restaurant, the staff were friendly and approachable. The food was delicious especially the Della Mare pizza and fries. We also thought they were very accomodating as they made a pasta dish off the menu for one of our friends and it was delicious. <br/><br/>Food and drinks reasonably priced and food were delivered in good time. I think you could not go wrong with anything on their menu. I am likely to come back again and try something different on the menu.
Hot For Food
Went to Tazio's for the first time to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We were very impressed - hands down the best pizza we have ever had in the CBD! The customer service we received was also very commendable. Can't wait to go back again!

Friendly staff. Efficient service. Good food. Reasonable prices. Good vibe without being too noisy. Ideal for a family dinner. Menu is a bit limited. It would be good to add a few more vegan/vegetarian options.<br/>

It may sound bit weird that but I found the margherita tastes bit different than other places. Although that pizza is meant to be totally normal but I found this place's margherita different and it was quite tasty.

Had a few hiccups with my order but Maggie showed genuine understanding. Thank you for the service and hospitality. Equally important, was good food too. Cheers, Michael

I came here for my anniversary with my girlfriend and i have to say it was amazing food. We had the Scotch Fillet and the Seafood Marinara, and it was great. The meat was tender and juicy and i don't usually eat a lot of steak but it was thoroughly pleased with my choice. The marinara wasn't what we were expecting but it was still very enjoyable. The customer service was really great and the restaurant had a great vibe and it was a lovely dinner out. The cocktails were also pretty great, I can't wait to come back soon.

Dined with a couple of mates. Food was good. Wine was awesome. Didnā€™t grab the waiters name but was efficient, friendly and attentive. If you want somewhere with friendly staff and good Italian food I would recommend give here a go. All in all a good evening spent here :)

Really nice busy cosy little place , I was able to book in a few hours before hand! Food was yum and service was really good! Definitely a nice little place to come after work on a Friday night!

All classic Italian items are found on the menu. Large venue, would be able to accommodate large groups.<br/><br/>Verdure pizza, $19.5, the toppings were all a bit moist, average pizza base.<br/><br/>Pasta agnello, $26.5, the lamb ragu lacked flavour and the pasta texture was disappointing.<br/><br/>Croquette, $9.5, a bit dry and the salsa verde was a weird flavour.<br/><br/>Eggplant parmigiana, $10, was the best thing we had, hit the mark with flavour.

Lovely meal- cosy atmosphere- great location. Duck Ragu was very pleasant! Others enjoyed pizzas and seafood pasta. Helpful staff, very accommodating.
Chips Before Dips
Came here for a quick meal before heading to the theatre as it was nice and close, and it had good reviews. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Two of us had pizza, and another had pasta and all of us were very pleased with the food. Love the layout and atmosphere of the place too, very cosy.

Tazio held my birthday dinner last night for 28 people and the food an service was wonderful. All my guests commented on the quality of the meal and how much they enjoyed the venue. The most tricky dietry requirements were catered for and those guests recieved a personalised menu. The banquet menus were printed with my name which was a special touch to this restaurant. When I was researching Melbourne restaurants to host my dinner, most quoted me $70 per head and were not as flexible as Tazio who charged $40 a head with dessert optional. Looking forward to dining here again.

Driven past this place a few times and have always seen it buzzing with people. Finally made it for lunch and I wasnā€™t disappointed. Tried the croquettes, paste marinara and the seafood pizza. All of them were fantastic. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The seafood including the mussels was fresh and great texture (many places stuff them up and make them chewy). Great attentive service. Good portioning and a clean place. Will be back!!

