Review Pud Thai Vs Pho - Melbourne

Great location and great price. Had 3 beers and 2 main meals which included the barramundi for $59.

Found this restaurant on google maps. Ordered a tofu and vegetables pad see ew takeaway. On the plus side, you can taste the power of the wok. Very generous portion size. Reasonable price. Although it tastes pretty good, it is not how I remember the flavour of pad see ew. The thickness of the carrot slices are all different. Some are overcooked while others are too raw. This restaurant has potential, keep it up. UPDATE Decided to come back for a dine in. Ordered a chilli stir fry with pork belly. Didn’t have to wait for long. Very delicious, a little spicy as suggested on the menu. Good portion size. Staffs are very friendly. If you want cheap and good thai foods. Come to this restaurant. Support good people and small business.

This restaurant is super convenient, close to the expensive ones by the river, but with one big difference, the meal is very good value. I ordered Barramundi Lemon and it was super aromatic with delicious citrus flavours. My partner had the twice cooked duck and it was amazing and soft. So, it you are at the DFO, just cross the bridge and you will find it super easy. Highly recommended.

Very good location in docklands, close to the Yarra river, the exhibition center, and dfo south wharf... the sevice is very good and the staff are friendly...I had chicken sweet and sour and I loved it..the chicken though was a bit different than what I usually have in Thai restaurants... different in a good way though..I think it's breaded chicken

Went here for midweek lunch with a mate. Ordered cashew chicken with rice. Service was on point. Food was fresh and delicious. Prices were great as well. Cost $12.90 for rice and chicken. Would recommend this place if you are close to South DFO.

Walked into these empty restaurant, should have trusted my instinct to walk out. Judging from many reviews, we decided to give it a try. Food had not much taste to it. Could not figure out if it is vietnamese or Thai. Fish cake was very oily. Green curry was possibly the worst Curry I ever had. Disappointed. Never again.

I recommend the "see ew" noodles and seafood fried rice! The "mixed seafood" option includes prawns, squid and fried batter fish! Felt like it was affordable and worth the money! Be sure to request for their sweet thai chilli sauce, its really adds the flavour of the fried batter fish! With all the good things being said, the dish i do not recommend is green curry (too creamy)!

The decor is quaint, the music is depressing and the service is meh. We're conscious eaters, and worked up the courage to ask the server if the food is made with MSG. She looked at us as if she had absolutely no idea what this "MSG" thing is. Asked again, this time slower, same baffled looked. Fine. We ordered. Food came out, nicely presented...but everything tasted sugar-bombed AND salty at once. Like eating dessert and dinner in one. Even the fried rice was syrupy. It was a decent but failed effort. And yes, there was MSG, as evidenced by the cotton mouth and other digestive suffering from each person in our party.

Their food is not only well priced but soo delicious!! Me and my boyfriend come here and get the pho as well as the curry, the vegetarian spring rolls are different to ones from other Vietnamese places but sooo yummy!!! I am vegetarian and asked if they could make the pho vegetarian for me even though it is not on the menu and they were so lovely to make it for me and it just amazing! Love this place so much

Being first time here and on a low carb diet I ordered the Thai beef salad. I probably didn't pick a winner dish and I'm sure there are some good dishes here going by the reviews. Nevertheless it was a good serve of salad, but sitting in a pool of sweet dressing that you had to eat pretty fast before it got all soggy. It took a while to get. The beef on top was thin, dry and beef jerkyish, but still had flavour. Standard price for a salad. Choose wisely.

Ordered the Green curry with chicken for takeaway. Cheap and very generous portion, both the curry and the rice. I enjoyed the courgette in the curry along with the chicken. A little bit more buttery than the usual thai curries I have eaten. Good customer service.

Tried this place out for lunch today. The drunken noodles did not disappoint - was piping hot and very flavoursome- not too spicy but good hit of the sauces. We also tried the pud cha stir fry which was very hearty and could have easily passed for a home made stir fry! We also had the summer fresh juice which was absolutely perfect to beat the heat! Definitely recommend.

