Review Roasting Warehouse - Melbourne

Angel Khong
Roasting Warehouse was a cafe that served great coffee and tasty brunch meals. We ordered the standard avo/egg/bacon toast as well as the gingerbread donut French toast. The toast was quite average and a bit dry, but the gingerbread donut French toast was super delicious. Served with poached pear pistachio ice cream and topped with fairy floss, the flavour and texture combinations were lovely. Service was a bit rushed due to how busy they were but overall Roasting Warehouse was a great brunch option.

Overall satisfied experience at this place. We ordered Truffle mushrooms & chicken salad. Flavours were surprisingly good. ( except there was a piece of egg shell in our plate) Coffee was alright, mediocre at best. However, the store customer service doesn’t match with the popularity of the restaurant. 1. Water wasn’t even served 2. Attitudes toward customer was plain , seems like they were all very busy Wouldn’t come again.

I only have been to this place during this Lockdown 6.0 I loved the coffee experience here! The latte has not only a milky flavour but also has strong coffee flavour! Such good balanced coffee always! (I found some place's coffee is only either too milky or too watery.) I definitely would like to come back to try their brunch menu after this period! The shop is also offering free coffee from 1-3.30pm during the lockdown. I appreciate them as they are showing support to the local community!

Incredible coffee beans range. Creative fusion menu. Had a soft shell crab croissant with salad. Friendly staff.

The place was great and the service was excellent. Eggs on toast were over cooked, except for that everything was good

Food was great. Friendly staff and good service. Easy to park nearby.
Eva Huynh
Great customer service, super friendly, approachable and attentive! Food was also great. Good vibes and chill environment :)
Faye K
Good quality coffee, ended up having two coffees.
Meg Donovan
Amazing food menu is very different and staff are very friendly! Pancakes were to die for. Highly recommend

Love the beans, food is now try hard (in the beginning 15 years ago, food was nice) and sometimes you don't even get your food. Tip, if you are going they now keep a list, so don't bother just walking past and hoping to be seated.

Our first visit here and we loved it. Very friendly staff who helped settle us in with our 16 month old grandson. Drink orders taken straight away and food shortly after. Our meals were delicious and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you guys to all of our family & friends. Looking forward to a return visit very soon!

Used to really love this place but think it’s absolutely insane that you can’t swap out a meat item for spinach and are charged for an extra side.
Angelo Moutzouris
Great coffee selection available for us home baristas. Need to try the restaurant. It has a great vibe and the menu looks delicious.

I'm from Perth and this is My fav place in Melbourne. Always consistent and amazing food! Can't wait to see you

Love the establishment. Delicious food & seriously good coffee!

You have lose coffee - you should offer BYO bag to save waste. You certainly shouldn't transfer beans to my reused bag from one of your bags and then throw away the new bag. Ridiculous waste of packaging when I specifically said I wanted to reduce waste #waronwaste

The avocado with chilli is one of my favourite breakfast dishes in Melbourne. Service is A class, love my Saturday mornings here

I love, love, love this place. Staff are like family. Place is very comfortable feeling - modern without being wanky. It's been my favourite cafe for years now and I always get my organic Peruvian coffee beans from there, too.

Clean excellent service, yummy food. Definitely will be back 👍

El Presidente with crumpets is my favourite

Ambiance definitely for coffee lovers! Smiley friendly staff. Good food on the menu!

Lovely serving staff, girl on register a bit slow.

Prior to the Pandemic I would walk past and get a morning coffee. But I’m now not living in Melbourne and I’ve been making my own coffee. Let me say Roasting Warehouse coffee beans are fabulous. Evolve, Early Bird and Happy Days are just awesome. If you love really great coffee buy their beans.
Mandy
Very nice coffee. The ones so good it makes your mood better. Lovely hot cakes but personally think it needs to be shared by 2 people. Love the environment too

Ordered a pickup coffee from here through an app. When I got there, the staff member hadn't even collected the order ticket from the machine. At this challenging time, I am only going to venues that allow pre ordering. Having ineffective processes such as missing orders defeats the purpose. The coffee also did not taste like it had any sugar in it. Won't return.

Soy cap is my fav. Set aside the BLT+egg, yum!

Roasting Warehouse is the perfect spot to enjoy a lazy weekend. Passionate about serving fine coffee, you can expect every cup to be perfect and poured by adept baristas.

On the food front, there is also much to love. For health fiends, the expect hearty, delicious and varied brunch options – there is truly something to suit everyone.

Whatever you do, do not go past the chocolate banana tonka hotcakes. These are simply wonderful. Think fluffy and moist hotcakes that are crispy on the outside, served with layers of banana and Nutella and topped with caramel peanut popcorn, vanilla crème fraiche, tonka foam and fresh raspberries. JUST YUM!

Had a lovely breakfast at Roasting Warehouse today. I got the hash browns. It was basically an eggs benedict with the homemade hash browns for the english muffin. Lovely egg, lovely ham, the hollandaise was fantastic and it went perfect with the hash browns. I just wish I'd had a slice of toast to help sop up all the goodness.

Flat white was lovely too!
Priscilla Yeo
I read such amazing reviews about this brunch place but I was so upset with my Jackie chan meal. Serving size wasn’t big and the combination of ingredients wasn’t amazing too.. totally not worth my 22 dollars. my friend ordered the hash meal as well and only the hash potatoes were good but that was it. And service was very slow and it seemed like the waiters and waitresses were avoiding eye contact.

Friendly staff and lovely location and their avocado and chilli is always delicious. Makes for a good day to visit this place in North Melbourne

Good food and coffee! Totally love the vibe of the cafe. Staff are very attentive.

Great place to have a good cup of vegan latte. Started my day with an almond latte from Roasting Warehouse and feel so good! The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The coffee was good too. Just what I needed!

Great avo chilli scrambled eggs

Been to this cafe twice and they have never disappointed us. This time we went for Sunday breakfast, the cafe was full at 10.00 am! They seem to be popular among locals too.
Today we had some coffee and mint cacao as a drink. The coffee was great but we didnt love the cacao.

Then we had 3 dishes
Acai granola
Eggs Jackie Chan
Avocado & Chilli
They are very generous with their potion especially the avocado. Everything was divine. We love the food and we will come back again for sure.
Sile Raver
The panacotta and chai was nice, but the chai ended up being $6.40 each and my glass was half full and then I was charged an extra 60 cents for what would have been 50ml of extra almond milk.
Caitlinwchallenge
There are so many cafes in the area that I never needed to visit a cafe twice...until I tried Roasting Warehouse! I now have a ‘local’, thanks to the incredible coffee and consistently delicious food. I can’t stop coming back for the avo & chilli breakfast or eggs Jackie Chan. Flawless every time!

