Food:
We ordered the mushroom dish, and the hot cake dish. Both were amazing to the point my friend and I had to share both of ours cause we kept wanting to eat each other's food.
Service:
The waiters and waitresses were all very friendly and attentative. Overall service was great.
Entry:
I went with a friend of mine and perhaps it was because we went in the morning, but when we arrived we were very confused at how the restaurant operated - if we had to wait at the entrance, walk straight in (but how far in), etc. We ended up walking in too far because there was no sign telling us where to wait, and no waiters/waitresses told us otherwise so we kept walking in and then had to do the walk of shame back when we realised we went too far haha.
Overall:
This restaurant serves up amazing food at your standard cafe/restaurants prices. I would definitely come back here and eat again as the atmosphere and food were equally amazing.
This place is a summer vibe! The eatery have a mixture of outdoor and under-cover areas with seats along the gorgeous Melbourne Yarra. Family friendly, intimate, small or big groups. You order food and drinks at the bar and food came out in a timely manner.
Kingfish crudo was nice, fresh and well-balanced. Smoked salmon roe and fried potato cakes was such a tasty snack; light and quite generous with the fish roe. Lobster roll had plenty of lobster, marinated very well, too well that I felt the mayonnaise was a little too much that it can be quite sickening, a dash of lemon/lime would have been nice, the bun was soft and lightly toasted and I personally didn’t think it needed the potato crisps but delish compared to other lobster rolls I’ve had. Chips with pecorino, YUM, I love a good truffle kick, can’t go wrong with hot chips, truffled cheese and plenty of it!
Would definitely be back!
I can't say I've come to Arbory before for the food... but I was glad I did!
Ordered:
🍔 Crumbed Mushroom & Halloumi burger (v): tomato relish & crinkle cut ($19.00)
Review:
Toasted bun, crispy green lettuce, a delicate cut of melted halloumi cheese and juicy moist earthy mushroom. I loved the melted halloumi cheese; such a fresh concept that I hope to see more of!
The crinkle chips were incredibly crispy, salty and were so fun to eat.
Considering the meal is at arbory, there are good vibes and easy access to alcohol if you're inclined.
Since it's in an open space, my advice would be: be aware of less than sunny weather.
Breakfast here is really tasty. But, there were multiple hairs in my meal which was really off putting. The staff are decent but not overly friendly.
Best BEST Mushroom Burger in Melbourne. My MOST favourite bar in Melbourne. Go-to place!
Love, love, LOVE everything about the Arbory. Only have the best feedback everytime we visit and we visit often. It’s the perfect spot to meet for after work drinks, lazy weekend lunches, midweek dinners, nightcaps and celebrations. We take all our traveller friends here the moment they land in Melbourne and its always a hit. The team know what they’re doing with everything they’re doing and they’re doing a lot. Highlights include the hotdogs, salads, charcuterie boards, espresso martinis and many more.
Stumbled upon this place unexpectedly and I literally fell in love with it! Best ambience (with a beautiful river view). The food was delicious! Gonna come back to try the burgers for sure! The drinks and service was 💯. New fav hangout place❤️
Good food and drinks, fantastic view and ambience. We went in winter but were kept warm by the heaters. Got the mushroom risotto and calamari - both were really well done and generous portions. The view of the yarra river was so gorgeous as well.
Seriously, what's not to love about Arbory. It's a Melbourne institution, and a must visit if you are from out of town. We come here all the time, especially when the weather is good because drinks and nibbles with a view of the Yarra and Southbank isn't a bad way to spend an afternoon. A bar that runs alongside Flinders Station on one side, and the river on the other, it really is a concept that is well done.
This place gets packed. Even though there are heaps of tables, and also stools along the edge, it's often standing room. The vibe is electric, especially at night when the dj spins some tunes. It's even pleasant in winter as there are plenty of outdoor heaters. Drinking under the stars is so much fun.
The bar is centrally located and you also order your food there. The menu has lots of share plates and some pub classics too. We usually just grab a few things to share. The truffle cheese fries are delicious as is the hummus plate. The drinks are great too, and it's a lovely spot for a spritz or two.
