Great place for Hot Chocolate and dessert. I had a cup of hot chocolate with orange custard on top. The mixture was interesting and delicious. I definitely recommend this place
Chocolate heaven
Recommended by an addict and it hits the sweet spot for what chocolate desserts should be like. A must go for all looking for a change from the cafes and Starbucks everywhere!
The macadamia chocolate cake with a hint of himalayan salt is my favourite! That’s when they say we find umami in dessert! Perfect!
Delivery is flawless and cant wait for you guys to visit my suburb again!

One of the most sophisticated and modern hot chocolate bars in Melbourne. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Offers a wide range of cocoa percentages from 60-80% - perfect place for cocoa fanatics! Camp Fire was mad sick. 70% dark chocolate with maple smoke, charcoal salt & toasted house-made marshmellow. Truly a theatrical experience! Rich and yet not too sweet nor bitter. Wonderful afternoon treat :)

This place totally rocks. I’ve been a fan of Mörk hot chocolate, ever since cafes started serving them in 2012. Fast forward eight years, they have their own café and I am finally trying it. For those of you who have not heard of Mörk, it’s hot chocolate blends are known for being delectably rich. Their fancy café sends coffee drinkers down the road, and chocolate lovers unite over the incredibly tempting treats on offer. There are also plenty of vegan options.
Friendly staff with quick service at little window. Food tastes good as well. Hopefully table service back soon.
Morky morky mork where do I begin? Hot chocolates sweet and tasty the marshmallow was the icing on the cake!
The cafe is a small trip out from the CDB but actually was an interesting stop. The cafe has some dining areas and cabinet food but they specialise in chocolate. The hot chocolate menu is based on the darkness of the chocolate, from 50% to 100%. They also have other items which they class as signature or adventure. I ended up trying the cacao chocolate flight as well as a lemon myrtle, honey shortbread. The shortbread was interesting, sweet and an interesting flavour. It was a bit hard though as I lost some trying to cut the biscuit.
The flight consisted of three glasses containg different chocolate components, a 70% dark hot chocolate, a cacao cold brew and a cacao ice cream. I loved the ice cream and hated the cold brew. I found the cold brew very medicinal and bitter. The hot chocolate was ok. It got more interesting when I played around with the flavours, trying the different things in different order. It was quite fun changing the flavour of each item by trying the other items beforehand.
I quite enjoyed the trip but think the chocolate was a bit too dark for my tastes. They also have a small table where you could buy the chocolate and other kits so that you could do it at home.
Hot Chocolate = Mork
Nothing more, love their pours anything and everything. And mind you they are the BEST, nothing short of that!
used to come here regularly for their shakes before moving from North Melbourne. Mork is definitely one of the things I miss the most. A must try for all chocolate lovers!
When the weather is cold and you need something comforting, a hot chocolate will almost always do the trick. Mork is an Australian hot chocolate brand and they have a chocolate brewhouse in North Melbourne where you can try their specialty hot chocolates with some indulgent cakes to match. They play on native flavours and use local Australian produce which makes it more of a hot chocolate experience.
Went here for a cheeky hot chocolate for breakfast during a cool weekend day.
Ordered of their signature's, "Forager" which was 50% drinking chocolate, macadamia and wattleseed icecream and eucalyptus honey. Wonderful experience of sight, taste and smell that highlighted native Australian flavours.
Also ordered the "Dark Milk and River Salt 65% Cacao" to takeaway, which was deliciously comforting.
Friendly service. Complimentary sparkling water available. Limited indoor table seating available. Only the 'House Hot Chocolates' are available for take away. Delicious-looking cakes and pastries are also available at the front counter. Prices a little on the higher end.
Overall, a fun and innovative twist on hot chocolates.
Mörk is the place for the perfect cuppa on a chilly day! We ordered The Breakfast - which is a spiced hot chocolate with oat and coconut milk. The campfire- is one of the most popular choice. It’s smokey and has a hint of salt. One of my favorite is the dark chocolate with river salt. We also ordered the hazelnut and coffee bundt. It’s was the right balance of sweet and bitterness with a nice crunch.

