I ordered a chai latte. Had to be the most watery chai latte I've ever had, then I noticed you use tea bags of chai, which is not very good for "on the go" due to lack of brewing time. Just use the powdered like all other cafes please (y), or if you want to be trendier you can make your own chai spice. Edit: service is great though.

The reason why I gave 5 stars to this cafe I've only been once is that their service was efficient, professional staff and sandwich makers who actually wear gloves and used it the right way (seen too many who wore glasses but still used fingers to handle meat and then used gloves to handle money).<br/><br/>The waiter was enthusiastic and actually wanted to be there. I was waiting for my food for about five min when he noticed and asked what I ordered and followed it up for me.<br/><br/>The focaccia I got was called kinetic focaccia or something and it tasted really nice esp with the tender chicken pieces and pineapple in it.

A cafe on Flinders Lane with the friendliest staff and chef. It’s our go-to for morning brekkie and has everything you need / crave for in their menu. My favourite is the Kinetic Atlantic - smoked salmon on Turkish bread, with hollandaise and poached eggs 👌

3.5<br/>I thought I had reviewed Cafe Kinetic ages ago but for some reason never did. It’s actually quite nice to sit out the back and avoid the queues of people lining up for their take away. They do prepared cabinet food and a simple breakfast menu that suited us today. I had Bacon and poached eggs on toast and an apple juice while KD ordered fried eggs on toast with an almond milk latte. <br/><br/>I got a generous serve of bacon with my poached eggs and the toast was nice and grainy... I would have liked a bit of butter spread for my toast as it was lacking. Poached eggs were perfectly cooked and that yolky burst satisfying.<br/><br/>Kellies almond milk latte split most likely due to the type of coffee used... I’ve seen this happen before with soy milk with more robusta heavy blends like Vittoria coffee (Robusta is more acidic). She still claimed to have enjoyed the taste and you could see the strength was really there.

Very casual and serves up a good feed.

Came here looking for a big breakfast before attending a training event in Flinders Lane. They opened quite early, and it was a very spacious venue.<br/><br/>The Staff were quite friendly and cheery at a very early hour which was lovely.<br/>I ordered one of their big breakfasts that had the black pudding, as its not something I tend to come across regularly in big breakfasts when I eat out.<br/><br/>Overall, it was a good mix, though the black pudding, bacon, and sausage were overly salty. The eggs were cooked great but the mushrooms were cold by the time I got the plate unfortunately. I had ordered a long black, and it tasted pretty bitter, so I think they may have run the cup through the grounds to fill the cup rather than a shot of coffee plus a top up of hot water.<br/><br/>I sat there for a good while as I had been quite early for the training, but they had no issues with it and didn't try to hurry me out or anything of that nature.<br/><br/>Only one other odd gripe was that the knife provided was quite blunt, which made it a bit harder to cut through the sausage/black pudding from the skin side, and also the toast.<br/><br/>I'd probably go again and try other things on their menu.

Found this place while walking back to office from a meeting. The coffee was good however the ambience is alright. A 3.5 would be more fair rating but zomato doesn't have that option so an extra .5 for kinetic. However if you are looking just for coffee you won't be disappointed.

Well i thought this place was fixed however i just ordered my take away coffee and toast which was all good till i arrive to my office. Surprise surprise!<br/>I ordered a cheese tomato avo toast in multigrain bread and I got vegemite in<br/>normal bread. I had to go back and get my original toast... it should not be<br/>hard to match orders to names…anyways, I will make sure I check my order before<br/>walking out if I go here again..i’d suggest you the same, I was lucky that my<br/>office is close by, if you are far, it might be harder to eat what you want and<br/>might go against your dietary requirements...

I really like Cafe Kinetic! Consistently good coffee, unpretentious atmosphere and fast coffee turnaround. $4.00 for a medium latte, which is reasonable for the area (maybe even "cheap" when compared to the surrounding cafes).

Impressive cafe. I don't know why I've never heard of it before. It has a fairly basic layout but what the fit out lacks in style the food and service has in spades.<br/><br/>It was a cold day and I fancied a warm meal. Basically I had chicken and vegetables. I forget the name of the chicken but it came with a reddish sauce and was very nice and moist. There was a wonderful selection of vegetables on offer too. I loaded up a fairly sizable plate of food and was very impressed with the price. All of the food was extremely tasty indeed. I finished with a coffee which was lovely too. <br/><br/>This is a very impressive business model. The place hums and I'm not surprised. They're serving very good tasty food here at reasonable prices. No wonder it's popular.<br/><br/>I'm intent on returning for breakfast very soon.

