We loved the eggs Benedict & coffees!! Thanks for the friendly & quick service!! We loved our waitress Sudi!!
We also recommend Bambu!! đ´
Really great place with nice interior , lots of space . Friendly staff and the food was great would give them a solid 4.5/5.
Had the massaman curry , waffle fryâs and the barramundi salad. All where great and coffee was delicious .
Food was very nice, also had a green smoothie which i liked. Experience was made so very enjoyable by one of the lovely young girls, Tessa, looking after us. We told her we would be back next weekend to see her again!
I have been to Dundas and Faussett many times and it never ceases to impress me. The location is amazing and you can sit for hours enjoying the sunshine, people watching and drinking coffee. The food is consistently good and they have a menu for all tastes. My favourites are the zoodle salad with chicken, nasi goreng & pad thai noodles. So many options. The staff are always friendly and management work hard to make customers feel welcome. This is my go to place when I want to sit down for a relaxing meal or when I am in a hurry as they do everything takeaway. I highly recommend.
I went there quite a while ago, but still remember the excellent service. I was greeted with kind smiles as soon as I walked in. The place closes pretty late for a brunch place. They are open for dinner on some nights, but also offer lunch and brunch/breakfast menus until around 5 or 5.30PM. I really like this since I LOVE brunch, and would love to have it anytime of the day đđđ.
One of the more unique cafes from the Darling Group!
FOOD: We ordered the Hotcakes and Omelette! They were DEFINITELY a value for money because the portions were sooo substantial and so worth it! The Hotcakes were really really good and when it first came, it looked small but looks are deceiving because these babies will STUFF YOU FULL. The hazelnuts went really well with the soft pillowy hotcake and the palm sugar caramel was really special and different!! It got abit too sweet at the end though so if you like your sweet hotcakes, this is for you
COFFEE: Their coffee is amazing (as usual), I got a soy latte and I would expect nothing but pure perfection from any cafe linked to the Darling Group
Such a great atmosphere here! itâs definitely one of our faves!! Menu has enough choice to please anyone and the food is always super delicious!! Great weekend spot, sitting outside in the sun and feasting on a delicious breakfast!
Our must haves are the Eggs Benny & the pancakes đđ¤¤
Very busy place, but efficient service. Food is good (although needs a bit of seasoning) and coffee is great.
After a fun and exhausting morning of badminton over at MSAC, we found ourselves in need of a recharge. And we got exactly that at Albert Park eatery Dundas & Faussett, filling up with some yum brunch. When in doubt go to where the locals go. Dundas & Faussett was easily the busiest eatery in this neighbourhood. We took it as a sure sign that it would be a goodie. Thereâs a big outdoor section which would have been perfect for catching some afternoon rays, but as we were a big group we didnât have too much choice. A big table at the back but ended up perfect.
Excellent service and warm staff. Tried the Nasi Goreng which was delicious, fresh and filling. Canât wait to try new things at this amazing place.
Been here multiple times with my darling and it's one of our faves. Has a lot of variety tho some can be a little hit and miss. But overral Love it service Lovely area and overral great food
What a lovely little spot. We just moved to the neighbourhood and this was the first place I went to looking for a quick bite to eat with my little baby girl. Gorgeous accommodating staff and, what is generally a bog standard avocado toast and a bit of salad elsewhere, was beautifully presented, super tasty and a nice generous portion to boot (which we love!) . The place had a lovely airy chilled holiday vibe to it too
I definitely see this becoming our local haunt. Thank You!
Great service! One of the only cafes thatâs open on a late Sunday afternoon. We ordered an iced coffee, cappuccinos and some pastries from the dessert bar! The barista was really nice
Dundas is now a staple on my list of cafes, where food, coffee & service is excellent with every visit.
Thoroughly enjoyed their Mango & Passionfruit Panna Cotta.
Went here on a Friday morning and it was busy, outside and inside. The menu has so many options for breakfast & lunch. I got the delicious hot cakes topped with yummy goodness on top and oh my gosh it was amazing! Definitely want to come back and try other dishes.
The vibe outside was great, awesome location and the staff were so friendly and bubbly!
Spacious cafe with the perfect outdoor setting. Their food selection is great, they offer multiple cuisines (breakfast foods, modern Australian, Thai) so itâs a good choice for picky families / big groups, and portions are generous. The staff arenât rude but come off as cold and probably donât care to be there.
