Been here a few times in past and is always consistently good. Had the salmon vermicelli bowl with xo sauce. The flavours are good, right amount of sauce. Generous with the salmon serving and the chilli sauce packs a punch here. Service is quick too. Ordered and ate in half hour.
Pretty chill ambience and it’s a good place to hang out after work! 👍🏻 However, the portion is slightly small and it’s just right for small eaters.
Food: The taste of the prawn and crab vermicelli is refreshing and the hint of spiciness is just right. But not much prawn or crab taste from the spring rolls

Today we ordered x2 Crispy Slaws (Tumeric Chicken), a Beef brisket Bahn mi & a serving of Scallops and Prawn dumplings.
Fried shallots and Tumeric Chicken made the dish of the slaw.
The Bahn mi was very different to our expectations as they came with Brioche bread; but turned out to be a very delicious sweet treat!
Scallop and Prawn dumplings were very delicious and came with a lovely sweet spice dipping sauce.
Only downfall was that I'd wanted to order the well known Rice paper rolls but they were all sold out :(
Will return someday to try those Rice paper rolls!!

Busy little restaurant with nice staff. We always order the lemongrass beef with red rice, quinoa and greens. The food is always nice and we’ve been here many times. I would definitely recommend this place
Having dined here a number of times, my go to dish is the beef rice noodle salad. Always ask for sauce on the side and it will come in a small teacup and allow for greater enjoyment and control over the flavours of your every bite. The meat is average but there is good variety in the dish and the interiors are well-considered, both a tasteful celebration and respectful homage to its Vietnamese origins.
Misschu deserves the it's place in as a strong, pioneering, chic space in Melbourne's food scene.
Delicious Vietnamese food! The wait staff are very friendly. Such great price for the food. Left my wallet there and in a panic called them to see if they had it - they did and were incredibly polite and helpful in returning it to me. Always a favourite restaurant when lunching in the city.
Tofu rice paper rolls were good. I love buns but wasn’t too keen on the ones here, the vegetable filling didn’t taste that great to me. Veggie dumpings were really good wish more came in a serve! Mushroom vegan dish with rice was delicious too and a generous serve

These little Viet stores of joy are packed with traditional recipes with a modern twist, using fresh ingredients, and in true vietnamse fashion, its all for a reasonable price.
The service could be more attentive but besides that we give Miss Chu 4/5 stars.

A favourite office takeaway outlet! Nothing in this menu is boring, with everything packing a punch. Any combination of the protein and black rice with quinoa combo is great. Spring rolls yum... Pho even better! Efficient, fast and available on Uber eats. I love this place.
Loved it great street food, good vibe and they dealt well with the influx of people looking for a feed after work. Great place for little bites and also mains the Bahn mi is so tasty and the vegan dishes are awesome too
Great little "modern" Vietnamese place. I love their vermicelli noodles salad with lemongrass beef. Other really nice items on their menu also… Place is tiny though. Expect to wait during busy periods.
Cheap n Cheerful Large Portions but a Tad Oily & Salty.
This was my first time here so l was kind of ordering blind but l have eaten Vietnamese food many times before. I had the vermicelli and salad with 3 types of mushrooms. Unfortunately only one type of mushroom arrived and they were quite oily.
Additionally, there was no mention on the menu re sauces so l assumed fish sauce (ngoc tam) will come on the side. Instead, a dark, salty and oily soy sauce concoction came already mixed into my bowl.
I could hardly finish it as it was too much and there wasn't enough salad to balance it out.
Regardless, l will give it another try as my as my friend's meals looked good, service was friendly and place was very pleasant for a quick lunch.
Absolutely delicious, authentic Vietnamese food here! I was very impressed at the great flavours in every one of the dishes I tried. This place is good to go to with a small group, because it doesn't have much space/ many big tables.
Great vegan options here. Had the Vegan Asian Vegetables with garlic chives steamed dumplings for entree and the Vegan Sautéed Shitake, Enoki & Shimeji Mushrooms Warm Vermicelli Salad for main. My only criticism is that it is hard to find the place. I believe the name needs to be written somewhere on the front of the building as at the moment they only have a sign with a picture of a young girl and nothing else to label the restaurant.
Food was so fresh and had amazing flavours. I'm very picky with my meat but the beef and chicken vermicelli salads were delish. Unfortunately the chicken dish came out covered in peanuts and one of us is allergic- would have been helpful if it was stated on the menu.
A visiting relative from overseas wanted to have Vietnamese cuisine tonight and we wanted somewhere central in CBD so Miss Chu seemed like a good choice. The only Miss Chu signage is the portrait of a young girl at the entrance, so our visitor was a little lost looking for "Miss Chu" signage. There tables are quite small so there is not much room to move for a group of 5. The menu is quite short but it was a good selection. We ordered spring rolls, quinoa salad, beef pho, crispy calamari to share. The food was quite tasty and the calamari served with kafir lime mayo is the highlight, delicious! Whilst Miss Chu may not be your traditional Vietnamese restaurant, it is a good place to have casual night out.
Always a big fan of Vietnamese cuisine, and what better place to try it than Misschu. This place serves on a simple and effective menu so the service is quick. Can always go back to try everything on their menu.

