Review Luxbite - Melbourne

Vladimir Velikov
Love it!!! Delicious desserts with history... I've been a LuxBite customer for so long but never post anything before, but last time catering experience was wonderful. Great work and thank you to all staff! I appreciate that you consistently look after my order and inform me over the phone regarding the status. Very good customer service and good communication, rare in Melbourne! Thank you!

Ordered online which was stress-free and easy. Picked up my order and was amazed by the wonderful range of goodies available in-store, will definitely be back!! The cake itself was fantastic, perfectly balanced and looked wonderful.

The desserts are good, not too sweet. A bit expensive but worth trying. The croissants are nice and crispy and there are interesting flavours. The tiger tart had unique flavours and good textures. The Portuguese tart was quite expensive for its size and not fresh when we got it in the afternoon. There were lots of macaroon flavour options and I liked that they weren’t too sweet. Packaging is nice and good for gifting.

One of my favourite cake shops in Melbourne! The cakes, desserts and pastries are Luxbite never disappoint - they’re not too heavy, not too sweet, and have the perfect flavour combinations. I recently tried their I Heart You cake which was delightful! It was super light, almost like a light ice cream cake, with a nice tartness from the jam in the centre. Another one of my favourites is their Endless Love cake, which is inspired by the famous Ispahan. It’s basically a giant lychee and rose macaron - super light and delicate. If you’re looking for a place to get a cake then LuxBite is definitely a must try!

Popped in to grab some of their Macau Portuguese tarts and snapped up a pandan cream croissant as well. The egg tart looks dry and stale but it’s INCREDIBLE. The pastry is flaky, the custard isn’t too eggy nor sweet. I highly recommend getting the box of 6 for $20 because two wasn’t enough! The pandan croissant was light and crisp, and the cream wasn’t too sweet or runny so it stayed in the croissant. Pandan always has a strong flavour and it was well balanced in this croissant. Will definitely be back to try more cakes.

Love their yoghurt based cake. Slightly expensive but amazing taste and items. The place is not very big, have always opted for take away.

Nice lovely cakes. Limited selections but focused on producing quality over quantity. Very friendly service. Great place for an afternoon coffee and delicious cakes

I have purchased a number of cakes and croissants from this venue and my favourite is the matcha stick croissant. I loved everything else that I have tried here but the cream is so perfect and the matcha flavour is of a high quality. I wish My croissant lasted forever. Ever lasting matcha croissant please, that or I’ll have to keep visiting and getting my croissant 🙂

This is a very lovely cafe, with wonderful lighting and atmosphere which gives off a very fancy and quaint vibe. The sweets are delicious and attractive and the customer service is top notch. Highly recommended!

Loved the houjicha croissant for an afternoon tea treat. The buttery flakey pastry hit the spot!

Thank you for making the amazing watermelon mousse cake last night for my cousins 50th. The cake was amazing. Your guys are the best. ⭐️⭐️

Purchased the Lolly Bag cake yesterday for my daughters 12th birthday & questioned that the spearmint buttercream was missing but was reassured that it was there but the color just wasn’t as vibrant this time. Got it home & not only was the color not vibrant but the flavor was very faint too! Very disappointing for such an expensive cake not to mention the drive all the way from Berwick. Not a happy customer

Beautiful treat in Melbourne. All of the treats were devine.

The cakes are not only tasty but pieces of art in themselves. Worth a visit ***

Amazing Cakes & Coffee! The cakes look so perfect, you don't want to eat them, but of course, that's the best part! Delicious, will def be returning!

My partner ordered a cake for our friend’s birthday and included the delivery date in the notes section on the website, as per the instructions available on the website. However, due to a website bug, the note was not received by the shop, which resulted in the cake coming a week earlier. After my partner emailed and called the shop, their respond did not meet even the least of our expectations, where in essence, not only were they telling us to be satisfied with the cake despite the wrong delivery date, but the shop also claimed that the problem was on my partner’s part for not reading additional instructions to email the store for delivery dates specifications. Additionally, the shop lady did not provide my partner with a clear answer regarding our issue, and instead told her to deliver the cake to our friend a week earlier than her birthday. In the end, my partner’s case was left without a follow-up for days up to today. We are not trying to claim a full refund. We just want this shop to reconsider their customer service and order policies to better suit the preferences of those of their customers.

