We went to Henry Fox yesterday during brunch to use an EatClub voucher. Our food was excellent and the coffee was exceptional. Shout out to the guy who made our coffees!
Booked a table on a Tuesday night and it was BUSY! Its kinda good to see a place being super busy, means you are in for a treat.
Had the calamari, soba noodle, squid ink seafood pasta, chips as always, Creme brulee and pudding for dessert. ALL the food was sooooo yummy! Seriously yummy! Also had the vodka cocktail which was delicious!
Service was efficient and friendly!
Great place to get away from the city noise. Comfortable, warm and large cafe. Coffee is very good as is the service. Pricing is on par with other city cafes. Recommended for place to catch up during the day or have a meeting!

A friend and I booked dinner at Henry and the Fox before we went to see a show in town.
The Fork had 50% off food, which is a fantastic deal.
As soon as we walked in, I was already impressed - the atmosphere was beautiful and the place was full of suited corporate workers at the end of a busy Thursday.
We got seated at our Reserved table straight away and shortly water and menus followed.
Our waitress was fantastic. She asked us what the plan for the evening is and, when we told her we’re going to the theatre, she checked what time and where we had to be there and said she’ll ensure we get looked after as a priority, so we’re not late. This was entirely her own initiative, which was above and beyond our expectations.
The menu looked very attractive and she was happy to offer some recommendations.
As we arrived during Happy Hour, I wanted to try our the Espresso Martini. I asked her what it’s like and she advised that some people find it a bit sweet and, if I don’t like sweet, I may not be happy. Before I managed to say anything, she had already gone to the bar, poured be a sip to taste, and brought it back to me. Once again - above and beyond! I said, “What about some Gin & Tonic?” Minutes later, I had a massive glass of Strawberry Beefeater and Dry Tonic - it was delicious. My friend got a great Virgin Mojito.
I was tempted by the Squid Ink Linguine, which is served with Pipis, Calamari, and Baby Octopus and has just the right amount of Chilli in it.
My friend got a Minute Steak, cooked to perfection, and accompanied by Chips and a Salad.
I wish we had more time, so we could’ve tasted some more of the food, but we’ll definitely be back.

Visited for dinner on Saturday evening with the family. The venue was not busy, which surprises.
The food was excellent.
We ordered the mushroom risotto that had just the right dash of truffle oil - superb.
The Salt and Vinegar calamari was a delight. So tender and crispy - the perfect share plate for us all.
The pepperoni pizza had the right hint of hot and cheesy that put a smile on the dial of the kids.
Add in the ravioli and the chicken burger - check, check and check! All the kids were well sorted!
Finally, the eye fillet perfectly done medium rare, nice char with a pink centre. The bearnaise sauce accompaniment was spot on.
We left happy, full and keen to make our way back here again very soon!

Ordered 🍕 : lamb pizza, mushroom risotto, broccolini and sweet potato fries
LIT!🔥: we really enjoyed our mains. The lamb risotto was packed with flavour and generous in portion. The lamb pizza had a crispy thin crust which I love. A little bit oily but was nonetheless delicious.
NOT SO LIT: the chargrilled broccolini’s portion size felt under delivered. 5 pieces for $9. The panacota felt like it pre made as well.

The staff is very friendly. Sunday morning I only find this cafe open in this are so get it try. Nice experience, we can choose seat inside or outside and the coffee taste not bad. Will be back to try the food.

Actually quite yum but the food took forever to come out - only because it was easy to compare wait times on our table of 12.
You get the crunch from the grilled bread, the fresh slightly acidic burst from the tomatoes, squeaky creamy grilled cheese and to top it off - a nutty aroma from the puree.A delicious, simple harmony.
They're also big-group friendly. Contact them through their website to obtain a pre-order form & confirm a booking so your group can come and eat hassle free.
The gnocchi was yummy, the ambience was great too. We went there as a big group and we were not told about the fixed menu for big groups, nor were we told to pick items for the fixed menu, it was done for us. However, the manager/staff were helpful and let us all order from the main dinner menu. Service was slow for this reason, but the food was great overall.
Cool and eclectic decor, large outdoor seating area and the coffee was rich and had good depth of flavour. I’m looking forward to returning and sampling the food!

Attractive looking establishment, easily 100 + patrons indoor and outdoor, floating big central bench/bar, it feels like a "veranda" dining area, however it was very quiet, less than 20 patrons were in the house.
Food wise ... they were slow coming out from the kitchen, some are well made and constructed, some aren't, it doesn't feel and taste like a lot of love has gone into it.
Looking at the set up, I would suggest that this restaurant was zesty at some stage, however it looks like they have fizzled out, what a pity, or hopefully just one of those New Year hangover. JT-03/01/2018
The food is good here. Coffee is even better. Love the vibes of the outdoor and window seating. Staff are usually quite busy, but they could still be much more attentive, I feel.
Great place to with friends or for a work lunch. The pizza is fresh and delicious, especially the prosciutto pizza. The base of my pizza was a little bit too well done for me but other than the that, a great balance of flavours. There breakfast menu looks great too! I would definitely recommend.
Henry and the Fox was packed (mostly filled with those having after work drinks) so the atmosphere was booming! I came by for dinner so if you’re considering a meal I’d recommend a booking. Highly recommend their scotch fillet as it was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately the pasta was a big dissapointment