My favourite restaurant!! Pud Thai vs Pho offers a wide variety of dishes for all taste buds, from meat lovers to vegans. As soon as my family and I entered the restaurant, we were greeted by kind staff and an amazing interior that was a replica of an authentic thai restaurant.

For entree we ordered the soft duck wrap and spring rolls. For main, we ordered the pad thai, pad see ew and soft shell crab. To our surprise all three dishes suited our palettes perfectly, we even took away 2 pad thai and 2 pad see ew! For their prices, we could not ask for anymore.

Would come back here. 100% for price and taste.

Pud Thai vs Pho has an interesting variety of Thai and Vietnamese dishes on the menu. With cute decor around the store, it's a relatively relaxing place to have lunch.

Ordered:
🍜 See Ew: Stir fried flat rice noodle with vegetables, egg and prawn ($14.90)

Review:
Choosing the more 'light' feeling noodle option on the menu, there's something simplistically perfect. A mixture of taste from the clean cut of the beansprouts, the light noodles with its thin ribbons, the bite of the prawn with the texture of nuts, the briefly acidic touch of the lemon and it's a lunch that leaves you full, but not heavy.

The restaurant is a little tight with chairs almost back to back. Table service is a little slow, but if you have some time to spare and your meetings aren't back to back... this is not a bad place to go for lunch. You get to escape cluster of the corporate city buildings and just go to this little segregated area. Especially on a sunny day, Pud Thai gives you the flexibility to embrace the sun by eating outside.

Would recommend if you need a break from corporate building blocks and have the flexibility of a little bit of a longer lunch. They also do split billing! +1

The food was good! I really like the green curry, it’s rich in flavour and I love the taste! ❤️ The dumpling is nice too! However, I waited quite awhile for the food to arrive.

Pud Thai vs Pho is an unassuming little restaurant that packs a major flavour punch! Really well priced with huge serves, it can get really busy during lunch time so come early if you want a seat!

The Tom Yum soup here is one of the best I’ve had - you can tell stock is made in house and not from a bottle! My colleague had the chicken salad which was super filling and flavoursome too.
GreenSmoothie
Was recommended by a friend.

I ordered Vege Pud Ped and it came out very flavourful and not chilli at all (just a little bit salty after a few bites). Thai milk tea, however, was too sweet for my liking. Overall, given the food portion servings, I would think that the food here was quite good value (in terms of prices).

The shop is rather small and well hidden but ambience is great and interior setting is cute. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

Service is always good. As a general rule I have a chicken pho, its good but not outstanding. The fresh herbs and bean shoots are fresh and the chilli is hot hot!! Have had the green curry with chicken and its good. The place represents good value for money. Overall just better than average.
Why does North Wharf have nothing good to go for a quick meal? This place is not very authentic, possibly full of MSG, not that cheap either for what they serve. Their pho is meh, their chicken wings are too salty and greasy.
David Dyer
Well the ambience is a 5 if you’ve been to Thailand or Vietnam and want to get that OS feel. The food and service is awesome. Great flavors and fresh ingredients with a reasonable choice of quality options. Priced below what it should be. I guess that’s why it’s always busy and the staff are always happy worth a look

Dishes are typical Thai and tastes quite good. I felt the quantity of entree can be improved.
Note - when you ask for spicy, it is extremely spicy.

I recommend this to try at least once. The people running the restaurant looks passionate about their work and it can be seen from their food.

$$$: value for money, $20pp.

Good Food Good Mood
Not a bad little Thai option. The atmosphere is nothing fancy but it's cute and cosy with plenty of variety. Its also very reasonably priced which makes it perfect for lunch if you happen to work in the area as I used to. In fact you can even get a duck curry or a soft shell crab for under $15! I stick to my prawn pad Thai or pad see ew. Try a delicious Nutella roti for dessert 😍
Cray
Pad see eww beef. $10.9. A lot of meat in the dish was tasty, also lots of noodles. Could do with a couple more veggies, just seemed to be a lot of carrot but all up a nice filling dish and at a great price :).

