Went there for the first time with my daughter and 3 year old granddaughter for brunch. Staff were great and seemed very used to catering for small children and treated her like a customer, not like an annoyance or something to be ignored. I enjoyed my Florentine eggs, though like many places lately, the hollandaise sauce was fairly bland. Coffee was great. I loved that they kept the old Coin Laundry neon sign hanging up outside the building. I remember when it was a real coin laundry. I will definitely go there again.

Had the bush lamb and sweet potato hash and enjoyed every bite of it!! This was the first place I went to after restrictions eased; super satisfying! The waiters and waitresses there were really friendly too; the cafe practiced social distancing well too. Happy to travel out of the city to this place again!

We come here all the time. Food is great & service is always friendly. Just had the Californian Super Good Salad with chicken. The beetroot hummus is amazing & the chicken is so delicious & tender!!! Devoured it too quickly to get a photo of the dish beforehand.

I ordered the Chicken Sandwich w. Lettuce + tomato & onion accompanied by some beautifully seasoned chips 🍗🍟 Decent portion with great flavours leaving you well satisfied 👏
And I also enjoyed the Chocolate Frappe, which was delicious and light!

Really easy to get there, just located outside Armadale station. Came here with some friends and absolutely loved it! My coffee was amazing and so was my avo on toast. The pita was very nice and warm and all the flavors blended so well! definitely recommend this brunch spot :)
I work in the area and stop by Coin Laundry frequently! Lovely little cafe on the corner which offers outside seating and inside seating which is flooded with natural light! Coffee is amazing and I love love the Calamari salad and the shakshuka! The menu has a great range of options! Delicious and so fresh! Staff are lovely and very attentive as well!

I was drawn in by Coin laundry cafes enticing menu which offered not only the staple brunch items, but also a few unique dishes.
Deviating away from my usual avo and eggs meal, I went with something a bit more filling- the Bush lamb and sweet potato hash. A huge dish with flavours exploding off the plate- if you order this, prepare to be walking out the cafe with a food baby! The combination of charred corn, sweet potato, green peas, kale, tomato, pomegranate, fried egg and generous chunks of roasted lamb shoulder on sourdough toast tantalises your taste buds, and is overall very impressive. My only gripe would be that the sourdough toast was a bit too tough for my liking. The crust was extremely hard, where I had to use all my mighty strength to saw through the toast.
We also ordered the spicy grilled chicken sandwich. Whilst it was not spicy at all, we enjoyed everything else about it. The toasted Turkish bread was delightful, and the side of fries was super tasty. Simple ingredients of avo, tomato, kewpie mayo, greens and chicken - however very effective and made for a great combination.
Good cafe with good food. Serving size is very generous and I see a lot of people leaving food on the plate behind. The eggs Benedict is slightly different. Be warned, it is a good but very rich and heavy dish so it is great for those who have a hearty appetite. Coffee is nice but as a personal preference taste, the Vietnamese ice coffee was a bit of an acquired taste for me. Service was quick and place is a nice spot to spend a leisurely weekend morning.
Nice little cafe! Must have been the wettest Melbourne Cup day for some time, but they are open and fully packed for the brunch rush as there was a small flood at the outside tables. Luckily we didn’t have to wait too long. The staff were friendly. Unfortunately they only had the Herald Sun to keep us entertained!
Coffees were great. Just the right temperature and didn’t take too long. We had the smashed pea special and the chilli scramble (eggs), extra chilli.
Very generous serves, I felt full for the rest of the day and the flavours were excellent. The chilli scramble did need the extra chilli sauce (which they gave me on the side) to give it a bit of zing.
2 mains and 4 coffees came to $60. I suppose this is pretty standard these days but if you consider that one ate enough to skip a meal that’s good value.