Have only been for coffee one morning before work. The place was bustling, a good sign for any cafe on a week day. My hot soy flat white took a while to arrive, but the creamy caffeine hit was well worth the wait. Nice blend, well-frothed milk. Can't wait to go back and try the extensive food selection.
Headed here for late lunch and tried the lamb rendang . Flavours went well together and the taste was fantastic. only thing I can say is needed to be cooked a little less and add the garnish fresh rather than being sozzled. my arab friends would really like this too
A sunny Saturday morning in Melbourne had us dust off the convertible for drive to Albert Park for breakfast. Non locals to the area, we liked the look of Dundas & Faussett with its large corner building, tables outside and welcoming atmosphere. It was busy enough that there were no outside tables available and about half inside. We found a sunny spot inside and ordered: 2 cuppacinos, farmers omelette (potato, bacon, tomato, zucchini)and the broccolini (with poached eggs, avocado, grilled haloumi, almonds and spicy hommus). Both fans with toast.
The coffee was average, but not bad.
The omelette was good but nothing special (according to the Mr). My dish was great. The hommus had a small kick, the toasted almonds lifted the eggs and avocado and the broccoli I, whilst not often seen on a breakfast menu, was cooked perfectly - a little crunch left in it.
A great atmosphere and every dish we saw was visually appealing. There is a selection of slices and donuts if thatâs youâre thing and are open for lunch and dinner.
Friendly staff and good service.
Went to Dundas on a very sunny afternoon during the week, it was soooo busy! Couldn't believe that many people actually don't need to go to work.. Got the last table outside and enjoyed the sunshine very much.
Service wasn't the most friendly in Melbourne, some of the waitress probably don't really care. Coffee was nice, the smoothie was so good that I was happily paying $10, and its so pretty! Ordered salmon Benedict, Wagyu burger and the prawn pad thai. Food came out quite quick and they were all really lovely. Also ordered the sweet potato chips that was super yummy!
Will be back if Im in the neighbourhood!
I ordered a healthy soumding item the Ricotta hotcakes, thinking of trying something new. Little did I know, it would be waffles with lots of fruits and caramel. Though the waffles did not taste anything like Ricotta but I enjoyed my meal, I honestly felt caramel was little too much in the end with the hazelnut crumble . The meal was definitely super healthy and sweet. Would love to try other items out of the menu.
Good ambience, try to reserve a table as you may experience delay on weekends.
Been here a couple of times for lunch and breakfast and food always has generous servings. Chicken salad is particularly nice and the smoothies are fairly decent. Eggs seems to be fairly run of the mill for breakfast but still tasty. Worth a look if youâre in the area
Normally this place is associated as a busy local breakfast and brunch spot but found out recently they offer a dinner menu Friday and Saturday nights till 9pm so decided to try it out. The dinner menu is heavily Asian food inspired and offers a great choice of dishes. In the end I went for the San Choy Bow to start followed by the fried chicken bao with Asian Slaw and waffle fries. Both dishes were fantastic especially with the 2 glasses of rose (as yes they are fully licensed) . Our waitress was great and service top notch.
Amazing! Dundas & Faussett has the most amazing hotcakes! My friend and I travel 1 hour when we get the chance to eat here! Coffee is great and the staff are so friendly ! If we lived closer we would definitely be there more often!
I eat here perhaps three times a year, and generally sit outside, in the large open eating area that will allow for a bit of sun if desired. The staff are efficient if somewhat impersonal in their approach. The food is on-point cafe fare: good looking, tasty; nothing too challenging or unconventional. One glance at the well-manicured regular diners (and their well-manicured dogs) and you know this place has adopted the kind of reassuringly familiar formula that is bound to deliver success in this competitive neighbourhood.
For people who like to have brunch with the typical asian food, you guys can try it here! this is my first time coming here too and unexpectedly it was really good though.
One of my friend does not really like to have brunch because he thinks that typical food of brunch does not satisfied him. But when he look at the menu and he saw the fried rice he said to me "this was kind a food that I like". So yeah, that almost sum up my whole story.
The service was quite good but it is not bad I think it's because that day was Saturday and its weekend. so the waitress were really busy with customer calling them all day. So as I said before, my friend order his Thailand fried rice and I'm order soft shell crab burger.
For the soft shell crab burger, it was quite big but the taste is okay. its quite scaled and it cost you around $AUD 15 to get this food.
Thailand fried rice, it was really good. the portion is quite small but the taste is really balanced (not to oily, not to salty as well). It cost you around $AUD 13 to get this food.