Made a last minute reservation online to dine at Tazio for a surprise birthday for a friend last Friday night.<br/>Follow up was great with a confirmation from the staff at Tazio and even on the day received a phone call to confirm our reservation.<br/><br/> šŸ”†LOCATIONšŸ”†<br/>Tazio is a very great restaurant located on corner of Flinders Lane and Exhibition Street.<br/><br/>šŸ”†SERVICEšŸ”†<br/>The staff were very friendly and helpful.<br/>As I entered the restaurant was quickly lead to my table and menu/water was provided/asked promptly.Ā <br/>The restaurant is split level and our table was at the lower level in the corner which was nice and cosy.<br/><br/>The food came out in a timely manner and our waitress was very lovely.<br/><br/>šŸ”†MENUšŸ”†<br/>Their specialty is the pizza but of course you should order entree to share! Hehhe!Ā <br/><br/>My friends and I ordered to share:<br/><br/>Calamari fritti (main serve), $26.50<br/>(Dressed with capers, olives & micro herbs on a roast garlic aioli)<br/><br/>Della Mare Pizza, $22.00<br/>(Tomato, mozzarella, chilli, garlic, prawns & fresh spinach)<br/><br/>Angiolina Pizza, $19.90<br/>(Tomato, mozzarella, hot salami, anchovies & olives)<br/><br/>Panacotta $10.50<br/>(Vanilla bean panacotta & PX Sherry and fresh seasonally berries)<br/><br/>Semifreddo $11.00<br/>(Belgian dark chocolate and roasted hazelnut semifreddo with hot fudge sauce)<br/><br/>šŸ”†PRICEšŸ”†<br/>You can check our final bill to view the overall costs.Ā Ā <br/>The price is quite reasonable especially with the pizza and dessert!Ā <br/><br/>šŸ”†VERDICTšŸ”†<br/>TheĀ  fried calamari was lightly battered/fried and non greasy. It was full of flavour and delicious. Highly recommended.<br/><br/>Della Mare pizza unfortunately was a little bland and that was because we ordered it without Chilli (as I'm allergic to chilli) but otherwise the prawns were very tasty and fresh.<br/><br/>We all loved the Angiolina Pizza the salami was amazing, thinly shaved and lots of flavour simply delicious.<br/><br/>We were actually quite full from our 3 mains but really wanted to try their dessert.<br/><br/>The outstanding dessert was the Semifreddo! Yummy! The chocolate was very light and its just like a large block of ice cream. The fudge sauce was also tasty and light and made the overall dessert very pleasant.<br/> <br/><br/>The only comment I have is the constant opening/closing of the front door was not pleasant, We could feel the breeze and also the smell of cigarettes from the patrons that were sitting outside.<br/><br/>Apart from that the food and service was great!

We started off with carpaccio and calamari. The calamari was a standout, with light delicious texture. The spagnola pizza was crispy and had heat. The lamb ragu pasta was fresh. The only issue we had was with the pasta marinara. We felt the seafood, particularly the mussels were not fresh. Apart from that, the service and the rest of the food was great.
Dee
I came here for a work dinner and didnā€™t expect much as Iā€™m not the biggest fan of pizzas. But the pizzas here are amazing! Thin crust with yummy toppings, everyone else loved it too. Will definitely be back!

We had a function for around 25 people and it was seamless from start to finish. Food, drinks and service fantastic. We will definitely return.

I do have a soft spot for Italian food, always looking out for new places that I have never been before.<br/><br/>Was heading to a concert on a Tuesday night and Tazio was close by. With a good rating, I decided to give it a try and Tazio didnā€™t disappoint.<br/><br/>Carpaccio was so good I could have another serve to myself; the calamari was cooked just right; the Veneto pizza was thoroughly enjoyed; the marinara pasta was inhaled quickly. Whilst I always enjoy a good tiramisu, the semi freddo was definitely the highlight - Belgian dark chocolate with roasted hazelnut - whatā€™s not to like?<br/><br/>Itā€™s on the list for a next visit.
SK
I had two pizzas - both were delicious with flavoursome fresh ingredients, and I didn't feel gross and bloated afterwards. Will definitely be back to try more!

Solid option for Italian food in Melbourne CBD. Pasta & Pizza dishes are always dependable and full range of bar drinks. Can get quite busy during lunch on Friday's & Friday nights so best to make a booking.
Peachy McPeach
We enjoyed a group booking for 17 people. Staff were very thorough in the booking process and careful with dietary requirements. The space was away from the crowd, just for us. Ā Food was delicious and so generous! Staff were attentive and considerate. I have no hesitation recommending Tazio and would book for a group again.

Celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here with 8 other friends. Amazing food and amazing service!!! Had coffee outside after and it was lovely. Loved it! Will be back :)

Always consistent pizza and pasta here at Tazio. Highly recommend the lamb ragu and prawn pizza. Also enjoy the croquettes and salad. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic venue for a large group booking! I recently made a booking for 100 people to attend a work dinner, and right from the start Maggie and the team were extremely helpful with providing us all the information we needed, and were more than happy to cater to all of our varied and special dietary requirements.Ā Ā <br/>On the night of the dinner things couldn't have gone more smoothly. The food was amazing and in abundance, the wait staff were friendly and efficient, the drink options at the bar were wonderful and well priced.Ā <br/>I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough to anyone looking to hold a large (or small) function.Ā  I'm looking forward to my next trip to Melbourne so I'm able to visit this wonderful place again.

Great atmosphere with multiple sitting areas including indoor and outdoor. Delicious menu with a variety of starters mains and drinks (dessert list needs to be longer). Generous antipasto platter which is fresh, gourmet and delicious, pizzas are also very gourmet with a nice thin base.<br/>Easy access through Collins Place and parking is just next door. At times felt rushed by the waiter, I was waiting for friends to arrive and she was asking if I wanted to order while I wait.

Went here not expecting much. The place was pumping for a Sunday night. Booking a bit muddled, however they granted us our table outside. After a big day just did mains. I got a lamb, oil based pasta. It was nice. My wifeā€™s pizza tasted good, which it appears they are mor renowned for. There was no kids menu, however Harry polished off a main steak to their amazement. Even the chefs came out to see how big he was. Overall solid night. Next time will go a pizza for the true test
Livirz
Not quite sure what the hype is about. We ordered the ragu, risotto and chips. Everything was mediocre. The ragu was very oily, the risotto was very nutty because of the rocket and the chips were very average. The atmosphere was warm and cosy and the staff were attentive. It was quite easy to locate. Perhaps we should have tried the pizza? Was not overwhelmed.
Blueberrypie
Came for dinner and was placed at the balcony seat. The view was lovely and atmosphere was great. Attentive service and not too pushy. We ordered two 2 pastas, lamb ragu and seafood marinara. The pastas were very average and feel the it is a little overpriced for the quality. The cocktails were pretty good though.

Tazio was a great place to host our function, we did not hear one negative comment from our guests about our dining experience. The food was plentiful, the staff friendly and very accommodating to guests dietary requirements. We would definitely go back and happily recommend Tazio to friends. Thank you Tazio for a wonderful evening.

Had a fantastic dinner for my Hens Party. The service and food was excellent. They provided customised menuā€™s with my name on them and really catered for guests with dietary requirements. Highly recommended.

Pizzas came out in good time (and were great in general), the waiters made sure we had everything we needed and they were happy to seat us when we arrived quite a bit earlier than our reservation - so naturally the service was very good. <br/><br/>As nitpicky as this sounds, I think giving out sharper knives wouldn't go astray - mine was seriously blunt and it was really difficult to cut up the pizza. My hand had a serious workout! Normally I don't mind eating pizza with hands but sometimes when there are more toppings, it can get messy and you might prefer to use a knife and fork. Other than that, very pleasant meal.
Geah17
Lovely place! They squeezed us in without a reservation, and weā€™re really glad they did! The special pizza (pumpkin, cheese and Italian sausage) was to die for! Dessert was also lovely! The service was attentive and the meal was reasonably priced. Will definitely come back šŸ˜Š

A great experience -- Waitress Ana added that extra degree of hospitality for our guests from Brazil.Ā  Had the pizza and the wine recommendations were great as well