We ordered the brown sugar bubble tea croissant and the Kuma cake the day before and it came at a good time.
I really liked the croissant. The croissant itself was just as well made as the fillings (very buttery and flaky) and the boba balls were a nice contrast in texture. The bubble tea custard cream was also very nice, not too strong which I appreciate as I find it hard eating strong tea flavours.
The Kuma cake was also very tasty. Initially I was worried about the taste of the banana cream because I don't like bananas, but it was more subtle, so I could really enjoy the flavours. I think the strawberry flavour was a bit too subtle, but I enjoyed it anyway.
The only problem I had was the delivery time, but I live probably almost an hour away from their store, so I can't blame them, and they maintained good social distancing when they delivered it.
Most of cake are so beautiful and cute like an art. So very good for taking photo but taste is just so so. I bought many different cakes mix. But each of cakes I cannot finish . One bite was enough . Sorry Not my style maybe it’s overestimated cuz of decoration or presentation?

This shop may have good looking cakes yet never try their delivery service these days! They charge a lot for their delivery service yet providing poor services. Poor management on their workflow and cruel policy on customer. The driver have very limited patience, and I feel been ripped off. Buying a cake for the loved one should be a happy thing however I end up feeling really upset.

The Lolly Bag Cake is really delicious and the different layers and textures are fun to eat. But it’s just very expensive for a tiny portion size, we had to cut slithers for our guests.
Deng
The durian croissant was amazing! Best filled crossaint.

Madame Coco, this cake is fantastic and as elegant as its name. What a beautifully balanced, creamy cake and not too sweet. Absolutely could not stop at just one slice. Total crowd pleaser for a group of hard-to-please eaters.

Placed an online order for takeaway due to the COVID-19 lockdown. Ordering process was very easy; friendly service in-store!

The Epic Chocolate Cravings cake was delicious, and the perfect portion for one. The cake pairs very well with the hazelnut crust, and the salted caramel-filled truffle is to die for!

I also ordered a Vanilla & Almond Croissant which was nice, nothing special but hey, it’s supposed to be sweet and simple! I bought the Rose, Raspberry & Lychee Croissant for a friend and she said it was really good too!

I can’t wait to try the other items on their menu.
Steph
One of the best, of would I say the best macaroons you can find in town. Made to perfection 💯 Obviously not cheap being macaroons but defo worth every penny.

Spotted a couple of Groupon deals, which can go down to as low as $1-2 each.

🗓 Visited in 2017

Luxbite’s croissants come with very innovative asian flavours that are familiar and loved: matcha, pandan, taro and brown sugar boba! I went straight for pandan because honestly, who can resist pandan flavour? Growing up, I remember pandan leaves being mixed in with asian dessert snacks, so I will always have a soft spot for it.

Croissant itself was not warm (and I prefer warm croissants) but it was flaky, crispy and cooked well. It was also BURSTING with pandan cream - the dish will get messy! Best to either it at home or at the store itself, not while walking around.
Pandan cream was delicious - good texture and consistency, wasn’t too sickeningly sweet and had strong hints of pandan leaves. I won’t fault you for licking your fingers, because just like fried chicken, this was quite yum.

Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ambience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Presentation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have always been a bobba lover! This time i tried this croissant with a bobba fillings 🤭😬 no words to describe how much i love this! I bought 4x and came back for more the next day ! 😬😬 loving al the flavours the the ambience of the place

Had this cake for birthday, honestly I love the thought of it and how it signifies ‘endless love’ in their description. However it tasted very bland. Cannot believe that it was priced over $50 for each cake for something that taste so little. I had 5 bites from this and I already knew where it was going, I can’t bare to finish the rest.

For anyone wondering got the ‘big heart’ and ‘endless love’. Sad to say I came with a broken heart and deathless pain.

Their Pandan croissant is the best! It’s buttery and flaky on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside. The pandan cream is very fragrant and the sweetness is just right. I have tried their seasonal taro bubble tea croissant as well but to be honest the pearls are too hard. If it’s softer I would definitely recommend it. Their seasonal lava salted egg “bo lo baau” is delicious and worth a try.
Tessa
I’ve been multiple times and usually pretty happy with the quality of desserts and coffee. I did have a bad coffee on one occasion but overall a solid place. Loved the almond croissants and I try a new dessert every time!

