Good vibes, Good food, Good music.
Apart from the stairs that we needed to climb in heels, the food and atmosphere at MV was great! The DJ there had good tunes flowing, and the tacos and enchilada were amazing as well. The view out onto Swanston and the city weren't too bad either. Overall, a great place to have a few drinks at.
Iāve been to MV twice in the past two weeks. The first time we had no idea what to expect and it was recommended to us. Staff were super friendly, atmosphere was great, we were able to have proper conversations as it was it a bit quite around 6 ish but quickly got busy but no so loud and crazy.
Food was delicious and we were very grateful for the delicious veggie options. Great drinks menu. Food was served very fast. All dishes were amazing special mention to the portobello mushroom quesadilla! Wow!
I had such a good time and great food that I took another group there tonight and it was once again great service and good food. Thank you! Iāll be back!
Very nice place enjoyed the food and the atmosphere , we had the chef selection of the four course meal was $60 each and thought we got our monies worth , drink were very nice , would go again
Probably the most friendly and hospitable service Iāve ever had in the CBD! Absolutely standout!
We had the āfeed meā menu so got to try a range of dishes and not one was a letdown. The corn salad was delicious, even cold. The ceviche was a standout and generous serve.
The beans that came with the DIY tacos were moreish, I wish that had been a slightly bigger serve because it went so well with the beef and chicken.
Absolutely would recommend, couldnāt fault our dinner here.
Putting aside the fact the music here is so loud that you can barely hear yourself think, the food here was really nice (the guacamole was one of the best I had), and service was efficient and food came out really quickly. Will return to try out some more tacos (beware, we tried the eggplant taco and it was super duper spicey!).
Located on the 6th floor of Curtin House, The place is actually spacious and had a really nice ambience. Staffs were quite nice and water were always being refilled. Food and drinks were served pretty quickly too.
They had a number of variety for the drinks and we had the mushroom taco which was really lovely. Like most bars, food were on the expensive side but drinks prices were reasonable.
Overall a pretty nice chill bar in the city.

Food and service was really good! The bar staff were super helpful and friendly! The food came our really quickly and tasted really good. Definitely a bit spicier than I thought! Their Churros were so fresh and tasted amazing!!!
Hands down Melbourneās best Mexican venue available. With high end Mexican food without the high end prices. With chefs either from Mexico or applying their trade from there, the flavours give you that authentic feel and flavour
This place has Mexican food that is waay more high-end than what I'm used to, but I love it! The staff is happy to accommodate to vegans, and the food is good. Loved their guacamole and nacho chips, it's basic but always a winner for me. The tlayuda was a bit too spicy for me and I would have preferred it to be a bit more salty. Their coctails are absolutely incredible and I'd say it's a place worth visiting even when you're just going out for drinks.

I always sort of overlook venues in Curtin House because it's so hyped, but I ended up at Mesa Verde with friends the other night and was actually impressed with the place. Service was a little slow but the space is really comfortable and well designed and the drink selection is extensive. An overarching Mexican and country Western theme add to the vibe. Can't complain about my wine nor the sip of my friend's beer that I sampled.

Had a great experience at Mesa Verde! Service was friendly when I walked in, and I got a nice comfortable booth. Love the decor and menu design.
Tried the margaritas with smoked salt on the rim, absolutely yum and strong! Just how I like my cocktails hehe.
Food wise, we had some tasty guac and corn chips, mushroom tacos made vegan, and the eggplant quesadilla made vegan (just no cheese). It was all so tasty!! Only thing Iād say is the serving size was a little small for my liking haha!
Thanks Mesa Verde!
Very classy place. Food is delicious, I would highly recommend the tacos and one of the many cocktails/margaritas they have to offer.. I tried the Last Hola and La Casa margaritas and both were divine. Friendly service. Ouu and they have a massive selection of fine tequilas in the bar! Also, I checked out the Rooftop Bar after eating here and the view was unreal.
