Amazing breakfast, my partner and I had the special which French toast with crispy bacon, poached eggs and homemade hollandaise sauce. Exceeded my expectations and the French toast was to die for. Highly reccomend coming here and to top it off the cappuccino I got was amazing. Loved it 15/10 and the staff and service was awesome thank you
Went to the museum stopped in here for breakfast
Everything was beautifully cooked
The staff very attentive
Great coffee. Highly recommend for breakfast
Best breakfast place in Melbourne. Poached eggs are always perfect.
Wonderful breakfast any day of the week, great coffee and friendly staff!
Excellent & consistent coffee, great selection of coffee beans, staff are always friendly & helpful, coming here since 2010
Great coffee, nice eggs bene and excellent service 👍
Great coffee, great food, great staff .. simple as that! I eat here regularly, the food is so tasty and not over processed letting the quality ingredients come to the fore. The staff are genuinely friendly without having 'attitude' or being phoney.
Friendly staff, great coffee and breakfast. Affordably priced!
Guys here are great, food is good and so is the coffee. The services is outstanding and these guys truly care about your experience here.
My friend Sarah works there & the coffee is great !
Delicious food and coffee ....

Perfect place for breakfast, first time being here with my friends and I like the food here definitely will be back again. I love the breakfast Bec you can choose what you want to eat.
My favourite for smashed avo and coffee. I’ve love the porridge here too which is always steaming hot when it comes out. very friendly service, highly recommend!
Not often I will give 5 stars as there is always something not to my liking, but 65 degrees certainly earned it this morning for breakfast. Seated immediately, menus and water brought over quickly. Order and pay at the counter, which I get in this day and age. Starting with the coffee, my long black was amazing, probably the best I have tasted.......yes, I know what I just said. I ordered the Mexican eggs, poached instead of fried. Came out quickly, hot fresh and basically presented. All was very nice. Clean, quiet, pleasant staff, cracked pepper on the table, great service, all for just under $40 for 2. Very, very good.
Ever reliable with great coffee and friendly service .. a vibe like a well worn T-shirt .. see my full review at https://www.coffeefourdad.com/coffeefourdad/65-degrees
Fantastic coffee. Smooth and pleasant flavoured latte which had the ideal strength. The milk was perfectly frothed. Service was quick and efficient.

Been a regular here for 2 years now, never disappoints. The owners are all absolute legends, coffee starts getting made as soon as I walk in the door. Fantastic food, impeccable service.
Came in on a very hot summer day, but didn't get to cool down for a bit because air con wasn't on and flies keep buzzing around... Bahaha classic Melbourne summer day!
Despite that, unlike hipster eateries serving great-looking but doubtful tasted food, dishes here were honest and tasty. A classic big breakfast just never goes wrong.
This is my go to cafe when on the top end of exhibition street. They have a great cook to order menu and also have lots of pre-made options available for a quick lunch.
Was greeted as soon as I entered, served at my table very quickly. Coffee order came through quick, ordered the Mexican eggs which were delicious. Very happy with the service and the food!
Mouth-wateringly amazing 👌🏼
We had the Mexican Eggs (with chorizo homemade baked beans, sour cream, avocado and tobasco) and the French toast (with caramelised banana, mixed berry compote and ricotta)
My favourite coffee on that side of town. Fast service and a quiet place to take a meeting. It sadly seems less popular than the neighbouring cafes, but the upside is that there is rarely a queue. Friendly staff.
Delicious coffee and breakfast! Service was excellent, this place also has free Wi-Fi. A positively delightful way to start our Saturday morning.
This is a great little place to pop in for a really good coffee. It is near to my work and one my favourite of the the three nearby places. My choice of coffee, an ACF. Ask why it is called an ACF. It is funny, but better than calling it a Magic :)
The staff are so friendly, no surcharge for card, and it is not too crowded or noisy. I like to sit out the side on the long bench.
I enjoy the food too - often taking a porridge to go - yes, a place that actually does porridge! I love the baguettes for lunch . . . i keep meaning to get in for breakfast, one day . . . .
If you are in that end of the city drop in for an ACF (or Chai with Honey - thumbs up for that too).
We are truly spoilt for our choice of cafes in Melbourne. Or is it that people just don't know how to make a bad cup of coffee? Either way this venue is sure to keep you coming back and back and back for another cup. With a wonderful breakfast and lunch menu to boast too you can see why 65 Degrees is a crowd favourite! Also open till lunch on Saturdays!
I didn't notice much about the place when i first went there with Demie.. my second visit made me discover that there is an extremely good latté art barista there (his/her trophies were all over the shelves behind the counter). I must say i'm pretty annoyed with the place though, i went there twice at about 2pm and their kitchen was closed. Sigh.. maybe they just sell out that fast eh?
The tomato salsa and avocado mash were really fresh, a necessity for a good burrito, and overall I was really happy with my brunch.