I had the opportunity to try LuxBite’s creations at Sweet Set earlier this year and the experience blew me away!

Eclair with vanilla, raspberry & lychee yoghurt, grapefruit - loved this one so much! It reminded me of their Endless Love dessert with the flavours of lychee and raspberry. It was fruity, light and creamy.

Canelé, Sai Thomé 70% dark chocolate, genmaicha, brownie, caramel, black salt - it looks like a beautiful gold Canelé on the outside, but the inside is a whole different dessert. The genmaicha and dark chocolate mousse were so light and creamy and paired perfectly together. I loved the addition of black salt which really complemented the dessert. I just wish they could put this on their permanent menu at LuxBite!

We also got a complimentary salted caramel spread to take home. It’s honestly so addictive!

Enter into a world of desserts at Lux Bite! They specialize in amazing desserts and patisseries and never disappoint. They have a good range on the menu and on display in the cafe and you'll be spoilt for choice here. Had the macarons, kuma cake and croissants and I will be back for more

Located in the heart of South Yarra discover LuxBite Patisserie and Cafe, the home of the ‘Lolly bag cake’ as seen on MasterChef. At LuxBite they offer a beautiful range of innovative desserts, pastries and macarons made using a blend of traditional French techniques and Asian flavours to deliver a stunning array of delectable desserts that will truly tantalise your tastebuds.

Will come back for:
+ Kuma cake

Always loved the desserts here. They are generally not too sweet, texturally delightful and taste just delicious. We had the kuma cake today which was a a great little treat to share amongst a couple of us for a bit of an afternoon snack. The biscuit base was crunchy and tasty and the top pillowy and gelatinous. Sweet but not too sweet. Service was efficient and friendly, and pricing is above average but worth it for that special treat.
What can I say?! All of the goodies we purchase we're delicious.

We tried:
- Durian Crossiant
- Taro Bubble Tea Crossiant
- Brown Sugar Tea Crossiant
- Matcha Crossiant
- Rose Lychee Macaroon
- Pandan Coconut Macaroon
- Green Tea Pistachio Macaroon

Definitely worth the drive to South Yarra and the price. Can't wait to go back and try different flavours!! 🥰

Hands down the best croissants in Melbourne!! I absolutely LOVE every single Creative creation of Luxbite’s as well as the classics, never get bored of them. My favourites are the Pain Au Chocolat, Almond Nutella and Lychee rose! The croissants are always fresh, crispy and so fragrant.
The Over Indulged
Asian inspired French patisserie cafe. Huge marbled table welcome upon arrival, limited space on a busy weekend. Loving the delicate dessert as they are not too sweet yet full of flavours. Each bite is a whole new experience. My all time favourite, WEIS and Endless love cake. One of the best croissants in town as well. Lava salted egg served to die for and pandan cream croissant. Bring me back to Malaysia!
AaronN
Came here for dessert after a disappointing lunch elsewhere and we're really impressed with the desserts on offer. We found the desserts tasty, beautifully presented and had great textures. The desserts were so good we decided to get an almond and choc croissant which also ended up being great. Highly recommended.

Loved the croissants and the cakes were awesome!
The lady who served us was very polite. Will definitely return for more

Well done Lux Nite
Makan2Melbourne
Ordered their kuma cake for a friend’s birthday. I ordered It was described as a play on milkshake flavours, like chocolate, banana, strawberry, vanilla. My favourite part of the cake was the distinct banana flavour from the cream. It had different textures from the chocolate sponge cake, white chocolate mousse, banana cream, choc chip cookie, and caramel glaze. It was not overwhelmingly sweet and it was really delicious! Definitely recommended for birthdays or special occasions.

