Hands down the best value for money cafe I have been to in Melbourne. When I say value for money I don't mean huge American cafe style portions, I mean really consistently good quality food for 10-12 dollars. Staff are friendly and efficient. It's always busy but the turnover is quite quick and they staff the place really well. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!
Came to Melbourne for the weekend with my granddaughter and happened upon this place. Great service, well priced food that tasted amazing ( best pancakes ever!!) and some really helpful advice about our safety concerns whilst in the 'big smoke' . Great breakfast which made the rest of our day memorable too, thanks so much , we'll tell all our friends where to come next time they're in town too.
Brilliant food has been a tradition Friday lunch here for a few year. Burgers are sensational
Summer eating outside in the sun is pleasurable
Winter just a little chilli however out side still great just to watch the world go by eating great food
Place is always business hence a good illustration of how good it is
Great food! Great Service! It is always busy here which reflects how well this business is operated from all levels! I highly recommend Corner & Bench! Haloumi Burgers on Fridays are AMAZING!!
When I was in Melbourne for work this place was our go to for breakfast, lunch or even for a snack. Most amazing coffee, delicious food & the staff are so friendly! Definitely check it out Melbournites!!!
Fantastic service. Friendly, warm greeting when we arrived. Also happily made us breakfast items after the time window. Food was delicious and well presented. Will recommend to friends.
Omg!! Work around the corner for ages never found this shop before it's perfect as is the food!
So happy! Will be visiting on a regular basis
Brillant food at great prices, the chef's daily lunch special for about $10 is always a winner, the slow cooked braised beef ragu is a fav!
Super yum food & coffee! Amazing service 🙌🏻
Absolute value for money. Fantastic atmosphere and the food is phenomenal.
The staff are always friendly and welcoming.
VERY busy at breakfast and lunch. Worth getting in early for.
Great breakfast! Awesome staff!
Excellent breakfast options, friendly and helpful staff and the coffee is magnificent.
Delicious breakfast and beautiful service. Definitely be back
Thanks guys for another hearty meal! Good atmosphere, good people and great food
Ultimate breakfast burger was ultimate. Good coffee.
Awesome place to have lunch! Fridays are always saved for burgers!

Visited here for a quick coffee and loved their coffee roast! Amazing coffee to kickstart the day! Their ham and cheese toastie is also very nice!
A really good place, located on a great corner location; hence the name. Corner and Bench gets really busy, so I try to avoid coming at peak times. They do a great trade in takeaway coffee and food, with lots of great options such as sandwiches, salads, cakes and pastries. If you are lucky to get a table it's a great place to enjoy a cuppa.
It's a nice and light place, with lots of windows; and the staff are lovely even when it's busy. We enjoyed some hand made scones which were lovely and fresh, and the coffee was also really good. It's a pleasant cafe to visit when in this part of the city.
I come here all the time and it is one of my favorite places for lunch. The food is tasty and reasonably priced, ingredients used are fresh and the staff are always really friendly. I particularly enjoy the $6 breakfast special on Fridays (scones with cream and jam)!
Corner & Bench is the perfect cafe for busy people and takeaway lunches! They have a wide variety of dishes (all really yum) along with a salad bar - their salads are really hearty and filling, and by far one of the best value salads around ($11 for 3 salads of your choice). Highly recommended!
I come here with my girlfriend any morning we need a pick-me-up before work (more often than not!) and the service and food is always incredible.
The food is all made fresh, the coffee is some of the best in Melbourne, and the staff are always so friendly and welcoming.
I also think it’s one of the cheapest breakfast deals around at $5 for a coffee & a snack. I’ve loved tasting all their different treats. I especially recommend the white chocolate and berry muffin, warmed up just enough to get gooey in the middle 🥰

There’s a lunch crowd on weekday - and it’s not surprising! The grilled chicken roti I had ($10) was delicious and filling for a petite sized woman hha. They used chicken thigh which can be quite fatty, but of course more tender. Coffee is also not bad. Great for a pick me up on a weekday! Happy to try salads next
Nice little cafe on Bourke street with a nice variety of food to choose from.