So I’ve heard about MissChu Tuckshop story a while ago and finally got to try it when I realised the exhbition store was located a few min walk away from my new workplace.. hooray!! As their website mention ‘the original Asian street-food ‘tuckshop’’ -this joint’s menu offer a variety option of healthy hawker food items inspired by all the beautiful cuisines of Vietnam. Small but sufficient – write your orders down and pay at the front. Great for small groups.
Beef vermicelli bowl is through the roof good! Not the cheapest lunch spot in the area but one of the best. Highly recommended. Good spot for a 1:1 lunch.
Walked past this restaurant to grab a quick bite as it is really close to the hotel that we stayed at. The rice paper rolls were pretty delicious.

I work quite close to Miss Chu and it's my go to when I need a quick lunch. Quality and taste can be hit and miss, and it definitely lacks the class that the Toorak Road outlet has. The Pho can be really good one day and very average the next. I'll continue to go back as it's really convenient for me but I've dropped my expectations of it.
Got the mushroom, rice, quinoa and greens dish, really liked it, very tasty. Would like to see more vegan options on the menu. My friend had the vegan soup which was good. Would definitely return. One thing that was annoying though is that the place was empty, plenty of people working there, but it took ages for my friend to get her tea and her soup, and my other friend had to wait a while for her soup too. Meals should come out within a few mins of each other, mine came out first and by the time my friends got theirs I was nearly half done (we don't wait for each other because then the food will get cold)
I have to say they have the best spring rolls in Melbourne! Food was served very quick and every dish was just so good! A very creative fusion Asian restaurant!
All the food we ordered (except the beef pho) were awesome. The grilled beef vermicelli was very flavourful and the fried chicken bun was very well done. However, the staff/chef need to be more careful when placing/processing the customer order. They messed up our order twice and we waited for a long time for the food to arrive. Hopefully the next visit will be better.

