I have no idea who mans the grill here, but Boy, can they grill meat. Succulent, soft, flavoursome meats, and sides to die for. Come, eat, enjoy.
Busy as anything, but they found us a table and delivered one of the best pizzas I've had. Even though it had olives on it (which we don't like), when we chopped them up a bit it was very tasty. It was called Diavolo (Spanish for 'devil') after the chillies on it, but they were pretty mild.
Lovely staff and amazingly quick service for such a busy time.
Thank you so much Teatro and the very helpful young waiter who made sure we were in and out in a very short period of time. Delicious food and the best service we could have hoped for. It made our sensational night at Hamer Hall that much better.
We thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks 🍸 last night the food was delicious, staff very good. Definitely going to dine here again
The welcome by the staff was fantastic. Bright and friendly people ensured our visit was enjoyed. We had the Paella and a glass of Shiraz, and the servings were generous and very tasty. Great place for a sunny and relaxing lunch. Thank you Teatro
Great food! Great service! Except for the ambient lighting is abit dark and have weird blue tone at the corner area.
I couldn't recommend this place enough if I tried, food fantastic but service outstanding, every time we went they deliver beyond and above. Your experience and dinning is made. Thank you
Pizza was amazing service top notch
Definitely recommend it
loved it
Perfect place for fantastic food, quality coffee, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere! Whatever you order, highly recommend pairing it with a red sangria :) will definitely be visiting again and again!
Amazing vibes here and beautiful water side views as you dine! Their seafood selection is amazing and I highly recommend trying their oysters and seafood paella which is absolutely loaded with seafood! Their service is amazing and the staff are very friendly. Would visit again.
Fo0die dined as a guest of Teatro and as such, the rating does not give any consideration to customer service.
We dined on a Friday night and the venue was bustling. Situated just on the banks of the river, tables in the outdoor area allow you to enjoy the river while still being undercover with electric heaters overhead when it gets cool.
The open kitchen was busy with lots of shouting as dishes were ready to be served; this added to the atmosphere of the venue.
Teatro is a Spanish restaurant where sharing meals is at the forefront of what brings people together and that is exactly what the venue's menu offers. A bunch of tapas style dishes, perfect for sharing and larger dishes which are also designed to be shared.
We enjoyed four tapas and a main between the two of us. The seafood was fresh, flavours went well together in the scallops, prawn and paella dishes (these were the favourites of the ones we tried).
We were also fortunate enough to meet chef Miki and his enthusiasm and passion for food is evident as soon as we spoke to him.
If you are looking for that perfect bit of Mediterranean paradise in Melbourne? Head down to the heart of Melbourne by the Yarra and you will find this stunning restaurant. They have an Mediterranean inspired menu, that will make you feel like you’re back in Europe!
We enjoyed the Anchovies on toast with eggplant mousse, calamari, salt and cod croquettes, the most crispy chicken, Spanish sausage (with boozy grapes) and the most amazing paella! Highly recommend also getting the dessert!
I love the place by the yarra. The service here is on point. If you are after some good wood fried pizza and sangria this is a must. Well priced
This place make the best seafood paella and their dishes are top notch! Chef Miki is such an amazing chef and the staff in general were amazing. I highly recommend this place if you are after a good quality meal with awesome service!
’Terrific Teatro’
Wanted to have a light lunch along the picturesque Southbank and stumbled into this place & what a Mediterranean delight it was. Tapas style food, simple yet very delicious, and topped with great service it was a highlight of the day.
We had the Croquettes filled with salt cod, potato, dill & chives which was beautifully cooked, crispy on the outside and soft inside.
Their pork belly sliders were amazing with the the right bun used (and not that sweet one that most use!). The cabbage, apple & jalapeño mayo did the trick as a perfect combo.
You got have some Greens on the side and their proper roasted Asparagus dipped in romesco sauce & toasted almonds was A1.
Desert time, and you can’t go without trying their Churros and their home made Spanish cheesecake which for me was the better out of the two. This was topped off with some Chandon Rose.
Definitely would be back for more!
