Toasta & Co was a cute little establishment serving all sorts of toast. We ordered Shane and Brekky toasts with a side of spicy popcorn cauliflower. Shane was a chicken schnitzel style toast which I found quite tasty but a bit dry. Brekky was nice and balanced with its cheese blend, bacon and relish. Spicy popcorn cauliflower was flavourful, and, well, spicy, but a little too oily for my liking. Coffee was great. Service was friendly. Ambiance was cosy and chill with minimalist decor and modern graffiti on their walls.
Had the vegan Mack Daddy toastie ($19), which was seriously delicious but needed some more pulled jackfruit. It was more of a smear than a good layer of it, which was unfortunate because this toastie was otherwise incredible. Love the laidback vibe and friendly staff. Whenever I can next justify spending close to $20 on a toastie, I'm sure to come back.
The Chad was soo yummy, chilli scramble in a toasty is the way to go! Super fast service, massive serving and great value for money! Can’t wait to come back and try another menu item 😍
After convincing my girlfriend that Zomato rated this place highly and that we were walking away from the heart of Melbourne into what was a more industrial area the pressure was on for Toastas to deliver. In two words ‘Nailed it’. Delicious toasted sandwiches, great vibe and friendly staff. Girlfriend was one over and I’m chalking this up as a massive win. Highly recommended!

Located in West Melbourne, Toasta and Co Café is a trendy and popular eating establishment which offers an extensive range of toasties and bowls as well as great coffee, alcohol and more! Toasta and Co originally begun as a food truck also serving toasties but due to the success, they expanded into a second food truck specialising in schnitzel and now, we have Toast and Co café.
We had the Mac which came with cheese blend, Mac n cheese and caramelised onions with truffle oil, the Reuben which came with cheese blend, pastrami, dill pickle sauerkraut, and whole grain mustard and finally, the Buffy which came with cheese blend, buffalo chicken schnitzel, house slaw, blue cheese mayo and celery salt.
The toasties were phenomenal! I don’t think I’ve eaten better toasties in Melbourne… They were crunchy, cheesy and served hot and they were a great portion size and so we definitely left feeling satisfied. Our favourite was definitely The Mac. The pastrami was absolutely delicious - fresh, rich and seasoned perfectly.
Also to mention, Toasta is extremely accommodating to people with dietary requirements including a separate menu for those who are vegan!
We had such a lovely time at Toasta and I’d definitely recommend checking this place out!

FOOD: I ordered the ‘Mollie’ and the ‘Schnitzel Cheeseburger’. Both items were absolutely delicious and done so perfectly! The Mollie was a truffle mushroom cheese sandwich and it may sound simple but honestly, nothing is more satisfying than when a sandwich is done well and with amazingly fresh ingredients! Everything from the bread to the cheese and the mushrooms were perfect in every single aspect possible and I was so so pleasantly surprised at how much I LOVED the dish! The Schnitzel Cheeseburger was delicious and the pretzel bun was a unique touch to the burger and the schnitzel was done deliciously! Toasta & Co truly impressed me with how delicious and comforting their food is. It isn’t exaggerated but it also is done so well!
This place really knows how to do a good vegan toastie!
The Mac and cheese with pulled jackfruit toastie was so cheesy, I could hardly tell it was even plant based!
Especially impressed the the ‘cheese blend’ they used for the Mac and cheese.
The thick cut bread was crusty, and the cafe itself is cute and funky.
Can’t wait to come back and try more!
I was fortunate enough to attend a vegan menu launch event recently at Toasta & Co and I was highly impressed.
Starting out as a food truck, Toasta & Co now have a store front located in West Melbourne offering an extensive range of toastas and vegan toastas.
I couldn’t go past the vegan ‘Mack Daddy’ featuring ‘cheese’ blend, ‘mac ‘n’ cheese’, caramelised onion, bbq sauce and pulled jackfruit. The pulled jackfruit was amazing, it was full of flavour and the texture replicated meat. The flavours all worked beautifully together and the vegan ‘cheese’ tasted like cheese.
To drink I had the peanut smoothie which when combined the toastie provided a hearty and satisfying meal.
Normally when it comes to things like this I tend to steer clear of vegan options but this event has changed my mind. Overall I highly enjoyed my meal at Toasta and recommend you check out the vegan options. I rate Toasta ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5. Thanks very much for having me.
I've been a fan of their Toasta truck for years - so it's taken me a very long time to make it to their shop front.
So I'm already a huge fan of their toasties, but on this occasion I was asked to try their new vegan menu. Their vegan menu is quite extensive which is already impressive on the offset. It doesn't feel like an afterthought or an obligation.
For a non-vegan like myself, I was impressed by the Vegan Jackie, which uses pulled jackfruit as their meat alternative. Vegan 'cheese' is very close to the real thing so all in all I was very satisfied. I wouldn't be mad if I had this again.
The vegans and vegetarians that were there were impressed by the options there. Toasta will always be the best toasties, but with their dietary inclusive menu - it's just that bit better.