Looking for the perfect night out? You would want to start at Mesa Verde where the food is amazing and the environment is really unique and cosy. We loved our visit to this trendy restaurant where we were greeted by friendly staff and the service is excellent! We ordered to start some cocktails, plus a round of starters from tuna ceviche, prawn tacos and guacamole dip (you just gotta). For the main we had the main tacos, plus a range of other delicious items which can be seen in my photos! Highly recommend visiting!
One of my favourite Mexican restaurants, Mesa Verde gives the goods with both food and drink. Their tacos are amazing but so are the seafood options. Hot tip: Monday has $10 Tommyās Margaritas all day.
Friendly staff, made our group feel comfortable. Nice mood and atmosphere. Convenient location. More importantly, the food was very good. š
Overall, I had an excellent experience at Mesa Verde - Will definitely return and also recommend to others.
The service we received was very fast, friendly and efficient - not to mention value for money!
I ordered the fish & pork tacos and they were absolutely delicious. I then ordered the lamb ribs, wow! Talk about melting in the mouth and falling off the bone - one bite had you wanting more! Looking around the table, all plates were polished showing that not only mine was fantastic but all round the food was brilliant and everyone was highly satisfied.
Rare to find a place with staff who really love what they do. The bartenders have some great knowledge, the food is unreal, and the service is attentive and quick. I'll be back for more tacos soon!
Went here with a friend after spending an afternoon on the rooftop bar. I got the braised beef cheek taco and the prawn tostada, and my friend and I shared tortilla chips with amazing guacamole! The food was so delicious and flavourful!! Great service as well! Would definitely come back again
loved the creative, fresh takes on classic mexican dishes. enjoyed the excellent booth seating, very relaxing. impeccable service . and the best margaritas in town! highly recommended
Came on a Wednesday night. Like the dimly lit, playful vibe. On that night it was easy enough to have a conversation, while still feeling lively. Service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Had the Chef's Selection, which me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. The grilled corn, queso fundido, chicken tostado, and chicken enchilada were particular highlights. I also loved the crispy pork belly taco, though my partner preferred the fish one, which had wonderfully delicate, crunchy batter. One solitary churro each to finish, but by that point we were so full that it was really all we needed. The margarita and mojito-like cocktail (I forget the name but you can ask them for a mojito substitute) were also great, though serving size is on the small side.
Thanks for a lovely evening! We'd come back. Recommended!
Some really good pork belly tacos and grilled corn for all my Mexican lovers in Melbourne. Lively atmosphere, great cocktails and bartenders have a good chit chat. This awesome tapas and bar sits on top of @cookiemelbourne another great restaurant, with a rooftop bar to finish the night thereās no need to leave this place, who wouldnāt try these finds?!
Great space and tunes with a great list of tequilas and mezcals (yes they do have other spirits beers and wines)
Friendly and knowledgeable bar staff
I'm going to go straight into this review and talk about the charred corn. Seriously for corn lovers this is the the most delectable corn on the cob you'll ever taste. The smoked morta mayo and cotija cheese are enhanced when you squeeze the fresh lime over it, absolutely sensational and so good i had to order another serve. Taco's ok, margarita ok, service not constant with a few mistakes of wrong dishes at the table and also getting orders wrong but who cares when the corn conquers all.
Delicious prawn tacos! Iām not an expert but I have eaten loads of š®š®š®š® and the crispy prawn would be up there. Also highly recommend the ceviche and the zucchini salad. Staff were very friendly. Cocktails were very exciting.
Went there for tea. Ordered the ālet us feed youā which makes life easy you donāt have to decide what to order. Just sit back ( with a cocktail ) and let the good food roll out. Really nice mixture of food super fresh and all different flavours. Staff were great organised a good location for us to sit as we had a baby in a pram with us. They were all super friendly. The only negative was the donuts at the end flavours where good but the donuts were a bit oily. I would definitely go back if in Melbourne again
First time ever in a bar, and this is really nice. Iām the only person here alone, of course, but the staff are very friendly, the wine list is good, and the food is delicious. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a drink after work in a nice, chilled out, friendly environment.