The coffee is awesome here, I'd come here for that alone (and have!). Service was quick despite the full house. Staff are attentive and efficient. The food is pretty decent and varied. Wasn't overly impressed with a burger I recently tried eating, don't plan to have that again. It was very salty, the beef patty was fairly dry, and burger bun was quite small. I would have given 5/5 but the burger experience resulted in a point off. Better off sticking to familiar choices like I have in the past when eating here.
Karina J
Delicious coffee. Ideal strength and the perfectly frothed milk left me licking the lid! Keen to return and sample the food!
Liv
Had such high expectations of this place after seeing the great reviews but was unfortunately super disappointed. Ordered the Eggs Jackie Chan and as you can see from the picture I think charging $22 for a piece of roti, 2 eggs and some leaves is very unreasonable. It wasn't until after I finished I also realised they didn't even give me any avocado as detailed in the description of the dish. The only saving grace was the turmeric latte and service. Will not be back.

Midweek lunch. Seated at the back of the cafe looking into the elevated but open kitchen. Staff were onto everything. Very approachable. Lots of staff on but it meant that no one was left waiting.
Coffee was top notch. Food was beautiful. Inventive menu with some quirky options.
Miiamata
I love this place!! Coffee is one of the best in Melbourne, the warehouse vibe is super cute. Lots of tasty vegan options, ask to see the special manu that shows everything that can be made vegan :)
Tinmans Treats
I'd probably give it a 5 alone for the coffee. The coffee here is what you really come here for - they really do make a special brew.

I came here with a prominent Melbourne social media food influencer who was invited to try their latest menu and was fortunate enough to be selected as her plus one.

It's quite a large venue, and on a Monday mid-morning was already very busy. This speaks to the popularity of the venue. Dark in tone, it's got a Monday mood vibe, but the energy is positive and vibrant.

We tried a selection of brunch dishes - the dish of the day was definitely the felafel bowl but I have not enjoyed a bowl of porridge as much as I enjoyed the one at RW. Well done.

Come for the coffee, stay for the food.
Creamyny
Good coffee, below average food.
It’s called roasting warehouse, I guess I’m wrong to assume they offer delicious food lol. The food taste like it has been prepared by amateurs.

Chronicles Of Nardia
Roasting Warehouse is located on the corner of Leveson & Raglan Street in North Melbourne. As the name suggests they are known for their coffee roasting & brewing and as a huge coffee fan I was excited to check it out. It’s a big warehouse space complete with an impressive roaster & huge bags of coffee. Their coffee is also available to purchase & with a huge range its the perfect place for a coffee connoisseur.

We started with lattes with some of their house blends. Excellent coffee complete with cute coffee art.

The breakfast falafel bowl was absolutely delicious. Falafels can be a bit hit & miss but these were spot on. A big bowl of goodness filled with fried cauliflower, babaganoush, heirloom tomatoes, falafels, smoked cauliflower yoghurt & a poached egg. Right up there with one of the best falafel bowls I’ve tried.

We also tried the salmon roulade from the specials menu which was presented beautifully & very tasty. My friend also enjoyed the hot toddy & I loved the freshness & flavour combination of the detox juice, apple, orange, coconut water & cranberry.

We finished with the oat, sunflower & poppyseed porridge. Served with rhubarb & pear compote, rhubarb gel, toasted coconut & pistachio, it had all the winter flavours without being too sweet. Another amazing brunch dish.

Roasting Warehouse also have a great range of take away options, cakes & raw treats as well as bags of coffee & all coffee accessories. A must visit if you’re a big coffee fan or just cool spaces & good food. Looking forward to the opening of another Roasting Warehouse in Airport West soon, handy for those out west. Thanks to Thanos, Bojana & the team for having us in.

4.5
(invitational)
Amazing brunch scene at North Melbourne.

The place is just really nice, with quite lots of seats and sunlight pouring in from big windows. Staffs were just really lovely people and food took a reasonable time to arrive.

Started off with their Detox juice and it was just amazing, the combination worked perfectly together and not to mention looked amazing.
Matcha latte was also really pretty, but more importantly had a perfect amount of matcha in there, served with honey on the side too.

Cauliflower rice & Winter Veg Treats were surprisingly so tasty. Every components just played a art in making the dish a punch of flavour and texture. Just the best veggie bowl I've had, especially that fried tofu
Balinese duck murtabak was another hit. It was crispy on the outside and had a perfect ratio of fillings and skin. It was flavorful and not sickening, with a side of fresh pineapple salsa and stir fried greens on the side which was a bit too spicy for me.

Lastly, banana tonka hotcakes was the best thing ever. Texture was just melt in your mouth, and definitely can taste the banana in the batter, but then more bananas and chocolate and fruits made it even more irresistible, and I love the raspberry foam and the cream on top. This is probs the best hotcakes I've had hand's down. Must have.

Overall such a lovely place with amazing people and food, a tad bit on the exp side but a place to check out.

( follow for more!✨)

xx,joelle.

📍 Located a short 10 minute walk from North Melbourne train station. Alternatively if you are driving, there are free parks available if you drive 400m further down the road. Otherwise, if you’re happy to pay for parking – there is plenty to choose from!

⚡️ The FitHit’s Tip - This café gets B U S Y – So time your visit well. If you stop by during the weekend prime time, be aware that you will probably have to wait for a table. Tables are both inside and out the front (if you’re after some fresh air, or bringing your four-legged brunch friend along.

👥The staff were all really friendly. They were smiling, bubbly and moving quickly through the hustle of the very bustling venue.

🍽What did we order?

Gingerbread Donut French Toast $21.5
Augustus pistachio gelato, rhubarb & rosewater jam, candied walnut, poached pear, Persian fairy floss.
The mix of flavours worked nicely. I really liked that it was unlike any dish I have had anywhere else. I’m not a big fan of fairy floss on dishes but the poached pear worked deliciously!

Eggs Jackie Chan $22
Poached egg tempura, grilled roti, avocado & lime, gochujang hollandaise, daikon spirals, herbs, nori, sesame.
+ Thick Cut Belly Bacon $6
Absolutely loved this. Super duper happy with our experience at Roasting Warehouse!

Firstly I gotta say the decor and uniforms are awesome, love them.

We both tried a cold drip coffee which went down SO WELL 👍🏻 Of course the coffee is going to be amazing as they roast their own!

I tried the AVO TOAST and the VEGAN PANNA COTTA. Both great choices!

The Avo Toast was amazing. Chunky, fresh, and covered with delish oil and seasoning. The cherry tomatoes were beautiful, and the bread was chargrilled - soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside. Just amazing! One of the best I’ve had!!

The Vegan Panna Cotta was a nice dessert! The flavour was interesting and not like anything I’ve tried before. I love the crunchy nuts and seeds inside and the coyo on top.

Would definitely recommend this place!

We took forever to reach Roasting Warehouse, which btw, is a bit further away from Queen Victoria Market, thanks to late running trams and the Church service that took a bit more longer than usual. As the name suggests, Roasting Warehouse is a huge coffee blending and roasting warehouse which also runs a flourishing cafe at the side.