🍴Now serving #hotchocolate at the #queenvictorianightmarket, it’s a perfect drink to warm up in the winter cold. There’s a full range from junior to original to extra dark hot chocolate/ one with salt. We enjoyed the extra dark one that had a nice but not overpowering bitterness balanced out with the sweetness. They are also selling an interesting campfire hot chocolate for $8 that involves a blowtorch-smoked maple and marshmallow combination.
📍@morkchocolate, @vicmarket (winter night market now on every wed 5-10pm till 28 August)
Got the campfire hot chocolate which contains a skewer of toasted marshmallow, dense rich brownie, and a caramel square. The chocolate itself was strong, thick and not overly sweet, and the toppings complemented this really well.
Feeling cold? Need something to warm your soul? Say no more Mork chocolate is the place for you!!! They have the best hot chocolates, who doesn’t like a rich hot chocolate that is made from real chocolates !!! None of that fake syrup powder stuff
Really enjoyed Mork, their hot chocolates were nice, had some good standard choices and some lore conceptual "experience" hot chocolates. The giant chocolate cookie they had was phenomenonal and hands down the best I've ever had. The service was good and prices pretty reasonable too.
Visited Mörk Chocolate Brew House this afternoon for World Chocolate Day!
Today was a perfect afternoon for a tasty hot chocolate to keep us nice and warm 😍
The interior is beautifully designed with soft earthy tones.
We tried:
- Campfire Hot Chocolate
- Pure Dark
Overall the Hot Chocolates we're both creamy, rich and thick.
Rating: 4.5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟
A quirky space to try some interesting hot Chocolates, quite a small space so larger parties will be changed but the choices are very different and challenge your normal view on the sweet drink. Gluten free and dairy free options are also good.

Love a Mork mid morning instead of coffee to give me a pick me up. The even darker is quite authentic cacao flavour and not too sweet. Was even better when they had hazelnut milk but the almond milk is still enjoyable. Would love more options as can’t have dairy or soy.
Such a cute space and the staff are always friendly.
Loved the salty coconut milk hot chocolate, so yum! Beautiful space with lots of plants and love the light wood interior. Looking forward to trying one of the delicious cakes!
i'm so glad i discovered mork through a friend. it has been a wonderful experience. the staff are friendly and explained the dishes we ordered. it's a story waiting to unfold, i ordered the campfire and it immediately transports you to a campsite- the smell of the smoke, the burnt marshmallow and the delicious chocolate.
The chocolate here taste good. I ordered Dark Milk & River salt 65% cacao. Really liked it!
喝起来超级像“有深度的男生”的那种心动的感觉。有难以察觉的一丝盐味,配着巧克力,并不是特别苦,对我来说巧克力的苦(当然也因为加了牛奶嘛)根本不算苦!
Recommended by my sister who is a chocolate fan. Tried the smoke campfire hot choc and really enjoyed it. Would try different level of darkness next time.
4.0. Dedicated quality hot chocolate cafe with a variety of sumptuous chocolates.
🍹 DRINKS:
- "Pure Dark" 100% dark hot chocolate with notes of passionfruit, raspberries, toasted coconut - this wasn't on the main menu, but I asked for something without milk. This is essentially pure cocoa mixed with water to dilute it enough to drink. Very bitter (almost like coffee) and rich, had to add in drops of orange blossom to give it some sweetness. This was difficult to drink at first, but quickly grew on me.
🍽 FOOD: n/a
📷 AMBIENCE: cozy little cafe with nice seating (though a wait)
🧂SERVICE: lovely and very patient with explaining their craft

- 2019.04.14: Visited with T, C&C on the 2nd leg of our double date for a hot chocolate.
I'm craving hot chocolate from this wonderful place as I'm writing this review, the must tries : Campfire and Forager! So darn delicious and everything on the menu is different and delicious,a little expensive but the quality and taste justify it! This place should be Landmarked(if its not already)
Friendly service, different yet interesting variety of hot chocolate. Chocolate leans towards the darker type, the Easter hot cross bun reminds me of a jaffa and is definitely very rich with their choc based drinks. It's pricey but a good experience overall.