I would give a 5* for it’s happening location. And best crowd over the weekend . I love the friendly staff looking after us through out ur dining there . Loved the food, tried fresh buffalo mozzarella with some fresh cherry tomatoes and fried onion and crispy bread as a starter ,which was just so so DELICIOUS, and coming to main course had a wood fire veggie pizza which was SUPER DELICIOUS. I would definitely recommend this place for a great evening and good food and drinks.
This place is great! Amazing location along the Southbank promenade. The food is tasty and the service is amazing. Our waitress was so attentive and kind. We had the tagliatelle and rocket sale and thoroughly enjoyed.
Part of the Southbank complex and next door to the much admired Saké. An early dinner on a hot summer evening with a table overlooking the Yarra which was teeming with rowing crews going through their training.
The food is casual and mixes Spanish with Italian. A nice plate of San Danielle with buffalo mozzarella, followed by a plate of blisteringly hot garlic prawns straight out of the oven on a hot plate. Pizzas were excellent and the pastry crisp and Smokey. Icy cold drought beers and mineral water as the evening temperature was still in the low 30’s. Friendly service made for a lovely evening.
Food wise....Nothing exceptional here.....just tasty food, well executed and made for an enjoyable evening.
Visited this restaurant as my family and I wanted to have a nice dinner along the Southbank. We liked how there was a tapas menu option or you could pick individual dishes. I had the pork belly which was served with Dutch carrots and was super tender and tasty. My parents both had a pizza which they really enjoyed. We also shared some side dishes of white bean hummus which came with focaccia bread and anchovies with crisp bread.
Ever since my contiki tour group visited the best bar in Marrakesh named Teatro, I wanted to do a catch-up in the Melbourne version of Teatro. It's no nightclub with metallic costumed men and robots dancing in a room with neon glow and large disco balls, but rather a waterfront bar and restaurant that boasts a menu which is a medley of Moroccan, Spanish and Italian cuisine. Though it has vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options, these options do not embody the Moroccan or Spanish essence as Moroccans love their chicken and lamb, and Spanish love their jambon (ham). The prices in Teatro are definitely tourist prices as the 1-2 euros I paid per tapa in Madrid/Granada are inflated to 3.5-18 AUD in Teatro. As such my fellow contiki traveller and I, with her being vegan, had to settle for some Italian fare with some woodfired pizza and pasta.
We got the ortolana which was the grilled eggplant pizza with zucchini, roasted capsicum, caramelised onion and some delicious cheese. As soon as myf riend tasted the caramelised onion, she let you a yelp of "OMG I've had ham", until she realised it was very delicious onion. I guess it was that good. I tell people I hate pizza, but then I had the ortolana at Teatro and I love pizza again. :)
We also ordered the mushroom pappardelle. It was very very salty but delicious. I guess we couldn't stop eating it because of the salt. The pappardelle, not sure if it was Teatro-made, but boy was it good. It had a strong seafood flavour and I'm not sure whether it was the cheese that gave it this fishy taste. The large shaved slices of Parmesan with their stingy bite helped absorb the salt.
Teatro only does split bills if you pay by card.
You can expect flies and birds to fly in while you're eating which is a nuisance and I guess that's what you get when you dine near the yarra river, but otherwise fancy venue, great food and service!
What a wonderful discovery ! The staff was super friendly and efficient.
The food was excellent.
The atmosphere was really happy.
What a trifecta !!!!!
We had the tapas croquettes and they were crunchy and delicious.
We had the traditional paella and was recommended having one and 1/2 instead of 2 , shared between 4 adults. What a great call from the waitress.
I love this place and will be returning soon with my daughters.
Thank you for a perfect evening .
Merry Christmas.
Came here after an afternoon at the NGV and had a couple of glasses of wine and the best mussels in saffron sauce I have ever had! The flavours knocked me out completely and the serving was quite generous (could have had a couple more pieces of the delicious bread though). Beautiful location - sitting outside on a sunny day is lovely. Service was attentive without being over the top. Would be back for a special treat.
Busy place on the riverfront and close to the Arrs Centre. The happy hour is great and the sangria is refreshing. Tapas menu is really varied. The cooked food is flavoursome and and the salads are fresh and tasty.