As seasoned Viet lovers we came here for a date night with high expectations after checking out reviews.
The Pros: The Pork Buns were fresh, hot, and melting in your mouth, the Popcorn Chicken was next level and could have gone a second serve. The mini pho's were cute & a nice size for a pho if you don't feel like doing the whole thing - good idea! The ambience & feel of the place is simply awesome - really trendy & fun.
The Cons: Roast Duck Rice Paper Rolls were more Lettuce Rice Paper Rolls with some Duck, and the pho's - although nice, one was served a little cold rather than hot. We also asked for minor modifications (chicken rather than beef in the pho & chicken in a vermicelli salad) - and they could not accommodate these. Really odd in our opinion - couldn't see how that wouldn't be catered towards unless they prepare everything off site. Lastly, customer service was poor - simply not up to scratch.
'Misschu' was good, with some wonderful ambience & tasty food, but has the potential to be so, so much more....
Came here for a little work lunch. Was very impressed with the vegan dumplings and vegan mushroom stir fry. As a newly vegetarian person, I didn't even miss meat (which I would normally order) because the dishes were so flavoursome and tasty. Service was friendly and pretty fast.
Tasty rice paper rolls, a thousand times better than what you'd experience at Roll'd - they even give you a thick, chunky peanut sauce in a little bowl which you can dip your rolls into. The pho however was a bit of a disappointment, and just a PSA: they definitely serve the beef RARE. Not even medium rare. I'd much rather go to a place specialising in pho than coming here for that. Overall their food is fresh, tasty and it's a pleasant dining experience at Misschu.
This place has a very cosy setting- perfect for couples or very small groups. The food was great! We got the lemongrass beef with rice and satay chicken vermicelli salad with a side of spring rolls. Everything was spicy but not over powering the rest of the flavors. If you don't like spicy foods I wouldn't recommend these meals. We thought the vermicelli salad could have had a bit more dressing. It wasn't till the end of the salad that we got most of the taste
Mixed feelings about this one, we arrived around 8pm to be told the kitchen would be closing soon so we had to order right away. We did but then people were walking in well after 8.30 and ordering? The food was pretty good but came out all at once and some of it was cold so we just felt super rushed. I've dined at the South Yarra tuck shop and it was a much nicer experience, the food was also better at South Yarra.
Great fast Vietnamese take away or dine in without the typical fast food chain factor. Plenty of options to alter your order or add extras. Definitely love the shirataki noodle option. Will definitely be back to try more from the menu.
Good food as usual however give the new steamed rice roll things a miss. Popcorn chicken great. Spring rolls good but a little bit great with the net. Soft squishy and they fall apart. See you next time
If close quarters and simple, honest cooking is what you're after, I think you'll enjoy a meal at misschu.
I got the sauteed shitake, enoki and shimeji mushroom warm vermicelli salad, which would have been spot on if the chef had held back a bit on the soy sauce. It was almost too salty to eat, and was a real shame because the ingredients in the rest of the dish were really well matched and would've made for a great dish. I wouldn't say it'd be like this every time, I'd give the chef the benefit of the doubt and say it was an accident.
My partner got the pork and prawn warm vermicelli spring roll salad which she said was delicious - it was very simple, but the dressing gave the vermicelli plenty of flavour, and the spring rolls were on point.
If you're there on a hot day, absolutely get the young coconut juice, which comes with chunks of real coconut flesh. It'll take the edge off a hot day and leave you feeling refreshed and good to go!

We ordered the Tiger Prawn and Green Mango Rice Paper Rolls, Peking Duck Pancake, Scallop and Prawn & Shanghai Dumplings, BBQ Pork Steamed Bun, Grilled Chicken & Beef & Crispy Banh Mi, Popcorn chicken.
All the dishes we got were absolutely delicious. Standouts were the Scallop and Prawn Dumplings which had the thinnest and softest pastry I've ever tried, and the Banh Mi which were all juicy with fresh soft buns.
We sat outside with the fairy lights on, the beautiful decor & some great music playing. It was a lovely experience & I'd highly recommend Misschu!
I ordered the Beef Lemongrass Vermicelli Salad through Ubereats and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it tasted. I wasn't expecting much when I saw how it was packaged - the noodles looked sodden/clumpy and there didn't seem to be any sauce in it.
However, once I opened up the container and started mixing everything together, the taste was very refreshing and I definitely felt healthy-ish eating it. There was a decent serving of meat and the sauce was not too overpowering. There was a generous serving of ingredients and I wouldn't mind ordering this again.
Tasty vermicelli, average rice paper rolls and steamed buns. The rice paper rolls and steamed buns were very over priced considering the tiny portions. I've never seen such small rice paper rolls.
I wish it was easier to get delivery from the better value, tastier, traditional spots on Swanston st. I have a feeling I'm funding hipsters by buying from misschu. Dammit.