Will come back for:
+ Dark Milk and River Salt
+ Chocolate Orange Truffle Ball
Once in a while you come across a special place that does just one thing really well and special. This is Mork; their chocolate drinks are just fabulous. I had the dark milk and river salt drink, and it was velvety, rich and satisfying (and not over priced either). We also had a chocolate orange truffle ball which was indulgently rich and delicious. The place is not big, so it might take a while to get a seat, but it’s worth the wait. Another great fixture in this end of town and certainly one that I will be frequently dropping into.
If you’re going to go for a hot chocolate... there’s no better place (that I’ve found yet) ... in Melbourne. I’d take friends and family to visit Mork to experience it (if there’s space to sit). 👍🏻
Artisanal Hot Chocolate? Yes please!
DRINKS: We ordered the Iced Chocolate (apologies, I couldn’t remember it! :c) and the Original Dark 70% Cacao with Almond Milk and my god, I never knew Almond Milk Hot Chocolate could be this good but Mörk truly nailed it! It really does taste artisanal with the chocolate being very rich and because I tend to enjoy my chocolate being more chocolatey than sweet, this truly nailed it for me! It was so rich with flavour without being too rich that it makes you sick! The iced chocolate was amazing and very refreshing on hot days!
SERVICE: Extremely pleasant with the server being super helpful and providing us with her helpful recommendations! Highly commendable and the hospitality was fantastic!
AMBIENCE: Super calming and very aesthetically pleasing! I’d go back to study or just to have a catch up session with a friend! I LOVED it!
To pay $6 for a hot chocolate might be absurd to some people but you’re paying not just for a drink but an experience and it was so worth it! I’ll definitely return for their hot chocolate desserts!
What a wonderful experience at mork! It wasn’t really crowded when we arrived which added to the much appreciated quite atmosphere.
Ordered:
The forager $10
Review:
I’m always intrigued by our native Australian ingredients, not a lot of places have bush like ingredients like this (eucalyptus and wattle seed). It gave a very outback and traditional vibe which I loved. When the dish was first served, our friendly waitress sprayed an eucalyptus scented water over my dessert to give a bush “sense” to it, it was definitely a unique and relaxing experience. Now to the chocolate, I had chocolate that was already diluted with a bit of milk, but I could taste the depth and bitterness. It definitely not a low quality kind of chocolate! The ice cream was creamy, and the crushed, dry eucalyptus leaves gave the whole dish a special scent and aroma to it. The eucalyptus infused honey was light and not really sweet which was good because it didn’t over power the whole thing with sugar! I love how they explain what every dish is and how to enjoy it! Appreciated every single moment in here it’s just that nothing blew me away to the point I had to give a 5 on Zomato.
Best hot chocolate that I ever had! I am not a coffee person so I always more towards hot choco or tea person.
I can be a little bit fussy with my hot choco but mörk never failed me.
Love it!
Came here yesterday afternoon with my parents and brother. Small little place with amazing options to choose from. The staff were lovely and provided great service. I will definitely be back to try other things off the menu :)
Definitely the best chocolate in Melbourne! The service was amazing, too bad I only had enough money for a small item, but would definitely go again!
Creative ways of chocolate pairing with local ingredients.
Their caramel tart is just amazing and the chocolate bonbons were crafted perfectly by the chocolatier at Mörk.
Very lovely ambience and great service. Delightful desserts but unfortunately I only had time for one! Definitely worth a visit but perhaps get a few items to share between friends.
Bit pricey but oh so good.
We had the buffalo, forager & very novel, campfire.
Nice little treat with my girls on the cold afternoon we ducked in.
I like my hot chocolate but i am no expert on the stuff. The campfire hit choc was nice. Not overly rich or sweet. Just the theatrics with the smoke is worth a trip 😁
I highly recommend this "Campfire hot chocolate". Love it! Love this place! Great service, nice and friendly staff. Highly recommend for chocolate drinks lovers to make a visit here.
Definitely worth going back again. Modern and cosy space. Clean and fresh. Chocolate drinks are very creative and delicious and worth exploring.
Went twice already! And will be back again whenever I can.