Love their matcha latte, best one in Melbourne! Recommend their truffle croissant while it lasts. The truffle cream was really delicious, loved it. The meringue monster was okay, it was light, but I would prefer a more flavourful one.
PS91
Small busy cafe that serves up beautifully created cakes and sweet treats. Although the cakes aren’t really to my taste, it’s still a lovely place for a coffee and cake indulgence while people watching as it’s a very popular place with constant traffic.
Littlefoodiekiki
Was looking for last minute birthday cake which we stumbled across Lux. Impressed by the novelty cakes and the cleanliness of the store it definitely earned a 5 star. We didn't sit down to have cake but did take away coffee's. Would say the coffee's arent fantastic but can't expect too much when their focus is on cakes.
Can't say the cakes were irresistible but definitely a lot better than a lot of cakes I've had. I would say the cakes quality are very similar to Zumbo in terms of flavour, texture and freshness but definitely Luxbite is better in presentation
Dee Dee
Cute dessert. Polite staff. Cafe is not big but not too busy when we were there. Like the clean design of that place. Dessert has a good balance of sweet and sour taste and fruity fragrant. Not too sweet.
Eat_today_diet_tomorrow
Love love love ! We have heard so much about this place and yes! they did not disappoint us. We tried their tasting plate in take away box. Every cake was cute and delicious!

The infamous salted egg croissant, for that price - it better with worth it .

I’ve been to lux nite a few times and every time have deterred me further. This was no exception.

Subtlety hint on salted egg and the pastry itself is quite dense compared to other croissant masters.
Needless to say , it wasn’t worth the calories for me to finish it off
Can't go wrong. Come here and eat till your blood sugar rises with happiness. The tasting plate was great to give you a taste of all the desserts they have available.
Nomnom
Very talented bakery, with creative and beautifully design cakes. Being a sweethtooth with low sweetness tolerance, I find that cakes are very well balanced in flavours.

What a cute little spot !
I’d go here to satisfy my sweet cravings and to have a relaxed time.
The girls at the counter were helpful and always friendly.
I didn’t love their Rose latte (in flavour) but it sure looked amazing, so I went for the colour in it.
On the other hand their cakes are pretty and delicious! It’s everything that your instagram posts want ;)

If you’re in South Yarra and are looking for a place to satisfy your sweet tooth, you should definitely check out LuxBite!

Their signature tea set is a great sharing platter between a few people, and allows you to try a bit of everything! Their bread and butter pudding was sooooo good - it was warm and was served with a panda sauce! Highly recommended.
Lunarcry
Desserts we had were both delicious. Especially liked the endless love which is their number 1 bestseller. Also took home some macarons - delicious flavours. I would skip the iced tea.

This is the most magnificent dessert ever!! It’s not too sweet at all and is the best ever that I have tasted!! Will definitely be back for more of this amazing desserts :)

3.5 / 5

Very interesting looking cakes they have, and they change it depends on the occasion. So most likely you'll see different design of cakes every season. 5 out of 5 for the creativity.

We came here before Chinese new year, so obviously CNY theme on displays.
I always wanted to try their old time fav, Rilakkuma bear, and hubby chose the piggy cake and we ordered lattes as well.
Kuma cake was too sweet for my liking unfortunately. I gave up my Kuma after 2 bites. I was being naughty and swapped my Kuma with hubby's piggy cake. He didn't mind me, fyi 😍
And ah... The piggy was much better. Layered with raspberry yoghurt I find it very refreshing to have it with my latte.

Service was good and friendly staff.
Bun's Food Diaries
Ive heard of this place but never bothered to locate it so when I spotted it conveniently opposite to a place we had lunch at, I knew I had to check it out. I praise the creativity of their cakes and croissants and fun creations, definitely not your boring same old desserts. Be prepared to pay around $10 for a bite sized cake. I tried the top seller, Endless Love, and a CNY themed cake, the Year of the Pig. You would enjoy if you were into desserts on the sweeter end of the spectrum because they were quite rich, especially the latter. I also tried the bubble tea croissants, it was very creamy and rich...as well as very filling, pearls were just chewy enough. Staff were friendly and service was efficient in my experience. Would come back to try other desserts.
Travel_Food_and_You
Definitely one of the top desserts place that I have visited in Melbourne, Luxbite has the traditional setting of Lunar New Year and the desserts are made to match the theme. We have had the prosperity that have a dark chocolate mousse with a hint of chilli salt which caught me by surprise. A fine combination that is! The year of the pig dessert is a pastry with vanilla tart filling. The appearance was adorable. The prompt service by Yen was top notch as well. Definitely coming back again for more themed desserts.
Narutard
Beautiful flavours but overall too sweet. Lovely ambience and perfect for a spot of afternoon tea. Ordered the Meringue Monster (watermelon green tea chiffon with meringue) and the Kuma tart, which tasted like a banoffee pie.
J0yy173
A patisserie and dessert spot where the East meets the West. The appealing array of macarons, croissants and cakes served to whet our appetite.