Wow, this place! Super impressed with dinner last Friday! Love Mexican and chose this specifically from Zomato reviews and rating. Glad I did. Its on the 6th floor of Curtain House (same building as Cookie and Toff in Town etc). The next floor is a rooftop bar and cinema so the restaurant had a nice 'mid-rise' city feel. The place was packed!! They've gone with a Mexican/western feel with even an old western film projecting on the wall. Being packed, it was very loud. Maybe too loud for a couples dinner š but nonetheless was great. Decided to order the Banquet. Wow. Amazing. Stand outs were Pork Belly Soft Tacos, croquettes, wagu gaspaccio and tostaditas. Everything was so fresh and flavours matched so well! For the place being packed, the food came out really fast and the waitress was very attentive. 100% going back. Pretty well priced too. Banquet was 45 each and got 6 courses.
The restaurant is well hidden on the sixth floor of an old building which adds to the charm, and the rustic decor feels old fashioned and classy.Ā It's worth noting that there is no air conditioning in this restaurant. On a hot humid night it can get fairly uncomfortable as I've experienced.
The service was friendly except for a hiccup where my colleague's main dish was delivered well after I received mine.Ā The food was decent but not mind blowing. The lamb ribs were very well flavoured but also very fatty. The tacos were decent sized but I found some flavours (e.g. the fish taco) slightlyĀ bland. Prices were surprisingly reasonable considering the location which impressed me. The experience was good but not so amazing that I would come back again, although that's mostly due to the vast amount of choices in the Melbourne CBD.
Iād never heard of this joint before but itās actually really decent Mexican food. The fish taco at Fonda is my absolute favourite, so Mesa Verdeās fell short on that frontier.
As for the other tacos and food (we ordered the fries, carpaccio, tortilla chips, southern fried chicken), it was all done well and tasted good!
The cocktails were flowing and were also delicious.
The only thing that left a lot to be desired was the service. Our waitress was waiting on a lot of tables and left us lingering on the food and drink orders, and the food came out in dribs and drabs so some of us were eating tacos while others were sitting patiently waiting. Worth a try though.
In vintage Curtin House lies this cavernous Mexican tapas eatery and bar with a pumping vibe. We chose a range of tacos, quesadilla and sides with enough room left for dessert. The highlight was the bite size donuts with chocolate sauce and sprinkled nuts. Helpful and attentive service and a lively atmosphere - good for drinks and a few bites.
Great low lit restaurant with good service and the tacos were tasty and well priced. The ceviche was also fresh for entree. Cool decore and the margaritas were delicious.
Quality at its finest One of the best meal I ever had . Good work guys . Keep going on same . Unforgettable experience with my family members. We all enjoyed our meal . Will definitely be coming back
I've had a love affair with Mexican food since my first beef taco I had in a street fair in Sydney many many moons ago. I have the opportunity to have some of the best and worse Mexican in the world. So it's always a pleasure to come across a Mexican eatery that takes your tastebuds on a journey to the heart of Mexico.
Curtin House in Swanson Street Melbourne is home to an assortment of dinning rooms and bars, hosting one of the best rooftop bars in Melbourne. It also has a very rich history and once housed the Australian Communist Party head quarters. So I got a little excited to hear that there was a new addition to the building.
Mesa Verde is situated on Level 6, and depending on what time you go is accessed by a small elevator, when that is out of action you take the stairs, and believe me by the time you make it you're in need of a drink.
The fit out is relaxed and casual and the bar, at first glance, seems to hold a good variety of spirits to get any palate going. Lots of washed out coloured wood and a variety of the usual Mexican artefacts decorating the walls.
The drink list had a great variety of cocktails with an interesting selection of margaritas. I was also pleased to read that they supported local independent brewers that they rotated weekly and was excited to hear what our waited had to offer. I must say I was both disappointed and confused when our waitress read out the beer list from Lion Nathan, who is neither local or independent.