A standout Melbourne cafe is 65 Degrees. We all know why it's called 65 degrees - no need for explanation in a coffee crazy city... Having said that I’m prepared to launch out to 70 degrees on my espresso machine at home (living dangerously). 65 Degrees is one of my Melbourne favourites. I can't explain it but it feels very Melbourne. This is a great place to meet people, not just grab a take away coffee. You're embraced here. I find it a wonderfully personable café. Embracing and skilful is a great combination.
The ristretto was a bit bitter, but I loved it. I think that the blend was strong and flavoursome. I'm not sure what they used but it did the trick. Now I wonder if there is any public cupping sessions so that I know which blend is which and which blend is mild or strong.
Chanced upon 65 Degrees Cafe while having a stroll in the city. The aroma from the freshly roasted coffee beans pulled us in and we were met with a wall of tempting food selections on the wall.
Not just beautiful, but tasty!. Really love this Cafe!
Friendly service! Their friendly is not fake polite for business reason. Good atmosphere as well.
I had a Big breakfast this morning, that was nice and tasty, and the price is reasonable for that big amount. Some trendy cafés sell the presentation than taste, look good but tasteless. The food in this Cafe 65 Degrees have both!
Really recommend for people looking for solid stuffs, not only pretty things.
Stayed in the CBD for the first time! So many options but I loved how this place does an all day breakky, everything was perfect! Friendly service, nice clean shop. Can't wait to visit Melbourne again.
Worth another try. The trouble with a place with so many great reviews is that expectations can be set too high.
Did the coffee live up to my expectations? .. No. But that doesn't mean to say it wasn't good. It was .... just not brilliant.
As for the food, we only had the fruit toast which was ok .. And the other tables around us seemed to receive some good looking dishes from the kitchen.
Ill be back to give this place another go.
Wow coffee. The decor isn't the cosiest but the coffee is consistent and amazing :)
Best Long Macchiato in Melbourne. I am so blessed to work next door to 65degrees!
Consistently amazing coffee and I love the Twitter interaction.
Outstanding Coffee, great services!. I'm a coffee addict and it is not easy to find somewhere that serves coffee at a top level at any time of the day. 65 degree is the ONLY one that guaranteed with their own roasted coffee beans!
A variety of menu and I just love the big breakfast. their friendly staff catered to your need with food/ coffee requests even thou they are absolutely busy running around in the crowd. I'm sure you can understand that when a coffee shop's that busy, there'd be a little bit of wait at the peak hours...
I'll always bring friends or have my casual work meetings over there! You have to love the passion of coffee from Jim, Con and Pete-- being a family operated cafe, they are truly into it!
Coffee at its best.... Me and my wife visited 65 Degrees this morning. When we walked in we were greeted by one of the owners, he was very helpful and kind and he was the one who prepared our coffees. As soon as we sat down we ordered 2 lattes and 2 Vegie Breakfasts, I usually drink/enjoy black coffee but I always thought you have to have a milk based coffee to be able to judge the whole package. Before I go more I like to say that I'm not your usual traveller blogger that just drinks coffee to write an online review. I have been working with coffee all my life and spent a little fortune on coffee travel/education from crop to cup and until recently I owned a speciality coffee bar in Melbourne City myself. So back to 65 Degrees, your latte was one of the best lattes I had in my life, temperature: check, texture/body: check, strength: check, presentation: check. If I was to rate your coffee out of 100 it would be 100. One we had was Sumatra Coffee. About the food I am not the best person to judge but everything tasted good and prices seemed fair. But I still can't get over that latte.
Brilliant coffee, even better staff. 65 Degrees never fails to deliver. Brilliantly house-roasted coffee from all over the world and a great, eclectic selection of baguettes and breakfast foods. You'll easily find something that you think you have to try. Personable, friendly service is also a highlight - as the staff seem to really enjoy their work.
Coffee King. The boys here are true Barista Champions. Everyone from my work takes their Coffee break here. I have never eaten here but believe you me the coffee is spot on.
Big Breakfast from the Champion Barista. This is one of Davids work hangouts, the owners are very friendly, but are also very busy, I ordered the Big Breakfast, David just had coffee, in fact everyone was just having coffee, In the end I felt like I perhaps should have just had coffee as well. I guess that's why they emphasis about being Champion Barista and not Champion Breakfast makers. Great place for coffee, food is so so.
Miss. Very good!!!! ill be back soon!!
The best coffee I have had in a while. Went to 65 Degrees today and had the house blend latte, what a great coffee. Full of flavour, but smooth with a hint of sweetness. Friendly staff and owner only too willing to share their passion for good quality coffee. Very helpful with the purchase of beans too. Another great local roaster.
Corn Fritters - YUM. I arrived for a 7.30am breakfast, $14.50 for the corn fritters with a choice of 3 sides - bacon, avo, tomato, mushroom plus more. The service was quick & the food arrived within 10-15 minutes. Big portion of 3 corn fritters with a yummy sweet relish. I would visit again when in the area
Coffee from the heavens. You can't beat a good barista and fresh beans roasted on site.