Friendly and helpful staff. Ordered a Lasagna take away.
Absolutely delicious, little bit on the spicy side but loved it! Definitely coming back!
During work lunch times, this place is chock a block with lines out the door. The salads are very popular, and their al la carte menu has variety. The worker crowd line up in an orderly fashion, know what they want, and stand to the side and wait patiently.
Service is friendly, there's lots of staff running around, but it's organised and effective. It's all hands on deck at lunch time.
I got their special of the day which was pulled pork with a roasted cauliflower, kale and sweet potato salad. It was delicious, and well worth the wait. For $12, it was delicious, filling and worth its value.
I look forward to trying new things.
Food was delish and staff were super friendly and accommodating 🙂 Would defs recommend if you need a peaceful breakie/lunch at really good prices!
A thoroughly enjoyable cup of coffee. The latte was extremely smooth and dreamily rolled off the tongue. There was a marvellous selection of sandwiches and other bakes that look delicious.
I recently discovered this place and loving it. They have a wide range of variety from sandwiches, salads to even curries. Have tried the sandwiches so far and they taste great. You can see that they use good quality ingredients. Chicken and avocado sandwich my favourite and it's $8.50 which is a good price. On a sunny day it's great to dine in outside as the inside of the cafe is pretty compact.
Was introduced to this eatery located in Melbourne CBD by a foodie friend (: Brunch dishes are served with cheaper price range (when compared with other cafes). Tried their lasagne during my first visit and enjoyed it thoroughly. Adequate portion, flavourful serving, nomz.
Brought my visiting friends here for a quick lunch fix as well. The customer service was outstanding as the waiter tried his very best to capture the best portrait for us. The lady at the cashier is friendly while serving the customers too.
I love this place! The burgers here are simple but with every element done just the way I like it. Come here for their daily specials -- there’s always something different, something creative on the menu.
Great burgers here! I had the Beef Burger and it was delicious. The relish was really nice and the beef patty was tender and cooked perfectly. Good value for the price, service was good, staff were polite and friendly. Chips are reeeeally yummy with very tasty seasoning 👌🏻
Located right in the busiest section of Melbourne CBD, I have always blindlessly looked away from this establishment due to the sheer number of patrons lining up during lunch time. That's a mistake on my end cause I definitely should have tried this place much earlier.
I ordered the standard beef burger with chips just as an experiment to see how it would measure against many of the other CBD burger heavyweights. And I'm happy to announce that it's not too far off from the others. The crinkled chips are well seasoned and have just enough crunch to be noticeable. The burger has a brioche bun (which of late seems to be standard) and juicy beef patty with various toppings, giving it the real home made feeling kind of taste. Overall great burger and I'll be looking forward to checking the rest of menu next time.
Tried this place during a lunch break, had their beef burger and chips for $11, great price. Very busy place during lunch, service could use a little bit of improvement, ordered a drink, wasn't sure whether to grab it from the fridge or whether they bring it out to you, brought out my colleagues order first and nearly finished his dish before I got mine, brought mine out and it was the wrong order. Finally got my beef burger, the burger was great, nice brioche bun, nice juicy beef patty with cheese, lettuce, tomato and mustard with crimp chips. Amazing burger and for a great price as well, would definitely come back.
I love corner and bench - the salads are great however... The portion sizes have reduced since last year. Just returned from getting a super yummy large salad to find the box only half full :( The price is still the same but you get less go figure...
Busy cafe esp at lunch time in Bourke St next to Hardware Lane. This place is pumping lol
The cue out the door was HUGE!
I went here on a recommendation and the food is fresh, there are lots of salads and sandwiches to go.
Today I had a chicken and avocado on toasted grain bread. Yummmm
This place is def worth a visit.
Love this place, lovely atmosphere and the staff are friendly.