Their extensive menu has dishes from all around the globe and their daily specials are equally interesting in a positive way.

But, after having ordered and tried their Sunday special South Indian Curry served with Jeera Rice and Roti, Chatpate Aloo (Spiced Potatoes wrapped inside a roti served with Figs and Mustard based chutney ) which we ordered with extra fried chicken and Bacon and Beef Burger we can safely pronounced that it was one among the best lunches we have had in Melbourne. The Hot Chocolate with Orange infuse was very good, but, just a bit too sweet for us.

The flavours, the texture, the portions, hospitality, pricing...Everything was just perfect. Plenty to choose from for Vegans and Vegetarians as well patrons who are on a Glutenfree diet.

A Must ( Looking forward to revisiting them soon)

When you can smell the coffee from a mile away, you know it’s gonna be a good cup 🤤

FOOD & COFFEE: I ordered the ‘Torched Ocean Trout’ as I was feeling very healthy and it was so so good! I love finding healthy eats and this is definitely one for those dayz you want to treat your body well! The dish is way bigger than I expected and definitely super worth the $23.50! From the photos I thought it was gonna be tiny but in reality, it is huge and definitely super filling! The salmon was cooked to perfection and not too fishy and the portion was crazy! I would’ve been happier if they gave more rice cakes however because they were sooo yummy and I hope they incorporate a dish with alot more of their rice cakes! The spinach was so flavourful and I love veggies but I’m sure even someone who doesn’t like veggies would enjoy the spinach! If you like sour things, you will LOVE the pickled mushrooms and as a Malaysian, the pickled mushrooms tasted like something from home and I was so so happy tasting it! Finally, the green tea aioli was crazy good! Roasting warehouse really came through with this dish and their inventive and unique variety makes them stand out from just any other cafe! And of course, how can I visit Roasting Warehouse without getting a coffee! Their coffee was incredible! They are listed as one of Melbourne’s best coffee places for a reason! Unlike other coffee places, theirs isn’t too bitter and my soy milk latte was just so soul-warming as Melbourne is getting colder! So get your jackets out and your coffees ready 🤩

SERVICE: Service was really lovely! The waitress who served me was really pleasant and friendly!

Roasting Warehouse really impressed me with their unique menu and incorporation of Asian flavours into their brunch dishes! I’ll definitely be back for their coffee and more brunch dishes (I’m looking at you Chocolate Banana Tonka Hotcakes 👀)

Haven’t been here for ages. Back here today for lunch. Menu had changed a bit and I was in the mood to try something new. Normally I always order the Barramundi and crab orecchiette. Today I had one of their special “Balinese Duck Martabak”. Didn’t taste like the Martabak back home but they are pretty tasty. The hash brown is really good too. The pretty lovely, good service, great coffee and great pastries

Roasting Warehouse was such a lovely cafe but it was super busy when we came. The staff members were very lovely and tried their best to make our visit a great one - overall, we really enjoyed out time here!

We first ordered a Matcha Latte and the Iced Latte. The Matcha Latte had a faint taste of Matcha but it was still very nice with the honey.

For food, we had the Eggs Jackie Chan (love the name!) and the Chocolate Banana Tonka Hotcakes. I loved the fried eggs, it was very different but it goes well with the dish. I also added the thick cut bacon which added more flavour into the dish. I found the hotcakes to be quite sweet but it was still definitely a nice treat! I loved the touch of raspberry and bananas!

Definitely a-must-try cafe in North Melbourne.
Some Bunee Loves Food
This cafe is an easy 5/5!! I loved everything about this place! Except it took me a while to find it as I was pretty directionless lol.

Got the Green Tea waffle with red bean jam, pandan custard, yuzu strawberry tapioca, mango, lychee and coconut icecream. The waffle was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All the elements in this dish complemented each other! There were tastes of sweet, sour, soft and crunchy. I loved everything about this dish! I could totally clean another plate of this up!

My friend got the Breakfast special: Grilled corn bread s/w chorizo, black bean mojo, avocado, poached eggs and jalapeno relish. He also loved this dish so much that he started hard selling this dish to the table next to us telling them not to miss out on this great dish! haha..

The flat white coffee was a bit bitter as first sip, but then it was very smooth, full of coffee taste in my decaf coffee.

Thanks for a great experience, Roasting Warehouse! I will definitely be back to try the hotcakes!

This is our second visit here. The first time was good, but this time we waited more than half an hour to have our dishes served, with poached eggs over cooked (sad).

We loved our visit here so much! If you are looking for a cozy place to have delicious food, this is the place to be. The place is easy to reach and is decorated very nicely!
Among a lot of amazing sounding menu options, we tried their Eggs Jackie Chan (with extra thick-cut belly bacon and confit field mushrooms) and Torched Ocean Trout, both satisfying our hunger. We particularly loved the hollandaise sauce they used for the Eggs Jackie Chan, as it was super delicious, and paired with the roti? Incredible! The trout was very beautifully plated, and has amazing flavours - it is quite a sour dish though so keep that in mind when you order.
We ordered ourselves a matcha latte and also a detox juice and enjoyed them very much!
The detox juice is very refreshing and colourful as well! ♥️
We will be sure to visit again and try more of their delicious options!

Roasting Warehouse is a perfect example of the best of Melbourne cafe culture - housed in a massive converted warehouse it exemplifies that modern classy-but-unpolished aesthetic with lots of greenery, an actual coffee roastery (yes you can buy their coffee!) and a super unique and interesting menu with strong East Asian and Indian influences.

We tried the Masala Prawn & Smoked Eggplant Omelette ($22.50), Grilled Stone Fruit & Strawberry Salad ($20) and Torched Ocean Trout ($23.50). Every dish was bursting with flavour, fresh ingredients and a unique palate that makes me eager to return for more!
I also loved their Minty Cacao latte ($5.50) which had the perfect mix of mint & chocolate flavour, and loved that it was served with fresh honey on the side.

Our favourite dish was the omelette which was just so interesting - the masala was quite delicate and subtle in flavour which made it feel perfect for brunch, and loved that it was served with roti and a refreshing ginger tomato broth.

The ocean trout was so beautiful on the plate and was served with sesame spinach, rice cakes, picked mushrooms, green tea aioli and yuzu dressed cress. This is perfect for seafood lovers and had a real “ocean” flavour about it - such a unique and complex flavour profile!

Finally we shared and loved the stone fruit & watermelon salad which the waitress noted was not a very popular dish. I think this is because “salad” conjures up something mixed in with lettuce leaves - whereas this dish is more of a yoghurt dish stacked full of delicious fresh and grilled fruits. Perfect if you’re after something on the lighter side.