Have been here a few times mostly for drinks after work . It has a great ambiance, indoor/outdoor dining. Food is good just a little pricey.
This place is just next door to my office building and yet I went there for the first time only recently. It's large and it has outdoor seating which is a bonus. I ordered the lasagna which was not your traditional lasagna dish. It wasn't made with a bolognese or tomato based sauce but had big chunks of pork and veal in it. It had a nice flavour but it was a little dry, perhaps because it was re-heated? It was a big serve though which always makes me happy, with a nice light salad on top. The salads were nice as well and big portions with a few to choose from: we ordered the sausage salad and the lamb salad and both were nice. The fish special was barramundi and chips which my colleague polished off completely, so that's a good sign. It's a good place to stop in for lunch if you're in the area.

Beautiul and cozy place with great food!
We were attracted to this place through a 50% off all food promotion so our review maybe slightly skewed, hah!
We got ourselves a table for two on a Thursday evening, which appeared to be a fairly populat time of the week for the restaurant.
We started the night with a special of the day, being the charcuterie board with some duckling foie gras and bread. The board was excellent as the meat was thin, smooth, and balanced without being too salty. The bread went well with the smooth foie gras while the pickles acted as a palate refresher. All the elements were fairly good.
Hannah then got the scotch fillet while Luke ordered the rib-eye. Both steaks were cooked to our liking (medium-rare). The meat was tender enough and juicy inside. The sauce was lovely and not being too heavy. Our chips on the side were good though we'd prefer thicker cut.
Service were excellent thanks to our friendly and polite waitor while food was served even faster than our dining pace. Solid 3.5 points.
This place is really spacious inside and has a great outdoor space too. It also looks like it's able to cater for functions etc. When with went, there was a large group spread out over a few tables. We'd called and booked as we had a baby and pram with our group and we were well looked after and they were quite happy to accomodate us. One for the win! The group seemed to slow our food down a little bit, but it was hot, tasty and came out all together when it did arrive. The staff are really attentive and food yum! We recommend this place to friends and have been back several times - it's great!
Henry and the Fox was venue of choice for yet another diet meal. Steak has became my saviour (I treat myself to some bernaise). With a modern interior and relaxed ambiance it was a great Friday night option before we headed to the movies. The service was good and the prices reasonable. We walked in without a reservation and were easily accommodated
Came with a friend based on recommendations. I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't impressed. Poached eggs were prepared to perfection, I tried the gin cured salmon but I found it a bit strong for my palate. I did enjoy my chai and the excellent customer service. This is spacious and its a wonderful place to catch up with friends. I would come back 😊 pricing wasn't cheap but certainly not outrageous.

In short. Really excellent dinner here. Friendly service, good variety of food, well cooked, quick to come out, interesting flavours. I'm so impressed (and had such low expectations from lunch service) that this place is highly recommended for a nice Italian dinner (with a modern twist).

Got the cheeseburger. Nicely cooked patty and good bun. Bacon a bit underdone and the whole thing was good I suppose... BUT the fries were terrible. Bone dry and obviously overcooked. Felt like eating cardboard. Literally the worst french fries I've had the displeasure of eating.
Friends had issues with the saltiness of the mussels and the lack of anything 'wow' about the $20 cream cheese and salmon bagel. A because we had a large booking, we were forced to preorder our food three hours before lunch with only 20 minutes notice... a bit harsh.
Large fancy cafe with a wooden retro vibe, but advance bookings are recommended due to its busy nature. Really friendly staff and food comes out quickly. Portions are just right, and has been consistently lived up to standards. Prices are a bit on the dear side, but a happy find.
Tried it for the first time, this place has such a great environment. Good service. A fun and lively vibe. I should go here more often. Good coffee ☕️
Good fast efficient service which is good when you're having lunch during the work day. Ordered the gnocchi with shredded lamb which was quite good however the portion size was fairly small for $27 at lunch. Would be happy to return if walking past.

A bit limited with herbivores aka vegan friendly options, so didn't bother asking if they had any available for modification. Apart from that it was great experience for our small business group earlier tonight.
According to our waitress, the gnocchi was “really good here”, and damn was that some awesome advice. The home-made potato gnocchi was fluffy and light. Without being overly chewy, the gnocchi exhibited a beautifully rich and aromatic potato flavour. The dish was well complemented by the juicy and exceptionally flavourful pulled lamb, though it was overly salty at some parts, perhaps due to the salsa verde. Generously loaded with a yoghurt-like cream, the gnocchi was exceedingly rich and each bite was bursting with flavour. With bits of crunchy radish cutting through the creaminess, the well balanced dish was rather fantastic .
I usually come here for some drinks after work but decided to have breakfast here one day. The food was surprisingly enjoyable. But the wait... Oh my, it wasn't overly busy that morning and I waited for so long for my food. The coffee though, was so spot on. Place is nice and comfortable with a good sized outdoor seating.
We hosted a private dinner here and it was amazing. Venue was stunning, beer and wine paired perfectly with the food and all guests enjoyed the night

Very nice service, and the waitresses were very friendly and helpful. Tried their wagyu burger ー the portion size is perfect for lunch, the presentation is great as well with reasonable price.
Try the baked eggs - amazing. Great coffee and very friendly and helpful wait people. Plenty of space and ideal for clearing early emails or have a chat over coffee.
The food here was excellent. A busy atmosphere and can be a little noisy during lunch. But well worth the time to go. The steaks were done perfectly.