The staff are always bubbly and friendly, even though they are kept on their toes, which also adds to the pleasant experience. With such a fabulous vibe, Arbory is one of our favourite destinations and one we return to again and again.
Honestly one of my favourite bars in Melbourne!Nothing sounds better to me than sitting by the Yarra River, drink in hand and some small plates in front of me!
The cocktails are amazing, a little pricey but nothing surprising for where it's situated. The warm Winter cocktails are a lovely addition to the menu!
This venue is outstanding and utterly unique. The views of Southbank are superb, but it can get quite busy - so finding a seat can sometimes be difficult. Really the only reason for the 4 and not 5, is because I have definitely been places with nicer staff members - it's not every time I go, but it's enough to be a pattern. I get that they are busy, but a smile and manners go a long way :)Would still recommend checking it out (if you haven't already), p.s. the margarita pizza is great too!
Visited for Pork & Pinot (Noir) - or in my case Risotto & Pinot (Grigio). I visited on a very chilly night but stayed cosy thanks to heaters and fires and blankets and some delicious, warm cocktails. I tried the macadamia matcha option which was creamy and sweet but not overly so with a good hit of alcohol. The apple and spiced rum cocktail served in a tea pot was even more stout and incredibly delicious. For a main, I enjoyed a dish of mushroom risotto paired with my dry white wine. I was expecting a pretty cheesy and oily dish but was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't either of these things. The toppings were fresh and the dish left me feeling light yet appropriately full. I highly recommend if for vegetarians visiting Arbory this winter.
Nice river side bar to hangout specially during dinner time. There food menu not big, but have some good dishes to try with wine or without
Specially cauliflower out standing with coriander lime sauce.
Hope as a walking you can get table, because it has big cover capacity.
I always love coming to Arbory. There is something super relaxing about being next to the water. There is a wide selection of drinks, all made impeccably, and the food I’ve tried from here and Arbory Float has all been great. Even in winter, it isn’t too cold because they have really good heaters. Highly recommend Arbory for a drink all year round.
Came here for lunch with a friend on a sunny day. Such a lovely atmosphere, really let’s you see Melbourne at its best (lunch by the Yarra with an aperol spritz on hand). Food is also delicious - there are lots of veggie options for those interested.
Great venue and awesome food. Great location right on the Yarra so it’s wonderful to take friends and visitors- always a good spot for that. Will keep coming. 😋
It was a glorious Sunday evening in Melbourne and we were off to a concert tonight so called into Arbory Bar and Eatery for a couple of drinks. Although still busy this was the first time we were actually able to get a table straight up without our usual wait and pounce. I had house bourbon while Kellie enjoyed a four pillars gin and tonic. Great for people watching and a brilliant outdoor venue. We’ve been her a number of times over the years and while it can be hard to get a table the atmosphere never disappoints.
The setting is awesome but that's where the quality stops. Very average food & rude indifferent bar staff, it took 15 mins for us to order food at the bar, not because they were busy but because they ignored us & served younger patrons who arrived after us. We asked repeatedly if we could order & staff just walked away. Apparently being over 60 is some sort of crime at Arbory. Will never go there again despite the setting.
Excellent mix of fresh and pickled flavors with creamy dressing and the crunch of a good shell crab. Highly recommend for a lovely meal. The staff there are pretty chilled out and helpful so that was a positive experience. The view is so nice as well. I really quite enjoyable and filling here. I will certainly be returning again!
Very busy place on a friday night! The staff there are pretty chilled out and helpful so that was a positive experience. The view is lovely from this spot being right on Yara River. I will certainly be returning again when summer rolls back in. Great spot to come with friends and coworkers when in the city, great selection of drinks as well.
Great vibes, perfect location, great atmosphere!
The views are amazing at night time and they always have good music playing!
The food and drinks are nice and the set up is excellent.
Good spot to meet friends.
Downsides: the music is that loud, you can’t hear anyone speak, you literally have to scream in people’s ears. Also, the staff aren’t very attentive or friendly.
A girlfriend and I came here recently for after work Fri drinks. The place was buzzing!
At times the speakers were quite loud, we couldn't hear each other talk. Mix of music was good and there were some real quirky dancers that came around, they were awesome.