The menu was above good, it was amazing and whilst there was a Taco and Nacho section represented it certainly gives you the impression that a lot of research has gone into the menu development.
The first dish we ordered was the Mexican beef carpaccio with zucchini flowers, salted ricotta, baby basil, black garlic aioli and saltines. Everything about this dish was amazing, the beef melted in your mouth and each component of the dish adding a fresh sensation that left you wanting more.
Next to arrive was the grilled sweet corn with queso and mortima creama. Another winning dish and I found myself wanting to lick the plate clean.
Two courses down and two to go and I was starting to think is this where it all goes pear shape. Asparagus and green beans arrived and thankfully I had no reason to fear with again a dish that was not only cooked to perfection but gently refreshed your palate.
A visit to a Mexican restaurant wouldn't be complete with out a taco or two and when our platter of tacos was placed in the centre of our table I knew this was a great night out.
Mesa Verde is certainly a standout establishment and has been elevated to one of the top restaurants in Melbourne.
So if your looking for a Mexican eatery that serves more than salas and corn chips then make a booking at Mesa Verde.
So
Mmmmmmmm Tequila my friend we meet again! Mesa Verde occupies the old office space of Right Angle Studios (who write the excellent Thousand Guides). Having such a prime location right below Rooftop Cinema/Bar and above Cookie and Toff you can expect a venue to match the high quality of the rest of the building.Ā
I'm a massive tequila fan and woah they have a great range on offer here. I have started trying new mescals instead of tequila lately and Mesa Verde's staff know their stuff and are always up for recommending a different tipple. The cocktails are tasty and decently presented and the beer choices are pretty decent though a little over priced for the beer on offer. Still the venue is nice for small groups and the low lighting gives it a nice ambience for relaxed nights. I'll keep going back!
Great Margaritas with a fantastic selection of Mezcals. I asked for a flight of Mezcals (not on the menu) and the staff was more than happy to create one based on my taste. Give it a go.
Awesome Mexican hang out! Staff are amazing and very attentive to any needs you might have. Cool ambience, Ā delicious food, great cocktails and fun staff. I'm going back soon!

Amazing restaurant for a relaxed dinner after a workday! The food, atmosphere and waiters are top. Recommend the Prawns and Crab Cocktail followed by the Lamb Tacos.
Love this place! Been here about 4 times and it has never disappointed. Food is always fresh, so don't come here if your looking for a 'sloppy overly cheesy' Mexican experience, it is definitely a tastebud tantaliser though and well worth the slog into the CBD.
My only criticisms are that in the past (not the most recent visit however) the food can come out at random times and the lighting is a little dim- although I would not have noticed if my mum hadn't of pointed it out!
The best Mexican in Melbourne, kick ass cocktails and cliche free food. Real talent in the kitchen.
The hidden gem in one of Melbourne best buildings
My partner and I came here for a round of tacos and cocktails.
The tacos were yummy and fresh! The cocktails were very unique and delicious. I loved the chilli margarita which partnered very well with my tacos! Very accommodating staff and fun to talk to.
Love it :)
Mesa Verde has a great relaxed vibe and is a perfect place for groups to meet, particularly given many of the food options work well to share. The restaurant also comes up trumps for their cocktails and imported drinks list. I went to Mesa Verde with a group of friends. Between us we ordered quesadillas, tacos, scallops, the Mexican charcuterie plate and a couple of the sides. It was difficult to gauge how much to order and the waitress we had wasnāt very helpful in offering guidance. Those who ordered three tacos or a quesadilla plus one other option were content with their portions. The scallops, while apparently very tasty, were not enough to be filling as a main and would require at least a quesadilla or other similar sized option.