Loved the innovation that brought together two of my favourite things: Bubble Tea and croissants. Injected with Matcha cream and pearls, these were too hard to resist. The Matcha flavour was quite strong but a croissant with pearls was just so fun to eat as a combination of textures I couldn't have dreamt of. Would love to try this in a different flavour.

Also got a small box of macarons to take home. Hmm... Pandan and Coconut, Rose and Lychee were definitely my favourites, with light and balanced flavours. The others were Yoghurt, Raspberry and Lychee plus Coconut Calamansi, where the flavours were a bit overpowering for me.
Zoezxma
This is what I received from deliveroo, disgusting. Nothing is good. Don’t know why I spend 38 and 5.7 deliver fee for that. Everything taste like shit.
Crabapples For Lunch
Had a few cute little cakes from here. We originally came for one of their brunch specials but didn't know they sell out quickly. The store was quite quiet when we came and the staff we spoke to were polite and friendly.

The store does quite a lot of marketing and collaborations to bring these 'cutesy' and 'kawaii' style cakes, especially of iconic Japanese characters like Hello Kitty and Rilakkuma, and that no doubt attracts a lot of attention. However, we found the actual taste of the cakes not all that special to be honest. Further, you can tell when you look closely that the cakes aren't as well prepared as they first look (and that's not that uncommon amongst these higher-end patisseries as I mentioned in my other reviews). Considering the high price of these cakes (almost $10), I would rather go to Bibelot where their cakes are made with much more attention to detail and have flavours that are well balanced and a real delight to eat instead. They do cost slightly more though, but if you're willing to pay for one of these cakes, the difference should be negligible.
Emptystomach
Very appealing looking cakes, seasonal flavours. Nothing too spectacular when compare with others such as bibelot, Zumbo or similar. Overall attractive cakes and flavours. For more foodie goodness follow my ig: emptystomach
Wendy
Many thanks to the staff who waited for me to pick up the cake after the closing time. I wasn’t expected such a busy traffic yesterday. Meringue Monster has different flavour in each layers, which gives you a wonderful taste, quite a surprising cake. I love the milky custard with pearls croissant, a great combination of croissant and milk tea with pearls. Will definitely come back to try more yummy goodies.
Ozzy Kunnu
It's a small little dessert place in South Yatra that is known for its Croissants. Sadly, Ozzy loved the croissant he ordered that was supposed to have lychee whereas our friend, who had ordered an Almond Croissant was totally disappointed by his. I had ordered an Endless Love which had overflowing love in the form of Sugar. Tried the rest but didn't enjoy it at all.

This is one of those rare occasions where Ozzy liked something (thus the rating) and I didn't like anything.

Pricing is decent and attendants are very friendly.

P.S. - They don't have a toilet for guests which is so very weird.
Steven Gu
Luxbite. Had the cakes couple times and this time they have the Xmas version. It is nicely decorated and tasty. Not too sweet. Good to try. Definitely recommended to have a try.
Lynn🐵liu
The cake is so cute and beautiful. The cake is delicious. I taste the bear at first, it was made by chocolate, I really like it. The cake does not too sweet.
Linda Davies
I go out of my way to get desserts from here. Everything is so good. Coffee I had was actually pretty average, milk was bordering on burnt and it was scaldingly hot. Would probably never get a coffee again from here. I also got the almond croissant which was great. Highly recommended for sweet lovers
Hungriestsam - Samantha
Got the brown sugar bubble milk tea croissant which was delicious, I loved it! The kumma cake was too rich for my liking. I also got an ice chocolate however I don't recommend getting a sweet drink along with dessert, because it is a lot of sugar (probably really good on its own).
Bigmelbappetite
Omg I had the most incredible croissant at Luxbite!!! It was objected with the creamiest bubble tea flavours and on top on that had boba! So innovative guys I love it 💖
Melbourne Foodie Memoirs
This is our go-to for croissants locally. The plain and the matcha milk spread are our favourites. We also love their meringue monster cake and passion for chocolate cake - both are divine! We will be continuing to work through their menu :) keep up the good work and creativity!
Some Bunee Loves Food
Cute cakes, a variety of flavours in each and they look so cute. I especially like the panda and rilakkuma bear! Very cute and they are very yummy.
Vivian
Love the cakes here , they are so elegant and “luxe” the Lilly bag cake which appeared on Masterchef is truly a signature , so many layers of delicious sweet flavours that still manages to be balanced out perfectly
I also love the green tea cheesecake . Keen to try them all
Rifan Thamrin
I'm not a big fan of dessert, but I don't mind coming to this place! Love their matcha cheesecake! Their filled croissants are pretty good but it can be quite rich. It's a walking distance from South Yarra station.

