Clean little cafe, great for coffee and a quick bite. The coffee is excellent, quick and friendly service. Food is also very good. Highly recommended for those times you don’t have a lot of time.

Goz City is a great lunch time spot for the city worker. Perched inside Madam Brussels lane, Goz City offers a range of house made Börek Fingers, Breakfast Pide in the morning with your Coffee or a Gözleme for Lunch. My go-to Goz is the Minced Meat with a side of Yoghurt. The portions are huge and a great winter warmer. The only downside is the plastic spoon, which should be swapped out with a set of chopsticks.
Always a line out the door. Ordered the herbed chicken goz. Thought 11 dollars was pricey but the portion was HUGE and the quality was amazing. Would def go back when I have a goz craving

Good, simple and quick lunch. Had my first gozleme here, so I can’t comment on how good it is relative to other similar food. The herbed chicken one I had was delicious. Generous dollop of Greek yoghurt. Agree that it’s slightly overpriced at $11 but the crowd tells you that people in the CBD are willing to pay! Would definitely come back to try other flavours - the spinach and cheese one was quite popular
Delicious every time. Pastry is freshly made and lightly pan fried to perfection. The filling is flavoursome also - be it the meat or vegetarian options. Main downside is wait time at this store. Do not come between 12.30-1.30pm unless you like standing in queues. Great value for your dollar.

We went to this place at 8am before work to be first in on the gozleme, however we were a bit too early as their gozlemes are only served from lunch onwards, so instead we had a sucuk sausage & eggs pide and spinach & cheese borek finger and it was very good as well.. Coffee was also very smooth.. I’ll definitely come back here to try their gozlemes.. Highly recommended..
The spinach and cheese goz is my favourite here. The bread is freshly made and filled and is absolutely delicious. I love the authenticity of this place. The servings are huge and will keep you full for ages. If you want a salad, I highly recommend the cauliflower salad. Fresh, healthy and delicious. Good service too 👍🏻
Wow! What a little gem! Went in around 12.30 and since it is a tiny little establishment, it was packed. I decided to get a takeaway. Ordered lunch special - mushroom gozleme and tabouli for salad. Gozleme had nice flavours with generous filling. Tabouli was crisp and fresh and probably one of the best salads I have ever eaten! Thus gets a 5 * all the way!
Amazing. My team and I went on a Thursday for lunch and it was packed. I tried the cheese and spinach - classic combo loved it. The mushroom and vegetable - surprisingly packed with flavour and very delicious. Minced beef - was delicious, so if you like your meat this is perfect 👌🏽 highly highly recommend

My favourite Gozleme place in Melbourne. Its located on Little Collins Street and very easy to locate.
It gets super packed during lunch hour and there are very limited seats, they dont take any bookings. Pretty interesting seats to sit on, though it gets super busy they are prompt and quick with their service.
All the Gozleme's are freshly made to order, very limited choice but everything is made to perfection for just $11. I have tried all their Gozleme's but my favourite's are minced meat and Cheese & Spinach Gozleme. They even serve Coffee and Tea including Turkish apple tea and Turkish Coffee.
I've only ever gotten takeaway gozleme from here but definitely worth the walk down Little Collins. Not bad price for the size & they always come fresh & hot! Always packed at lunchtime although there is a little area to sit inside or outside. The ladies & gents working here are always full of energy - you can watch from outside as they prepare the goods!

The Gozlemes are simply delicious! Freshly made right in front of you with fresh ingredients and comes out fresh and hot. The portion is quite large and a great price for $11.00 (yes the price has increased by $1 but its hardly anything because the food is soo good). Love the side of homemade yoghurt to eat with the Gozleme as its refreshing and it balances out the flavours! Highly recommended.
The Dear Luncher is feeling guilty. Guilty for crimes against culinary humanity. One count of culinary world crimes. Guilty for walking past Goz City so many times and never giving them a chance, until now. The Dear Luncher will now be making up for lost time, specifically breakfast time. The breakfast pide at Goz is a glorious package of egg, mince and other goodness baked beautifully in the confines of the signature Goz pides. An absolute joy to eat for breakfast. It will be a difficult challenge to not go back for another one of these later in the week. The coffee was on point as well. There’s a lot to like about this place.