The fish taco was absolutely the best fish taco I've tasted - and I've had a few. Just delicious. The dirty martini was made to perfection, so very delicious. The chicken taco, on the other hand was not really a taco, it was just wrapped and deep fried and oily. Was quite disappointing. The pumpkin taco was quite oily and salty. The service from 2 out of the 3 staff we had were great, one waiter seemed to service only the table next to us as were ignored for a while as we sat there with our menus waiting to order. But all in all, it was a nice evening, the rest of the food was delicious and the staff were always smiling and we didn't wait very long for our food or drinks to come.
Food are nice flavour! But the thing that let down is timing, I mean the food are slow. So just enjoy your drink or don't come on the busy night.
Totally quite satisfied. Thank you.
Mesa Verde Melbourne provides an interesting take on Mexican food, with a fit out that resembles and old style saloon rather than the expected Mexican ālookā. When you make it up the slow elevator, or the 6 flights of stairs to the 6th floor of Curtin House, youāre greeted by a low lit venue with dark carved wood and furniture contrasting with the wait staffās brightly coloured uniforms.

Great tacos and tapas in a busy restaurant/ bar. Simple, tasty food with a little bit of edge. Lively place to eat on the 6th floor of Curtin House. Friendly, helpful service from great staff.
Came across Mesa Verde on a Friday night. Ā Was there only to have a few drinks with a small group.Ā
The atmosphere was lovely; dimly lit with wooden tables and a comfortable crowd. Semi-casual environment; some people were dressed up while others were in day wear.Ā
Only had drinks; the bartenders were friendly and helpful and they have a fantastic cocktail and tequila menu.Ā Ā
Ray Jay spiced rum is still my favorite, Always go up there to have drinks before a night out and specifically for this cocktail.
Its a great way to start the night.
I am trying to remember the name of the native Mexican strong spirit we had to start (was cactus derived, but not tequila), lovely and smokey - bar staff will help you out here ;).
Went with a mate and we could not decide what to have... So we took the option of letting the chef decide, best decision ever!
From memory there were 5 courses, chicken and beef featured as well as vegetable courses. Only course I did not appreciate was the appetiser - crispy fried rind(?), but that is probably a matter of taste.
Service was friendly and well timed, atmosphere pleasant.
Highly recommend the place. I felt what we had was very reasonably priced @ just under 50 for a head.
The most fab twist of western-world Mexican! The corn chips with cashew crema and guac were outstanding along with the caramelised cream brƻlƩe! This ambient hot spot is a must for tantalising your tastebuds!
Mexican food is one of those trends that luckily doesn't seem to go away in this city. Mesa Verde is located in Curtin House on Swanston St. Yep, the one with the many stairs. And Mesa Verde is on the 6th floor. While I actually had the rare option of having the elevator right there, ready to take me upstairs, I opted for the stairs. To get the real feeling. I thought my half marathon training would've meant I was fit but apparently climbing stairs is a different matter altogether. At least I felt like I had burned enough calories to sit down for an amazing meal.

Mesa Verde, perched on the last floor before hitting the rooftop, was worth every step to get there. Ā And might I add, there is a functioning elevator. Be wiser than I and take it ;) Ā There's some seriously brilliant Mexican food coming out of this kitchen, with 99% of everything being made in-house! āā Check out how the carnivore and herbivore fared by clicking the link below! āā
Love the flavours and the show at night! Used to be very busy place now gone downhill a lot. Get the show back and a bit more of that groovy atmosphere

Mexican tends to be our go to cuisine at home or eating out for times when we know we want something delicious but arenāt sure what weāre looking for.Ā . Up far too many flights of stairs and off Swanston st youāll find Mesa Verde, a Mexican bar and eatery with character.Ā Ā Ā Ā Itās dark, candles light the corners and tables are dressed in shadow. Itās an intimate eatery, with plenty to discover if you explore its corners and walls. Thereās even a Mexican poster for The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, but weāll let you find that for yourselvesā¦Ā Darkness, or more accurately, the absence of light is a bane to any food blogger trying to take a half decent photo, but I have to say that Mesa Verde make up for it with charm and fascinating decor. Ā We started the meal with drinks, tempted by the cocktails I went with the South Side watermelon. A light and refreshing mix of mint, lemon, watermelon and gin.