All in all I highly recommend Roasting Warehouse for something a bit different - you might find your new favourite dish!
Roasting Warehouse has a beautiful atmosphere - nice open and light! The team were lovely and accommodating, so glad we go to try a couple of old dishes before the new menu launches soon!

We got the Winter Açai bowl and the Avocado + Chilli 🌶 So good!
The warm Açai bowl was perfect for a dreary day! Yummy quinoa and chia porridge was topped with coconut yogurt, passion fruit, toasted Macadamia, cacao nibs and of course Açai! Lovely unique dish 💖

Of course you can’t go wrong with a classic Avo toast - a long time fave at Roasting Warehouse! The tomatoes, olive oil and chunky avo were so fresh and tasty 🥑

Thanks for having us Roasting Warehouse! @roastingwarehouse

Get in early because Roasting Warehouse is a popular hotspot with the locals and there's no surprise there from the varied & delicious breakfast/lunch menu to the great service from the staff. There's so much choice that we indulged in a bit of everything but I especially loved the pineapple chia pudding.
Lizzie Eats Melbourne
😱Lizzie’s first impression: a great cafe situated in North Melbourne - another hub of brunch and cafes. I loved the interior of this place especially with the actual coffee roasting machine at the back. The place has a rustic feel but feels welcoming.

🍩Lizzie enjoyed: the food was spectacular - we tried the with the extra bacon and it was phenomenal. One of the best dishes I’ve had this year so far!! The pancakes also had good flavours - you really can’t go wrong with Nutella! The coffee is also splendid here.

🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: unfortunately, my pancakes were a little too soft and not as fluffy as I wanted it to be but the flavours definitely made up for it.

🥇Lizzie rates overall: the staff are very friendly and attentive even though it was very very busy.

Are you scared of a Divine Creator?

Let’s R’ Evolve about that, shall we? 🥳

I am a curious person. And I love knowing the behind the scenes, those little sneaky details of why things are the way they are and of how they end up the way the do.

Well, at Roasting Warehouse you get to experience first hand and unveil every secret of how coffee magically appears in front of you, served on those usual glasses or cups. You get to see and loudly hear how the Divine Creator meticulously select and roast the beans inside their venue.

The place is quite vast and has a beautiful combination of blue with yellow patterns, paired with some Art Deco and beautiful plants. The roasting site is located next to the kitchen and barista area which makes it very interesting to see how frequent and small batches are processed! It’s such an incredible experience that every coffee lover (or not!) will appreciate, without a doubt!

The staff is incredible. From the moment I walked in I was kindly welcomed and greeted by everyone making me feel at home. I spent over 10 minutes talking to the barista about the coffee they had and what would be the best option to drink. I got to understand how they make sure that every flavour from the beans is extracted and felt so much dedication and love that that’s probably why this place is such a good bean👌

Coming to the food, the team here is definitely inspired to maintain a high level of satisfaction and distinction and you get to taste the most amazing creations hosted by Tharnos, the owner, who kindly and attentively supervises all the dedicated staff. Here’s what we had:

- Pineapple chia pudding - presentation on point, really really on point. From the choice of the glass to the colours and foods chosen - it is definitely a winner in aesthetics. The flowers on top make it even more incredible without a doubt. It does not look like a huge portion but it is filling due to the higher fat content of the chia seeds so I would say that the size is just right. The include lychee is the meal which is very rare to see and delicious! The combo of pineapple and mango is a favourite of mine too and I think it is a very well achieved meal.

- Acai granola bowl - this was a 10/10 bowl without a doubt! Not many bowls can compare to this in Melbourne and this place nailed it! Size is way more than acceptable 👌 the taste and portion of the granola is just right and although I’m not a huge fan of raisins, I loved every mouthful of this granola. The macadamias in the bowl were such a pleasant surprise and I kindly asked to remove the coconut yogurt from the acai due to health reasons which the team kindly accepted my request and in a very thoughtful way added a little more fruits to the bowl making it even more delightful.

- Green tea waffle - do you know those meals that you have some curiosity about trying but aren’t really sure about it? Well, this was the case. I had seen this in pictures beforehand but I didn’t know if I could eat it due to my lactose intolerance and the menu not having the allergens stated. But once I was at the venue one of the waitresses kindly provided a menu with the dietary details and it was to my astonishment vegan! And trust me when I say that this was divine! This meals makes me feel like I’m in Japan because every detail is carefully planned an executed, featuring some of the most delicious Asian treats! The waffles were cooked perfectly and matcha wasn’t overpowering, pairing with the sweetness of the pandan custard in the most pleasant way. The slice of fruit is definitely the pineapple (cherry 😂) on top and takes this meal to something even extra 👌 the red bean jam is not too sweet but pleasant to eat and the yuzu strawberry tapioca was LIFE CHANGING - it seemed like you were eating bubbled but with a soft and gelatinous consistency! Also, to highlight the dehydrated blueberries that are very underrated and work wonderfully as toppings! 👏 an impressive combination altogether. This kind of quality food when it comes to Asian treats is something rare to see in Melbourne (there are a few places with treats and cakes but not with this level of detail and quality!). Not to mention the coconut icecream that is definitely a winner because when is icecream not a good idea, right? and here it combines perfectly with the other ingredients used. Again, this is a 10/10!

- Breakfast energy bowl - my friend had this bowl as she is a more savoury type of person and she said that it was truly incredible! Portion seemed good and it looked creamy and cooked to perfection. I would say this is an excellent option to go big on the greens and say a very good choice for colder seasons as it is truly comfort food for the soul.

- Almond lattes - we tried their Evolve blend and the taste of the coffee is undoubtedly exceptional. They have for sure one of the best coffees I’ve ever drank and they do deserve that Divine Creator distinction! Latte art is well achieved too and if I lived next to this place I would definitely come here everyday for coffee because this is definitely a spotlight.

- Turmeric Almond latte - definitely an anti-inflammatory health boost with a well balanced taste - not overpowering and not bland either. It was a delight to drink this as it was a very smooth blend! I even saved one last sip for last as it was truly a light and perfect executed wellness drink!

Overall, as you can see the food is really exceptional and I had such a great time. As a friendly suggestion I would say that having an allergen friendly version of the menu in Zomato or their website would be something many people would appreciate. I would be most interested to try a Vegan/DF version of the Chocolate Banana Tonka Hotcakes and even the Buckwheat & Sunflower Fritter caught my eye for a future visit!

I was truly truly impressed by this place and I can't wait to go back to the origin of the world and see and taste the magic where all things are created!
Eats With Kayli
Roasting Warehouse has got some seriously delicious food that you have to try!