21/10/2018: its my birthday today and I woke up seeing all these goodies waiting for me! My lovely husband surprised me by travelling all the way from west to St Yarra to buy these yummy goodies for me.

He told me that the service is really good, he reached the outlet before they opened but the staffs saw him waiting and quickly arrange to open the door and take his order first. They also served him coffee while waiting — 😁

I love croissant, and I have tried a few famous ones, I think LuxBite really impressive. Their choices are so different from the rest. Omg, if you have not tried them you must go get it!

What did he ordered for me today:
Pandan cream croissant 🥐
Bubble tea croissant 🥐
Taro croissant 🥐
Bo Lo Beau croissant 🥐
Raspberry Rose & Lychee croissant 🥐
Matcha Milk Spread croissant 🥐

•••••>>> The Bo Lo Beau reminds me of the Salted Egg Lava croissant which I have tried in Malaysia, I love this so much! Pandan cream taste very mild pandan which I think is good, too strong taste of pandan is not for me, this is just nice for me. Bubble Tea and Taro, these 2 are so special which they have pearls in it...hmmmm very good and impressive.

However, I don’t quite like the raspberry as I feel its a bit too sweet for me, this is actually for my son and not for me 😂

Overall, I am satisfied 😁 but I need to go jogging 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️

I loveeee this place!! Bought a big Kuma cake for a friend’ birthday and everyone was happy. The cake has a banana milk shake? Taste that was not too sweet and well balanced. My second try was the bubble tea croissant. It was so delicious!! So much milk tea cream inside with chewy bubbles !!
Lauren Neuro-Noopsie
Amazing service with very friendly staff. So much to choose from treat wise. We opted for the caramel banana bear cake but also wish we had the croissant! Great little dessert cafe
Jony Kang
I visited here through the introduction of a Chinese friend. It was a small store than I thought. The taste was really delicious. But not as much as it was rumored. Staff do not welcome customer. I felt like I had a lot of customers besides you. Coffee's not much
Sim Sim
Sadly disappointing. I came here a few years ago when it first opened and it was fabulous. The product looks amazing but if you do a blindfold test you will struggle to identify any flavour. The coffee and tea we had was also well below the standard we expected.
Heard about lux bite ever since their creation of the boba croissant was trending & I finally got the opportunity to do so! 🤤I'm such a huge lover for croissants 🥐 & their unconventional fillings got me super excited! With fillings like durian & boba milk tea, you bet I will pre order in advance! Each crossiants cost about $7+ which I find is reasonable considering how filling they are! 🤰🏻The boba milk tea one was slightly underwhelming for me, the milk tea did not go with the pastry & we did not get the pearls that were promised. 😥Thankfully, the durian one saved the day! It was so delicious and creamy, custardy, sweet & authentic, I loved every bite! 😋In short, it was like a durian cream puff, only the pastry is now much more flaky and buttery, a dream come true! ✨I see myself going back to try their adorable high tea sets 🐻
Sweetoothbrunches
For any sweetooth this is the perfect place. Offering a selction of colorful and tasty desserts you will stuggle to choose just one. So make sure to go with friends so can try them all. I headed in to try their Easter range and let me just say they are so cute and tasty.
Lizzie Eats Melbourne
😱Lizzie’s first impression: I love their south Yarra store and just tried their new taro bubble tea croissants!