Delicious vegetarian pizza overlooking the scenic Yarra River
Ordered:
Ortolana: grilled eggplant, zucchini, roasted capsicum, caramelized onion, fior di latte ($26.00)
Review:
There's something about having wholesome pizza, that you know is good for the environment and for you. Flavours just jump off this dish - the sweetness from the capsicum melding with the caramelized onion and the crunchy vs soft textures evident in this dish.
Can't forget the delicious fior di latte cheese combining everything together!!
My only complaint is that the space inside is awfully tight (on the far left side). Even though you get your own table, you are conscious that the chair behind you is backed right up against yours. This becomes a problem if your friend is sitting in the middle and wants to get out...
Nonetheless, Would highly recommend this great vegetarian pizza dish - even if you're a meat lover :)
Normally we would go to saki, however we decided to go to Teatro instead for something new!
Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the range.
We loved he ambiance and the service was also good.
The food was on the pricier side however it was well worth it.
Would definitely go again and would recommend!
I been there many times and I love the view from this place. Food are also good and professional. Love the pasta and fish. Staffs are friendly.
This is a nice Tapas place tucked away at the side of the Yarra River.
The place is warm, friendly and the service is prompt.
I’d rate them higher, if the food portions matched the price..... However, given their location, I understand.
I liked the bread in appetiser and the Tapas options were good... The beer complimented my chicken ribs and zucchini flower based Tapas that I ordered.
A good place to spend the evening in a group
One fine Sunday afternoon, we attempted visit to the NGV Triennial in which we left after about half an hour of being swarmed by the sea of other visitors too. Another one of our #fail moments but we re-visited the gallery on a Tuesday and it was a truly eye-opening experience!. The failed visit however, has led us to this little gem of a restaurant, Teatro at Southbank which we would probably not have stumbled upon because we don’t usually come to this side of the city. We were casually strolling along the Yarra River looking for some lunch and were immediately attracted to the massive pan of Paella at the front of their restaurant.
The squid ink spaghetti is a must! Absolutely delicious and fresh seafood that is not overly heavy but a perfect balance of flavours. Was walking from the NGV and was looking for a nice place to dine and this place exceeded my expectations. Would definitely recommend if you’re passing by! Will be back again very soon
We enjoyed a lovely pre-show dinner for 4 at Teatro on a Friday night. The menu is on the pricier side but also definitely on par with other Southbank restaurants nearby, and we appreciated being right next door to Hamer Hall as it was quite a drizzly and dreary night.
We ordered the 300g Hunter Valley Rump ($36 x2), 300g Porterhouse ($40), Squid Ink Spaghetti ($33) and Patatas Bravas ($12) to share. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food, especially the wonderfully smokey charcoal flavour floating throughout the dishes. Would recommend the porterhouse over the rump, especially for those wanting to avoid fatty pieces of meat (although the rump was not bad by any means!). The salsa verde paired beautifully with the dish. My spaghetti was chock full of seafood and I especially enjoyed the crispy prawns.
Overall a lovely place serving delicious and refined modern Mediterranean dishes, would recommend!
sooooooo good
The ink spaghetti and seafood paella is the best I ever eat in Mel
last time also had some pizza, so nice
Good place for family's reunion and friends
Great location below Hamer Hall on Southbank. Lovely staff. Enjoyed the tapas. Others enjoyed the roasted fish and the baby calamari.
Spanish doughnuts also good.
Went specially for the $15 paella but think I got the tail end of the batch, as it was a bit dry and slightly bland. New batch was being made as I left! But everything else was great!
On a Sunday afternoon, we were seated outside (with heaters), watching the Yarra and passers by at Southbank, with lovely winter sunshine. The $15 paella deal was a just perfect for a late lunch. Friendly staff and tasty food at the right price.
We went on a Friday night and ordered tapas. Some hit and miss: the croquette were excellent with a creamy filling, calamari were good, perfectly cook although the batter is definitely improbable. The chorizo with grapes was an original combination that for me just didn't work, but that may be down to personal preferences. I thought the balance between sweet and sour just wasn't there. While the food is generally ok, the service was the real let down: not attentive at all and very cold. In summary, Teatro is ok if you are dining with a large group of friends or colleagues but you can definitively find a more welcoming places in Southbank and CBD for a romantic date on a Friday night!