The Coin Laundry cantilevered sign reminds me of my student days on easy Sunday mornings when a handful of coins could get you your washing done and a cup of coffee at a nearby cafe.
There isn’t anything fancy about the cafe or pretend to be otherwise. Look up you’ll see old tea towels for ceiling insulation keeping the space warm and cosy. Look in the cup and drink, the coffee has huge flavours and you’ll need that second one soon after.
Wow the dishes are presented so nicely, perhaps slightly largish. There is an asiatic feel to each presentation, no doubt there is probably a great Asian chef in the kitchen. We had the corn fitters and Pumpkin mash with peas and prosciutto and as sides crispy bacon skewers and hash brown. One mark taken away resulting in a score of 4stars. Hash brown should always be super crunchy not soaked in oil.
Cute little cafe with plenty of sunshine. Ordered a eggs benedict and was completely surprised - may even be my favourite eggs benny in all of Melbourne! Incredible mix of flavours especially by adding kimchi & and apple - my compliments to the chef! Super generous serves too. The only downfall was the coffee which came out lukewarm and a tad too bitter (the kind that leaves an aftertaste in your mouth when you're done) but I would definitely be back to try more items on the menu!
We ordered wagyu beef burger, slow cooked lamb, calamari salad. The dishes are very well presented. The chief put a lot of different ingredients inside the dish and gave the food special smell and taste. I liked it.
Ordered Cauliflower, haloumi and turmeric fritters and I love it! The accent, kohirabi-fennel pickle ginger worked pretty good. The fritter was crispy and nicely soft inside. Great big meal!
Loved this place!! Such amazing food! Everything we had was delicious and very good portion sizes. Couldn’t fault the dishes. The chips had an incredible spice that were so tasty and couldn’t stop eating them. The service was lovely.

Just across from Armadale station Coin Laundry Café are doing brunch and they are doing it well. What used to be an old coin laundry has been transformed into a lovely brunch spot. First time trying this place and the food was next level. We got the PPP - Pea, Pumpkin & Prosciutto, and the Bush Lamb & Sweet Potato Hash. Both dishes were so flavorful, fresh, and really generous portions. Staff were friendly, coffee was really good, and can’t wait to head back next weekend and try out the other dishes.

Just had a coffee (skinny cappuccino) here. It was nice but not really anything particularly special. My partner liked his soy milk cappuccino a lot though (started drinking before I could get a pic 😂)!
Have been here three times, the first two I was not overly impressed. But was in the area the other day and decided to give them another go. Was pleasantly surprised to see they have completely changed the menu, was kind of overwhelmed by choice as a lot of things now appealed! Had smashed avo with a side of beans, and two strong lattes. The smashed avo was great, well seasoned and a generous serve. Beans also delicious. Just would have appreciated buttered toast... The coffee was pretty good too, but a little inconsistent, the second tasted over extracted. Service was nice and friendly, and really quick despite the cafe being very busy.
The food was pretty good but my experience was spoilt by a rather rude waiter who ignored us when we were trying to get his attention and then sulked when he had to serve us. No matter how good the food is, if the service is bad we wouldn’t go back.
This is my local and always impressed with the coffee and lovely service. We ate for the first time here today for lunch and everything was delicious - great place that were likely to go to again and again. We ordered the Spanish omelette, eggs benny, wagyu burger and chicken sandwich. No complaints.

Coin Laundry is a vibrant and welcoming café, tucked away in the backstreets of Armadale. With the station only across the road, they are very accessible to all. The staff are really attentive and are always asking if you need anything else. Their menu is very extensive as it extends from breakfast to lunch. We tried two dishes from their breakfast menu and were not disappointed. As you guys know I am a huge fritter fan, so when I saw they had them on the menu I got way too excited. These fritters are thick, creamy and have so much flavour. The avocado is a great addition as it adds another flavour to the meal, and it really stands out in each bite. The fetta sprinkled on top is such a great idea and satisfies any type of craving. Overall, I really enjoyed the entire dish and cannot stop thinking about it!
Their portion sizes are extremely generous so you will never go hungry! Baked eggs are actually so delicious and I think it is a very underrated dish. The creaminess of the tomato mixed with the eggs blend perfectly together, forming a really yummy meal. The chorizo adds a bit of spice and tang to the meal, whilst the fetta smooths out the uneven textures and flavours. The toast on the side is perfect to scoop up this runny meal and makes the dish more substantial to keep you going for the entire day. I would recommend you trying this dish if you do liked baked eggs because I believe they have executed this very well!
Our experience here is always incredible and we really enjoy our visits.