If I could rate this place any lower than a score of 1... I would. My colleague and I ordered yesterday and decided to avoid their pho due to average reviews on here, so we both went with their rice vermicelli - mine with crab and prawn springs rolls and hers with lemon grass beef. Both came with half a serve of noodles and and a sprinkle of mixed salad you'd pick up in a packet from coles for $2. Needless to stay there was no taste and we were both left feeling ill for the rest of the afternoon and night. We've binned their take away menu. Never Again!
Hayley
Ordered takeaway from here. Nearly got charged twice for it. Lemongrass chicken was quite average and not much chicken. Dim sims were provided when dumplings were ordered...
The Hangry One
I usually go to this place for lunch and get one of the lunch specials. The satay chicken with rice tastes amazing and same with the yellow curry. I wouldn't recommend the pho as it lacks flavour. The staff are very friendly and even allow splitting bills.
Yosuke Yoshikawa
Ordered take away but was quite disappointing. Pad Thai was very ordinary. Prawn fell apart with no texture or flavour. The noodles tasted weird and fell apart as well. Also had some fried chicken stir drown but it was mostly fried batter. Taste was ok for that. Waste of money when there are a lot of options around.
Allan Ramos
Completely disappointed ... the curry was not spicy and too sweet and the lamb full of fat. The taste was not thai at all !!! Terrible experience
Bonnie
nice food in Thai taste
Nice service too. One of them is very handsome lol
I like mocha-ice cream best
Fried chicken with rice is not that good
The rice cooked with seafood and Thai sauce is better than good because of the fresh seefood
Ching
Pretty good for a take away place. I had the vermicelli with tofu and the Tom Yum soup (both vegetarian) and they were pretty nice. Servings are a decent size. Will come back again next time I'm feeling lazy and don't want to cook!

One of the guys from the office suggested to come here for "exceptional Thai" and so I was pretty pumped! Ordering online makes it easy as not o my do they accept AMEX, but they SMS you are status of the order!

I love massamum curries however this one was not great. The 5 small pieces of meat were tough and chewy and the sauce was really sweet.

Catching up with some friends here tomorrow for lunch so here's hoping the stir-fry is better.
Amy
Food was great.
One staff member in particular however, was not very professional. She proceeded to have a screaming match with a delivery driver, while there were patrons inside eating...then was on her phone complaining about it for a good 5mins.
The rest of the staff were lovely.
JP
Been there with daughter today for lunch. We ordered dumplings (3 serves), lemon mayo fried chicken & broccoli & pho beef.

The waiters/waitresses are very attentive & friendly. Very helpful and always have a smile on their face! 😄

The fried chicken & broccoli is the stand out one, their fried broccoli is crunchy on the outside and creamy inside. I haven't had anything like this before so this is pretty interesting and surprising!

As for the pho, the soup is not very hot only lukewarm, which is a disappointment. Overall the foods are good and price is reasonable too. Another new found lunch spot, will certainly be there again.
👍🏼👍🏼

Lovely little place - usually it would be full @7ish so I always try to come early. Entree are cheap but comes in decent portion. I love their Pud Thai noodle stir-fry. It's full-favoured with plenty of meat. In my opinion, so much better than any other Thai place within same price range.
Eran
Superb food and extra ordinary service.
They have the best Tom yum soup in Melbourne and a great prices to meet all budget... Bean a regular customer for a few years now and never been disappointed.... 👍
John
Cheap food; great atmosphere; quick service. I tried a beef Pud Thai. It's as good as I've had anywhere else. The location by the Yarra is brilliant.

If I'm in the area I'll go again.
Mega
Great little place! Love the atmosphere and outdoor tables. Dumplings are meaty and delicious. The Duck Pud Cha was very nice and fragrant and it was the exact spiciness I wanted. This was our first time but we will be returning. The menu has SO much choice and we are intrigued and wanting to try more...
Mels Menu
A small eatery along Melbourne's Yarra river. This unassuming eatery is a pleasant surprise. The staff are welcoming and friendly. With an extensive menu that visits all parts of Asia, there is plenty to chose from.
The simple decor, with quirky inclusions is inviting. On a hot day, it is uncomfortable. No fan or air condition can make the experience sweaty....
Entrees are simple, although small in size, which was disappointing. As Pho soup is big in Melbourne at the moment, it was on our list. Generous in size with fresh ingredients, it's is enjoyable. All standard sides were included with this dish, minus Chilli Paste, which was missed greatly. The broth is full flavoured and satisfying. Prices are very reasonable.
Take away and home delivery is a very busy service at Pud Thai Vs. Pho, with free local delivery on orders over $25.
I would recommend for a quick meal or home delivery.