Food is delicious and haven't tried anything so far that has been less than brilliant.
Would highly recommend to anyone passing by.
Perfect balance between price, quality and quantity. Very tasty and feels like home made food! Nice music and friendly staff. I will definitely come back!
I ordered a Salmon Benny with coffee for only 15 bucks. Both the food and the coffee is tasty! The staff is very friendly too. Definitely a good value of money. Bonus point: It's not as crowded as other cafes nearby. I'm not sure why. But it's good that I don't have to wait on a long queue.
love this place... very healthy and tasty! love their salad most!
the staffs are very nice and efficient... food are freshly prepared... its my first choice when I need to find somewhere to have a light healthy and comfortable lunch... especially sitting in the hardware lane and the sunshine is really beautiful through the tree branchs...
Went there for the first time today and got a take away bacon and egg roll. To be honest, it was pretty amazing!! Generous serves of bacon, egg was still a tiny bit runny, baby spinach and some kind of tasty chutney. I personally prefer my bacon a little cripsier, but that's just personal taste. The staff were friendly and efficient (I only waited 2 minutes tops for my breaky). I'd definitely go back, I'm keen to see what their lunch offerings and coffee is like.
Bright and friendly corner cafe with delectable food and delightful service. Service is prompt and perfect for the lunch rush of the CBD.
Pricing is very reasonable with portions that are filling.
My fav cafe in the city. They have great daily specials. I usually go for a salad which costs $10 and is great value for money. The salad range changes everyday. They use high quality produce. My fav salad mix is the Mexican slaw. This place is always pumping for obvious reasons. 10 out of 10 for great food, decor and customer service.
You can't go wrong here for a weekday lunch. Once you're a regular visitor the staff greet you by name. $11 lunch menu always has something different to try, the best one is Friday burgers! Holumi burger is to die for and the chips are just amazing! If you're looking for cheap good lunch, check this place out.
Exceptional service in store and via phone order. Food is fresh, quick and the lunch specials are always great value for money. Would recommend for a quick and affordable CBD lunch.
So, Corner & Bench is one of those cafés we've walked past plenty of times but never thought to go in. After seeing some reviews and noting they were quite active socially (not to mention enticing photos of pasta), we thought we'd visit on Saturday around lunchtime.
I admit I have mixed feelings. The fare was typical of weekday lunchtime CBD offerings. Nice, but not overly outstanding. (I do have the feeling though that some items on the menu will be better than others, and we will be returning to try something else on the menu.)
Serving size was just right (Yes, not too little, not too much. Enough to get coffee and a sweet in.)
It wasn't too busy, so food came out quite quickly.
Service was very good. From when we arrived to our orders being taken. It was quite refreshing for a change to be served with not only a smile, but like the staff were happy to have every customer that came in.
And to us that is often the deciding factor on returning to a venue.
Looking forward to coming back.
Details: I usually go in hardware lane not on the corner but thought I'd mix it up today! I enjoyed a grilled chicken salad (it was actually the paleo one). Not bad!! I liked the mixture of corn, tomato, avocado and pomegranate.
Decor: Cute melbourne brunch spot! Really liked the apples in the middle or the table (unique touch!)
Service: Really quick so perfect for a lunch break! The man who took my order was so lovely! But as you can tell by the pictures the waitress accidentally gave me a slider (which looked amazing) and dropped my fork then I waited 5 minutes for her to get a fork for me (should have been priority) !

Would like to come back and try something else on the menu. Came here after going to hardware society for a coffee because for some reason they don't do decaf there. Coffees were big and hot. Also tried the cheese and chive scone which I have to say we're an excellent price at $1.50 and tasty to boot.
Good cozy cafe for breakfast situated at the corner of hardware lane. Its name is just as down to earth as its munch. Two thumbs up for the chamomile tea which is composed of visible solid ingredients rather than an ordinary teabag. It's so far the best real 'tea'pot I had in Melbourne. The owner has a heart to deliver good quality cafe food.