Had the baked beans dish and it was definitely perfect for a call day. In terms of flavours it had a small kick and it was pretty nice. Possibly not the best I had before but not a bad choice either.

Enjoyed the meal, no waiting time at all on a Sunday which is amazing given the location! Partner had the Rueben and he liked it and I had the chicken brioche special - okay but not what I was expecting; could have used a bit more dressing/mayo. Chips are amazing, my favourite chips!! Only reason it's not a 4 is due to such a long wait - we waited well over 40 minutes for our meal and other tables who came after waiting no more than 10 minutes.

Only issue is the staff still don't remember my name when I have been coming here for a long time and a few times when it's been busy the foods been lacking a bit of love.
My other issue is the food is a bit over priced and the charge for using card come on it's 2017.

Love visiting this cafe! Around the corner from our house we always know we can get a good feed. Favourites from the menu include the special that sometimes appears of the smashed pumpkin, smashed avocado you cant go wrong with and the baked eggs are to die for! If you're feeling like a salad theres normally quite a few on the specials menu that are always amazing. Such good vibes outside on a nice sunny day and always get outstanding customer service.
Always our favourite and Coun Laundry never fails. Can never go wrong with the Coun Laundry Breakfast and Steak Sandwich. Coffee is never bad here and always consistant.
There's been a lot of smashed avo in my life and this is one of the better ones although the name of this dish is actually dukkah toast. We waited about 15 minutes for our table of 4 which was just in time given my partner avoids brunch queues like the plague and tends to lose his patience any longer than 20 minutes. A former coin laundry, the space is simple and located on a beautiful leafy street. Now maybe I'm just a foodaholic that eats too much but I really don't like it when places give me only one piece of bread, no matter how big it is. Thanks for the attempted portion control but there are many other cafes nearby in Armadale that I much prefer. Nothing really wrong with it but I wouldn't necessarily come back
Great vibe here, 8 years running, I walk in and Max my server was shooing a pigeon... Cutest little thing, the bird was okay. 😏😂 Kidding aside, vegan brekky is solid. THEY HAVE COLD DRIP. One accessible power point on bench, No Wi-Fi.

Coin Laundry is a very simple café that serves up all the usual brunch options. Great coffee and decent food. Would recommend if in the area. Average coffee. 6.5/10. Spanish Breakfast $17.50 of Fresh Herbs, Truss Cherry Tomatoes, Spanish Onion, Fetta & Smoked Salmon in Scrambled Eggs. Nice and creamy eggs. Feta adds lots of flavour to the scramble. Matches well with the salmon. 7.5/10
Quiet little corner cafe with reasonable coffee, good food (had the lamb with cous cous), generous servings and friendly staff. Would highly recommend this spot if you are after brunch and want to be away from the busy high street joints.

Had the pleasure of a day off so thought I would try this gem as Ive only heard good things! The place didn't disappoint. Nestled in the leafy suburbs, coin laundry served a delish brekky and nice cuppa with a smile. Generous servings and importantly they were not stingy with their avo! I will certainly return!
Absolutely love this cafe. The food is consistently delicious (breakfast & lunch) & the service is great. My favorite dish is the house made baked beans, with creamy goats cheese & a baked egg. The French toast is very naughty, but amazing. Yum! The coffee is always good as well.