Been here many a time. Always delicious! I had the lemongrass beef with rice,quinoa and greens (Chinese broccoli). The other option is to have with vercemilli noodles. flavours were amazing and it was the perfect size for lunch, didn't finish all the rice but I'm sure if you have a hungry tummy you would :-)
Perfect for a quick, delicious bite to eat after work. The squid is absolutely amazing and highly recommended! Vegetarian dumplings were like a party in my mouth, perfect level of spice. Looking forward to coming back.
Love this little place at the corner of Exhibition and LaTrobe St in Melbourne's CBD that cook up a terrific modern Vietnamese fusion cuisine. Super busy at lunch hour (and there are quite few eager patrons warming themselves by the fires outside) resting on quirky outside furniture (milk crates that make up for chairs)! Decent election of some basic (and some nice) wines. Try the Seared Atlantic Salmon and Satay Chicken - with or without the rice - your choice - staff are more than happy to accommodate your dietary requirements. Again - sample a few entrees - so best to come in a little group.
Had dinner here and for my first experience i was surprised! One word for the menu and its quality: awesome! Authentic, simple, well balanced, flavoursome; all combined to give this level of class unlike any other place. You can tell when a great amount of effort and thought had been put into the creation of this menu!
Misschu is a small restaurant offering tuck shop style Vietnamese food. Their modern take on authentic Vietnamese cuisine has left them with an expansive menu full of vibrant Vietnamese fare.
Always go for their rice paper rolls! I've tried the tiger prawn & mango (my fave), satay chicken & cucumber (which has a nice-peanuty flavor that's not too overwhelming), and also the vegan tofu one which is really good! For the main dish, I used to order the seared atlantic salmon with quinoa & greens, and the portion's really fulfilling. It's really good, but surprisingly, yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised by the vegan soup. Have to say that the content is all vegetables and it might be a lil bland in flavor! But you could always add in a little pinch of salt & add in more chilli into the bowl. Overall, the soup was really fulfilling as well & it was a rly good meal to end another cold & windy Melbourne day!

The rice paper rolls here are a little more gourmet, they really are a stand out compared to your normal Vietnamese rice paper rolls.
I sometimes order from Miss Chu but I've got to say it's been with less and less frequency. I'm coming to the end of what has been a long honeymoon period. While their vegetarian options used to appeal to me, I'm realising I've ordered the same from them every time due to their limited repertoire. My go-to dish is the mushroom, quinoa and wild rice. Rice paper rolls aren't bad value, either. Forego the vegetable dumplings, though... they're a gluey, tasteless waste of money. Would get back on the Miss Chu train if they paid a little more love to the vegetarians! It's been a while since a menu change, guys.
The prawn noodle salad here is pretty good, although pricey compared to other places. I like the Peking duck rolls and dumplings. It's a quite a small restaurant so seating can be hard to get. If in a hurry at lunchtime, I'd recommend ordering online ahead for pickup.
Tasty, relatively healthy, quick food option in the Spring St end of the city. Having been here a number of times, I can safely say the food is delicious! Full of flavors and heaps of spice, which I love. Ordering is a bit of a novelty if you are a newby. There is a menu on your table, you use the pencils available to mark your selection, then they take your order sheet and deliver your meal once it's ready. Generally the service is quick but in peak times it's hard to get a seat, the food wait is long and it gets very noisy! The only other criticism I have is price. Quite expensive for a quick meal. For example the rice paper rools are between $8 and $13 for two.
Like the black rice and the portion of the vegetables here and the taste was good but a little salty for me! I want to try other dishes in the future
Awesome Vietnamese food! We ordered the peking duck pancake, scallop dumplings, chili king prawn salad, and crab and prawn rice net salad. The Peking duck was well marinated, we wish the cucumber piece was a bit thicker. The scallop steamed dumplings were great but not so "wow". Both of our salads were the kings of the evening. The prawns were smoky and fresh while the spring rolls were crunchy, light and not oily. We would give this place a 3.8/5 but it's not possible so we settle for this until next time.

Came here for a quick and light dinner after a busy day in the city. Amazing food, full of flavour, super fresh and brought out from the kitchen fairly quickly. Great service, lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
Brilliant lunch options but make sure to get in early as word is spreading and will continue to grow about the wonderful miss chu. A pretty well established Melbourne love, Miss Chu's Rice Paper Rolls are a must and I'm a big fan of their vermicelli salads.
This is what Melbourne food culture is all about. I've been to this place twice in 2 weeks because it was so great. Lunch = Banh Mi was top notch with great, fresh ingredients and fresh bread leads to a wonderfully delicious lunch! Dinner was the Pho and salad was wonderful as well! From a service perspective, more could be done (eg. offering water/drinks etc...) but the food more than makes up for it.
With Vietnamese restaurants all over, it is hard to find a fresh one. I have only been (mildly) disappointed with my meal once which is great considering the number of times I have enjoyed their dumplings and warm vermicelli salad. Like most dining establishments I recommend eating there over delivery
Finally a place with low carb noodles! I had the Peking duck pancake and the warm salmon vermicelli salad the salmon was well cooked and the sauce was delicious with just the right amount of spice. The portion was just right. The pancake was also delicious the sauce was nice and sweet it left me wanting more but they are quite small. Will definitely be returning!
This place has been on my list for a while now and I finally had the chance for a weekday lunch here. My expectations of fresh, modern and quick food were met.