🍩Lizzie enjoyed: the croissant was still fresh even after going during the afternoon - the flavour of the croissant was delicious! I also love their tarts and the green tea cake is delicious.

🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: I wasn’t the biggest fan of the durian creamed croissant but it was still great to try.

🥇Lizzie rates overall: A great cafe with many delicious cakes.
Daniel Bamyani
Great Macaroons. A bit overpriced drinks, but it worth it. We had a Group On voucher that gave us 12 mini macaroons for $19. I really think they should reduce their drinks prices.
Lorna
Queenie
If u wanna try the special croissant at this pastry shop, remember to make a reservation first. It’s a pity that when we went to the shop and were told that all croissant were sold out. The pistachio macaroon was not bad. Crunchy outside and not too sweet. The tea was just average, nothing special. I wanna try their croissant so badly!!
FoodBooster
The epic chocolate was rich, similar to the taste of Le petit’s cake in city. A small slice will do or it will be too sweet for someone who is neutral to dessert. Overall it was good.
Donita
Today was my first visit to Luxbite after I saw couple photos of variances filling croissant. The cafe was comfy with enough sun light, the lady was nice and recommended the Taro bubble tea croissant as it was “limited edition”. The croissant was buttery flaky enough, the taro flavour wasn’t strong but the boba inside made this croissant interesting. I’ll give next visit to try other croissants and desserts.
Mai Phan
I heard that my friend introduced their croissants which is so delicious. There are a lot of various flavors such as durian, raspberry,... i want to try durian croissant but it sold out,so i tried raspberry. The taste was so nice. Their dessert is not too much sweet as another.
Grounded Gourmet Globe-Trotter
I got their top four popular desserts as take away to fly back to Brisbane with and surprised by brother for his 21st bday. And it was by far some of the best desserts and flavours we’ve had rather than a standard big cake. Worthwhile the effort and the travel. Hope Lux Bite comes to Qld someday :)

My hubby bought their signature celebration cake ”Endless Love” for my birthday, which is basically a beautiful hot pink macaron in a large size that can feed up to 6-8 persons. I couldn't take my eyes off since the moment when the cake was brought on the table, it was so cute and fancy that every girl would fall for! 😍

I love macarons and it is so divine. The shell had a sweet raspberry flavor, it was firm outside but soft and gooey inside (without sticking to the teeth), guarantee not shattering all over the place when bitting into. The fillings were superb, sooo nice that I drooled when writing the review and thinking back how it tasted. It had a perfect amount of rose cream, fresh lychee, and raspberries, which gave a deliciously tangy and refreshing taste. Sweetness on point 👌🏻, I didn’t feel guilty nor too heavy having a piece as dessert. Additional points were given to the rose cream, it was so smooth and creamy. The best cake I had in Melbourne so far, the whole thing was so elegant and royal. 👑

I heard my husband said it was easy and convenient to make the purchase online, schedule a pickup at the selected shop location. No hassle at all!

You might never come here but you can't only come here once. Situated at a busy Toorak Road, it took my some time to find a car park around here but when we finally made it, the desserts looked heavenly. There are plenty of seats to enjoy your dessert here with a good sun light for your insta pics🙉 Honestly, I wouldnt mind getting a smol treat here as my birthday cake cus I shouldn't eat a whole cake by myself anymore 😭

Heard their durian croissant is back! Ordered durian croissant online and went for pick up on Saturday night. I wish they have an express queue for pick up as it was so crowded and about 15 wait for the queue. Delicious Croissant and great price

It was lux at first bite! A small venue with a communal table, the store had a variety of different cakes on offer. You can purchase the cakes singularly or order the selection of bite sized ones. We chose to order the single cakes (to get a bit more of our preferred choice).

We ordered the Endless Love and Passion by Chocolate! Both were lovely and beaming with flavour but as lovers of chocolate, the Passion by Chocolate is not to be missed! Was a deLUX experience.

They were lovely to look at, some even cute, but some of the cakes were massive wins, and others, not so much... Lovely glossy exteriors with multi-layered and textured fillings. Nice craftsmanship. Just needing some better flavour combinations and options.