I ordered Buffalo, I could tell the chocolate is very high quality, not too sweet no too bitter, everything is in moderation. The staff is very friendly, I could easily have 2 of Buffalo :)
Tried the Hazelnut Hot Choco companied with little Ginger cake.
The hot choc was good as it is velvety, thick and rich. Not too sweet, not too bitter. What was nice was the thin disc of hazelnut crisps. Really nutty and caramelly to nibble along the hot cacao. The combination of hazelnut aroma was so pleasant.
Gotta love Mörk!
FINALLY a chance for a non-coffee drinker like myself to talk endlessly about a hot/otherwise beverage?
Chocolates of all types and infused with all flavours! And when I say infused I mean comes in a dome of sweet woodsmoke level of smoked!
And lots of wonderful chocolatey treats to come with.
Gem of a place to bring even the most stalwart coffee drinker to. 💯
On this very trip to Melbourne, I must say Mörk was one of the great surprises we found. Revolving around a chocolate theme, this place offers an array of cacao drinks. The characteristic menu takes on inspirations from Australia's natural landscape, and turns that into a theatrical and a culinary experience - the whole thing is destined to impress. For chocolate lovers this is as good as chocolate gets.
Best hot chocolate in Melbourne.
Best hot chocolate experience in Melbourne.
We had the 'Layered' and the 'Forager'. I could have eaten a whole bowl of that creme catalana it was that good. I proudly wore that drink on my face. The Forager was truly an experience, I won't give it away but it's an ode to native ingredients.
The brew house is very calm and serene. Service is excellent. Staff are knowledgeable.
I dare you not to take home a container of takeaway hot chocolate powder to make in your own time. I DARE YOU!
Friendly attentive employees and delicious (very rich!!) drinks. We had one each of the classic 70% chocolate milk, and -the layered - chocolate milk with an orange zest infused creme anglaise type creme on top. If the two I loved the second-the citrus balanced out the chocolate and was AMAZING.
The taste, service, and attention to detail in the way the drinks look is all 5* :)
An amazing place to have chocolate treats. The staple hot chocolates are a good safe order. Anything with ice cream is amazing. All made in house and such beautiful ice cream. Menu is seasonal. The whole nut is a lovely hazelnut milk hot chocolate with a hazelnut wafer treat. Complete mid morning/afternoon treat. The twice baked chocolate cake is indulgently calorie worthy. Takeaway one, 10sec in the microwave with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream beats most restaurant dessert
Good place if you like dark chocolate. I am a bit of a sweet tooth so I ordered of the kids menu 😅 good service and cool dishes. A very small place though and we had to wait to get in but that was fine.
A cute small cafe with limited seating. We were lucky that we got a table straight away but the place got packed pretty quick on a tuesday afternoon. I ordered the buffalo which had a nice scoop of buffalo milk icecream served with hot milk chocolate and a chocolate crisp. Icecream was surprisingly light and fresh which accompanied very well with the milk chocolate. You can taste the richness of the chocolate which thickened up with the icecream as it cooled down. My friend got the forager, macadamia icecream with eucalptyus honey sauce and macadamia dark chocolate. Eucalyptus aroma was nice but not too strong. Great customer service too! Definitely will come back for more.
Great tasting hot chocolate, one of the best I’ve ever tasted. I had the ‘even darker’ hot chocolate which is 85% cacao and it tasted just how I like it, rich, slightly sweet, with just the right amount of milk. The manager gave us a complimentary chocolate bites with crunchy bits inside, what a nice and friendly customer service!
Mock chocolate is where I love to bring my friend who are visiting Melbourne for the first time. Superb presentation but the chocolate taste could be improved. My fav is the chocolate with custard orange flavour on top! Will always come back
Been wanting to try the place after a friends recco. Finally visited it, the place was empty when we went in, but got crowded pretty quickly. The staff is very friendly and explained the menu to us.
We ordered the layered and hazelnut milk chocolate.
The biscuit accompanied with the hazelnut milk was really good. The layered, which consists of both hot chocolate and cold custard was awesome and i haven't tasted anything like it before.
Will definitely visit the place again the various different options in the place.