On Tuesday, I visited Coin Laundry in Armadale with my dear friend S to catch up over breakfast and coffee. I hadn’t visited Coin Laundry in about 5 years due to being rather disappointed with my food last time, albeit, I thought I would give CL another crack for good measure.
Coin Laundry itself is a converted little space that, as its name suggests used to house washing machines and dryers but now plays host to delicious breakfasts and lunches! The decor is absolutely adorable with tiny little cut-outs of felt clothing hung up around the cafe, paying tribute to the laundromat theme.
I was pleasantly surprised to see the menu had changed since I last visited and I quickly selected the Dukkah Toast. I really enjoy Middle Eastern foods and to put a twist on a classic avocado breakfast dish made my heart sing. The breakfast was beautifully presented, with sourdough toast topped with roasted vine tomatoes. marinated goat’s cheese and avo, delicately sprinkled with dukkah. I am a big believer that every avocado breakfast needs an additional accompaniment beyond cheese and tomato and dukkah was a fantastic touch. The flavours complimented each other very well and added a crunch to the usually soft texture that avocado provides.
S decided on the organic quinoa bircher with dates, almond milk, coconut, strawberries, pomegranates and roasted almonds and was very happy with it! I’m not a muesli fan myself, so we will have to take her word for it. Thanks S! What I can comment on was that it was beautifully presented, with the most vibrant baby pink colour you can imagine. S was impressed with the difference in taste that quinoa provided as opposed to oats.
Coffee was on the mark, nothing makes me more happy than a well made magic. I would also like to make a point of how lovely and smiley the wait staff were, honestly it made our whole experience at Coin Laundry excellent.

Delicious egg benedicts and suprising marshmallows with hot choc will keep me coming for more. Try the Spanish omelettes if you prefer omelettes.
This is a great little brunch spot! Close to the station and always full of people. I had the Flip Shelton's 5 seed porridge with honey, berries, chocolate halva and Iranian fairy floss. It was something I've never seen on a menu before and it tasted amazing! Delicious brunch at reasonable prices in a kooky corner cafe.

The first thing I admired about coin laundry is the off white color of the venue and large windows which allow lots of natural light to brighten up the space...And then the tiny pretend clothes hanging as decoration on a wall are very sweet and match the theme well. The smiles of the lovely staff and efficient service is up to standards.
The coffee- Allpress espresso beans are used and to really sense the flavor, I decided on a long black. The flavor was full with a slight citrusy finish which gave it a good strength for my palate.
We sampled the eggs Benedict and Spanish brekky. It feels that the design of the dishes is traditional, fresh and clean, the elements in a dish are left untouched, what you see is what you get. Simple flavors and good quality ingredients. The style of coin laundry focuses on healthy options, plenty of vegetarian dishes to choose from as well as superfoods. I do love the colors of the dishes and simple presentation.
Will definitely drop in again to try more items on the menu : )
A friendly neighbourhood cafe with smiley staff and great coffee. Food is always fresh with great portions. Our favourite dish are the sweet corn fritters. Prices could be a little more affordable but all in all a great cafe!
I've been here a couple of time. Has not disappointed. We sat outside last Sunday in the sun and has a great time. A great spot away from the busy streets.
Really cool place although a little hidden, amazing food, the porridge with halva on top is amazing, so simple but amazing!! It's not too expensive and you can always find a seat

I’ve been wanting to try out this ex-coin laundry-turned-café, which is aptly named Coin Laundry, all my life (or perhaps less dramatically since I first sniffed the emanating coffee odour while catching the train a few month's back and since reading a book load of good things about their brunch menu). It was totally worth the wait! I've fallen head over peep toes in love with the corner coffeehouse that is Coin Laundry Cafe, which can be found conveniently across the road from Armadale Station.
Nice one in town. Love the feeling. Cool food cool staff. However, may quite good brunch in a surbub but not enough in Melbourne. Low in the list may need fresh ideas.
Love the french omelet here, haven't tried a better Omelet elsewhere in Mel. Although the place is quite small and crowded all the time, going there just for this Omelet is well worth it.
This place is tucked away in the quiet streets of Armadale, and conveniently for you and your furry friend, walking distance from an off lead dog park (Armadale Reserve). Yay!! The food here is as you would expect pretty good, in fact, it’s fantastic. But I have to say what really did it for me was the lovely service and staff who went out of their way to make my hairy little daughter feel welcome!
Loved the beef wagyu burger! However, I particularly enjoyed the energetic service provided by a young bearded lad with a baseball cap. I could clearly see that he wanted the experience to be highly enjoyable for me.
Would highly recommend.