I ordered their fried chicken, barramundi & crab orecchiette & chocolate banana hotcakes. Their ranch dip went so well with the fried chicken - it had some cucumber in it which made it feel less heavy! The pasta was full of flavour too and they were really generous with their seafood. The pancakes were definitely the highlight of my visit - the were seriously SO LIGHT AND FLUFFY. Please order this to share, you won’t regret it!
Linda
I loved the venue, but not the coffee and the food was just stock standard. The coffee beans weren’t great and the make of it was just poorly executed.
Sarah Quek
I enjoyed the Barramundi with crab dish but my boyfriend ordered the Jackie chan eggs and it was AMAZING!! It came with avocado on top of a roti. The side of bacon was a pleasant combination of flavors. Service was a little slow on a Saturday afternoon but otherwise pretty good alternative to auction rooms

Good coffee and good food 😊 although some twist made in the dishes were a little too ‘out there’, but overall it was tasty!
Really giving kudos to the service here as they were very nice to us, offering us a place to sit and wait, informing us that it will be a long wait (30 mins) ahead. They were also prompt in attending to us after we got a seat despite the busy day. Very impressed by the system they’ve got in terms of service and coffee 😊
Bite The Looks By BHA
come here about 2 weeks ago, wanting to try this place since ages for breakfast. Upon my arrival, the staffs greeted me nicely and told me to wait for a few minutes to get the table, and immediately deliver me to the designated table near the kitchen.

FOOD & DRINK
1. Wagyu bacon cheese burger with lettuce, chipotle ketchup, burger sauce, tomato, pickles and fries
2. Barramundi & crab orecchiette with smashes pies, chicory, organic cottage cheese, chilli herb & vinaigrette.
3. Chai latte

Overall, the food was really exceptional! I have such a great time in here.. the Barramundi & crab orecchiette pasta (very recommended by me!) was so flavourful and rich in your tongue. All the elements in there becomes one and all in perfect harmony. While the wagyu bacon cheese burger was amazing too.. perfectly seasoned and the beef was so juicy in your mouth, the bacon is well contrast with the beef, giving it well balance fat richness in your mouth..

The place itself is classic and retro & the ambience was nice and comfortable. The staffs were also very attentive and friendly.. i cant wait to go back here again! Thanks for having me..

#BHAsFoodDiary

A solo brunch adventure! And what an adventure it was. I am big on green bowls for brunch. Greens and eggs maybe some hummus as well. I hunt them down on menus and then go out searching for them.

I saw roasting warehouse had a rather tempting looking greens bowl. So off I went! The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The cafe was busy for a Wednesday afternoon so I knew it was going to be good!

I ordered myself the greens bowl and it did not disappoint. It comes with a base of buckwheat and dots of a carrot tapenade.

It was bright, vibrant and super tasty!

I really enjoyed my brunch here. Great atmosphere and food. 9/10
Some Like It Hot
Great space with a mix of seating available; some communal, booths and small tables for two. Quick efficient service at the door. Very nice coffee. Have not tried food yet do score based on coffee only.

I went to Roasting Warehouse last weekend, and really enjoyed it. What a cool part of town it is - I havent spent much time around North Melbourne, and it's a stones throw from the city! Surrounded by beautiful terrace houses and a short walk to the Vic Market (which we went to straight after), it's a great place to go and enjoy your coffee/breaky.

My partner ordered the Tonka Hotcakes and loved them. The hotcakes were light and fluffy, and that pink foam served alongside them was delicious! The combo of nutella and banana is always a favourite.
I chose to make my own breaky, with scrambled eggs plus avocado, bacon and hashbrown. I thoroughly enjoyed it- really generous serve, and such a delicious scramble. Bacon was also cooked to perfection- nice and crispy as I like it.

The coffee was another highlight- perfect amount of strength and heat. So good in fact, that I ordered two. It was worth the trip to get to Roasting Warehouse- I'd recommend a visit to here followed by a trip to the Vic Market :-)
The Hungry Panda
Great atmosphere friendly staff and the food was really tasty. However, our meals came out 10 mins apart and when I asked where my meal was, it was clear by the responses they had forgotten it. I was told it was on its way and they acted like this was normal. Which begs the question: is two people's meals 10mins apart unacceptable or am I just being a cranky panda?
Thebrunchgirls
I love the fit out! Such a cool cafe space! The service was super friendly & we really enjoyed our meals! The Nutella panckes were next level delish & the coffee was superb!

Cool off in classic Melbourne style with this amazing iced coffee courtesy of Roasting Warehouse ! I don’t rate coffee that often but these guys know how to make the smoothest blend, some of the best coffee I’ve had - and that's saying something!
P.s. The blend I’m raving about is called “Evolve” ☕️
The Casual Diner
Will come back for:
+ Chicken 65
+ BLT Sandwich
+ Ginger and Lemon Ice Drink

There’s a lot of pretty good cafe in this area, and I am glad the menu here is a little different to the others. The BLT was served on a focaccia like bread, that was lighter than it looks and quite delicious. The chicken 65 was a good fried chicken served with a riped mango salad, and a tangi sauce that was well balanced with the dish. The “pig and pineapple” French toast was a funky combo that I was a little undecided on whether I liked it or hate it. And the iced drinks were really refreshing and quite suitable with the dishes on a summer day. Great cosy place, friendly service and a great addition to this part of town.
The Honest Glutton
Came here excited to try the prawn and crab butter angel hair pasta but was disappointed because they changed their menus three months ago 😭

We ordered the barramundi & crab orecchiette pasta, torched ocean trout and the masala prawn & smoked eggplant omelette

To my disappointment. The pasta was incredibly bland and dry. I couldn’t taste the fish or the crab at all. The ocean trout was nice but missed the wow factor. The omelette was the best of our dishes and came with a ginger tomato broth on the side which was refreshing.

The fresh juices they have on offer were amazing. Service was nice and attentive!
Agreekable
Really cool venue in the Northern suburbs. We visited near the end of the day, and were very happy with the service and food. We enjoyed a variety of different dishes and we loved that the staff took their time to talk with us!
Hbomb
Went here the other day and it's definitely a popular cafe in the area. The venue was a pretty cool fitout and staff very friendly. We ordered several dishes which sounded really good from the description but found the flavours to be a little bland. Happy to give it another go just incase they were having a bad day.

This is one of the better places for a breakfast in North Melbourne. Their menu has heaps of variety and includes a bunch of good veggie dishes. Have been here many times.
㊙️ The Traveling Foodie
Great coffee, great staff. meals menu sound names is fun. The Wagyu burger is average. Chicken meal is good. Fish meals portions are small but full of taste.
Melbourne Foodies
This busy cafe in North Melbourne is our all time favourite! The food is always amazing and the coffee unbeatable. The interior is spacious and inviting, and the staff are always friendly. We love the wide range of meals, the specials are always out of the box and different- yet delicious, and we continue to come back because we are never let down. If we could rate more than 5 stars we would 😝
FOOD TRIP
Roasting Warehouse is a very cosy spot for brunch. Decent selection of menu choices and food was good. Coffee was a bit disappointing. Soy Cappuccino $4.60. Bitter and pricey. Very disappointed ★. Mushroom, Sage and Burrata Omelette $21.50. Mixed Mushroom & Leek Ragu, Pecorino Crumb, Chicken Brodo + Celery Oil, Chargrilled Soudough
Giovanni Siciliano
Best breakfast experience in long time. For me, best long macchiato I’ve ever had. Breakfast was so tasty. And thankyou for having fresh chopped avocado rather than smashed avocado. Well done to the team!!