Delicious Thai food down near the river. Small but sweet place with a great menu that really delivers on the taste-front. No fuss staff and setting. Great place, with real potential.
Iliketoeatfood
Love love love. Wonderful food here! If you want quick modern westernised Thai this is the place to go. The staff are Thai.

Been here several times and keep coming back. The spring rolls and dumplings are the best.

Great price. Great staff. Nice and cosy. Good location too!

Poorest service I have ever experienced. The food isn't bad here but the employees (particularly whoever served us) are INCREDIBLY rude, as in the worst I have ever experienced. Will never return after the way I was treated.

Could be better. Visited Pud Thai today for the first time. Sat down at a table, asked politely could we have the umbrella but up, didn't want to do it ourselves as might appear disrespectful for our host. Our waiter just walked off when we had this request and when he returned several minutes later felt that he was doing us some sort of favour. When my husband asked him if he could help put up umbrella due to the height of putting the support in the umbrella to maintain stability he acted offended and just shook his head in disgust. He then proceed to be equally rude and dismissive when he asked whether we wanted spice or Not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We asked whether we could do a little bit of spice because we loved the flavour, but not strongly. He just smiled a very superiorly and told us that we either did 'spice or we did not' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The food was quite good maybe 6.5 but the service was ordinary.

Disappointing. Tried out this place Pud Thai vs Pho after reading in Urbanspoon 80% like with 100 plus reviews. Place looks promising at first- small, casual but when food arrived it was just so so. The massamun curry beef was so plain. Beef was definitely pre cooked with no spices or flavour. Roti from packet but barramundi and green apple salad wasn't too bad. Not in a hurry to go back

Cracking little gem of Melbourne, don't expect the bells and whistles but delicious food with friendly service! Will continue to return ! Red duck curry ! Yum

The food here was aswome, everything we orded was fresh and cooked to perfection ... Deffently will be revisiting this hidden jem!!!

Good Place to Eat. I had ordered home delivery from this place a few times before i finally went to have dinner here. Food and service was good. I have since returned with friends and again food was great and service speedy. We will be back

Nice and friendly and good food. A place near the Yarra which is somewhat hard to find and easily overlooked. It is worth a visit. It was cosy inside on a cold night and had a nice ambience. I had a Tom Yum Noodle which was very spicy and I almost choked on a chilli, but it was tasty. My son had large serve of Pho and ate the lot. My wife is Malaysian and an amazing cook and she said her noodle dish was "alright".

The hidden Gem. This is by far my favourite place in all of Melbourne, my family and myself have been coming here for nearly 2 years, we discovered this place from living next door to it, and im so glad i did.
The service is excellent, the food is delicious, the speed is fast and great prices.
In all my times i have never had a bad meal, and it has always been consistent.
My favourite is the Green chicken curry with tofu and roti bread.
I don't care how far or where i move, if im near here i will always pop in.. my family even drove 1 hour to have a meal here.
Thank you, and keep up the fantastic meals & consistency!

Good Thai Food.... BUT......... BAD PHO!. Good thai food... quite tasty. But Pho is BAD. Soup is too clear and does not have any body to it. The slices of beef are TOUGH. The slices of chicken are tasteless and also tough.

I dont mind going back here for Thai food... but definitely not for Pho.
Feleader
My friend and I dine here once every few months and I LOVE this place. The food is fantastic, I've never had a bad meal and the service is always nice. Would highly recommend.
LGEMP
Terrible food. I don't normally write negative reviews but this was such a huge disappointment. Not one bit of crispy pork was crispy, roti was dry, the duck pancakes were tiny and tasteless, Pad see ew was ok though.
Nicole D
Amazing love this place. I've been there a few times now. The food is great and I can't wait to get back there.