Aperol spritz was refreshing and the burger and calamari we shared good. I was concerned how the food would be after reading some mixed reviews, no complaints from my end. Food, drinks and ambiance were all great.
Not cheap but such a fantastic way to treat yourself. The chips with truffle was delicious. Cherry blossom spritz was also a wonderful drink to have in the melb sun.
Very nice view with amazing drinks and food.
We did try almost all of the small plates in the menu and all of them were really yummy.
I do recommend this place.
Had a great night there with a mate recently on a warm Friday evening. The place was heaving but service was fast and the food is excellent! Much better than it was when I visited 18 months ago! Try the Zucchini Flowers! Good selection of drinks on offer as well. Will be back soon to check out Afloat next door which looks awesome!
Went back to the Arbory a couple of Fridays ago for the first time in over a year. Since the last time, the food has improved out of sight! They've really put a lot of effort into improving the menu and it really shows. Service was also faster than in previous visits. Will be back again sooner than last time!
Rated 3.5stars
Was at the afloat a week before and this week managed go get a table for 12 with colleague's. They only do bookings up to 4pm but we managed to request for 4.30pm so early drink it was before dinner.
Very busy afterwork. Expect to line up for foods and drinks and wait. No mocktails though 🙃😞😫
Food wise foods are good. Southern fried chicken and chip was a good generous size. Likewise was the truffle fries. We ordered 2 and one was overcooked and bit too salty. Fried chicken was tasty but tiny bit too sweet.
Overall good experience. Good vibe ans right next to the station score!
will continue to come because :
- Amazing service every time. Bar staff are friendly and efficient.
- Great vibes.
- Seasonal cocktail and food menu.
My favourite place in Melbourne, hands down! Highly recommend going here. It’s so nice and people are nice and everything is just fabulous!!
Favourite stop on the river for a drink, whether its in the sun, after work stop off or after dark awaiting the train home Arbory is full of atmosphere the drinks are flowing & the music pumping.
Food is good here too if you was something to nibble on or a burger it has it all.
See you soon Arbory.
Very busy place on a Friday night, we come here after work to find the place packed full of happy and cheerful guests.. All wanting to have a beer after a long week, drinks were reasonable for a bar.. food was pretty scrumptious..
One thing that we noticed was that around 8pm the place starts to quite down a bit..
Good place for drinks and some quick snacks before dinner! View was beautiful too..
PROS
Hommus with flatbread and dukkah is delicious, croquets worthwhile and by the glass wine list is very good. The labneh is no long on the online menu but im hoping this is an error coz it was devine! Nice outdoor area next to the water
CONS
Better tales for outside so glasses dont wobble as much. Either way I'm going back 😁😁
FYI
Located below flinders street station and next to the Yarra. On a windy day just watch out for your wine glass 😯
Edit: Tried the soft shell crab salad - yummo! Awesome mix of fresh and pickled flavours with creamy dressing and the crunch of a good soft shell crab. Highly recommended for a lovely spring time meal!
I came here for lunch one day and ordered the double cheeseburger. I found that it was a really great burger and chip combo for $18 with a soft juicy patty, thick cut homemade tasting chips, and HEAPS of sauce. Really quite enjoyable and filling.
The staff there are pretty chilled out and helpful so that was a positive experience. I did however come at a very quiet time so I am uncertain as to how the staff would manage with a full house.
The view is lovely from this spot being right on Yarra River. Unfortunately I came on a rainy day and as it is an outdoor spot - winter visits may not be absolutely ideal! Rest assured there are covered areas and outdoor heaters set up around the place to keep you toasty.
I will certainly be returning again when summer rolls back in. Great spot to come with friends and coworkers when in the city, great selection of drinks as well.
Would definitely recommend (with summer conditions).
A reliable pub with nice view over Melbourne waterline and the Yarra. The great thing is it’s open til late. Both food menu and drinks list are solid. There are a great selection of choices for things to eat. From snacks to mains if you’re after a proper meal. I love the Arancini here. Wine on tap selection is also quite decent. Friday nights however can be quite a nightmare to get in. Thursday night after 8pm however is a breeze to find an empty table. Food service can be a bit slow though.