Super friendly and great service, nice coffee too, breakfast was delicious and quite freshly made, nice and cozy decorations throughout the restaurant, best recommended !
3 salad for $9, lunch special for $10! Really good value for money, with a wide variety of different food. I really like the roti with grilled chicken, as well as the beef burger with chips. Service is friendly and generally quite quick as well!
Loved their toast with butter and Latte coffee..
Fruit salads and veggie salads are excellent..
The fruits have lot of assorted varieties and
Reasonably priced .
Highly recommend..
Good little spot for a quick bite to eat. Service is really fast and the food quite fresh and yum. My only gripe is the salads which they have between 5-6 only 1 is ever vegan... Isn't that hard to not add the dressing before hand.
Glad I found this place for my last breakfast on my Melbourne weekend. Most of the items on the breakfast menu interested me. Nothing really unusual but slightly different combinations and little extras. I had the supermood which had quinoa, radishes, asparagus, peas, salmon and poached eggs. For $12.50 I thought it was great value, especially since last 2 mornings I've paid $16 for basic breakfasts that most people could cook up every morning themselves. If I was hungrier, I would have needed to order toast as well. My friend had eggs benedict. She enjoyed it but thought it was a little heavier than what she would normally prefer (guess that depends on personal taste). She ordered a tea and liked that they used tea leaves instead of a tea bag.
Got my usual almond latté and it was made very well. Couldn't have enough, coffee in Melbourne is so much better than Sydney... Will have to grab another one in the afternoon
C&B is on the corner of Hardware Lane and Bourke Street, within spitting distance of some Golden Arches. Not sure what Mr McDonald would have made of the competition but The Trough was impressed.
$12 for the standard burger was decent value. The burger was fresh and well built with a toasted bun lettuce leaves still in leaf form and tomato, cheese and sauce. It came with chips, which to The Trough's surprise were CRINKLE CUT. Talk about Xmas in (almost) July!
The Trough has a thing for this style of chip which is sadly harder to find these days than a car factory in Geelong. These chips were excellent. A nice quantity on the plate and nicely crisped too.
C&B was busy but service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast and lunch menus had a good range of options too. The Trough's posse were happy too with their C&B experience. Well worth a visit.
Burgers were back on the Swine's plate today as he ventured to popular city cafe Corner & Bench for a quick lunch. As it turns out The Swine has been here on a number of different occasions and always ordered the 12 dollar burger and chips. Boring? Well absolutely - but this is testament to how much the Swine enjoys the burger! Its a basic beef burger but is very very adequate. The Swine likes! Crinkle Cut chups as part of this combo only makes it betterer - good deal. The Swine thinks kudos to C&B as the place was pumping - packed - so they are obviously doing something right! The Swine squad squished onto a table for a decent feed and chatter. Obviously the menu is broader than burgers. The Swine must extend himself and order something different next time. There will be a next time - well worth checking out!
This place is situated on a corner but I didn't see many benches. Shame on you Corner & Bench! This fake name was made much better however because of my delicious turkey sandwich. Fresh, tasty...etc.
Was looking for a lunch spot with a high score in this area and found this one on zomato. Went for a business lunch. We both took the lunch special; slow cooked braised beef over an ancient grain salad. It was very nice, filling & very good value for $10. The beef was too salty, so there is still room for improvement. We sat on the big table, which was fine. There is no table service.
The toilet was very dirty, they should keep an eye on that.
Coffee not great.
Corner and bench has been one of my go to early breakfast places whenever I am in town for work. The location is central, their coffee is good and reliable. The staff always friendly and cheerful and it brightens my day when I come here for brekkie. The menu is simple but done well. This place is popular in the mornings for coffee and there could be a bit of a queue but they are efficient and the wait is never too long.