Cute and cozy place to be in. The cakes we picked were very yummmm, I also picked earl grey and black current macaron, it was so gooood! Coffee was okay (:

Great place for incredibly beautiful desserts. You do pay a premium for their products but it is worth every cent. This time around, we tried their endless love. Every bite was so enjoyable. The tart raspberries cut through some of the sweetness so you end up with a wonderful balance in your mouth. The only problem with the endless love was that it actually came to an end.....cannot wait to have more luxbite desserts!
Hello. Imnikki
I must be in the minority here in not being absolutely blown away by Luxbite's cakes and pastries. After having tried, amongst others, the Lolly Bag Cake, Lady Coco and pastries from the Lunar New Year range, I found the sweetness too overpowering.

The croissants, on the other hand, are much better than the cakes. Buttery and flaky, there is a satisfying crunch that can be heard when I cut into each and everyone of them. The cream fillings are again a bit sweet, and quite subtle in flavour, but the amazing pastry does a good job of winning me over.

On all occasions, the service has been warm and welcoming, and staffs have been more than happy to help and chat.
Ordered pandan and bubble milk tea croissant (weekly special). The flavour is so good. It is great combination between milk tea flavour and croissant. The pandan is also great. The cream is so light and melt in your mouth.

I would say this cafe is a bit over rated. The service was very slow (20mins wait time for coffee!!!) . Macarons and croissant not very fresh. Coffee was ok.

Can I just crown Lux Bite with many many crowns for creating such amazing desserts and drinks to satisfy my sweet tooth :p

I still remember my friends and I would travel all the way here just to have their sweet treats years back. Zooming to 2018, Lux Bite has still been one of my favourite dessert parlours in Melbourne.

Being famous of its macarons, Lux Bite also has bigger macarons that serve as cakes and gosh they are delicious.

Endless Love - The sensational combination of raspberry, rose and lychee was just on-point and so was the presentation.

Meringue Monster - The watermelon cake hidden in the aesthetic meringue was delicately made and although meringue can be pretty sweet at times but this was JUST NICE! Not too sweet, not too sticky. Texture-wise, taste-wise - O K A Y!

Green Tea Cheesecake - Yumz, I loved the layering of the cakes and each layer tended to bring out different tastes of cheese and green tea goodness to my tastebuds. The matcha taste was not too overpowering and the cheese complimented the green tea well.

Macarons - As I tried out a few different macarons of theirs throughout the years, my favourites from Lux Bite would be their rose/lychee (similar to Endless love), pandan/coconut (which is like KAYA, if you know what that is), earl grey/blackcurrant (who doesn't like a fruity twist of tea) and the salted butter/caramel (gah, the classic!).

Leaving the food aside, I would have to admit that Lux Bite does have limited seating so do give yourself some leway to wait for seats if you happen to visit during peak hours (after-lunch or teatime time perhaps).

Super cute place! Unfortunately I couldn’t stay longer because my friends were hungrier, but the dessert presentation is amazing! I would say it’s a more formal place for catch ups as the dessert is more expensive than average (totally with it though in my opinion). I bought each flavour of macaron on display. Each tasted amazing (I trust my friends’ judgments 😋😋) and all 12 were presented nicely in a box. Would definitely go back to get dessert some time later! 🍮

The meringue monster is a hit among other reviewers, hence, i chose this cake. For me, the cake is targeted towards a younger audience or those with a serious sweet tooth as it is a tad bit too sweet. It has an awesome play of flavor with a matcha base, watermelon souffle and meringue frosting. The cake would have been so much better had the meringue been the "toasty" type for play of texture since the cake is soft overall. Nonetheless, this place imbues LUX both in aesthetics and taste.
Sinfully Delicious
If you find yourself at LuxBite I recommend that you try the Meringue Monster. I’m normally a chocolate person but I love the flavours of the Monster Meringue which is so different and not too rich or sickly sweet. It’s a green tea sponge base with a watermelon yoghurt and strawberry then covered in Meringue. The Kuma was too sweet with a mixture of milkshake flavours.

Been here for the desserts and brunch. The desserts are amazing. Absolutely love the meringue monster and endless love. They aren’t overly sweet and great textures