Great music, great view, great vibes all round. Perfect for some burgers and a drink or two. It also keeps very warm during winter, which is lovely.
Only downside is that it’s almost always super busy, so it can get kind of annoying trying to find seats.
Priced at a mere $25 per person, diners can enjoy a roast and glass of wine pairing all throughout winter. June saw the hero-ing of pork, while beef and lamb take centre stage this month and next respectively, with the cuts/dishes also changing on a weekly basis. During our visit a few weeks ago, we were served a very generous serving of tender Bourbon Glazed Pork Ribs accompanied by some velvety smooth potato mash, crispy parsnip chips, Bourbon BBQ sauce and a glass of Nocton Pinot Noir. I repeat, $25.
You can’t go past this place if you’re looking for a veggie burger!
I’ve been coming here for my mushroom and haloumi burger and it is that damn goooood!
Pair it with a beer on tap and you’re good to go for the rest of the evening. You can’t get enough of the great vibes as well.
However, the service can be found wanting and if they can sort that out, they will be untouchable
Went there on a sat night, service of food was pretty dam quick. The double cheesy was a realy winner. $18 will get your a double cheesy and chips. Walked away really happy.
WONDERFULLLLLLL!
We ordered Bloody Mary, Sweet & Innocent and a Long Island ice tea last night. Also some chips and a lobster roll.
Really recommend!!!!!!!!!!!
😆😆
First time here - certainly won't be the last! Fast service, great drinks list and oh the food. Visited with 3 friends & we all scoffed our meals. Mushroom burger, beetroot tart, calamari, chick pea chips & cauliflower croquette - all delicious. With some great music & a lovely view it was a lovely Autumn lunch. Only gripe....gee the seats are high for short people! 😂
Fabulous combination of food, location, drinks and socialising. Its the kind of place you ask someone to come to when you want a nice mixture between casual and formal. Great venue for a drink, and dinner before heading off to start a night. The woodfired pizzas are reasonable in price and taste great!
Best to try the lobster roll! Its a great place to hang out after work especially if you want that "just 1 drink" after a long day at work. It's clean, has peroni on tap and chips! Just hate that they let so many people in the ones inside are shoulder to shoulder at times.
This place is popular that completing a review is almost a redundant exercise. The location, the food, the drinks, all work harmoniously together to create what will soon be, if not already, an icon bar of Melbourne.
Simple idea 💡 great view and fantastic drinks the perfect place for pre drinks if you’re tired of the Transport or meeting before the game! Bring a coat in winter ❄️ it’s going to be chilly! (The next day tee shirt and 👖, this is melbourne people!)

Arbory is fast becoming a Melbourne institution! If I’m in the CBD for drinks on a warm evening, there’s no other place I’d rather be. The drinks are always good and fairly reasonably priced. If you’re coming on a busy night be sure to get there early because it fills up very quickly!
Awesome chicken burgers that I have tasted. The chicken is hot and crispy, not your typical greasy burgers! I like how the lettuce were chopped up finely. I was shocked with the crinkle cut chips because they were much crispier than I expected. I love how you have the option of sitting on the float or against the station. Also the drinks were great! Would recommend 👍
been here few times, i love the location just next to flinder street station, after a drinks with friends n i can go home by train straight away haha
Had the lobster roll and H O L Y M O L Y ! So well balanced and tasty. Can smash these babies for days. Lovely joint, only downside is it can be sardines.

There is no way I could do justice to the photos but Arbory is gorgeous!
Only went there for some after work drinks on a weekday. Got the chickpea chips and some crinkle cuts. Both tastes great!
Love the Arbory Bar, especially when it’s not too busy. The location is just gorgeous, perfect place to meet up with friends and colleagues. Nice first stop for a night out in the city or for a Sunday Sessions. Food is really nice and staff is friendly
Came here the other night! Awesome place for some food and drinks. I ordered the lamb shank as well as the crinkle cut chips. The chips are crunchy and really tasty and the lamb shank was very nice as well.