I had a cappuccino and forgo my usual muffin but instead opt for fried eggs on toast to start my day. The fried eggs was done well and the combination simple but delicious. The coffee smooth and blend strong - a great caffeine fix early in the morning.
Overall a great place with reasonable prices, good coffee and simple food that is done well and located centrally. Ticks all my boxes for an early morning brekkie.
The food is delicious and worthy~ very good brunch~ people are so nice and enthusiastic~ the location is convenient
We will go there again:)
Great food, great spot, great vibe, great freshly squeezed OJ, just great all round really. I didn't like the ordering and paying at the counter which meant a second tax invoice for the extra coffee we had but really - first world problems!
Highly recommended.
Corner & Bench has some great lunch choices and also some delicious scones on Fridays. I love the raisin scones :) the place is small so it can get a bit crowded during the peak times but overall, a nice atmosphere.
Finally found a real cafe with a great breakfast and freshly squeezed fruit options. Bacon was tasty and freshly cooked and poached egg nicely done. Will return on my next visit to Melbourne.
Corner and Bench is a minimalist and relaxingly set café located on the corner of Bourke Street x Hardware Lane. I would totally recommend this place for first dates, or if you want to complete any tasks in quiet while enjoying some good coffees. I opted for the Three Amigos ($13). It was a tad salty for my preference, but still enjoyable. The tortilla was super soft and the beef was appropriately tender. It was slicked up by the tangy flavour and a hint of fiery taste. Not forgetting the sweet yet crunchy corns.
Coffee... Awesome.. Breakfast... Amazing...
I love my Eggs Benedict, and this place has mastered it, from the fresh ingredients used, to how it's displayed on the plate, all show a lot of care and time going into the meals prepared by the obviously very talented chefs, oh and the hollandaise sauce is insanely good.
The restaurant has been well designed, nice and bright and puts you in the right mood to enjoy the delicious food, it's a shame it ends so quickly.
I highly recommend this place, It's my top choice for breakfast in the CBD, you will not be disappointed!!
Above-average lunch spot in the CBD. Open on Saturday but not on Sundays (no wait for brunch in the CBD? Win!!)
Healthy options such as salads and good protein dishes (fish) available. Eggs dishes are solid too.
Nothing fancy here but the quality is good, the food is tasty, and prices are reasonable. No complaints - this place always hits the sweet spot.
Great food and fantastic atmosphere. We ordered the supermood with toast & avocado, and a standard burger which were very filling and tasty. However, we could not order the drinks we wanted ( Ice mocha & Milkshake) due to machine problem? Which let us down a bit.
Great workday lunch spot. Can be crowded but customer service is never lost no matter how busy.
Would say that food is fair but not outstanding - but a great convenient location and fair pricing. Highly recommended!

Really, really great cafe. The food here is fresh and there's a lot of variety. Choose from plates of super tasty salads, or order off the menu. I had a selection of salads and my friend had the burger, and both were delicious. They came out surprisingly quickly, considering how many people there were in the place. They're great at what they do, and I can't wait to come back again.
Really like this CBD café. Nice atmosphere, well priced lunch. Coffee is really good.
The only negative is the wifi isn't very good.
The best breakfast we've had in Melbourne so far & coffee was pretty good as well.
Great spot and friendly atmosphere, will be back for sure !
Corner and bench has amazing staff, backed with amazing food. The consistency in their range of brunchy selections on display are all scrumptious and their baked eggs are on point. Great little hidden cafe - do try!
Improved heaps since my last visit a while back, as far as menu and food is concerned. Wall menu is actually a little harder to read, had to resort to the usual menu on our table in the end.
Had the fish tacos and a juice. Food and service were great but split bills took a while to sort out. Will be back for another try if I'm in the area.
Pleasant staff , good service , and food enjoyable.
I had a quick simple breakfast - scrambled eggs with about side. Multigrain sourdough was great.
Coffee ok but not to personal standards - double shot skinny .
Music was full on at 7.15 but toned down when customers started arriving.