Definitely a must visit for all chocolate lovers! The sleek interior design of this place makes it really nice for a catch-up-over-coffee (but not coffee) morning.
This place specialises in different kinds of hot / iced chocolate drinks - presentations and flavours are all very interesting. I ordered the Hot Chocolate with eucalyptus honey and ice cream shown in picture (can’t remember the name of this specific drink) but was very unique and wasn’t too sweet to my liking. There’s also a range of choices depending on how many % of cocoa you would like in your drink.
Loved how the staff (they were very friendly) provided directions on how to taste each drinks the right way as well, makes it even more exciting having them! Will definitely be back!

The parentals have never been to Mork Chocolate brew house (neither have I) so I suggested we go and check it out. It’s a very small brew house and very limited seatings so unfortunately they don’t do bookings either which is a shame. So first in best dressed boys and girlies. Mr D got the Frozen campfire and boy oh boy was this refreshing. It’s was very rich but not sweet and the vanilla marshmallow will sweeten it up if you need it.
Very progressive chocolate place. The drinks can be innovative then you standard ordinary hot chocolate. Love it and would def come back again if I’m in town or they should have open one in Sydney
Hands down my favourite hot chocolate cafe in Melbourne! The place may be small, however it makes for a cosy setting. The staff is always so welcoming and friendly. They explain how to drink certain items on the menu really well which further enhances the experience.
Mork literally has the best chocolate in Melbourne. I have had a million of them in various cafes and today I finally get to go to their actual store for a visit.
Its a cold day but I feel like some milkshake not sure why. It was soooo good! So thick but not overly rich and not too sweet either. Staff were all extremely knowledgable about their products which is another add on. Also couldn't resist myself for a cake, and it was yummy! Will definitely be back! Quite a small space tho so it might get really busy.
If you a fan of hot chocolate. Definitely the place you need to go. Personally, I like their dark hot chocolate, not too sweet with the frangance of cocoa and everything you can expect from a cup of hot chocolate.
Needless to say, Mörk provides the best hot chocolate in town and this is easily backed by just how many cafes they now supply for! We would recommend trying the campfire item on their menu which gains plus points for the theatrical element, however even a classic hot chocolate will do as you will get an almost identical taste with a smaller price tag. Their hot chocolate’s are simply divine, velvety smooth and do have a somewhat thick consistency to them (looooove!!) which vary in richness so choose to your preference!
Also serving a few pastries and delicacies this place is a fantastic cure to your sweet tooth!
We were put on a waitlist to get in, but were seated within ten minutes which was great. Sparkling water was a nice edition. I got the campfire hot chocolate, which tasted lovely and was fun to mix up, but I think ultimately should have been a few dollars cheaper. While the chocolate is rich and you don't need more than the serving size, I think $10 is slightly expensive for a normal-sized drink, even though I know it's fancy. I also found the tables (seating two) a bit long - a weird thing to point out, but I felt like I was closer to the people sitting either side of me at the next tables over to my left and right (and could hear them better) than my partner sitting across from me, which didn't really want to make me stay and enjoy myself any longer after we'd finished our drinks.
One of my favourite hot chocolate place esp winter! Although the hot chocolate is not as thick as I prefer it to be, the quality was not compromised. This factor is just a matter of preference really. Recommended to try the campfire (very insta worthy and it actually tastes nice) and your typical hot chocolate is always the way to go!

Can’t believe I am finally here, the ultimate heaven for all chocolate lovers💖 As temperatures are dropping with Easter approaching, this is the best timing to come here and warm yourself up with a cup of hot chocolate🐰🍫.
.
After a long awaited time, TRIPLE CHOCOLATE MÖRK X BUNS ($6.0) is finally back! this is the main reason I came here since I ordered them online for pick up in store (I missed out last year so be smart and order early to avoid disappointment⚠️). It contained dark chocolate chips, candied orange, sour cherries, spiced soaked currants and a chocolate ganache centre. It did live up to my expectations! It has a crumbly texture, rich but not overly sweet. I recommend heating it for 30secs, that would taste even better.
.