It's a great place to bring a large group of friends - I've also been here for another occasion for a 21st. There is a large selection of wines and cocktails as well. Highly recommend!
Great for drinks and taking friends there that aren’t from Melbourne cause the Natural surroundings by the River, definitely be back for after work drinks
Visited the eatery as well as the afloat. The eatery have the most delicious truffle chips (I believe they use truffle oil).
At the pop up afloat, my friends and I tried the Margherita, the calosa, the antipasti platter and fries. The Margherita was quite good, but not as good as somewhere like Gradi. The calosa’s blue cheese wasn’t evenly distributed around the pizza so it could get overwhelming at times. The fries were cooked well
I ordered the pomegranate g&t, which quickly became my favourite drink ever. It has the right amount of bitterness and the tonic was most refreshing.
Fantastic for drinks on a lovely day. Unexpectedly long and stylish bar and eatery located between Flinders St station and the Yarra River. Good drinks of offer. My Negroni was a beauty, the on tap expresso martini was a cracker and the pale ales went down well. Impressive place, a return is inevitable. This might have replaced Clocks as a good place to throw a drink down and still make your train.
Came across this place not too long ago so decided to come in for a drink, ended up having some food as well. Love the location, it’s super busy but the staff are very attentive and get the job done.
Came to arbory afloat which was so cool! We got a nice day bed and could sit and watch the river with a glass of wine. Service was good and quick despite being busy
Gotta say I’m a fan. Great atmosphere on the top bar. On a nice sunny Melbourne day you get the feeling you’re sitting amongst the tree branches and the greenery with beautiful vistas of the Yarra in front of you. Nice place to wile the day away with a cold one.
Arbory afloat is also a nice proposition, again the weather needs to be near perfect to enjoy this Mediterranean inspired bar. Sun lounges and waterfront seating make this the perfect spot to lose the afternoon without a care.
Very cool place - if you can get a seat! Arbory gives you a beautiful view of Melbourne, and is a great place to take visitors. The drinks at Arbory are nice although I was a little sad to see they didn't have the Chandon sparkling last time I went! Cocktails are nice but pretty exxy. The food is really tasty - particularly the truffle pecorino chips!! The chips are crinkle cut and such a novelty - reminds me of when I was little. Service is touch and go, sometimes I've had decent bartenders and sometimes they haven't been great. All in all I like Arbory, its a great place for an after work drink and a chinwag, particularly in the warmer weather :-)
Great inner city relaxed bar vibe throughout summer! It is weather dependent however, but it's a great central spot for Friday afternoon drinks!
The perfect venue for some after work drinks and food. It's not exactly cheap but you are paying for the atmosphere and view which is amazing! Service is great and always pretty quick considering how busy they get.

After a day of shopping in the city we stop to have a drink at Arbory on the Yarra River. Fantastic sunny day lots of people and nice refreshing drink to choose from. Nice Melbourne view as well.
* Atmosphere: 4/5
* Food: 4.5/5
* Recommended dish: New England Lobster Roll
* Service: N/A
We were seated near the waters and with a sunny day, it was the perfect place to have lunch with a couple of friends. The lobster roll wwas mouth-wateringly delicious - succulent creamy lobster pieces on a garlic and buttery toasted bun.
I only tried the lobster roll, but my friends tried the other burgers which were apparently average.

While visiting Melbourne for our anniversary (which happens to be on Christmas Day and usually leaves with few good choices), I happened to look up places last minute on Google which were open late night and Arbory was one of the very few with our choice of food, serving till 1Am, Voila!
Overlooking Yarra and lighting up the trees along their boundary in Red and Green, our spirits were instantly lifted up. Their staff consisted of all courteous and happy people, right from the gates to waiters and at the bar.
The food was brilliant too - we ordered Pita Bread/Hummus and Arancini (only two items from the shared plate menu as we had been eating our way through the day). Their hummus had a distinct flavor and both dishes came with a great portion size, at probably $11-13 range - way bigger and cheaper than places in Sydney city. Also our coke and Lemon Lime Bitters were perfectly fizzy and we thankfully didn't have to return them (which we end up doing at most places serving on-tap drinks and not canned/bottled).