There’s not much to say about Goz City apart from ‘Delicious Addiction’. Lunch time fav, you can sense how much people love this place/food just by the crowds lining up down the street. All the Goz flavors are worth a try. I’d definitely recommend the Mince Meat!!

The Goz is amazing but the salads I would sell a kidney for. Always fresh ingredients. Full of flavour and a very very clean shop. Staff are so friendly and accommodating. I am so happy i came across this place by accident. A great quality cheap eats for lunch as they do a Goz, salad and drink meal deal or single items down to home made Turkish delight can be purchased.
Very popular is always a good sign. I had the herbed chicken gozleme and it was prepared quickly and was yummy and warm, with a bit of yoghurt on the side. A great place to go for something quick - there are a few spots at the bench inside and a few tables if you want to eat outside, but you probably won't get a seat (it is that popular) so if you are happy to take your food away, this is a good place to get it.
If this was healthy, I'd eat it everyday. Great meal for ten bucks. The servings are very generous and I usually have leftovers for afternoon tea.
I legit come here 3 times a week for lunch sometimes because its that good. Their goz is made so authentically and you can see the cute older women make them through the window! The staff are super friendly, the decor is nice just a bit of a small space. Note this place does get really busy during lunch time hours where the line goes outside but its so worth it! Spinach and cheese is my go to with their chicken avo salad - which is amazing! Defs recommend :)
Loved the gozleme and super value for money. You can see them make it right there so you that what you get it fresh. With just a handful of options in the menu, it's super easy to order and get out esp during lunch hours in the city. It gets super crowded there during peak lunch hours so try and beat the rush if possible.

I absolutely love the herbed chicken gozleme! Paired with the delicious yoghurt dressing, this makes a perfect work lunch! Not too heavy but definitely enough to get you through the afternoon- and put a smile on your face for the afternoon as well! Can't go wrong! Yum!

Love love love the mince gozleme. For $10 we got a generous serve. It was flaky and yet not dry. While eating I think my boyfriend and I were both eyeing the crispy edges but I have to say that each bite was nonetheless delicious. For an additional $2 you can also get a coffee which is a big plus especially if you are working around the area. The queue here can get crazy especially during lunch hours so I would come a bit before or after (I came at about 2pm and it was a 10 minute wait for the food but I got to order almost immediately). There is a high turnover and you can see the gozleme being made on the spot so when the food actually gets to you it's hot and fresh (not like places where it's cooked in the masses and then microwaved when ordered resulting in soggy unappetizing food). I would say this place is a gem, it has good service and good food. It doesn't have much range but at least so far (from my experience as well as feedback from my friends) they do what they have to offer well. I'll definitely be back to try the other items.
Not too much selection for a Turkish restaurant, but that doesn't really matter, as they have the best Gözleme I found so far in Melbourne. Hard to find that quality in Turkey even.

Goz City is a gem for gourmet weekday lunch cravings. Service is fast and efficient, and the high turnover here means you're set to get a fresh off-the-grill gozleme. I really enjoyed the nicely toasted and flaky pastry, and there was a good ratio of cheese and spinach filling in there. I'm glad I didn't come across any section of the pastry that was either too dry or too doughy as expected from my experiences with gozlemes! Served with a generous dollop of yoghurt for only $10, the gozlemes at Goz City are a perfect midday treat.
The Swine has eaten at Goz City on a number of occasions. Each time has been satisfying. The Swine loves Turkish pastry and burek type eats so its a no brainer that the Swine enjoys the food here. Today the Swine had the mince meat option and it was great. The Swine thinks this places is a gold mine. Absolutely packed with a line down the street. This happens most days. It might be a small shop but this is a great endorsement. The Swine thinks this is a quality cheap eat - 10 bucks for lunch in the city is a good deal. SWINE APPROVED!
Wow! Going by their name it's safe to say that they're famous for their gozleme, and fairly so... Thin, chewy and crispy yet juicy filling. For those eating in, the array of seasonings on tables will have you planning to concoct the perfect one for you, although I always go for the freshly squeezed lemon juice and here it's so kindly supplied in little bottles. Thank you, thank you!
Alright, so there it is, officially the best Gozleme in Melbourne and god knows i tried many. Service is friendly and their production line is impressively efficient. Thumbs up.