Handy spot on the banks of the Yarra. Seating inside and out and a few spots at a lovely sleek bar as well. Drinks menu is extensive. We order Italian proseco and olives - big serve marinated in oregano, lemon and garlic. Delicious! Next my friend orders calamari served with lemon aoli. Was well received and disappeared quickly. Next came more proseco and a pizza with prawns, crushed cherry tomatoes and feta. Light crispy base topped with sautéed prawns and crumbled feta and Italian parsley. We ordered another drink each as it's a lovely space to sit and relax in. Well priced and knowledgable staff help to enhance the experience. Good for groups or intimate nights. Something here for everyone with an extensive menu encompassing tapas, pizza, pasta, meats, fish and sides.
Nice place by south gate with somewhat average service. Staff were attentive but why did it take 3 people to find out what was in the sauces?
Got the josper crane and it was more than enough for 2 people. The flat iron steak was really tasty even though they were in consistently cooked. Some were cooked well, some medium. The calamari was the best part. Come back? Most likely.
We headed here on a Friday night after a misunderstanding with a booking at another restaurant. We only had to wait 1/2 an hour with no prior booking.
We needed a place that did gluten free risotto. (Long story!) They had GF paella which was delicious but I've had paella in Barcelona and it didn't really compare. The menu says paella is "for two" but you can order single serves. If you're really hungry Paella for two is not enough. You'll definitely need some tapas dishes.
Tapas was delicious. I would like to return for the cheese platter dessert.
Not cheap.. but for the location it was reasonable.

The most beautiful Mother's Day feast and excellent service. Staff were all super happy and helpful and delivered such divine food to our table.

A great spot to catch up in the city all day long. We went in for an early dinner before the crowds arrived which was great. The service is quick and the staff are friendly too. Started with cocktails and tapas; we got the Sardines in chilli oil, pork and veal meatballs and jamon croquettes. For mains, we got the paella to share, really generous quantities. A tad bit expensive but quite at par with the city restos, really good ambience and good portions too.
Ordered the special paella lunch and a red sangria. The rice texture in the paella is a little different to the paellas we have tried. It has a grainy texture to it. The paella was generous with its ingredients and gets better with each spoonful. The sangria was strong and complemented the paella beautifully. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and staff was friendly. A great place to enjoy the meal overlooking the river and city.
Absolutely delicious food and friendly staff.
Have been here a few times and each time has been great.
Only a small few flaws in the times we've been here, definitely a staple in our list of places we'll be back for dinner.
Would happily recommend but be warned prices are steep due to location & quality of ingredients.
Love the atmosphere of this place had late lunch having cocktails and paella, reasonably priced service was friendly. If you decide to have paella please allow at least 30 minutes. Worth the wait. 👍

We only had an afternoon "snack" and drinks here so I can't really give an in-depth review of the place. What initally attracted us to this place was the $2 oyster sign they had outside. I'm a big oyster fan so I thought I couldnt pass it up and we needed some down time from walking around melbourne under the hot sun. I ordered a platter of oysters and a pitcher of sangria. They gave us a variety of oysters since I couldnt make my mind up what kind I wanted. It took a while for us to get the oysters but we got the pitcher of Sangria right away. While the oysters were divine and the sauce it came with was amazing, the Sangria was possibly the worst I've ever tasted in my life. It really threw me off when I tasted it. I was already doubtful the moment it came because it was a weird grayish red color instead of the usual bright red. I've tasted some bad sangria but this was not even close to a sangria.. I actually felt the need to do this review just because of that.
Some pros though: nice ambience, friendly staff, and in a good location by the river.