I cannot give any less than 5 stars to a place which had everything I want in a place - good food, perfect ambience and music and super value for money!!
Came here for a quick drink and burger. The burgers were surprisingly delicious! They also came out really quick. We got the chicken and the fish burger. Fish burger was the standout, however the chicken burger was equally delicious. This is the best place on a sunny day.
The arbory afloat bar is the best place to hang out on a lovely sunny afternoon. The Gin and Tonics were so tasty and so big!! Could drink it all day. Definitely recommend
Came here for lunch on a lovely Friday afternoon. Ordered the salmon which was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked! Awesome place to catch us
After a wonderful experience on their (summer special) floating bar and restaurant (adjacent to their actual place) @this has become one of our favs to hangout.
What we simply Love drinking here is Pimms, Mai Tai, Sangria and Aperol Spritz. Another nice thing about this forever buzzing place is the vibe.....An ideal place to enjoy music or chit-chat over drinks (since the music isn't as loud as is the case with other places like Arbory).
We have tried 2 or 3 dishes (don't remember the names) from their 'Smaller' list and weren't too impressed.
Looking forward to having their burgers, and other interesting cocktails and wines listed on their menu.
Service is friendly & fast. Not expensive but isn't easy on pocket....Quite average yet worth it since they don't do cocktails for the sake of selling them cheap.
When the view is so beautiful it doesn't really matter what you eat.still the food is on point. Little nibbles and the burgers and very yum. Love the mushroom burger.
Staff is very friendly.i had this young girl who help me to escort my friends from other side of bar while I was holding a table.
Had a relaxed lunch here today in the ‘summer’ weather! We arrived and grabbed a table - asked for the heater to be turned on which it was.
Menus are on the table and once you decide what you want- you head to the bar to tell staff your selection. Your drinks are ordered here as well and you can take them with your table number.
Water, cutlery and condiments are help yourself next to the bar. Food arrived promptly and we enjoyed our bubbles along with salt and pepper octopus and prosciutto with grilled peaches, Gorgonzola and crisp bark. The meals were very good but probably not big enough for lunch if you’re a big eater like me. Next time will try one of the larger plates.
Nice vibe, reasonable price, nice food but nothing really surprising,, but the dressing on American sausage thou is amazing.. Chips on point. Overall is worth for the price

Come for the atmosphere, stay for the double cheeseburger. These guys do a pretty good cheeseburger. All the flavours were right and the beef melts in your mouth perfectly. Good simple combination of the right sauces, pickles, beef and 2 kinds of cheese. What a great job. Shame about the chicken burger, it's not terrible but definitely not up to the standard that the cheeseburger is.
Nice spot on the river, great shade from the trees and a bustling friendly vibe. Great wasting options, the lobster role, fries and lamb cutlet were highlights, and the burgers look really good. All washed down with one of their refreshing spritzers. Great spot for a lunch on a warm days.
Very cool set up! Friendly service serving nice spritz and red wine. Always busy hard to find a spot to sit even it’s that big. But it looks over the Yarra so I always want to come back and catch up with friends here
Not the best burger but it's on the average.
Like the mushroom burger and a bit sad that they dont do the truffle cheese on the side chip... even im happy to pay for it.
The chicken burger is a bit tasteless for me.
Not much sauce and chicken was a bit dry.
However, nice view and staffs are nice.
As for location, this place is amazing! Bordering flinders street station and the Yarra river it’s a long narrow bar with beautiful views of the bridges, the arts centre, glistening water and Southbank. The only downside is that it gets so so full! If you don’t like crowds you may walk in and walk right back out again, but it’s worth a visit. They also have a temporary floating bar over the summer. So cool!!
Had the chicken burger and chips with a beer. It was decent, not too greasy or
Salty and flavoursome. Great spot on a nice day only issue is the pigeons that hang out there.
Love everything about Arbory. Love the location, great views, friendly relaxed staff and love the drinks and food. I've been here a few times for a quick coffee on my own before a catch up, with friends and I've been here for work meetings. Recently I've been into ice coffees, they are the best here, no frills or I've cream on top. Coffee, milk, ice.