Stumbled upon this place and it looked very busy on a Sunday lunchtime so thought we'd give it a go. Surprisingly big and spacious inside with a warehouse, industrial theme. Varied menu and love that you can order everything all day. I opted for the winter acai bowl which, looking at the ingredients, is vegan and a matcha latte. My companion went for the burger. My bowl tasted delicious and healthy. I loved the different flavours and textures which included acai, warmed quinoa with chia seed and almond milk, banana coyo, passionfruit, cocoa nibs and toasted macademia nuts. It was a decent portion too. My matcha latte could have been better; the matcha was weak and at some point, it started separating from the milk. Friendly staff but the wait for the food was a bit long considering how busy they are.
The Brunch Specialist
Located in North Melbourne, Roasting Warehouse is a bustling cafe and coffee roaster.

Roasting Warehouse offers a number of unique and creative dishes on its menu perfect for those wanting to venture out and try something new. Visiting on a Saturday morning for breakfast we ordered the breakfast garden bowl with added smoked salmon, the mushroom, sage and burrata omelette and the chocolate banana tonka hotcakes to share. To drink we had an iced latte and the honey spiced sticky chai.

The mushroom, sage and burrata omelette comprises of a mixed mushroom & leek ragu, pecorino crumb, chicken brodo & celery oil with chargrilled sourdough. The flavours of the omelette all worked really well together and I like the unique touch of the side of chicken brodo.

The breakfast garden bowl offers a great twist on a traditional salad. Combining warmed beetroot polenta, sautéed greens, green olive & cashew tapenade, poached egg, puffed grains and taro crisps. We also opted to add a side of smoked salmon. Again this was another well balanced dish, the taro crisps provided crunch and texture and worked beautifully with the beetroot polenta and tapenade.

For me the highlight of our meal were the hotcakes. Combining banana, Nutella, salted caramel popcorn dukkah, creme fraiche, tonka foam and raspberries this dish was a dream come true for me and one of my favourite hotcakes ever. If you are a sweet tooth then you must try this dish although I still think it’s best to share.

Overall I was very impressed with Roasting Warehouse. I highly recommend you check them out and order the amazing the hotcakes. I rate Roasting Warehouse ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5. Thanks very much for having me.

Visited this cafe recently and was impressed. We arrived fairly early and it was already buzzing with people. Coffees were good, staff were lovely and there’s a good variety of dishes to select (I was informed that a new menu is about to launch). My partner had the bagel with trout and I ordered the avocado, tomato and chili with added poached egg. I have to say this was a great avo dish. The combination of different tomatoes and chunks of avocado were so tasty. The sourdough was cut thick and charred on the grill with a little smokiness. The egg was poached to perfection. We also shared a chia pudding. Presentation was super pretty and the dish was light and fruity.

Was lucky to win a giveaway at Roasting Warehouse. We came on the Melbourne Cup public holiday. Although the poor restaurant had a few mini roof leaking issues the staff were still cheerful and attentive. The restaurant is cosy with quite a few larger (4people) tables/booth type areas.

What we had:

Beef Ribs - Their lunch special was definitely an standout. The cider glazed ribs were tasty and the warm potato sala, artichoke and sauce complemented the dish well. This was definitely a satisfying dish on a rainy day.

Crystal Bay Prawns and angel hair - Loved seeing an asian inspired dish on the menu. This dish is inspired by Singapores Chilli crab except it was prepared with prawns. It was also the first time I've seen finger limes being used. The pasta was creamy and full of flavour, the prawns were super fresh and the queen of finger limes mellowed the flavours.

Would of loved to tried a dessert. Maybe next time.

Beautiful, warehouse vibes in the cosy neighbourhood of North Melbourne

Ordered:
🍖 Beef Ribs (lunch special): cider glazed beef ribs served with warm potato salad, Jerusalem artichoke, broad beans, fennel & purple cabbage relish ($21.00)
🌮 Mushroom, Sage & Burrata Omelette: mixed mushroom & leek ragu, pecorino crumb, chicken brodo + celery oil, chargrilled sourdough ($21.50)

Review:
The interior is gorgeous with warehouse, rustic vibes, bustling with people. The streamlined blue creates a memorable visual environment that is much sought after in the brunch scene!

The beef was cooked softly, and potatoes were a great side.
However, beef could've come with some sauce because it was a little dry and chewy - also please consider toasting the potatoes longer for the crisper edge!!

Mushroom omelette dish was a little too oily and plain for me. Oil over the plate, the same vicous liquid over the soudough and again in the chicken brodo.
It could do with more depth like adding some spicy chilli or something to cut through the oil!!

Service was friendly, but not memorable.

Dropped in for lunch on our travels and were very pleasantly surprised by the the size of the place (The exterior does not look large) and the very pleasant ambience which was well supported by very friendly, pleasant service. The food was very good and the coffee so good (and espresso served with mineral water) that I purchased some to take home.
Sadly we do not live closeby but if we did it would be a regular haunt.
FroggyLegs
Good food 4 stars. Service 2 stars. One of the wait staff rolled her eyes and was very abrupt when I asked a question about one of the dishes. The other wait staff seemed fine.
Good Food Good Mood
We were invited to Roasting Warehouse on Saturday which as the name depicts was a huge warehouse space complete with in house roasters. Being a sunny day we opted to sit outside and enjoy a cold drip but also couldn’t resist the minty cacao. This isn’t overly sweet but does come with honey so you can sweeten to taste.

I went for the avocado and chilli dish which arrived fresh and vibrant on the plate and was perfect with a squeeze of lime. Hubby got the mushroom, sage and burrata omelette which came with pecorino crumb that was deliciously wafting about the table. It was also accompanied by a chicken brodo which is a little broth that is definitely something quite unique. Note this usually comes with sourdough but he is currently abstaining from carbs!

Our third dish was just as stunningly presented as the first two and was an absolute ripper taste wise too. We had layers of banana, Nutella and pancake along with some salted caramel popcorn dukkah for that yummy crunch factor. Creme fraiche cut through the indulgent flavours and the tonka foam not only served to look pretty in its pastel pink glory but it was also an ingenious inclusion for balance.

I’m not sure why this venue hadn’t been on my radar before but now that we’ve Ben I would thoroughly recommend it. Coming at 2pm also meant we didn’t have to pay for parking either, wining all round!