gozlemes were quite good, but we didn't enjoy borek that much cause they were not freshly made and just warmed by microwave. turkish coffee was too sweet.
Whenever I miss martabak from my hometown, I always go to Goz City as it has similar taste and shape. Since I don't like lamb, my only option are the chicken or the cheese spinach. The cheese spinach is good, lighter and well balanced. The chicken is more flavoursome as the chicken itself has spices already, plus the yogurt combined the dish together.
They are very busy during lunch time and the space is limited so better to arrive earlier. However they serve pretty quick though and the staff were very friendly as well.
Goz City located in one of the many little laneways of Melbourne is a hidden gem tucked away. This is my common place to buy lunch from and I absolutely love everything about this place. Gozleme is like a Naan or a Pizza. Lots of place do it, everyone has their own taste and the quality of dough really decides how good the bread is. Of course having said that the toppings or fillings play a huge role from differentiating the plain ones from the stuffed ones. I personally am a big fan of the mince gozleme that they have on the menu which is red meat mince and onions nicely stuffed into a tortilla/paratha style bread which is then fried with butter or oil to get a nice crispy texture. Would recommend this place to anyone who is in the mood for a little turkish goz. Pricing is very good as well. Most Gozlemes' served here cost about $10.00 the little puff things aren't super great but not too bad either if ur in the mood for a little morning tea.
The last time I ate here, I was still feeling peckish, so this time round I decided that two serves will definitely make me full.
Quite busy during lunch hours, but order process was quick and I actually didn't have to wait around for long. Before I knew it, I had my takeaway and back to the office I went.
Tuesdays are special with a different flavour, this time it was Mediterranean Sucuk (beef sausage) and I got one of the last ones. Turns out it was a good choice and comparable to the mince meat but with olives. Also got the Cheese and Spinach, which is pretty standard.
So, in conclusion, nice and crispy, tasty, filling enough with a drink with a bit of variety in flavours.

A really nice place with quick service and really good food. We had the mushroom and vegetable gozleme and the spinach and cheese gozleme and it was really really good. I've been there a few times and have tried the mince gozleme and mushroom and mince gozleme (a tuesday special) previously and they were equally good. They serve other stuff too such as turkish coffee, desserts, pide and borek. Worth the $12 for a plate of gozleme and a drink.

Decided to go there for lunch today as I came across this place whilst reading an article... ordered the Herb Chicken Goz.. it was truly tasty... good portion size, adequate stuffing.. and the goz was well cooked and crispy around the edges... The line was never ending but service was quick.. would have liked the filling to have a little more spice to it but you can add the hot sauce they have there...
Definitely worth going back to try the other fillings...

There’s a variety of gozleme made fresh to order and on Tuesdays there’s a special gozleme up for grabs. Despite its name, Goz City also offers borek ($4), pitas ($6), salads ($6 for small, $10 for large), a few sweet treats like turkish delight and baklava and also coffee. Today’s special gozleme was tandoori chicken, but I decided to have a herbed chicken gozleme instead. The gozleme was quite large and cut into smaller pieces to aid consumption. The herbed chicken is served with some sour cream on the side, and there were chilli flakes, lemon juice and other condiments to sprinkle on top. I loved the crispy pastry and the subtle herb flavour of the chicken filling; my stomach was satisfied!

Sooo good. I come here say every month as a treat for a Cheese and Spinach Goz. Always delicious! Sometimes a bit of a wait but what do you expected over lunchtime when a place is pumping. It's a good sign people! I always tend to come a bit later more towards 2pm to try avoid a long wait. Not that its that long really, the get the orders out methodically. Came today and was in and out less that 7 mins and that was with 6-7 people ahead of me. Keep up the good work team!