Located in Melbourne CBD on little Collins street this place is a perfect place for a Sunday brunch(quite place with kids).. The decor is modern and bright with option of sitting outside or inside.. The service is warm and friendly and the menu is limited but tasty.. My favourite was the pumpkin and goat cheese pizza and open omelet with prawns and roe..

Henry and the Fox is a delightful restaurant which doubles up as an enjoyable after work bar. It has a pleasant, warm interior, ideal for dining in larger groups, and one of the few outdoor gardens which is the perfect location to spend a warm evening whilst enjoying a drink.
There is a nice selection of food, ranging from tasty and filling salads, to pizza and some of the best steaks you can buy in the CBD outside Squires Loft and Rockpool. Unfortunately the pizzas are not too the same standard, often proving to be thin with and the toppings leaving you wanting more.
The staff are polite and helpful. Frustratingly, the friendly service can lapse, particularly on a busy evening when if can sometimes feel like service has ground to a halt. However, this shortfall can be forgiven when you look at the ever updating drinks list which offers a selection of delicious Australian wines and beers from manny local and foreign microbreweries.
Even with its shortfalls, Henry and the Fox is a destination that should be considered next time you are looking for a more casual evening out.
This is a regularly visited establishment for coworkers and lunch. The Angus beef sandwich on Turkish bread is yummy and no crumbs were anywhere to be found. The asparagus and avocado salad is a great option for anybody watching their gluten intake. And the pasta shown was a decent representation of traditional tagliatelle with bolognese. I'm sure we will visit again as we have already been a few times.
Honestly, I was slightly disappointed. Not to say that the food wasn't good but I was a little disappointed. The location of this place was really weird but it was made up for really cosy interior and exterior designs. The customer service was odd, my friend and I ordered the same thing as another table (and they came later than us) so the orders were mixed up. But in the end we did receive our order. I ordered baked eggs and the eggs were slightly over cooked. Sauce was okay and very clean but I was hoping for a nice slightly spicy, thick tomato sauce. I would have enjoyed a bit more meat but I didn't end up finishing my dish anyway. Very filling, in my opinion! I would definitely recommend this to a friend regardless, because it does have a good vibe and the food is not bad.
Awesome food seriously! Came here with a big crew to celebrate a birthday and ordered the set menu. The staff were very attentive, accomodating and friendly. The mixed charcuterie platter and dips were delish, for the mains we had lamb shoulders to share and salmon fillets, both of which were surprisingly flavoursome. The lamb was fall off the bone and melt in your mouth niceness.
This place has happy hour too which just seals the deal.
The ambience is nice and I was sitting outside to enjoy the gentle breeze. The waitress is so nice that help me ask the chef to do the flavour for me cos I did not book the 5 course tasting menu... I just walk in randomly... and there has not many customers tonight so the chef gave me amazing food.

I'm trying to get into the primal diet and when eating out it's really really hard! Scouring menus for SOMETHING I can eat, and the smell of chips is basically torture!!
Nonetheless managed to resist the pizzas, burgers and chips and was able to find some bits and pieces on the menu from which I could make up a meal, settled on the veal meatballs (starter) and garlic broccolini (sides).
Meatballs were fantastic, so unbelievably tender, and the broccolini was still crisp not too oily and a little bit of chilli but not too much. Great to find somewhere with a flexible menu that you can 'DIY' a bit to suit particular eating
I’d been to Henry and the Fox a few times, and they consistently delivered delicious meals that were great for both brunch/lunch and dinner. Service was also always friendly and prompt, and the venue was great for after-work drinks and any large gatherings.

Was over for a catch up with colleagues. Spacious cafe with lots of indoor/outdoor seating. Had a sizeable portion filled with patrons even though it was Monday afternoon around 3:30.
Hot chocolate and the chai lattes came in tall water glasses, impressive size. My flat white was good. I really wanted to try their brownie cookie but it was sold out.
Went for a lunch with some work colleagues, Barry and the crew were fantastic. We were warmly welcomed and nothing seemed to be too much effort for them. Not many beers on tap but a great wine selection and fantastic food. Already looking forward to my next visit!
Had the best experience ever at Henry and the Fox. We only had a limited time and everyone went out of their way to make sure we got our food in the time frame. Not only that, the food was AMAZING! The gluten free steak sandwich and the 'normal' steak sandwich, my husband got, were the best sandwiches we've ever had and the chips were perfect as well 110/10
Came to Melbourne for the day and stopped off here before an appointment. I had the baked Brie and a red wine. Food was lovely, the Brie had a delicious hint of Rosemary and the pita had tasty herbs and spices. Lovely service also.