For us, this is our new gem in North Melbourne. I have been to this place 4 times in the last month. They have plenty of seats inside and some outside, I have come on the weekend few times and we always got a table within 5 mins. Their coffee is great but definitely try their juices too, my fav is the detox juice, colorful and just delicious. Recommended dishes:
- Nutella & Tonka Hotcakes - very moist pancakes with tonka & raspberry foam, so YUM!
- Hashbrown - housemade hashbrown so its definitely a plus
- Miso Marinated Salmon - with mushroom dashi soup and soba noodle, tasty and healthy
- Crystal Bay Prawn & Angel Hair - with chilli crab butter, definitely tasty and not spicy

Their portion sizes are quite generous too so we are always full and satisfied. The waitress are very helpful and they never push us to order quickly and keep checking on us if we need anything. FYI: a good brunch place and you can bring your dog along too.
The_littlehungrylife
Hubby and I are big lovers of coffee, so of course we needed to try Roasting Warehouse!

I love the passion and enthusiasm the staff here have for their coffee beans! It makes me so excited and happy to buy and try everything here.

The customer service here I can’t fault and I honestly think it’s worth the travel to grab your fresh beans here! The beans are roasted in house and I love the aroma when sitting in the cafe. Their is something for everyone.

As we tend to have filter coffee at home, we were recommended to try the Raglan Street Blend. It has a cookies and cream flavour and a hint of citrus notes. Perfect for our filter coffee in the morning.

Whilst we were there we also tried the food at the cafe. We ordered the Chocolate Banana Tonka Hotcakes, Almond & Blueberry Chia Pudding, Crystal Bay Prawn & Angel Hair, Lamb Philly Cheesesteak, one Nero blend latte and Day dreamer blend latte.

The prices here is very fair and reasonable. I also think the portion size is very generous. I personally loved the sweet dishes and my husband was most impressed by the savoury.

The cafe has a lot of room and good access for those in wheelchairs or with prams. Plenty of parking, with free unlimited parking on Sunday’s!

Highly recommend paying this cafe a visit and if you live in this side of town I do think it’s a great place to grab the perfect coffee!
Daniel
We live on the over an hour drive away, but we decided to come down to visit after all the raving reviews, and boy did it not disappoint! This place has amazing coffee, with over 5 different blends they do in house. I tried the Nero and Day Dreamer. Nero was strong, whilst Nero was a weaker blend. For food we had the crystal bay prawn, lamb Philly cheesesteak, almond blueberry chia pudding and hot cakes. Highly recommend the crystal bay prawn, the flavours in that dish works so well. Definitely would come back to try the other dishes.

Also, staff have great customer service. All of them know the dishes, their coffee blends and very friendly

I seldom visit North Melbourne so it was great to pop into Roasting Warehouse on this lovely spring day and try some of their impressive menu items. A great inside space greeted us complete with coffee roasters, merch and coffee sales plus plenty of cafe tables. It was too nice to sit inside so we opted for a outdoor table out front.

We started by ordering drinks, and Iced coffee with lactose free milk (yay) it was lovely and smooth and a great coffee hit. We also ordered a Green juice, just looking at this makes me feel healthy, a great combo of apple, cucumber, ginger, celery and lemon. The celery was the overarching dominant flavour.

For lunch we ordered the Roast harissa chicken which came with a mograbieh, grains, pomegranates, roasted baby carrots, labne fresh herbs. (Quite like a Cypriot salad without the mint). Omg the harissa chicken was succulent and tender, the harissa brings plenty of flavour with a very subtle amount of heat. The salad was moorish, all the flavours worked well with or without the chicken, the texture of the salad was bang on and had great variants of flavour when mixing in some pomegranates or the tang of the labne.

We also ordered the Miso marinated salmon served in a mushroom dashi broth with soba noodles. This Japanese style dish was fresh, delicious and cleverly plated. Despite being a soup the salmon was served a crunchy skin, which was topped with crunchy fried enoki, definitely hits the wow factor. I loved the inclusion of pretty pink pickled cauliflower, edamame & seaweed, it added another dimension to the Japanese flavours.

For dessert we ordered the French toast trifle brûlée, this dish was served like a deconstructed trifle, the slow-cooked quince, lime tangelo jelly and strawberries bought oodles of jammy bang to this eggy fresh toast. One of those dishes where everything works well eaten together.

We enjoyed our visit today and clearly need to spend time exploring other North Melbourne venues if this family run business is the standard of dining in the area. Thanks so much for inviting us.
At Junior
Unfortunately a very ordinary place. Toast was grilled and tasted like an afternoon bbq. Food lacked flavor. Coffee was below warm and made badly. I usually like that blend. Service was ok but took a couple of mins for someone to notice us when we walked in. Even the juice was overpowering with lemon. Im hoping it was just a bad day. Maybe ill pop back in once summer menu comes in.
Let Laura Eat
Super busy, but managed to get a seat out front. Meals were all tasty, coffee was nice, maybe lacked a bit of the shazam that some other fav cafes have, but not bad.
Beatrice
Haven't brunched in North Melbourne for a while especially now H is on her confinement. I remember coming to this address when it was Di Bella.
The restaurant had opened up more with what I feel a more welcoming vibe. It wasn't busy on a Saturday afternoon. Still plenty of tables at 1pm. There were a lot of interesting choices on the menu but knowing we were gonna have an early dinner, we didn't order anything heavy.
Coffee is amazing! So smooth and aromatic. They roasted their own beans and there were lots of options if you'd like to bring some beans home.
Food however was a bit disappointing. I ordered the Winter Acai bowl which is served with warmed quinoa but I wasn't expecting 2/3 of the bowl to be quinoa. It was quite misleading and I felt bad not finishing my food cos I wasn't expecting something so filling and heavy.
C ordered the lunch special - Japanese Tonkatsu Open Sandwich. The chicken was fried well but the whole combo was pretty cheap. Bread was hard, chips were probably from packet. It reminded us of a Hong Kong tea room type of meal but with a $21 price tag.
The food wasn't too bad. At the end of the day, it came down to expectation when you read a menu, and what was actually presented to you on table.
J0yy173
If we were still able to manage our own Collections, this would make my Favourites list. It was busy today but luckily no queue, so I was quickly shown to a table. Skimming over the ample menu, I realised they'd changed their offerings to reflect the seasonal ingredients.

The Beetroot Latte with soy milk was fantastic and so warming on this wet, winter's day. It was aestheticaly presented with a small serving of honey so I could sweeten it to my liking. The Angel Hair pasta came with a generous amount of prawns and an explosion of flavours, aided by the Singapore chilli crab butter. Absolutely delicious meal once again.