My brunch from heaven :). I was quite disappointed to find this place being renovated a few months back. Now that I have been there, I gotta say corn fritter was well serve (size-and-yummy-wise). The coffee was nutty, strong and lovely too.
We are from Singapore and this is the best coffee we have had for a long time... Highly recommended!
Superb coffee. Best coffee I've ever had, no joke. The latte is smooth, froth is perfect, and the chocolatey undertones are a nice surprise. The ambience is lacking however. Next time I think I'll order it take-away and go across the street to the park to enjoy it.
Great Coffee. Great place to have coffee, expensive coffee, but much better than illy, hands down. Every time I need a pick me up for a long hard work day, this is where the girls and I go for our coffee fix, but the food is typical cafe menu, but the coffee i can guarantee is World champion.
Great coffee, not-so-great service. 65 degrees is presumably the perfect temperature for milk in a coffee. After having read about 65 Degrees in the latest edition of Melbourne Coffee Guide in which they won the award for best shot of espresso, dubbed the "God shot", I made a detour just to see how it was.
Coffee-wise, I wasn't disappointed. My cafe latte was robust, had a great mouthfeel and lingering finish. It was certainly among the best I've had in Melbourne. Not nearly as impressive however were the waitstaff and general atmosphere of the place.
Being first-timers, we weren't sure if we should order upfront at the counter or wait for someone to come take our orders. Despite coming across a member of the staff as we entered, no one bothered to acknowledge us. Service is obviously not high on the agenda, with staff actually outnumbering customers at the time we were there. Overall, it did not feel very warm or welcoming. I'm giving it a "Like" purely based on the coffee alone.
Beautiful coffee each time without fail! Rate it best coffee in Melbourne. Good little place for lunches and afternoon tea. World champion Barista lives up to name.
First taste gives the impression that their latte is stronger than average, but past the crema is a beautifully tasting coffee. Fast and friendly service too. Scored their house blend for free for striking a conversation before I left. A great way to keep customers coming back. I sure am coming back.
Hellooo, coffee. It's my regular coffee hangout and I never bother going anywhere else for takeaway. Why would you, when the coffee is this good? They also serve all kinds of very tempting-looking sandwiches and sweets, but to be honest I've never tried them as I've got a one-track mind when I'm this close to perfection. Roasting is done on-premises (freshness, yes!) and I've always found the service to be prompt. Light years away from the scalded dross that the chains dare to serve up as 'coffee'. Unfortunately, it's only open on weekdays.
Great coffee being served at 65 degrees. Had a smooth and delicious single origin Ethiopian coffee today. Bit different to the standard bean - very light tasting with peachy tones. Coffee is roasted on site so a few different beans available to purchase. In addition to their house blend there will be another bean available for those ordering a coffee. Food is good as well. They do an all day breakfast so you can make the CBD feel like the weekend in the burbs. This place is a must for any serious coffee drinker. Makes you realize the rubbish being served up by other city cafes.
Lovely coffee. Wonderfully rich coffee with lovely intensity. Slow food service.
Great coffee for an early morning. I think I got there before the guys had their own coffees. They seemed a bit all over the place! But the coffee certainly was delicious.
Gabster. These guys just opened last week, but already they are making a name for themselves. with a champion barista , world latte art champion and their own award winning coffee blend - gridlock - they are a cut above anyone else in the area. delicious fresh foods for breakfast, lunch and catering make 65 Degrees THE place to go to in the cbd!
The eggs were gooey and oozy and there was just enough tabasco to add bite without excruciating burn. The toast underneath was very gummy and the crust required effort, but it provided a great platform to catch the yolk. The chorizo was fabulous – gusty and robust with a perfect amount of burn, it paired beautifully with the cool, calm sour cream that was infused with the delicate flavour of dill. My most favourite mouthful of this dish was a portion of chorizo slathered in the cream – wow.
65 Degrees was a very enjoyable place to go have big breakfast. Despite it’s awkward outdoor seating set up it was good value for money and
Service was quick. Food was very delicious and filling.
We wanted to eat inside but the restaurant was uncomfortably warm.
A cosy venue with a great selection of coffee - multiple beans to choose from. Additionally the food selection is wonderful! Some brilliant meals to try - you can't go wrong with brunch choices here. The exception being the ricotta hotcakes, whilst the fruit was a fresh touch, they just lacked substance for the $15 piece tag. Still, a great place to eat in the local area! ❤
This cafe was actually rather further out of the way than I was used to, but it was certainly worth the walk. Okay, it has been a while since I have been here, but then again it does take a while for me to get around to all my reviews. Well, I've written it now, and I do have to mention that this place makes a pretty decent coffee. It was certainly worth the time it took to walk here from where I was working.
Best big breakfast in Melbourne by far! Most delicious eggs I've ever had
Great food and coffee, that's all I was looking for and they supplied it with great service as well
Was a little worried when we went for brunch on a Friday and found the cafe very quiet, but the food was awesome. Fresh ingredients and everything cooked well. Very good value, left feeling satisfied, but not overdone. Service was prompt and the staff were friendly. Highly recommend.