Upon our first visit, we found that Teatro exuded a welcoming yet sophisticated ambience, situated in a prime spot alongside the Yarra and adjacent to Hamer Hall. Service was beyond fantastic, nothing was ever an inconvenience or hassle for the super accommodating and friendly staff (no pretentiousness at all whatsoever). Though some may perceive the menu as pricey, it all depends on what you order. Given its location in the heart of the prestigious Arts Precinct of the CBD, I found the prices to be quite reasonable, considering the quality and portion of the meals. The pasta was delicious and the creme catalan was heavenly bliss (a must-have for any dessert-fiend, or really anyone). Highly recommended - will definitely come be back again.
We came across this during happy hour hence the $5 Estrella
We ordered a pizza which had a wonderfully thin crispy base and accompanied that with calamari served with lemon and aioli and a serve of hommus with minced lamb. All delicious. Great attentive staff and a great atmosphere.
Lovely Italian/pizza place overlooking the yarra. Food is good, but expectedly overpriced. Servings are generous, staff are helpful and service is fast. If you're looking for a relaxing spot to people watch, eat nice food and have the cash to spare it's not a bad option.
February 2020 and a revisit. 3 pizzas, 2 sides and a bottle of wine (an excellent Seppelt Shiraz) - almost same order as first review! Pizzas are divine - the prosciutto oozing topping (they listened to what I said last time - :)) and the wagyu meatballs very good (as is roquette/pear/walnut salad). There were a couple more glasses of wine on the bill than 2016, with bill coming in just under $200.
2016: Big, bustling place with tables inside and out overlooking the Yarra/city as well as stools at the bar.
Very friendly welcome and in spite of being busy, comfortably found a table for 6 of us at 830pm post-ACCA opening. As a result, we were not overly hungry and ordered 3 pizzas to share along with a couple of tapas (excellent croquettes of leek and manchego) and a Bottle of Shiraz. Total bill - a very reasonable $130.
Loved the crust of the pizzas (one of my favourite parts) and the prosciutto pizza was divine. All could have done with a little more topping, particularly the Napoletana Christo anchovy & black olive pizza. Not the cheapest pizzas in town but they are large and easily shared - and then Teatro is part of the newly refurbished Hamer Hall complex and it's a Southbank address! It's a good option for this part of town.
Had a nice meal here recently. Ate the Margherita Giorgio woodfried pizza, which at $22 is a little on the pricey side for Margherita pizzas in Melbourne. I would say it was generally a good meal, but there are other places I could get this pizza cheaper and honestly better so I don't know if I will be returning. I think on the menu they should have called the cheese Fior di Latte for a more authentic Italian experience.
Service was really cheerful so that's where the stars are coming from. Did not partake in a drink, but the menu looked wide enough to accompany what you want. Beers, wines, spirits: all there.
Atmosphere: it's close to the Arts Centre so good place to be if you're a theatre go-er or you want to visit NGV International. Personally, it's a bit too close to the mucky end of the Yarra for me. But sitting inside you would avoid that.
We had a lovely experience at our ladies work lunch at Teatro, Hamer Hall.
The service was excellent, besides the fact the waitress forgot one of our meals. We didn't mind though as our eyes are bigger than our Bellies.
Food was good quality and well presented. It is a little on the expensive side but on par with most of the restaurants on Southgate.
I enjoyed the Moroccan lamb pizza with smoked yogurt and mint leaves. Other favourites were the Beetroot salad, Quinoa salad and pork belly tapas.
Coffee was also excellent. Looking forward to going back and trying the Octopus and Chorizo skewers. Big bonus, they let us 'Split the Bill'!!!!
Been here on numerous occasions but the most memorable was when I organised my sister in laws hens night here! We caught a hummer from my house and arrived at Teatro where we had a RIDICULOUS amount of food including pizza, calamari, octopus, heaps of other entrees of our choice and a fair few bottle of wines all for approx $55 per head (from what I remember)! They really made our night great ensuring we left full and drank! The paella from here is very tasty as well 😍😍😍
Food generally very good. Pizzas ok. Service has almost always been disappointing. Forget sangria, not well made. A little expensive but it is by the Yarra at Southbank
Great view of sunset beside Yarra river. Traditional paella is tasteful with chicken and seafood. The rice is well cooked and chewy. Food is in generous portion. One paella is enough to feed two girls, and we dont have extra space for desert. Staff are very polite, friendly and cheerful. I like this place.
