Still the best local Italian restaurant in the area. Fantastic service. One small improvement could be that they need to cook their pasta less especially the tortellini which was well overcooked.
Introduced my In-Laws to our local (no fuss) Italian local last night and they were impressed. I have been dining out and observing food & service for a long time. The service by the four young ladies was EXCEPTIONAL. They made you feel special and were very very attentive. A big tick to the person who trained them on customer service. By the way, food was great, as usual especially the carbonara & pizza.
This place surprised me, every meal we ate was delicious! Don’t let the outdated decor fool you! Got the calamari, veal schnitzel and tortellini with chocolate mousse to finish. Will be back!
Tried the steak and garlic prawns. Garlic prawns were so tasty but the steak was a little over cooked (we ordered medium). The bacon and red cabbage salad was quite special. Staff were also super friendly. Will come again
Have been coming here for a while and the food is always amazing! Have also had take-away and probably everything on the menu. Their salads are always fresh, steak comes out perfect, calamari tender and those polenta chips! OMG! Good coffee, desserts and great service, nothing is ever too much trouble!
Used our voucher from the entertainment book, wasn’t disappointed, the meals were nice, staff were very pleasant and service was great. We live close but always good to support local restaurants.
We came here for dinner on a Groupon and I must say that the food was outstanding. I had a fully flavoured chicken Mushroom risotto why my wife had a seafood risotto and my daughter had a seafood penne. All the food was just perfect. The lady serving us by the name Jemma was an absolute gem Amanda should be promoted. Her great service was also outstanding. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone. Just great! We will be back without the Groupons.
We didn't make a booking but they were able to make a table up for the 5 of us. The waitress we had was such a sweetie. She was so nice and friendly but unfortunately I didn't get her name. But we think she was new. I got the chicken pizza without pineapple (im one of those people who can't stand pineapple) and it was delicious. It had the right amount of chicken, cheese and BBQ sauce, it was heavenly!
Very impressed by the food. All meals were really good, great prices and friendly attentive staff. Added bonus of splitting the bill too. We will definitely go back.

I love La Zanyas. We've been going there for years now and whilst it has a bit of an old-school feel, I've never left hungry or disappointed. The staff are always gorgeous, welcoming and hospitable and the food is yum. Nothing uber fancy, just tastiness. Will certainly keep coming back.
Yummmmy little local!! I had not been back to this place in years after 1 bad experience BUT went last week because everywhere else in Eltham had closed... They say everything happens for a reason & I agree!! Everything was so tasty, lovely flavours, cooked perfectly and actual chicken breast for the Parma. Staff are really lovely and down to earth. Food came out so quickly even though it was semi busy. Glad I went back!
Had dinner at La Zanyas tonight with my husband, toddler and baby. They were very accommodating of our extra needs (a pram and high chair).
All our meals were very nice and enjoyable. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Can't wait for our next experience at our new local.

Arrived sans reservation with 6 family members looking for lunch yesterday, Father's Day. Couldn't have been happier with the service and food we received. All mains choices were great, everyone was very happy with what they had chosen. Friendly, pleasant waiting staff. No problem recommending La Zanyas to anyone looking for somewhere to dine in Eltham.
We have been coming to La Zanyas for a few years now. It never fails to impress with great food and friendly service. Love having a restaurant his good so close to home.

Amazing!. La Zanya’s, the Italian restaurant located on Main Rd Eltham, is an outstanding restaurant that I visit often. It has a pleasant atmosphere in a spacious, well-decorated building, a great range of delicious food and drinks, fantastic service, and is great value.
La Zanya’s is located on Main Rd in the heart of Eltham. It has lots of parking behind the restaurant within a short walk. It also has a small terrace outside the front of the restaurant.
The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere. It is back off the Main Rd that the cars driving past won’t disturb you, even if their large windows that blow air through the building when it is hot are open. It has an open kitchen so you can see what’s going on and carpet flooring so it stays quiet. It has many, well-set tables that are spread apart nicely.
La Zanya’s has a great range of delicious Italian food. It has lots of entrees and side dishes, a huge variety of traditional and gourmet pizzas, a massive choice of pastas, salads, seafood, meat and poultry meals, a kids menu, lots of desserts, and a large range of different beers, wines, soft drinks, and milkshake flavours. They also have set-menus. There is even an ice-cream stand with large choice of gelato flavours. All the food the chefs at La Zanya’s make is delicious.
The service at La Zanya’s is great. The staffs are friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. They take your order very quickly. They might take a while to bring out your food but it is definitely worth the wait!
La Zanya’s’ food is good value. It is a cheap price to pay for the fantastic goods and services they give you. The food, drinks and desserts are very cheap for the price you have to pay.
Overall, I think La Zanya’s is a great choice for a restaurant if you want quality Italian food or takeaway pizza for an affordable price. It is great for families or people who want to have a night off cooking but want to have delicious food. They are in a good location, they have a great building with a great atmosphere, they have great food, outstanding service, and great value. I would highly recommend going to La Zanya’s Eltham next time you go out for dinner.