The outdoor seating is prefect for sunny days. Excellent service with a smile even though it was packed. Loved our choice of Spanish omelette and the signature breakfast.
Cute cafe on the corner. Highly recommend! You cant miss it! Diverse range of food from simple to complex flavors! I had the special and regretted that I was unable to go back and order the same thing again. Coffee was pretty good especially when it came at a reasonable time during peak hour. Service was great everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit and one of my favorites.
The food here is well worth the half an hour wait on weekends. Great location, ideal for a walk before or after your meal. Definitely try any one of their specials on the board as these are always quite good.
Café classics done well. Coin Laundry is a winning combination of good food and strong local demand. I managed to get in on the weekend with friends, for once with no queue and amazingly no collection of prams lined up outside - probably because families deferred the cafe visit till Father's Day. They have a typical Melbourne menu with the obligatory feta / avocado / corn fritters or fruit toast / banana bread breakfasts amongst other all day options. My CL breakfast was a great example of the usual suspects done well even if the skewered bacon was a novelty. One friend's eggs hollandaise was perfectly executed. Another friend's chicken and asparagus risotto from the lunch menu was too creamy in his view but nonetheless acceptable. Service was on the patchy side but it suited us with lots of catching up to do. But l was bemused to find that there is only bathroom in the adjacent house building for the teeming numbers of patrons which led to a line up snaking around the corner.
Popped in for a quick bite and coffee whilst between errands. Great coffee, slightly friendly service. I love the decor and general atmosphere. I had the porridge which sounded so intricate and promising.. I thought it was ok. Will be back to try other dishes though.

Went here for breakfast with 3 friends, the atmosphere was vibrant and uplifting for such a cold day. The coffee was delicious I forgot to ask which coffee they served, but I ordered a soy latte and it was so creamy (no stale frothy head 👍) the staff were really friendly and never in the way, i ordered the omelette with brioche, which was a great size portion and so tasty. The brioche really complemented the feta and tomato. The coin laundry breakfast was almost like a mini smorgasbord to feast upon with lots of yummy flavours too. Thanks for a great experience guys, definitely coming back 👌
Very generous sized portions which provide vale for money. Quick service as well. I would suggest maybe adding more options to the lunch menu other than just salads, but it's still a place I'll be returning.
A local favourite that has stood the test of time. Food is delicious with breakfast and lunch classics (the Reuben and the chilli-scramble are both favourites). Coffee is always good. And they are very friendly people.
Beautiful neighbourhood cafe with just pure good food and friendly staff. Went here on the weekend and the queue is manageable and the food we order is humble and delicious.

Chilli scrambled egg: This is the bomb! Filled with all of the goodies from mushroom to asparagus. A balanced dish on top of the Turkish bread.
Ps: order their hash brown and mushroom as the sides, they are super good.

Yum yum yum. Food was so good I don’t know if I’m like easy to please or something but since lockdown cafes and restaurants have really stepped it up! Or maybe I’m just going to better places.. who knows!!
The food was delicious, coffee amazing and atmosphere really really good, not too loud where you are shouting across the table but not too quite where you can hear conversations around you!
The staff were all really nice and quick with orders etc. So glad I finally went to lunch here!
Also there is a fun little ‘bedsheet’ motif on the roof harking back to when this place was indeed a coin laundry. It’s the little things that we love.

The food here is superb! Coffee is good too. I have systematically worked through most of their brunch items and have not been disappointed. My favourites are the bush lamb, French toast, eggs Benny, Green goodness, Baked eggs... most items except perhaps the mushrooms which is still fine. Once you know the times to go (when it’s not super crowded) it’s even better. Staff are also friendly which just tops it off. Grateful to have such a lovely place around for so many years!
Cosy suburban cafe tucked away from the main roads, repurposed Coin Laundry (hence the name!) however have retained the charm. Great coffee and great vegetarian selection! Staff were also super friendly, will be coming back!

Lovely local cafe, great menu options and a poached egg that’s actually poached. What more can you ask for. Pretty busy on weekends but the team do well managing the pace. Will be back.