We sit in the outdoor. outdoor area was really nice. However it was quite windy and cold. and they did not have heater. quite disappointing. But for others, its all good. Will come back here for sure.

After a very long walk in the afternoon we arrived in Albert Park and we decided to get a coffee. really good coffee and really good customer service. Definitely if in the area going back to try the breakfast or lunch.
The portions were huge and hubby really liked his French toast (he didnât leave any for me to try!). My prawn pasta was ok except no one like the texture of the prawns but the pasta was yum. The spring rolls werenât that great neither was the coffee.
The baked barramundi was ever so slightly and was swimming in soy sauce. I probably wonât go for the Asian style food anymore at Dundas and Faussett and will try their juice. Service was good as well. No problems w that
very long way to travel if you live outside the city or away from st kilda. Quite pricey, however the deco and visual space is very inviting. Staff are incredibly friendly. Would reccomend the pancakes or big breakfast.
Perfect place with perfect food, yesterday was my first time try Dundas&Faussett and it was much better than I thought. Love warm chicken salad and club sandwich and will definitely try coffee in a cone next time.
Good try. This is a solid restaurant that some days excels and other days just is average. Today was somewhere in between. I had the barramundi and rice and it came in a broth. It says in the menu it is baked but not sure how that occurred. Looked boiled to me. My friends had the chips (they loved them) the pad Thai and also had the stir fry. That said it was a little on the spicy side. A good go to place. Fresh food. Lots of turnover of people good vibe. Friendly staff.
The long wait for a table & the inattentive staff paid off with One of the best bfasts we have had in a long time. All three meals were great. Would definitely go back just for the amazing food.

I love coming here because of the area and the outdoor set up, such a great spot. Came here with a group of friends and the food was great. Staff took a little too long to come and take our order but the food at least came quickly. I ordered the roasted pumpkin and feta salad which was deeeelicious! I also tried my boyfriends satay chicken which was so flavoursome.
Let me start off by saying that I wasn't expecting much from Dundas & Faussett. I didn't enjoy my experience at its sister cafe, and the reviews for D & F were leaning more towards average. Boy, how wrong was I. This cafe is absolutely wonderful in all aspects, and left me wanting to return for more.
We were impressed from the moment we walked in. Casual vibes all around. Gorgeous smiles from the waitresses, and all very attentive and well-organised. Coffee was delivered promptly to us, and it was one of the best skinny latte I had. Perfectly balanced! The green smoothie was jam packed with flavours, and super filling to boot. We also just had to try the coffee in a cone, and wow what a delight. The chocolate-coated cone resulted in quite a magical tasting "mocha", and the best part of biting into the coffee soaked cone in the end. Yum!
The extensive menu showcases a whole gamut of dishes - curries, wok-fried, salads, burgers, and all the usual brunch suspects. It was quite overwhelming and would be extremely difficult for the indecisive to settle on just one dish. We decided to try the brunch dishes, and it exceeded our expectations. Perfectly toasted bread, great mix of flavours and texture from the bacon, potatoes, parsley and tomatoes in the omelette, soft yet crispy fritters, and both dishes were beautifully seasoned.
I haven't rated a place so high in quite some time, but Dundas & Faussett totally blew me away.
Have frequented D&F frequently over the years. Food is always good. Friendly owners. However, when we were seated the menus were put down on an uncleaned table. We had to ask for the table to be cleaned. Also returned the water glass as it wasn't clean. For the first time I experienced rudeness and attitude from a young waitress. Tess. Came over literally grabbed my plate and serviette. Did not ask if I had finished. When I took the serviette back she mumbled under her breath. Not sure what training is given to waitering staff. I suggest teaching them etiquette in working in the hospitality industry.
It was beautiful sitting outside in the winter sun today, but Dundas & Faussett has beautiful interiors as well. Unfortunately, the staff didn't appear as appreciative of being there- they were polite, but not overly welcoming.
The menu is varied and broad, but nothing completely out of the ordinary (and therefore exciting) on the breakfast spread. I ended up having the beans and chorizo hot pot which had great flavour- the sourdough with feta was pretty light on though. A pleasant enough experience and would be perfect for a social outing.
Nasi goreng, just beautiful.
This place have the vibe and atmosphere that just suits Albert Park.
Lots of outdoor seating and north facing with lots of space in & out.
Food here has the best of Asian influence and breakfasts that are fit for a king, and yes, coffee is greatâď¸
Very busy and there is a definite reason why!