After checking the restaurant's page online and seeing the menu, I made a dinner reservation for 10 guests for my bday party at the restaurant. Originally made the booking for 5 guests, however, I called up the restaurant and asked them if I can amend the reservation and they said its fine and I appreciated that they were being flexible.Ā <br/><br/>On the night I arrived at the restaurant with a couple of guests and one waitress kindly directed us to our table that was nicely set up and I was pleasantly surprised. However, I kept getting messages from my other guests who said that they turned up to the restaurant and the waiter at the front said there was no reservation made under my name. I confirmed with them that I was at Tazio's and finally when they joined me they said "The waiter at the front was so unprofessional, he said to us there was no booking made under your name and after a while he said he was joking and asked us to go in and find the table".Ā <br/><br/>I immediately thought that maybe the waiter was joking and its fine as its just a little humour.Ā  However, when the rest of the group arrived they told me the same and they said that the waiter at the front was so rude. I felt quite bad as I was celebrating my bday dinner and did not want anyone to feel that way.<br/><br/>While we were finishing our meals, we noticed the staff packing up the other tables and constantly looking at us as if they wanted us to leave. This was mentioned to me by my guests a number of times. After we finished dinner we went to the counter and wanted to pay when the same waiter who was welcoming the guests into the restaurant told us that " we don'tĀ do split bills". I told him that when I made the reservation I specifically asked if the guests are able to split the bill and I was told that it was fine". Then he told me that he doesn't know where I heard it from and that he would give us the bill and I should get each guest to count their meal from the bill, add it up and then come to him to pay and he won't count the bill for us. My guests were very shocked with his attitude and his tone at this point in time they all gathered around to sort through the bill. Another waiter who was in the bar section saw this and kindly tried to help us but then the arrogant waiter yelled at him and said: " you don't need to be here you can go home".Ā  At this point in time, all my guests were annoyed with the way we were being treated that they just wanted to pay the bill without sorting through and get out of there as soon as possible. When we left the restaurant and went pass in the car we saw the arrogant waiter smoking outside the restaurant with two girls and we realised that all the time he just wanted to get rid of us so he can have a break.Ā <br/><br/>Utterly disgusted and disappointed with the service I received.Ā  Felt awfully embarrassed with the way my guests were treated at my bday dinner which every single guest noticed and would not recommend this place to anyone. Only giving a 1-star rating as the cocktails we ordered were great. If you plan to go to Tazio's for a work, professional or any other formal celebration with high expectations you are very likely to be utterly disappointed by SOME of the staff that work there.
Vi
My husband and I went here for an anniversary. The croquettes were delicious but the mains were a huge let down. My husband got the lamb ragu and I got a vegetarian pasta. I found there to be very limited (if not any) options for vegetarians at this place - regardless, the waiteress said she would organise a vegetarian pasta for me which was nice. However the pasta tasted watery, like someone put a cheap pasta sauce from Woolworths through it. Waiteress was lovely but the place seemed understaffed, and she seemed stressed when we stopped her to order drinks. I ordered a cocktail which had almost zero alcohol content. Overall, this was a disappointing experience.

Review:Ā <br/>Made a booking that we were running late for, so I gave them a call and they were understanding enough to let us push back our reservation for 20 minutes later! A+ for service, especially when they were so busy and packed during the after work hours.Ā <br/><br/>The views were stunning, especially from the upstairs balcony area. Overlooking the busy CBD, it's a calming experience to be up so high and casually dining while watching the city do its thing.Ā <br/><br/>We ordered the Pasta but there was a distinct lack of parmesan. Although extra parmesan would've been appreciated (in the form of a bowl on the side or however), the lamb ragu was not bad. Tender meat but focusing on its chunkiness, then focusing on winding the long pieces of pasta around your fork detracted from the dining experience.Ā <br/>Pizza was lacklustre. Although the individual aspects were great - the crunchy pizza base, the fresh rocket that wasn't overly bitter, there was really nothing combining the ingredients together. It seemed like they were in individual layers in the way that you could eat the parmesan, then the rocket then the prosciutto without disturbing the whole pizza base. I guess you could consider it a 'light' pizza.Ā <br/><br/>The service is definitely the best aspect of this place. Friendly, helpful servers (they were willing to charge my friend's phone by lending her a powerpoint), the food isn't quite hitting it home for me. Thankfully, we had our entertainment voucher which gave us the cheaper of the two mains as complementary! :)Ā <br/><br/>Ordered:Ā <br/>Pasta: Lamb ragu with pappardelle pasta & parmesan (g*) ($26.50)<br/>Zandon pizza: Napoli sauce, fior di latte, fresh prosciutto, shaved Grand Pandano parmesan and rocket (g*) ($20.50)