Good coffee, good food. Although we were quite disturbed by the lack of food hygiene in the kitchen. The staff were all handling cheese without wearing gloves and clearly cross contaminating food with their cleaning cloths.

Went there for lunch today and it wasnt too bad for a buffet. Lasagne was delicious, sides were a little dry such as the cauliflower. Wide variety of salads and i had a bit of each which were nice. Good place to go for a quick lunch with no waiting.

It seems I always struggle to find a decent place for lunch in the city that is quick, reasonably priced and of good quality. It's either a bad corner sandwich bar, a food court in a shopping centre or you steel someone's lunch from the fridge in the employees lounge at the office. So this week I made it my mission to find an establishment that could tick the three boxes, quick-price-quality. <br/>I started my quest in the most unlikely spot in Melbourne, Flinders Lane. Now don't get me wrong I love Flinders Lane, and it houses some of my favourite restaurants in Melbourne, but they, to my mind, don't meet the brief. So I was surprised when I stumbled across Cafe Kinetic. This little gem ticked all the boxes and more. As with majority of venues in flinders lane, the cafe is narrow and long. It's divided into three major sections, pre made rolls and sandwiches, design your own sandwich and a hot and cold buffet serving soups, hot dishes and salads. I opted for a simple made to order sandwich of freshly cooked chicken and salad on white bread. I know that this is such a simple dish but believe me, so many places can't even make a humble sandwich, but I'm pleased to say Cafe Kinetic have bailed it. Fresh bread, together with fresh ingredients, made for a sensational sandwich. <br/>So if your looking for a great uncomplicated lunch in the CBD, then head to Cafe Kinetic on Flinders Lane.

My go-to spot for lunch at the Paris End of Collins Street. Lunch buffet is the best deal around by far: always great European cuisine and very fresh salads. They do a mean breakfast sandwich too: focaccia with bacon and fried egg. Wouldn't change a thing here.

We were taken aback - we loved the service here and the food was brilliant and great value! We felt so welcome and loved the fresh quality of the chicken tenders and herbs and ingredients on the open breads (we forgot the name) but they were lovely. Fusion Greek/Cypriot/Egyptian/Latin ingredients and lots of spice but very much your coffee and work lunch meals but done superb. 10/10 best service - but beat the rush!! It gets busy after 12:30

Gonna miss these guys. My regular morning coffee and often lunch spot. Alas my work is shifting buildings. I am going to miss these guys - they yell out my coffee order is ready before I've even asked or paid for it. They see me coming in my bleary eyed early morning state and know what my regular order is. The staff are so friendly and the main guy is on top of his game as a host..I assume he is the owner..or one of them... The food is the best in this strip as far as quality produce, value for money, variety of options. We've been spoilt by Kinetik...and now we're off to Docklands. :( Whoever moves into my office building when I'm gone - Kinetik is the hot tip.

Switched On and Fabulous. Can I just say that I have never had a bad experience at CK - The staff are always super friendly and the food not only tastes amazing, but is healthy and looks fabulous. I have also had office catering from Kinetic and I can safely say that they provide a very professional service that is also amazing value for money (and I have used many catering services) They are genuinely happy to have your business and it makes it such a pleasure to visit. If you are down that end of town you must get a big sambo!

One of the best goumert rolls ever!. Had the gourmet roll, toasted with roast beef, mushrooms, greens, cheese, caramelised onions. it was devine and comfortable in saying one of the best rolls I have ever had! quality ingredients, decent serving, coffee is consistently amazing too. this place is always packed at lunch and for good reason. I will be trying the hot food bar for sure!staff are lovely and friendly too.

Great Lunch place. Ate lunch here at least 1-2 times a week for a year whilst working 4 doors up. They are a Sort of gormet Buffet style lunch place, Daily specials would include Roast beef, Roast Pork, A selection of 8-10 Vegie dishes, 5-6 salads, Lasagne, Corned beed, Yemista, Shepherds pie, Honey carrots. Probably the best Lunch place I have come accross in a long time - lots of variety, at the front they have Manouche (Lebhanese Zaatar wraps with Various fillings, all are great). :-)