Metal shaving in Lemongrass Beef Vermicelli. So - tasty food, except for the sizable metal shaving. Was still asked to pay, given that I had eaten most of the meal....it was at the bottom......refused again, but told I would only get the benefit of the doubt 'this time', despite handing over the shaving as soon as it was discovered. I am appalled, and will not return.

I would say neither is the winner. My boyfriend took me here one evening and I was at first skeptical (as it was a restaurant in the Docklands) then hopeful when I saw it was cute and tucked away from the normal touristy fare around the area. Well...no. The cocktails were wayyy to sweet more glucose than any alcohol. The pad Thai did not taste like anything I've had in Thailand or any other Thai restaurant. My boyfriend had the green curry which was a pass, but overall, I hate to say I strayed too far docks side again.

A really cosy and contemporary little restaurant hidden in South Wharf holds upon it's Asian authenticity with their food whilst also creating a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere for their costumers. I've been there a few times and they have never disappointed me.

The service is excellent; the staff are friendly and are always so happy to provide their service. The food comes out at a good time and is delicious. The Thai milk tea is my favourite here.

I recommend this place. A little hard to find but definitely a treasure worth finding.

Little gem in Docklands. Just discovered this hidden gem today and can't sing its praises high enough. As the name suggests, we shared a prawn pud thai and a chicken pho. Neither of us could decide which was better - both are as delicious as they get.
Service was prompt and friendly, the place is clean and tidy and the bonus is you can sit outside under the umbrellas and watch the Yarra flow by, people walking across to DFO and so on. May be a challenge to find it but if you find 60 Siddley St, it's at the side of that and somewhat behind the Police Museum.
Yum - we'll certainly make this one of our regulars.
Rob
I ordered the barramundi fish take-away. I sat down to eat and opened the container. It was full of liquid sauce a veggies. I swirled the plastic spoon around but could not find the fish. Honest mistake, they just forgot the fish on the grill or something. I returned to the shop and explained. They took the container to the kitchen and then returned and told me it was in there and I just missed it. I twirled the plastic spoon and low and behold, it was in there. They put it in there! I was gob smacked that they would try to trick me like that. I will never go back there again!
Emma
This place is just awesome! great tasty food and cute little hidden away restaurant. I've been going here often and tried many different dishes on their menu all have been fantastic!

A clear favourite. I've been coming to Pud Thai vs. Pho for a while now. My colleagues and I discovered this gem when SOuth Wharf was a wasteland, and to tell the truth, expected your standard faux-thai, fried-rice-for-aussies sort of place.
Instead, we got a beautifully quirky fit-out, fresh food, generous servings, and an owner (manager?) who gives some of the best service I've come across in Melbourne.

Nothing is ever too much trouble here. Shift-worker from the nearby police centre on a 30 minute break? They'll rush your order.
Vegetarian? They've got plenty of non-meat options.
Want it spicy or...not? Sure thing.
Want to know what that vegetable in your dinner is? Just ask, and they won't make you feel like an idiot. (It was fresh green peppercorn, by the way.)

The food is delicious, and fresh. Hot, temperature wise. Spicy if you like it that way, but not taste-bud-paralysing spicy. I enjoy their dumplings (serve of three, I think?) and pud thai, but you can bet that anything you order will be fresh and tasty.

The prices are reasonable, and low enough to make it a 'everyday' option for me. (Er, not *really* every day....you know what I mean.)

I've since moved on from the area, but I keep coming back. In a city with as many options as Melbourne, I believe this is the biggest compliment I can pay.

A Hidden Gem!. This cute little restaurant is brilliant! We live in the Flinders Wharf building above it and go here multiple times a week.

The food is SO fresh and SO cheap. The pricing is so good considering the quality of produce used and how fresh it all is. Tony and his adorable wife are so wonderful and it is very evident that they have a very large number of revisiting customers who keep going back and back!