saturday night in the city was good not to cold not to hot. we decided to go to Tazio and give them a try. Service was impeccable and that is my reason for a 4. Food I was a bit disappointed pizza base that not taste like a pizza remind me pizza hut 20 years ago, topping was nice we had the salmon pizza and pizza with meatballs and caramelise onion. Potato croquette way too small and over cook. Semifreddo was ok.

Had my sons 21st birthday function on the balcony upstairs. Ā The food, venue set up and communication prior to event with Maggie and Ray was excellent. Staff on the night were friendly, helpful and very efficient. A very successful party overrall. Thank you.

Consistently delivering quality pizzas. My favourite is the smoked salmon pizza with dill dressing.<br/>Crusts are always perfect.<br/>Highly recommended.

Came here a few days ago for a leaving lunch (have been multiple times before as well).<br/><br/>The calamari was excellent - well seasoned, cooked perfectly and the olives and capers were a surprising and delicious accompaniment!<br/>The prawn pizza was a bit disappointing - the crust doesn't seem house-made and resembles a "thin and crispy" crust you might get from a fast food pizza place. The toppings, however, were decent. The spice from the chilli was perfect and the prawns were well cooked.<br/>The waiter was attentive, polite and had a great sense of humour!

Booked in for a work function for about 120 people and Tazio were great hosts!! We had the upstairs area which was very inviting and great ambiance. Food was plentiful and delish!Ā <br/>We hired a DJ so tables were cleared away to make room for a dance floor. All in all it was a super fun night everyone was pleased with the hosting, drinks and food. Ray was incredibly helpful and fast in getting back to our inquiries - keep up the good work!

Went with a group of 16 people for my mates birthday. Each one of us loved the ambiance, food and service at Tazio. <br/><br/>We ordered variety of pizzas, pastas and salads and each one of them was as delicious as the rest. <br/><br/>The wait staff were also really attentive, quick and very accommodating. I asked if they could make one of the pastas veg and they very happily did. <br/><br/>At the end, we sang happy birthday for our mate and the kind staff offered her a free tequila shot! šŸ’ Really kind gesture :)<br/><br/>P.S I will like to give Tazio +.5 for facilitating split bills! Great work guys! Keep up!

Tazio never disappoints. Great food, great ambience, the staff were also very attentive and friendly. Overall, will definitely visit again for the food and also for a hang out place.
Cookielessvee
A nice rustic Australian-Italian setting place with attentive staff. Amazing croquettes. Crispy with a soft flavoursome inner. Pizza is decent, though the base is thin and soggy with a crispy crust. Loved the pasta, cooked to perfection and the sauce was aromatic.

Booked a private function at Tazio on the outside balcony. The events planner, Ray was very accommodating to our needs. The food and the friendly staff made our night ! Couldn't thank the team at Tazio enough for such a great evening! Highly recommend for your next event!

Located in flinders lane, tazio delivered tasty modern Australian cuisines. Just a tad expensive. Staff were friendly and attentive.<br/>Only downfall is that the atmosphere isnā€™t comforting. <br/>Take your lover, friends and family here if you canā€™t get a table elsewhere in flinders lane.

Honestly can't lie but say that pizza here is mouth-wateringly great! The smoked salmon in the pizza we ordered was fresh and smooth, stepped out of my comfort zone trying semi-raw fish but had a good experience. Ernesta pizza was my go-to pizza with mushrooms and was superb. However, despite the tip-top pizzas, the chips were quite dry and service was underwhelming. We were told to sit anywhere we wanted but got moved as the 'reserved' guests wanted to sit there after when there was no sign that the table was reserved. As well, food took a while to come and came after guests that ordered after us. The plate that I was given was still oily and I had to wipe it down. Staff were not as friendly also.