One of those places where headache inducing music is played despite the fact that no one is dancing and everyone is trying to hold a conversation.
Perhaps you know Arbory as the longest bar in Melbourne- spanning the equivalent of the entire length of a platform at Flinders street station. Perhaps you know Arbory as ‘that bar right by the river’, or perhaps you even know it as that bar that does Espresso Martinis on tap (yes you read that right!), but what you may not know is that Arbory serves up some excellent food as well to go alongside the drinks and the view. I’ve visited on many a occasion for an afterwork drink and even breakfast once, but in this post I’ll be documenting the food I ordered with some friends on lazy Sunday lunch.
Loved the atmosphere here. Great view of southbank and the Yarra. The barman that served us was very funny and nice. The music was good and the drinks were very reasonably priced, about $9.50 for a gin and tonic. Went on a Friday night so was naturally busy but service was pretty quick. Would definitely recommend for after work drinks.
Everyone comes here for the drinks, but they've got pretty decent food too!
Love their fries! Can't wait to be back and try the rest of the menu.
Great atmosphere, and food was tasty. The food was a bit overpriced for the quantity, though, in my opinion. Maybe this was just down to what we ordered lobster roll and lettuce 'salad.' Was also very busy at 5pm on Monday, and we had to share a table with another couple.
But still a positive experience!
10/10 for atmosphere.
One of the most hyped and happening place in Melbourne CBD, especially when the Arbory Afloats is available. Located just between Flinders Street Station and Yarra River, Arbory offers a chill atmosphere for hanging out and grabbing some foods and drinks.
The Arbory Afloats is a floating extension of the Arbory and it provides a unique experience for the diners. Really really love the concept. We went there to grab some drinks and snacks in the afternoon. The view is spectacular, however the place gets packed quickly and it is hard to find seats if you're traveling with a group.
Panda
Amazing view and concept
Wide selection of drinks
Live and vibrant atmosphere
Pomegranate mojito is a must try!
Pandont
Food was okay, nothing special at all.
The calamari is inconsistent and too salty
Service is slow during peak hours
A couple of times, the staff forgot what we ordered
If you're looking for a place to chill and hang out with your friends while enjoying a nice view, Arbory is the place to go. I will come back to this place because of the view and drinks, but not for the foods.
Where else would you go to when the weather is so good for outdoor. So arbory is the answer. Was there in the afternoon it was full but luckily we manage to find a table. I always like the concept of find your own table and order at the bar counter. The service was spot on.
Was actually planning to go to arbory afloat but couldn’t find any available sit so we settle for arbory bar and eatery which I believe is equally relaxing and beautiful view. On side note afloat do serve different menu.
Tried their duck breast, leg croquettes, peach, spring onion, peach chutney and radish. The duck breast was cook to perfection.. still pink.. and the skin is crispy and the other elements works well with each other. A refreshingly hearty delicious meal.
Was surprise how kid friendly it was. Just avoid sitting near the speakers. But if you have pram you might need to come from Southbank, as route/entrance from Elizabeth St and Swanston St have staircase. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Will be back.
Love coming here for lunch and drinks or after work snack and drinks, especially in summer. The atmosphere is casual, friendly and vibrant. Food is better than I expected, especially loved the flat bread and lobster roll.
Very nice vibe. The King fish cevice was very good and well presented. Nice house music. If you re solo you can eat and drink at the high tables facing the river.
Convenient location with nice atmosphere. Food was good. The carpaccio was a very generous serving. Cocktails aren't bad. A little overpriced but expected considering the location.
Beautiful spot to stop and have lunch. Literally right next to Flinders St station. Friendly staff. Wide variety of drinks. Burgers are super delicious, very crunchy yummy chips and orders come out quickly. Can’t beat the view of picturesque Melbourne and the Yarra.
Great place if you want to grab drinks with friends. Even better if its a sunny day. Don't expect great service, can't blame the staff either its usually packed :)
Love this place for a quick drink! Great views of the river, so accessible and beautiful. I had the spiced cider, perfect for a cold Melbourne afternoon!
Food is ok but it's mainly for the view and location. Drinks are awesome. Staff are great as well they catered to all our needs.. very kind.