Step inside the converted warehouse to catch the spacious feeling. Staff were friendly and service was efficient throughout. This is neither the first nor the last visit of a local gem.
Brunching
Don’t let the outside fool you, it’s very spacious inside. Staff are friendly and food is good.
The only bad thing is the time to bring the food from ordering, our order took well over half hour. And we made a mistake an ordered more while we were half way through and the food came very very late. Given that they have a few in the kitchen maybe they can speed up a bit. Otherwise it’s good. Even kid friendly ☺️
Piggyeatalot
I got some take away from Roasting Warehouse, and I wasn’t entirely impressed. My egg and bacon brioche roll tasted ok, but the egg texture was a bit plastic. The soy mocha was good though. I think I might need to dine in to truly enjoy the experience.
Jiji
Roasting warehouse is my new favourite brunch place. Nice cafe situated in North Melbourne with lots of parking around the area.

We ordered the East Coast Benny Chan & Crystal Bay Prawns and Angel Hair. The Benny Chan lacked a bit of sauce but I liked it with the roti. The pasta was delicious and the seafood was so fresh and tasty.

Coffee was amazing! It’s so nice, strong and I love that you can really taste the coffee. The ice mocha was also on point. Definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu.
Louise
Loved this place! Friendly staff, great service. Had the waygu burger - it was great. Espresso martini and a glass of prosseco made for a lovely Sunday afternoon catch up venue with a friend.
Kibby Fung
Overrated and over-priced.
Lamb burger was $20+ but tasted worse than a $10 burger from a corner shop.
$17 French toast had only 1 piece of toast with some jelly and cream. didnt taste good either.
Waited for 45 minutes so i'm not happy at all.
All I can say is, don't be fooled by the high rating on Zomato.
Emily Mauro
Came here everyday for breakfast while I was in Melbourne and I couldn’t fault this place. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. For breakfast one morning I ordered the crumpets which were so warm and comforting on a cold morning. One highlight for me was the winter special acai bowl, not only was it beautiful to look at, it was absolutely delicious. My colleague had the chilli eggs and he said the food was amazing and so fresh. As they roast their own beans and have a coffee bean menu, you could pretty much guess that their coffee is perfect.
Pricing was excellent in my opinion- 5 stars right here.
I will definitely be coming back here whenever I come back to Melbourne.
Anthony
Good reliable coffee, good food and service. A North Melbourne institution that rarely misses a beat. Occasionally hard to get seating at peak weekend times but worth the wait. Not the cheapest option but quality is always there.
EasterIsland
The place was pretty busy in the Sunday morning. Different from the other “InstaFamous” Cafe, it feels a popular local-loved Cafe which made me feel more confident!
Ordered a Soy Latte however it still tasted a bit bitter after putting sugar in it but the texture was great! If the white chocolate Cereal slice from the refrigerator were given more freshness, it will be a perfect match.
Wish to see more smiles on the staffs’ faces but service was okay.
Will come back to try the Filter coffee and some fresh-made dishes.
Felicity Jumba
I’ve stopped going to brunch for a while however I’m glad I started with Roasting Warehouse! The staff were amazingly friendly and the food was even better

Ordered:
New York style warm apple cider shots
Nero blend- cappuccino
Espresso blend- cappuccino
Char-grilled beef Thai salad
Smoked eggplant and corn waffle - is vegan however I added smoked salmon
Holy Mackerel

Char-grilled beef Thai salad
Tasted like an authentic crying tiger Thai salad (if you have had the crying tiger salad) they use Thai chillis which give it an amazing kick topped with soft tender beef. So glad the dish did come with rice noodles to make the salad more filling

Smoked eggplant and corn waffle - is vegan however I added smoked salmon
Amazing! Definitely was worried it would be a sweet waffle however the waffle it self was not- I didn’t really taste the eggplant however the corn in the waffle give it a nice natural sweetness, every element from the red cabbage to the roasted tomatoes and avocado purée...mixed all together, the waffle was amazing

Holy Mackerel
Gave me a Japanese dish feel. The mackerel was served raw with asparagus dip, grapefruit, pickles, oat biscuits with a poached egg. I was unsure that this would be filling however I don’t know if it was cause I was picking from every dish but I was definitely full. The flavours are light and refreshing with the sweetness from the mackerel to the tangy dip and the crunch from the oat biscuit...it all just worked
Kim
Edit:increased rating as food serving time has been good recently.

Interesting menu and very tasty food. Not your standard cafe food, everything was a more creative or more tasty version of a standard breakfast dish.

Fantastic coffee. The whole family loved it.
Eating Away Melbourne
Used to come here every week for weekday breakfast and came back last week because I was craving for their eggs benny on hash browns. Of course it tasted the same very very nice flavoured. Also tried a cold brew which was nice too. Service was quick and friendly. Witnessed a customer went "Excuse me" for a million times and waved constantly at a waitress which was shocking. Can there be a rule that ppl need to keep their voice down at a certain level and smile instead of shout! Feel for the waitress! Other than that great experience as usual!
LittleMushroom
Food we ordered were better than average. Char-grilled beef salad is healthy and light, I like the variety of food in this dish. The mackerel is a ok dish. Cured mackerel is already salty, the asparagus dip adds the saltiness. There is a special dish (lamb) written behind my seat I did not realize until I finish my meal, it would be nice if it is on the menu or mentioned by the staff before our order. Overall a nice meal but could be better.
Francisca Ferreira De Almeida
Food was the standard for a coffee shop and coffee was very good. Staff wasn’t the friendliest. No cutlery was served with the food and when asked about the bill we were just told “go inside” while she walked away
Hi Guys. Just a heads up, when I order a take away with 1 sugar it would be nice to have the sugar, I found it missing as I drove off and tasting my take away. Nice to have a coffee that looks good but..... ordered ½ kilo of beans to take away but noticed roasted almost a month ago, I swapped for a different style with fresher date, but asked for recommendation, read the board, was the response! All ok until I picked up coffee from car seat to take inside, ½ kg of coffee beans all over seat as bag was not properly closed. Ugh. It was always heat sealed in past.
Bingbong
Best coffee in town. Friendly staff, casual environment and kid friendly. Brunch menu always includes the delicious staples of eggs benny or crumpets, and also has seasonal additions. Yum!
Zacquilinelao
The atmosphere of the place was amazing and I quite enjoyed it! The customer service was good and staff were very friendly. A wide range coffee blends to choose from which was good however I didn’t really enjoy my coffee. The food was bursting with flavour and presentation was exquisite!!! I had the omelette with pork. It had lots of egg and was slightly lacking in pork. Quite sweet for my taste and had to keep sipping on water. Nonetheless, a good experience :)
Helen
A nice ambience. We had vitamin C drinks which had lots and lots of ginger - a bit too strong for some but I had the detox drink which was delicious. The wagyu burger was rated as "ok" by one person and so was the acai bowl which was well presented. I had the felafel rolls which were nice.
The Gluten-Free Foodie
Great atmosphere most of the day with good service, delicious food and coffee. My favourite is the recently added falafel sandwich. The smell from the brioche and bread in the afternoon can get a bit overbearing outside so preference is to sit indoors. Croissants are the bomb.