We had a gorgeous lunch today sitting in the sun. Wood fire pizza with a beetroot, lamb lettuce and goat cheese salad .... Superb !! Coffees were perfect.
The food, wine and staff were excellent 😊
Went to Teatro on a Saturday night and it seemed to be booked out. We were a little disheartened as the menu looked great, but alas, they managed to squeeze us in. We were seated at a cosy table outside and were looked after by one very attentive waiter the whole night. We ordered the burrata, manchego and jamon croquettes, prosciutto pizza and peri-peri spatchcock with a buttery corn puree. Every single element of every dish was AMAZING. The buratta was perfectly creamy, sitting on top of lightly seasoned rocket and drizzled with olive oil. The manchego and jamon croquettes were the best croquettes I have ever had - super crisp on the ouside, with an amazing creamy centre. The pizza was just like the dozens of wood fired pizzas I have had in Italy that celebrate fresh produce with a thin base and crispy crust. The peri-peri spatchcock was delicious - the meat was tender and the peri-peri flavour was spot on. The spatchcock sat on top of AMAZING corn puree. It was buttery, garlicky, and perfectly complemented the spatchcock. For dessert, we had the Creme Catalan (or Creme Brulee) and Portugese Tart. Both were amazing and beautifully presented. The Creme Catalan had a crackable caramel topping and the custard was set to perfection. The Portugese Tart was delectable, with a creamy custard and a crisp puff pastry base, alongside macerated strawberries. The service was also great, as our food came in a timely manner and our waiter was super attentive, despite the restaurant being super busy. Teatro is one of the best places I have ever been with fresh, delicious food and great service - I wish I could give it more stars.
Great setting for a late evening snacks or meet ups. Melbourne skyline view and chill of Yarra compensated by heaters.
Ortolana pizza was different and Chicken ribs were amazing, I definitely refer that. Being a chicken lover the taste was something special with a variety of sauces on offer.
Bourbon n Coke 8.5 only, decent pricing. 👍🏽
Great lunch place we found in southbank. Pizzas are great and some of the entrées like calamari and chicken ribs. Friendly staff and beautiful view
Had dinner here - randomly selected and it was new at the time. Service was great and staff were friendly and attentive. Menu has tapas style as in Barcelona so we ordered a few dishes and they did not disappoint! The seafood dish was probably our favourite. We're too full to have dessert but...
Great food and service. We were a group of 7 and managed to get a table last minute on a Saturday night. Staff were very friendly and helpful giving great recommendations. Great ambience and atmosphere. We ordered chicken ribs, croquettes, traditional paella to share between 2, valencian paella to share between 2, teatro pizza to share between 2 and a fungi pizza. Also a creme catalan for dessert shared between the 2 sweet tooths at our table. For drinks we had a large jug of the deluxe sangria which was potent (lots of alcohol which they warned us about!) but delicious and worth the price tag which was shared between 6 and there was plenty to go around. Plus 2 large glasses (250ml) of the tempranillo (a must try!) for me as I wasn't drinking sangria. Bill came to $370 which we thought was very reasonable for 7 people given the amount of food and drinks we had. Portions were huge so we were glad we'd taken the advice of staff and ordered dishes to share. The paellas were meant to be shared between 2 but could easily feed 3 or even 4 small eaters. All the dishes were delicious but the standouts were the 2 paellas and the funghi pizza and there was so much food we had left overs even with a few big eaters at our table! No complaints at all from our table. Overall a wonderful evening with great food and service. Highly recommended!
Lovely service to a wide range of diners today. Families, couples, singles and cultures enjoying a relaxed dining spot on the river. Id already eaten at MFWF so a quick coffee with Italian music and watching the world go by was for me. An overcast day the location is just perfect before a shopping spree.
Had the seafood paella for two, delicious! Lots of crab, prawns, fish, scallops and octopus. Sangria was ok but didn't have much alcohol in it. Quite a laid back vibe about the place.
Came here for a team lunch. We had the set menu. Food was pretty good (however the dessert of the donuts was quite a let down).
Service was good. Atmosphere was ok,however it was boiling that day and it should be noted that they chose to leave the doors open.