Their Signatures CAMPFIRE ($10)🔥 is the must-try item. The beech wood smoke inside the beaker, definitely an interesting sensory experience. So fun!😝 the toasted marshmallow had added the charcoal salt added a different taste to the 70% dark hot chocolate with the toasted marshmallow made a perfect sweet treat!
.
COCONUT AND ALMOND CHOCOLATE MILK ($7) 🍫🥛 I think it actually has more taste of cacao in it, a balanced blend of 50% cacao and milk. That’s how you make a creamy, silky smooth Hot chocolate!😋👍🏻
.
Staff were friendly and helpful, overall a pleasant experience I would def back for more.

We came here on Valentine's day around 4.30 PM before their closing time at 5PM. Thankfully, they were not too busy and we were able to relax inside the small but cosy space.
The seating area has some small chairs and tables on the left of the entrance (for a group of two) and a large desk like space to sit in the centre of the store (for bigger groups). The theme of polished wood mixed with copper-gold accents accentuated by greenery all around the store gives the space a beautiful look.
Food: The menu consists of different kinds of chocolate-based drinks. Since we were too full to have something heavy, we tried the Cacao Brew - Chocolate beans brewed for 22 hours! That's my description of how it tastes, not sure if it is actually brewed that way.
Flavor notes: Green Banana, stone fruit, citrus. It is served with coconut blossom liquid sugar. The aroma of this drink is intoxicating...like inhaling the tropicals of Madagascar! The sugar is sweet like dense caramel and again, has a mindblowing aroma like crushed flowers.
We also tried the gluten-free Chocolate Cacao Cake - it was surprisingly dense and slightly bitter because of the cacao dusting - something you'd enjoy if you love dark chocolate. It also would have tasted better if it was cold. I was unable to eat more than a bite since I had lunch an hour ago, and the cake was heavy. I'm sure one can complete the cake if on an empty stomach.
And finally, the Frozen Campfire - chocolate ice-cream in a glass topped off by a toasted marshmallow and lots of smoke when you take off the lid of the glass (makes for a great show!) with a side of chocolate "ash". You then pour in the 70% cacao chocolate milk around the ice-cream and then eat-drink your way thru it.
Personally, I was very excited by the aesthetics but less impressed by the flavour which was average at best - it tasted like regular ice-cream and chocolate milk and not as "cacao" as expected. Price: It cost $8 for the chocolate brew, $9 for the cake and $11 for the frozen campfire.
Would definitely come back for the chocolate brew - there's nothing like it in Melbourne that I know of! (yet)Service: Super friendly staff, accommodated us even though we came in close to closing time.
Have been meaning to try this chocolate brewhouse for a while, but have always been put off by the long queues outside. Decided to try it out on a day off from work - cafe was half empty which was perfect! Small seating area inside, possibly fitting 20 people and a few more at the bar.
Unfortunately, it was a hot day, and we were hoping to try the morkshakes, but the machines were down :(
What we had:
Spider - soda foam with ice cream and cacao nibs (this didn't feel very chocolate-y, and we were expecting something different...)
Cereal & Milk Sundae - beautifully created bowl of 'home-made cereal' with milk chocolate
Frozen Campfire - aesthetically pleasing, and definitely a challenge to create. However, we thought the maple smoke overpowered the dish
Overall, everything was aesthetically pleasing, but unfortunately, the chocolate didn't quite do it for me :(
Really nice place for a chocolate fix. Isn’t too expensive and nice deco. Perfect for summer and chocolate lovers! Had the chocolate milk shake 👌 and wife had the spider, which was ok. Just stick with chocolate!
I love everything available here. Good quality chocolate menu 😁.... and i love the freshly made marshmallows.
Only little negative is its not a cosy cafe to chill out.
Great service. Friendly staff and exciting interesting options to choose from. If you’re looking for a sweeter hot chocolate this isn’t the place for you but for those looking for a rick hot chocolate it is wonderful... although a little expensive
There’s so much hype about this place it was worth a visit. In the heart of North Melbourne with the price tag to match is the glossy hot chocolate house with that special shiny veneer. Taste wise was nothing too distinctive or special, the true value comes from the aesthetics and the self making nature of the signature campfire hot chocolate.