Almost every rice paper roll! All packed with flavour and joined by a tasty dipping sauce. The fried squid was great, super tender and just the right salt. Also operated Pork buns, but wasn't so impressed with the dry bun and the meat lacked flavour. Spring rolls were piping hot and worth the wait to cool down. Great options for lunch in the area.

This place seems to suit the in and out lunch crowd. I was there for a while With a friend and we saw several tables come and go. The service is prompt, with a smile, but focused on efficiency.
It's a cool little hideout in the north east end of the city. Check it out for fresh Vietnamese.
All dishes are awesome. No discussion. Lemongrass beef vermicelli salad is my no. 1. Delicious and healthy! Lunch, dinner or late night take out are all good choices.
The set up and the vibe of Mis Chu was absolutely fantastic, I loved the set up and it brought me into Friday mood even though we went for lunch mid week.
We ordered Prawn & crab net spring roll vermicelli salad, which was delicious and flavorsome. The spring rolls were crunchy, non oily and complemented the vermicelli. I think it is specialty of Mis Chu and I can see why. However, Lemon Grass beef with rice and greens was off putting, it looked delicious but I found it oily and dry and struggled to finish the dish.
A tad bit expensive for the quantity you get, but if their other dishes are equally good as the spring rolls it is worth it.
I would like to return and try their other dishes and may be score them higher.

Had an amazing experience tonite at miss chu thanks to the waitress.
I forgot my wallet before entering miss chu, was starving and only had about 20 minutes before my appointment. I asked the waitress if i could pay using my phone, unfortunately i couldnt. I left and a minute later the waitress came running out and said i could pay if i knew my credit card number and expirery. I thought this would work, but unfortunately i didn't know the expiry date.
Then the waitress offered to pay for my meal!!!
Then my meal only took 3 minutes to arrive after ordering it and guess what, it was beautiful!

Went to Miss Chu late last night for a quick bite. We were the only customers at around 9pm and had to order food straight away. We chose the Poached chicken & cucumber rice paper rolls and the Minced pork & woodier mushroom bánh cuốn (long dumpling). My boyfriend had the bánh cuốn a couple of days before for lunch and insisted that I would try them too. I thought all the food was pretty good, but not brilliant. My boyfriend said that the bánh cuốn weren't as good as when he had them for lunch the other day. We also took a pineapple and mint frozen coconut crush, which was like a slushee. I didn't really liked it, it tasted a bit like the pineapple that had gone into it was overripe.
The service was good & friendly.
I’ve been going for dumplings at Shandong Mama every time I need to eat in the city. It is a delicious and easy option that never fails to please. But I confess I’m a bit stuck in a rut and I was happy for somewhere different when my friend suggested Miss Chu before the opera on Tuesday night.
An institution. An institution that continues to serve up fresh and tasty Vietnamese fare with aplomb. So many highlights, from the rice paper rolls, prawn dumplings and delicious vermicelli salads. The crushies are refreshing and interesting (love the pineapple and mint), although be prepared for a wait on these. Recommended for locals and tourists alike.
Nice lunch place, fresh food and lots of flavour it is a little on the pricey side for the size specially if you want to try a bunch of different things it may end up costing a bit. They should offer lunch boxes that give you a few selections, salad with a banh mi and a spring roll for example
Best spring rolls I've ever had. Wrap with the lettuce and dunk in fish sauce for full effect. However, customer service is lower than average. They prioritise UberEats orders over in store customers. The food is so good though that I keep coming back..