I recently had my birthday party here and it was sensational. AMAZING food, wine, service and ambiance. My 40 guests and I had such a memorable night. Thank you Mesa! š
The menu changes often but I always find the food amazing, crazy fresh ingredients. Best tacos I've ever had. Cant get over the beans. Try it.
I went here for dinner several nights ago with a close friend on her recommendation. I really enjoyed everything about this place - the atmosphere was great, and flowed really well with the vibe of the menu, decor and service. Pricing is typically what you'd expect in a popular CBD restaurant/bar - not too excessive, and you definitely get what you pay for. Many of the cocktails came with fresh fruit and even the option to choose which type of salt you'd like to line the rim of your glass - fancy little touch! My friend and I shared about 7 dishes over the course of the evening, and never felt rushed by the staff to finish each one so the next could arrive - it was excellently paced. The staff themselves were prompt, friendly and very helpful - more than happy to answer any questions we had about the menu.Ā
Food wise I highly recommend the southern style chicken wings, and the beef ribs. For dessert, the Aztec hot chocolate is the way to go.Ā
I will definitely be returning to Mesa in the near future!
I've been here 3 or 4 times now. Great atmosphere and the tequila tasting and tequila+ beer thing is cool. Ā The food I find dish to dish variances, overall I would say tasty, satisfying & unpretentious. Not totally wow, but certainly good enough to keep coming back every so often, a definite winter place to my mind as it's got a kind of warm, vivacious, yet relaxed feel. Once I had a very loud table but the other times were fine. Ā Staff are generally good although service hasn't always been as prompt as I would desire, but overall ok. Would recommend for something a little different on a cold winters night.
Went there for drinks. Lovely atmosphere in the heart of the city. Great warm feel with all the wood around. Watched the friendly and quick staff deal with an unruly customer in the politest fashion, I feel this is essential for any establishment, anyone can be nice to a good customer, but its the troublesome ones that are the most trying.
Really don't understand the hate in the reviews for this place. The interior is gorgeous and the tequila selection is immense. I often come here with friends and they are always impressed. The food is far from bland some of these reviews seem very suspicious. I had the fish tacos, the chipoltle corn and the spicy ribs. The corn was beautiful and sweet and the chipotle was the perfect compliment of spice. The fish tacos were melt in your mouth yum and the ribs were heated! If you are on the fence on Mesa because of negative review I say just give it a go and see for yourself. Won't disappoint.
The restaurant is spacious, with a projector showing Mexican films on the wall, Mexican vintage candles and lamps all around the restaurant and on each table as well as a bar displaying hundreds of different tequilas, showcasing such a rustic and sultry ambience. The waitress was warm, welcoming and helpful with the menu.
Great food, atmosphere and service. First time here and hopefully I get to come again. We tried a few dishes and must say they were pretty deelious!! Prawn cigars, meatballs and pork taco were definitely my favourites. So much more items I should have tried but I was seriously full. Service staff were great and attentive. Til next time....
Decided to head to Mesa for a quick bite after work. I was by myself and the host kindly offered me a place at the bar so I could watch all the action. The bar staff were so friendly and helpful, suggesting food to order whilst making my cocktail (which was one of the best margaritas I've had in a long time!) They were quite busy but all had time for a quick chat. The food was speedy and fresh. Fish tacos and chicken wings were delicious and the tortilla chips and three salsas was great to snack on with my drink. I finished it all of with the Patron creme brƻlƩe which was out of this world. The tunes were great and I'd love to go back again soon with a big group of friends to try some more of the menu. So nice to find a place that doesn't make a single diner feel awkward, so thank you Mesa!
Great food and drinks. Great intimate venue. Food is delicious, but do yourself a favour and skip the wine menu (although it's excellent!) and skip straight to the impressive cocktails that come from the bar. Attentive staff.