Mork is really a place to go if you looking for a chocolate hit because pretty much all their products contain chocolate. The Campfire - possibly their most sought after dish because of its theatrical effect - is nothing more than a normal tasting hot chocolate with smoke that wasn’t aromatic. For $9, I was expecting more, and more hot chocolate because the glass was only less than half filled. But I was pleased with their twice-baked cake and the salted caramel tart was not bad too.
And this well-hyped cafe with a dine-in service surely deserves a restroom, cos you’d find yourself running to the nearby library after a few cups of hot chocolate. Having said that, their service was smokin’ i.e friendly.
Highly Recommended: Layered Chocolate
i was finally able to come down to try out Mork Chocolate Brew House after seeing all these posts from social media. The interior of the brew house was simple and relaxing, with white walls and the minimalist design. the brew house also sells baked goods which have all been made with mork chocolate, so be sure to try them as well if you visit.
My partner and I have been itching to try this place for a long time now. We ordered the campfire chocolate and an even darker. The campfire is worth trying if you haven't had it before as the whole experience is quite cool with the smoke and the marshmallow, but for half the price you can also just order a hot chocolate (they have quite a few to choose from).
The taste was amazingly rich and worth the price (which is not that expensive if you compare it to other rather ordinary places around Melbourne).
Would definitely go back!
Went there with my friend who is a huge chocolate enthusiast and she say it was the best hot chocolate she tried. Other than order the 70 percent, We were abit adventurous and daredevil and order their 100percent cacao drink (jus cacao and water, portion is like an espresso size) which was a challenge for both of us. It was bitter and taste abit like soil. Overall a good experience and would come again
The campfire hot chocolate is amazing. The concept and the theatre is a wow factor and the hot chocolate itself isn’t too sweet. I really enjoyed the salt in it.
I always wanted to pay this place a visit and finally i got the chance. Ordered a brownie ,a choc tart and also a very interesting drinks. Kaffir lime foam with hot chocolate. It was served in a martini glass and the hot chocolate was poured into the glass by the waiter in front of me. It tastes absolutely amazing and indulgent. The brownie and tart both have very strong choc taste. Really yummy. I certainly want to come back for more.
A quaint little cafe located in North Melbourne. Their hot chocolate is delicious and full flavoured. They also have a selection of sweet treats at the counter. Service was welcoming and friendly.
We came here to try their famous hot chocolates and since we were there we had to try some of their sweet treats on display.
I went for their theatrical campfire which was unique and delicious. My husband went for their mocha and then we tried the 65% hot chocolate with the sea salt.
We also tried their salted caramel tiny which was tiny and rich in a good way and their famous double baked chocolate cake which my son hogged.
Friendly staff and hot chocolates that are different to try in Melbourne.
This cafe is definitely worth a visit, preferably on a chilly morning so you can really enjoy their delicious hot chocolate. Great customer service and the food presentation is amazing - gives you a bit of a magical experience and really makes the place something special. Only downside is the size of the place, tiny with only a few tables and stools which are placed very close to each other. If you want to have a private conversation with someone, pick another place. I really recommend to go there at their opening time not to have to wait for a seat. Cool cafe experience tho!
After all the hype surrounding this place, I decided to try it out with some friends. Very well decorated space albeit very limited in terms of space. Service was great, the waitresses were very friendly and helpful.
We ordered quite a few items. I had the layered and i tried some of the chocolate chip cookie. The layered was something special, chocolate milk at the bottom and custard on top with, as they say, a hint of orange. In my opinion, the orange was more than just a hint. The cookie was good though, it was very chocolatey.
Minimalistic and clean environment serving beautifully rich chocolate. I ordered "Campfire" which was served with a glass of smoke that gave the hot chocolate a fascinating fragrance. The quality of hot chocolate is undoubtedly high, however the Campfire was slightly overpriced for the amount of hot chocolate you actually get. I would probably suggest ordering the regular hot chocolate and watch on to neighboring campfires.
Excellent and worth going anytime. Close on Monday. Highly recommend the campfire hot chocolate that contains a grilled marshmallow plus a magical way of pouring, the signature of their menu.