Small restaurant off the main street and we only selected it as we were unfamiliar with the places in the area and it didn't look too busy.
We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, we had a Rib Eye steak, a garlic pizza, calamari and a mushroom pasta dish and everything was excellent! I am quite picky about how my steaks are cooked and rarely order one out as I generally prefer to just cook it myself. Medium-rare, cooked perfectly and incredibly tender and tasty. Fantastic.
The girls who were serving were great, very accommodating and we had a truly enjoyable evening.

Really good. I never hesitate to dine at La Zanyas restaurant-whether with family, close friends or colleagues. The food is of a high standard; not once in the past few years since first dining here have I been disappointed. The food is authentically Italian and very enjoyable, whoever makes the pizzas is truly a food genius! The waitresses are lovely and smiley; they consistently give good service that is prompt and timely without making you feel as though you're being rushed in-and-out. I will keep coming to La Zanyas and suggesting others to do so; I was recommended by friends and it's now our weekly favourite.
Wow! Visted La Zanyas on 15.5.2014 - winderful value for money dining experience. Started with a garlic and cheese pizza which was excellent. my partner had the curry and coconut pasta and I had the garlic prawns, both dishes were perfect! Restaurant is a must try!
Real good. Been coming to La Zanyas since it opened 20 plus years ago, boy has it changed in the 5 years , painted throughout , new paintings hanging on the walls , new toilets , chairs what a difference . the food is of a very good quality and plenty of it. The garlic cheese pizza is a must try. The waiting staff a friendly and must helpful , the owners Joe and Lina make you feel most welcome. will be back soon

I stumbled across La Zanya's about a year ago by "accident". Since then I have come here almost once a week to get pizza (I live 13kms away) but happy to make the drive for a great pizza! The base is possibly the best pizza base I have had, period! Other dishes that are a must to try are the garlic prawns & the curry coconut pasta. I highly recommend La Zanya's, if you haven't been before definitely a must. I consider this my "local" pizza shop now.
Best Gluten Free Pizza and Pasta. We dined in for a change and even on a packed Friday night service was prompt and the meals piping hot and quick to the table. I had gluten free pizza - asked for my own selection of favourite toppings and they happily obliged - my wife had gluten free pasta and even the entree size was huge and full of seafood. Both were superb and happy to take the balance home. We took our own bottle of white however I had a glass of house shiraz which was exceptional both in quality and value. Can't fault this place for an impromptu 'bite on the way home' and the best gluten free meals by far. Now a weekly favourite.
Solid. We had an early saturday night dinner here with our two young boys. The wait staff were friendly and the service was fantastic. The food was a little suburban - mix of fresh and frozen seafood in the pasta and hubby's veal was a little overcooked but the flavours were good and we definitely didn't go hungry. Happy to have this place close to home for a quick dinner.
Take away pizza pretty good. I have only every had take away pizza from La Zanyas and it's pretty good. It certainly does not have the thin cripsy base and light toppings of authentic Italian pizza but for a very reasonable price, I think it's pretty good. The staff are always very nice and the food is always ready and waiting when we arrive to pick it up.
Really yummy food, good value and great service. You have to try the coconut curry pasta! Easy parking out the back and friendly nice staff

We got takeaway pizzas from there for the first time and I will be back, easily the best pizzas in the area.
Good Italian local. We enjoyed a quiet lunch here on a Friday and were surprised to find only a couple of tables besides ours were full. We had the garlic prawns, pizza and a side of wedges and thoroughly enjoyed it. The coffee is good and though the wine list is limited we chose a nice rose to go with our meals. I've been here for dinner, too, and it is much busier in the evenings.
Good Honest Food. Good honest Italian style food, the service was good but it can be a little noisy at times. Meal sizes were quite large and very tasty. Good value for money restaurant.
