HIGHLEY RECOMENED Art Deco Hidden Gem of Melbourne, a view of rooms that you would not generally get to see- the stories told, the history, the wow factor behind the doors. Stunning indeed

A stunning Melbourne iconic building that holds a lot of history. It had a makeover some time ago yet still holds the glamour of a bygone era. There are a few shops on the ground floor but above are many small businesses. Take time to explore the floors, marble work, every-so-chic elevators and the lane at the rear. A must visit.

One of my favourite buildings in Melbourne’s City . I just love the Art Deco Gothic inspired building which are offices and retail and I have yet to step inside ! There are tours which I will be going along to which include The Breakfast tour , Lunch & Tour and Cheese & Wine Tour . Check it out for yourself

Amazing building with a sub-basement filled with water used in an early example of air conditioning. Also the first escalator in Melbourne

Lovely meal at the 1932 Cafe followed by a great tour of this beautiful Melbourne icon. Leant a lot & thoroughly enjoyed all we saw. This tour is certainly worth doing, so be a Melbourne tourist in Melbourne.

It it a nice architectural design of an era that we will never see again. Towering above most other buildings in the city and for its time, the Manchester Unity Building is worth stopping and looking at, even going inside downstairs and seeing the foyer. Buildings are just not made like this anymore with the style and elegance plus craftsmanship it has.

My denist works here. In this amazing Gothic Art-Deco building built in 1932 for the International Order of Oddfellows. First escalator and air-conditioning in Melbourne I think. This has been lovingly restored or maintained to keep it's original magisty and grandure. Hard to imagine this opening at the height of the depression, but must have blown some minds when it did! You can even take tours of the building tp check out it's features, like the boardroom, complete with monogrammed chairs.