Red chicken curry is the best curry I've had! :-)
Highly recommend a visit!
Mae
I emailed this cafe late one night and got a reply just in time for my lunch break the next day! Yay vegan friendly options!!!!!! The food was amazing!!! I had veggie Tom yum soup which was packed with flavour and a massamun veg curry which was delicious. The staff were lovely and friendly they helped me with all my dietary needs :) I will be back!!!!!
Claire
Love all veg they add in the curries.... But please.....please ease off on all the palm sugar!!! Too sweet it's such a shame! Needless to say... Great food, affordable complimented by promote and polite service ! Will order again.

The owners here have done well. They have made a market where others failed. Tucked away and hidden from the glamour of other restaurants on the expensive side of the Yarra, you have to know it's here to find it. Their reputation proceeds them.

Workplaces in the area regularly rely on them for their take-away dinners, and they can rush orders for people on their breaks, and do so, every day. Their restaurant is pretty cool, think young and cool not relaxed and comfortable. It has that Asian feel of tiny spaces and certain flavours. The food is always good and the prices exceptionally low. The owner remembers my name and what I normally order and nothing is ever a problem. They have fun aprons too and it has found it's own personality that it is proud to be.

Congratulations on a clever restaurant which is nothing like anything else in all of Docklands, South Wharf and South gate.
Nadia Aquino
Weird pricing. I love this place. I usually stick to the appetizers tho, because theyre cheap and good, although the crab claw (which is highly processed and comes frozen) shouldnt cost as much as it does.
The staff are lovely and always friendly, love the aesthetics- very cosy!
I do have one problem and thats their weird pricing.

I was craving a papaya salad, which they didnt have on their salad menu but came as a side dish to a main course. They said they couldnt serve the papaya salad on its own unless I was willing to pay the full price of the main course... so essentially I'd be paying $18 for papaya salad? Weird.

Another time I came with a friend and she quickly paid for my tom yum appetiser because it was only $5.. until she realised they charged her the full price for tom yum main course (which comes with noodles). Now, I eat tom yum there whenever I'm in the area, and I ALWAYS pay the $5. This time, the waiter asked if I wanted tom yum with the noodles or without, and I said "without". The dish came in appetizer size, so I didnt suspect anything... but they basically charged me the price for the tom yum main course and left out the noodles because I said no noodles? Umm what?? So she paid an extra $6 for a dish I always get...

We only realised on the way home and I know some of you would be all "Why ddnt you go back" but really... this shouldnt even be happening. My friend and I are quite irritated as we are regular customers.

Great little joint in South Wharf. Service was very friendly and efficient. Food was great! Had the roti, duck wraps, pho and vermicelli with spring rolls. Great to know for whenever you are passing by.

Hidden Gem. Amazing hidden wee restaurant. Best green curry I've ever had. Great value and good service. Definitely recommend it!
Regina Gunawan Lee
Amazing!!. Although it's a bit of a bummer that it's kinda out of the way, I will definitely go back! I love the ambiance of the restaurant. Even at night time and on a rainy day, it feels nice and cozy. My niece, who usually hates going to restaurants and usually throws tantrums and whines to go home the whole time, LOVES IT! She loved seeing all the quirky decorations. When we were leaving, she was really hesitant.

The food... oh lord the food!! SOOOOOOOO GOOD!! I don't know how to explain it, but from the first bite, you know that these are not made from canned sauces or whatnots. Made from scratch all the way! Even the chili sauce tastes like it was made from scratch! I love all the different curries and they were VERY generous with the seafood! The price is definitely well worth it!

On our second visit there, they actually remembered us. They even gave my little niece a cup of babyccino... Very very nice of them to do that. Awesome service! The people there were really friendly and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our meal.

Great food, brilliant service. Staff are fantastic. Deffinately a little hidden treasure in Docklands.

Fantastic local place- all food made with fantastic produce. Not greasy or oily. So friendly and easy going. And they deliver too!