Loved it. We did the $55 a head menu. So much food!!! Loved the tacos. Awesome cocktails, great tunes and the staff were all really lovely. The boys in the bar were really friendly and knew their stuff. Will be back for sure.
Fantastic place our 2nd time there and won't be the last delicious food, great atmosphere, and the waiters always there when you need them. Terrific experience.
Great Venue, Amazing Beer List. Wandered in off the street one Sunday afternoon and had a great time. Love the records on display, the oil lanterns and the artwork. The staff member (Craig) led us through the beer and wine lists with an amazing knowledge of the drinks on offer. Oh, and don't forget to order the soft tacos!!,
The food here is amazing, the tacos were a good size and full of flavour! Make sure you try the corn! Friendly service! Great experience, I will be back!
We dined here for a second time.. Started with some cocktails to tickle the throat and maybe start a tickle later. They were great! Get the margarita with pineapple. For food we had heaps to share. The sashimi was good but the watermelon salad was great! The taco were good... You do need at least two or three to share... Definitely go back! Would have liked to wear a sombrero to fit in more... Got strange looks not wearing one.
Excellent dinner. Visited Mese Verde for dinner and thought it was wonderful. Loved the corn, pulled pork tacos and salted prawns. I enjoyed the Lamb barbacoa but wouldn't order it again as I found it just a bit too rich for my liking. Other than that the service was attentive and cocktails were to die for. I definitely will be returning!
Yum! Good find. 6 of us en.... Yum! Good find.
6 of us enjoyed a beautifully prepared meal made with love & fresh ingredients. Home style. Think mexican equivalent of Ablas.
Delicious chicken wings!! The fish, crab, pulled pork & vego tacos were very good! ( didn't try the others) The salads esp the quinoa were outstanding-
We loved the margaritas with a choice of salt on rim- Mmmmm.
Makes for a nice night out!!
The best place to go if someone wants to try different tequilas!! The food is delicious and the service is even better !!
Adam was the best host! What a good experience! Totally recommended š
Loved the Portbello mushroom quesadillas and the Ox tongue tacos. Guac was also out of this world! Will definitely be back.
Place was vibey food was nice loved the ox tongue taco should add hot sauce it gives it a bit of a kick
MESA VERDE...what a lit time fam!
Mexican vibes with a heavy tequila influenced cocktail menu. The service was amazing, very attentive bar staff with great conversation. We sat at the bar as the rooftop was closed at the time, which was unfortunate but didnt stop us from having a a fun time. THANK YOU
Great atmosphere and a delicious range of cocktails and upmarket tacos.
The service was attentive and friendly while not being intrusive (pet hate of mine)
Food was served thick and fast without delay and servings were just right.
Cocktails were delicious with attention to detail.
Don't be put off by the website's lack of menu options, there were many more and the vegetarian offerings were delicious.
I'm not vego but they delivered in the taste department! my accomplice was even swayed to try the Rockling fish tacos and I think she might be converted!
Cocktails and tequila range is awesome.
Food is amazing melt in your mouth oxtail tacos so good highly recommend, the place in side is very moody and chilled atmosphere it's perfect cool decor aswell. Staff are super Friendly and helpful
Such great food, great staff and great vibes! Went for the chef's selection with agave pairing and everything we were served was so well explained and just stunning. The food tasted even better than it looked! We loved how friendly all the staff were and how enthusiastic they were with all the food and drink explanations. Absolutely will be back, there's a lot more menu to work through...
If I could rate this place higher than 5 stars, I would. Quintessentially Melbourne, this venue is both a Restaurant and Bar & just about as the coolest place in town to hang out. The predominantly Mexican menu is adventurous & tasty and the inventive cocktails are fabulous. Staff are attentive and just so darn nice! Do yourself a favour and head on up to Mesa Verde for an evening of great food, delicious drinks and cool vibes from the in-house DJ.