Türkiye version of Aussie brekky. I like boreks, bureks, gözleme, however you want to spell/name them. And I was going to be wicked and treat myself to a full-on göz here for breakfast, even though they cost $10. It's more than I generally spend on morning food, but I'm having a high-paying week at work, so what the heck? Unfortunately, when I rocked up to Göz City shortly after 9 a.m., the tall bloke who's in charge told me the gözleme don't come out until lunchtime. I didn't want to stand around for a couple hours watching the head-scarfed woman in the front window rolling out that day's dough -- always fun to see how your food's being prepped! -- so I second-choiced a sujuk-and-egg pide ($5) instead. With a Turkish coffee for good measure, even though I already had a macchiato at home when I work up at 0530.
The pide was nice, with a fresh, yeasty-tasting dough and a toothsome outer crust. Göz City is sensible enough to reheat them for diners in a radiant oven, not a microwave, so they don't come out tough. The egg, tomato and sausage filling was pleasant, not overly spicy. As I was eating it, it struck me that this is the Turkish version of the archetypal Australian bacon-and-egg sanger at breakfast.
So maybe the shot-glass sized thimble of Turkish coffee I had was the counterpart to a short black. It was made from powder that came from a bottle, like Turkish Nescafe, which surprised me. However, the coffee component wasn't a freeze-dried formerly liquid substance. This was some sort of powdered ultra-fine coffee grounds. It was OK, a trifle exotic in flavour, like maybe with a hint of cardamom. Not much sludge in the bottom, perhaps because I kept stirring it to dissolve the sugar I poured in. I like sweetness with my bitter. I'll go for flat whites 98% of the time, but it was good to have a novelty coffee here in keeping with the vibe of the eatery.
I am digging on this place hard! Staff super friendly, food delicious and fresh, great coffee, nice atmosphere. So happy something like this has opened up in my neighbourhood. Rad.
Great Gozleme. I was lucky to get a chance to eat one the other day. It is one of the best in Melbourne. Service was great and quick, even though it was lunch time. Shame they don't have more space inside to eat in and they close early. So get in early people. Prices are also very reasonable.

Great Goz. I arrived at the peak of the peak - just after 1pm on a Friday. The line was out the door, but on closer inspection it looked worse than it was - as the place is so tiny it only takes 3 people in front of you for the line to be out the door. It did take a while though before you got to the counter - I have a feeling the orders were being slowed down to help out the kitchen and space things out a bit (fair enough).
I love how you can see right into the kitchen (either from inside, or peeking through the window from outside) and see every step of the process - the hand-rolling of the dough (the lady that does that must have guns), the filling, and the cooking on the hotplate.
All goz are $10. I ordered the classic spinach and cheese. I was advised there would be a 10 minute wait on the goz, which I appreciated. There are only two tables and four stools inside and two tables outside. The rest of the space was filled up with people standing around for their goz, but it wasn't problematic - it is what it is. I checked out the salads which were almost all gone - they might want to consider making a bigger quantity on popular lunch days such as Friday.
True to the word, my goz was ready in 10 minutes. If you're intending to sit outside somewhere, take a stack of napkins as this really is food you eat by hand.
The goz is served cut up with a dollop of sour cream on the side.
I must say, the goz is excellent. The dough/pastry was so thin and delicious and crispy and the filling so full of flavour. It stays super hot the whole way through the eating process and dripping it into the cool sour cream really works. The serving size is generous for CBD prices.
I can see why this place is popular. There isn't really a place that sells goz like this in the CBD (to my knowledge).

Pop in for a coffee from Toby’s Estate and grab a hearty gozleme on the go. The full window at the front displays the lovely ladies rolling out super thin pastry and generously filling with fragrant minced meat or cheese and spinach. The gozleme is cooked on the hot plate and the pastry outer goes fabulously crispy and flakey. A little yoghurt and a sprinkle go chilli and this is my perfect brunch. The serve is very generous, we couldn’t finish but take away is an option so you can gozleme some more. Nice guys, our forgotten vine leaf was quickly resolved and I’d definitely drop by again.

Once a week, one of the 'special' gozleme is available. We were given three to try - a Moroccan Lamb, prawn and sujuk. Compared to the regular offerings I thought these were a bit of a mixed bag. Goz of the day, even better than the chicken and spinach and cheese was the deliciously moist and meaty Moroccan lamb. Both of the others though I thought had some minor issues, the sujuk didn't have the real flavour kick that I was expecting, the prawn was a little 'messy'.