The serves are of a generous quantity, served promptly and the staff are always on the go, friendly and polite .
You will enjoy it.

Our absolute fave when we are over this way! Can not go past it đđź The grilled broccolini with Avo, saganaki and poached eyes is the best! I have it every time! Mum tried the ricotta hot cakes this morning, which were yum. Coffee is divine, service is friendly and fast. Lovely cafe. Worth far more than 3.5
Welcome back to Cards and CafĂŠs! Dundas and Faussett is pretty easy to find, as they have quite a large sign outside. They also have a large floor space, both inside and outside, so you are almost sure to find a table.....
Strolling around Albert Park we decided to try here. We were pleasantly surprised. Both our dishes were delicious. Slightly a bit over priced though
Bacon Underdone -
bacon needs to be crispy in order to receive a score of 5
If you like bacon that is barely cooked, you should ask for ham instead.
As a regular here the food never disappoints!! The salads are quite possibly the best in Melbourne. The staff are great and the atmosphere is lively.
I had wanted to visit this place for awhile and I'm so glad I was able to the other day. The service was friendly and the cafe atmosphere was lovely. We enjoyed the coffee and food. We weren't that hungry so we ordered the Ricotta Hotcakes to share. To our surprise it came out on two separate plates. We thought that was a great thing for the cafe to do. It saved us from having to eat from one plate and we had equal portions. It was a delicious dish. The hazelnut crumble with the banana and berries went so well together. I could have kept eating the hazelnut crumble as it was that good. Our experience there was fantastic and we look forward to visiting Dundas and Faussett again.
Just love the whole Dundas strip in Albert Park, can't go wrong anywhere there but Dundas & Faussett is the pick. Friendly and fast. I had the open steak sandwich and my wife the Satay chicken, both superb.
Amazing food, service and decor. Cannot fault anything here and I can see why this cafe is always busy with locals. The meals are large for the price, a lot of friendly staff who seem to work well together considering the quick turn over of customers. They are happy to answer questions from customers and have a good knowledge of the menu. Will definitely come here again & hopefully become a regular.
Busy place however, the food & coffee came & quickly & was to a very high standard. Big portions & good value for money. Such a large menu with something for everyone. I will be back!
Genuinely the best hotcakes I've ever had. The hotcake was fluffy and cooked perfectly, the palm sugar caramel was generous and the sweetness was well balanced by the fresh strawberries, blueberries and banana. But by far the highlight was the hazelnut crumble. So delicious and added great texture to the dish. The cafe itself was airy and spacious and we didn't have to wait for a table which was excellent. My only comment is that the service was probably a little bit slow. Not a major drama though.
Great place for father day being able to book. So busy as it seems everyone had the same idea. Lovely to sit outside with the heaters going and complimentary blankets for extra warmth. We had plenty of room for a pram which always makes it more enjoyable not worrying about being in The way. Coffee is đđ˝was on our table in no time at all. I ordered the acai bowl which was YUM. Perfect for breakfast and presented beautifully. Hubby had the salmon with avo salsa and potato Rosti. He loved his dish but only downfall was the toast was so hard he could barely cut into it and made it hard to eat. Service was quick. Love the uniforms the safe have too. They have a wide variety on their menu and perfect for brekkie lunch or dinner.
Tasted fine, with generous portion. Liking the beans from the big breakfast. My toasts came so hard somehow and coffee was a bit late. Service was great and they provide blanket for customers sitting outside.. but not sure if they're clean? Was a nice gesture though.
Nice little set up. The food was ok without being great. Had the salmon fillet. It wasn't fresh and the sauce was lacking any real flavour. It's not bad but wasn't amazing. Also service was little off because the food didn't come out at the same time.
What can I say other than great!! Large menu so there is something for everyone, great service and great standards, have been here a couple of times now, and is consistently tasty
Went here for a weekend brunch date with girlfriends and it was amazing! It was super busy and for good reason. Menu was not over the top with lots of yummy things and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Coffee most importantly was spot on too đ They even have blankets for keeping their outside...
The staff were exceptionally friendly and with the uniform they are easy to spot. Â Menu options for breakfast are extensive. Â I had the brocollini with saganaki. Â Saganaki piece was quite small but that is usually the case so it's not a fault. Â Flavours were delicious. Â Also tried the hotcakes which were amazing. Â You could actually see the ricotta. Â There were 8 of us there and we all had something different. Â The omelette sizes are quite large and neither were finished. Â Servings are generous and it is quite warm inside so it was comfortable. Â I also went home with a muffin and some of their biscuits. Â My only issue is the fact that this is quite a large cafe and that there is only 1 for women & 1 for men and that it is situated right by the kitchen was a bit odd. Â Regardless, don't be put off trying this cafe.