Saw this place by accident a couple of weeks ago and decides to put it on my to do list this week. Glad I did. Menu is simple but comprehensive enough to cater for anyone. Service was sharp, food was excellent and it is small and intimate. Highly recommended for an impromptu drink and feed.
Davey D
I ate here the week they opened and thought it was OK. After a bad meal at a nearby premises I was relieved to find a great, friendly place to eat. Great fusion of Thai and Vietnamese owners. They'll cook anything on the menu and cater for your specific requirements. They now have a liquor licence and outside tables. Worth a trip over the walk bridge to experience the service and the ability to have an intimate chat with the owner operators. Make it your local! I'm sure if you ordered something not on the menu they'd serve it with a smile and name it after you within a year!

Pho no go. Had Beef Pho with a group of friends, service took a long time for what is usually a prompt dish.
The garnishes came out for the Pho first and they looked sad, the bean sprouts seemed like they had been frozen and then thawed, there was only two leaves of basil and sad looking chilis.
The stock was watery and clear, no flavour... very disappointing.
Did not try anything else, but saw a neighbours spring roll entry, it looked overcooked and dry.
Will not be back

Fantastic Little Gem in the corner!. What distinguishes a wonderful restaurant experience is quality of the food, personal service and coziness. Pud Thai vs Pho scores on all three of them. We visited Melbourne and stayed in Hilton by the dockside and was looking for a close by restaurant. Pud vs Pho fit the bill and tastebuds perfectly. Thank you for your lovely service customizing lot of our soups and curries and giving us a taste of Melbourne.

On Friday time I been there that quiet busy Thai restaurant but serviced is pretty quick I have to wait about 10 minute for padthai was pretty good Also Chicken cashew I am chef at Hilton before I ever work with him in the kitchen I really love him control rhythm in the kitchen i will call u buddy now I am open my restaurant
Brando The Pig
Massaman curry is fantastic - full of flavour. Too bad the beef was way overcooked and tough. Pad Thai is pretty good, pho is light, subtle but has a nice flavour. Avoid prawns here, clearly frozen. Roti is small but good, service is genuine and friendly
Jamie
Great food and service. Really love this place. Been there 4 times since it opened, and every time the food was great. They also went out of their way to work around a food allergy I have. And the food is very reasonably priced. A hidden gem - highly recommended.
Waynos
Soft Shell Crab!. The soft shell crab was amazing. Great flavours, quick service and cheap. Win Win!
Teewhy
Pho isn't great. The soup was cloudy not clear and needed more flavour. Duck was good but the green curry was too sweet. The Thai beef salad had too much lettuce and tough beef. Lovely staff but the food needs to improve.
Carley Ludlow
Rice Paper Rolls. Delicious! Recipe is a little unique with the addition of Pear which gives the rolls a subtle sweet flavour.
Piecey Num Nums
This small Thai/Vietnamese restaurant is a lovely little hidden gem. Located in the WTC (World Trade Centre) Wharf precinct on the north bank it is just a few steps away from the Seafarers Bridge which links to the South Wharf restaurant/shopping precinct. I have dined here a number of times but I must admit I have not tried their Pud Thai or Pho! Rice Paper Roll - $5 each The prawn rice paper rolls were delicious. Full of fresh vegetables and herbs. I love the translucency of the rice paper. Dumplings - $5 The steamed prawn dumplings with a soy dipping sauce were very moreish little morsels. Spring Rolls And .. Spring Rolls Now I didn't have the spring rolls but according to my friend who ordered them, she definitely ordered spring rolls on two different occasions, but as you can see they arrived looking quite different! Maybe different chefs on different days Either way she enjoyed both versions. Neither of us can remember what she was
The World Loves Melbourne
Pud Thai v Pho is another winner in Docklands with a splash of authenticity and a location with fine views. The name of this place gets to the point - 2 fine Asian dishes that most of us consume bucketloads of. Vietnamese and Thai influences. I used to be a Pud Thai bloke but Pho has arrested me in recent times. With quirky pieces throughout the restaurant (including an "On Air" sign) there is a sense of fun and character. The fit out is modern and its pleasant sitting outside as well as in.
Gastrology