10/10 customer service! Great food, even better coffee and awesome vibe!! I trek from one side of the city to Corner and Bench just because they are so great! 👍
A bright airy location and moderately busy this morning. I was pleased with the late breakfast that I ordered - poached eggs on sourdough and a cafe latte. The service was quick and friendly. I'll probably come back again if I am around here next.
I think this is the best bacon sandwich I have had. From the bread to the bacon to the dollops of mayo in it everything was fresh nice and amazing.
The best thing was the price point. Everything is priced at the best. You are definitely not going to feel the pinch because the quality of food that your tummy will be filled will be superb
The worst out come of the entire breakfast was that I can never have the bacon sandwich anywhere else. :(
Great selection of different choices ranging from curries to lasagne. I had the lasagne and it was amazing !!!!!!! Big portion for the price
Looking for a coffee before the start of a Saturday class, and lucky to spot Corner & Bench on my way up on Bourke street. This corner cafe has everything from coffee to lunch, which gives me a good impression on good staff service and great taste of cappuccino even as a take away one. Would definitely come back and introduce it to friends!
My father is from the U.S it's rare he will say he likes a sandwich from anywhere in Australia. Having tried my fathers sandwiches he makes at home and the ones in the U.S I can't say I blame him.
Anyway he tried the turkey sandwich and he raved on and on about it. This tells you go to this place, buy it and eat it right now!!! I tried a piece of his and I can reconfirm, it is everything it should be.
Onto the next segment. Coffee's are good, so is the food from the menu for lunch. The curry has a nice little kick but a little too sweet, otherwise nice. I'll stick to their sandwiches!!!!
The staff here are amazing.
I'm a big fan of Corner and Bench, especially the $5 breakfast deals. The Friday scones are superb. Muffins are mostly delicious and crunchy, can improve with its consistency. C&B offers a great variety of lunch with great value of money, I especially like the salad.
Perhaps customer service can be improved a little more. On the way to grab my $5 brekky special today I discovered there was a small plastic sheet in my coffee. I politely informed the barista, he apologised, took it well and collected the sheet for examination. It would have been nice if he offered to exchange a coffee. Not a big deal, I'm sure he'd have if I asked. I will still be a returning customer to C&B!
They surprise me everyday with their lunch special.
Exceptional great customer service, great food and most importantly it is value for money!
You can grab a decent food from there even if you have tight budget!
Salad with three choices at $9, you wouldnt want to miss this! Generous portion, good price! Why not?
My favourites from there are cheese toasties, salads, chips and lasagne.
Everything tastes healthy and make me keep returning there for my lunch and my coffee date!
Had a fantastic experience at Corner & Bench today. Service was prompt despite being really busy. You order and pay at the counter then they bring the food to your table. Our food came in 5 minutes! Today's $10 special was the beef stew. It was the perfect winter warmer for a gloomy day. Very tasty, although I would have liked it hotter. The lamb korma ($12.50) however, came steaming hot, which we were very happy about. We also had the frittata with a side salad (pear and walnut) for $10. Overall the food was delicious and unbelievably cheap. Can't wait to come back to try more menu items!
---------------
Return visit:
Dropped by to take away a salad for lunch the other day. For $9, I got a huge serving of three delicious salads: Falafel & Cous cous with yoghurt dressing, Pear & Rocket, and Chickpea. My favourite of the bunch was the Falafel & Cous cous. The falafels were wonderfully crunchy and tasted fantastic. The cous cous had a variety of different ingredients throughout, providing it with all sorts of wonderful textures - crunchy, chewy, crispy. There was some sort of dried fruit in the salad (Dried cranberries? Sultanas?) that I particularly loved. The Pear & Rocket was my next favourite. The pear slices were so refreshing, and the generous walnut halves gave the salad a lovely crunch. Although the chickpea was my least favourite, it was still very tasty.
At $9, this is a bargain! Don't know why it took me so long for a return visit but Corner & Bench will definitely be one of my top go-to lunch spots for when I'm in the office.