I came for lunch with friend on the weekend. It was absoblutely stunning that we were very enjoyed the food and the friendly service. Trying the softshell crab burger, it was so good.we will be back soon.
Such a pretty little cafe with the most beautiful display of cakes and pastries! I ordered a key lime doughnut and a caramel slice to takeaway. The service was really friendly and efficient.
Came here on a weekday for a late brunch session. Ordered the soft shell crab burger & the pretty ricotta hotcake! First, the burger was mediocre, however the wedges went well with sweet chilli sauce that came with it. Hotcakes were good! I like how the strawberries, granola & the hotcake went really well together- a a balance between sweet & sour. I did not like the caramelised banana though, they were mushy & bland. Service was good. I'm sure you would be able to find better burger & hotcakes.
Ricotta hotcakes so good you may not finish em! A last minute decision to hit up this spot instead of plan A, turned out to be quiet the pleasant surprise. But not all was good. Getting the bad stuff out of the way, highly recommend starting away from the French toast, despite how good it may look. The flavours didn't quite gel. Now onto the good stuff ... the hotcakes. Having fried/cooked banana was always gonna be good, but damn was I not expecting it to be 'this good'! Probably one the best hotcakes I've ever tried. The flavours with the caramelised sugar and berries complemented the banana well and it was indeed that good that I had to stop with quite a bit leftover. Full sized servings and it tastes 'that damn good'!
Anyways, this is just one Sunday review, not necessarily the baseline.
Great local Melbourne cafe. Wide selection of classic brunch option and big 'The Wok' section with a variety of Thai dishes, which are very authentic (most of the kitchen staff are Asian!).
Love this place. The breakfast bruschetta is my absolute favourite and the atmosphere is phenomenal. Outside seating is well set out and nice and friendly service. Also being able to make choose ingredients to make your own juice is a bonus! Goes well on a hot day
We went here for a quick late afternoon snack and ended up ordering wedges and fruit salad with yogurt and honey - strange ordering but it was surprisingly satisfying! The fruit salad was especially nice and very pleasing to the eye! My only criticism is that when I walked past the kitchen it was very messy, there was food all over the floor, just seemed a bit strange given the trendy cafe setting out front.

You can't miss this establishment. This sprawling cafe takes up the entire north-east corner of Dundas Lane and Faussett Lane in Albert Park Village. Its large seating capacity attests to the volume of customers they see daily. Diners are spoilt for choice here because the menu has everrrrything. The breakfast menu alone has twenty-two items spanning from traditional egg-based dishes to healthy porridges and fruity muesli, one of which is my favorite, the eye-popping gorgeous organic acai smoothie bowl.
I think this was my 5th(?) dining experience here. My coworkers love it and they order a stir fry every time. I like to branch out a try new items. I had the soft shell crab sandwich. It was good but not memorable and don't think I would order it again. The roti bread and peanut sauce was yummy. Service was really slow and there were a lot of employees. I'm sure we'll be back. Outdoor dining is quite nice.
Food was absolutely amazing! Had the crunchy salmon. But everyone's food looked great. Service was a little bit slow but we had a big party so it's understandable.
Since the change of ownership this place is so much better. Great services and no more long waits for food. Very extensive menu with lots of options for lunch. I don't think they know what they are doing with the wine list though, very poor quality wines at premium prices by the glass.

it is rare to have a chance to eat as healthy and nutritious as here in most of the other cafes
The vege is poached I guess, even still put some oil to make it looks nicer before served but already much less oil and unhealthy dressing than other cafes
If no oil in this dish at all will be more than perfect !
A good place to have a simple and satisfied meal alone~
Beautiful lunch, great service...
Lovely place to sit and have food. Have comfortable seats both outdoors and indoors.
Dundas is a great location, top coffee and food! Been here hundreds of times, highly recommend, especially in the warmer months for a brunch or late lunch. Kitchen is open late (very rare in most cafes) which is super convenient.
Part of Darling Group which have half a dozen other spots around Melbourne, all of which are very nice (eaten at all of them many times).
Great place for brunch .. Very attentive service and my food and coffee đ
Definitely would come back .. maybe will try the lunch menu next time