It was also pricier than I would like.
Had dinner here last night we ordered the vegetarian paella for two it was amazing so tasty and the tiramisu was to die for. Def coming back. Great service as well
It's a very nice restaurant with a great view of the yarra river! 👍The inside looks classy and comfortable.
Service was great, friendly and very efficient. I've tried a few dishes so far and they were all great. Chicken ribs is a must have starter~ really yummy with the dipping sauce. Paella comes in large portion which is good for sharing. To me the traditional paella is good enough but you can pay a bit extra to get one with more seafood. I would definitely recommend the white sangria, it goes really well with the seafood👌
Been here twice already and I'll definitely come back~
We went there for dinner. We had some tapas and pizza. Food was good. The spanish sausage were great with the grapes. Focaccia was good but it should be cooked a bit more and let raised more
Order the 'Prosciutto' pizza & prepare to be amazed, minimalistic, but takes directly to the heart of Parma, Italia. The Spanish doughnuts are a pleasantly light but satisfying suprise. Staff incredible across the venue.

Great place to go for dinner with a group of friends as they have a variety of share dishes with italian and Spanish tastes they also have pizza. Great location alongside the yarra really nice on a warm night. Good portions and reasonable price service was good as well.
The venue was excellent for outdoor dining near water in Southbank~ The waiters were polite and friendly enough to have a chat about themselves and the meals were amazing for sharing around. The sauces were a highlight and the meat served was soft and tender.
I would definitely come back here for a special occasion or for a sangria by the Southbank view
Came here with another colleague for lunch and I was very impressed with the vibe and decor on the inside. It looks and feels very upmarket, which is well suited to the Southbank location.
We ordered a lunch special of three tapas and a pizza to share with sangria. The lunch tapas special was a little too small for two people but with the pizza was a good combo. The sangria was amazing and definitely worth trying! Would like to go back and try a few of the other tapas options with a bigger group.
Love this place every time..staff food vibe. One of my favourite spots especially sitting at the bar people gazing with the city backdrop..
this is my second round dinner today😂... I love their pizza so much, which the pizza is thin one and it is well cook...wont be scorch!
I think the calamari is too salty but its great to match with beer.
Perfect venue for a nice meal and a great atmosphere.
Some great tapas to choose from and an easy to follow menu, not to mention the delicious Sangria.
Food 8/10
Dessert 7/10 (tried the nutella & banana calzone - not bad, bit to much nutella)
We ordered the veg pizza with drinks and Tiramasu.. Must say both the things were just amazing and melted in the mouth. Esp, Tiramasu had a strong flavour and extra crunch, loved it. The staff was really nice and paid good attention. Lively and lightly busy on a Sunday evening..
First time here and i am very impressed. The food was amazing and all cooked to perfection. The staff were very attentive. I will definitely be back. Thanks for a great night
Excellent atmosphere on a Thursday night. Friendly, efficient service. Exactly the sort of eatery you need before going to the Arts centre. I had a Zucca pizza which had pumpkin, teleggio, spec and sage. Great base and amazing topping. Good value for around $21.00...plenty for one grown man to eat! Recommended for a casual night out with friends or a fun place to take your nearest and dearest before a show.
Fantastic place. Very nice atmosphere. First time there and i will most definitely be back. Was a little pricey but you get what you pay for. 8/10
Ambience: perfect for a date night or simply dining out with family & friends. Overlooks the yarra river at southbank and the city lights across the river add more drama to the setting. Both outdoor and indoor seating available.
Food: We were in for a quick drink and had our stomachs full before seating ourselves at the outdoor table. To go with the sangrias we ordered a portion of chickens ribs. We were told it would have eight pieces but turned out to be six of those tangy ribs. But to our surprise the staff brought in a complementary portion of the same to cover for that tiny miscommunication!!
Staff: Friendly and cordial staff from the hostess to the wait staff. And all of them wore a nice smile on their faces all times.
Drinks: we ordered for a jug of sangria (white) and a bailleys. Both the orders were above average and surpassed our expectations.
All in all it was a great experience and again a special mention to the staff! Highly recommended!