It's absolutely my favourite and must go cafe on my working days. Staff are friendly. Food is divine. It's the only cafe that I want to try all their display and menu so far. Strongly recommended!
Value for money, really good quality food. The lamb korma was delicious. My only complaint is that they don't open later, as I keep missing their open times.

Corner & Bench is a keeper. It's one of the more popular cafes in the Hardware Lane area. And unlike most of the places on Hardware Lane, there is no touter trying to get your business. There's plenty of seating, however, the place is popular so you'll have to be quick to get a spot. Service is friendly. Simple, unfussy and tasty - what more can you ask for? I love the name of Corner & Bench. It always seems popular and full of people during lunch time. The menu is varied, with typical semi-gourmet sangers for sale, coffee, a nice range of cooked homestyle/cafe-y meals and changing specials. With reasonable prices you're looking at a tasty, healthy lunch. Ms B got a freshly made vegetarian spaghetti dish. A big plate of spag loaded with thick meaty mushrooms that's tossed through with fresh tomato sauce, chopped parsley and parmesan. She loved this. I went for the soup of the day - minestrone. This was very yummy and flavousome. This wasn't a mediocre tinned tomato based soup - this was proper soup that's been bubbling on the stove top. Lots of fresh chunky tomatoes, finely diced root veg and small cannellini beans, topped with parsley. It came with toasted bread. Filling but light and very tasty - one of the best minestrone I've ever had. Verdict: we loved it
The is a great cafe. Friendly staff and the baked eggs with beans were to die for. Recommend 100%. I never write reviews but this place deserved it.

I go here first thing in the morning just to grab a "choc chip espresso muffin". Warm it up for 20 seconds, and it's Devine. The right amount of espresso with the right amount of melted chocolate to make a perfect treat. Though the muffins are quite big in size so could even be shared (but they're so good, you'd want it all to yourself!). They sell out fast though (usually by 10/11am! That's why I go first thing or call them & pre-order for later!)
Excellent!. Always amazing food:)
Very rarely do I walk into a cafe and want to eat every item on display. This place makes me want to go back for breakfast, morning, lunch, afternoon
$10 lunch specials are adding to my waist line!
Top stuff. You have to love a place where you walk and you get a hello from multiple staff members. But the Bacon and Egg roll is one of the best, if not, the best bacon and egg in b/w bread that I have ever had. The chipotle sauce and the pinch of green with the spinach are winners. Gorgeous.
I have been here a number of times and every item I have purchased has been impeccable. The muffins are delicious and actually taste homemade, unlike other cafes that just buy food in from other suppliers. Being on Hardware Lane and attracting people that work in the area, the cafe has a strong Melbourne CBD buzz. Will definitely return.
Great all round cafe. A 'stumble on' venue for a recent Saturday brunch, this corner cafe proved an excellent find. The service was mostly friendly and efficient, with staff who seemed to be enjoying themselves in their jobs. Range of food choices was excellent, and the coffee good too. Prices were very reasonable, and all up felt we'd found quite a little gem.
Fantastic.. Chicken Schnitzel & Cous Cous Lunch Special mind blowingly awesome for $10. Would have been stoked with it as a $25 dish.
Pineapples on the table?!?!. The cheese toasties were off tap! delicious food and great service :)
Nice coffee and breakfast. Staff are really bubbly and friendly, don't know how hey do it in the morning.
We arrived Melbourne after a long flight. Walked around CBD and come across this cute cafe. Its like a home away from home. Staff are very friendly and the food was delicious. Service was quick and coffee is excellent. Had their signature dish Burger $ Chips. Most delicious. My partner had pumpkin soup and served with honey walnut gluten free toast. She loved it. Highly recommended. We are coming back to try their breakfast menu. Less than $15
I love the take away breaky offerings at Corner & Bench, the coffee's very good and the service and staff are GREAT! They're doing everything right, well done guys.