I love love love the Toasties here! Plus the vibe and décor is just so COOL.
Lately the vegan range has increased to like, 10 different vegan toasties. So impressive.
I tried the classic Ham, Cheese, Tomato which was great! Plus, the 'Buffy' which has a 'chicken' schnitzel inside. SO filling, so yummy!
I am KEEN AF to go back and try some of the other vegan options including the smoothies and pretzel burgers!
I visited Toasta the other day for a menu launch and it was amazing! From the venue to the staff to the food, the whole experience was great! The staff were absolutely lovely and made sure all the food was perfect! It's great for laid back lunches in the city. I mean, who doesn't love a toastie!? There are great vegan options too.
The only reason it didn't reach a 5 star was that It's a very casual place and the decor/plates were very low key + my bread was slightly dry!
If you're thinking you could just make a toastie at home, think again because this was one of the best toasties I think I've ever eaten! Definitely one for your next cheat day because the bread is soooooo lovely and buttery!
So many options on the menu but I went for the classic ham, cheese and tomato, called "The Harry" and it was incredible. Quality ham and cheese and despite looking on the thin side, it was very filling. Loved the cake window inside as well, quite a few treats I had my eye on.
100% will be stopping by next time I'm in the area, these sandwiches are phenomenal!!

I love the toasties at toasta and co. I was very sad when they took the pulled pork toastie off the menu as it was my favourite! These are obviously only to be eaten as a treat as the cheesiness is not super healthy but I loved every bite! Just wished there were more options!

Hands down the best toastie in town. Buffalo is an absolute must try - blue cheese mayo just brings so much flavour, and the bread is perfectly toasted.

Such a cool concept for a food venue, Toasta makes the yummiest toasties in a cool little corner location. Often packed full of customers lining up for some cheesey goodness, Toasta is extremely popular for good reason.
With a cosy decor and friendly customer service, this is a cool place to come for a quick lunch or snack. With delicious filling combinations and fresh bread, the toasties here are amazing. Taking a simple concept and elevating it to another level; who would have thought the simple toastie could be so good?

I found Toasta & Co after a local place stopped making mac and cheese jaffles that I was bonkers for. My partner and I were staying nearby so I was keen try their version. Ordered a latte and smoothie which were both really nice. My sandwich lived up to my expectations. I can’t wait until I can go back and have it again

I had the potato gems - which was a total gem! Musssttt have with the Jalepeno and Coriander dip. I did have the Molly which is a must have for Mushroom lovers and the Maria is a must have for someone who adores Mexican.
Finally, the Bannoffee Melt did melt my heart. That food satisfaction is at another level in Toasta !!!
When I've heard of toasted bread with cheese I wasn't very excited but surprise! It's actually pretty damn good. A quite simple idea turned into something so tasty. The bread is super crunchy and flavorful. Heaps of cheese inside and it just tastes really good! I will definitely be coming back here to try a few other variations of their toast!

Came here today with my partner for the first time. I had the Hannah, it was amazing. This place was perfect for a day that was cold and raining. I’ll definitely come back and try other items on the menu.
Prices might be a bit high for toasted bread... but dont be fooled and think melted plastic cheese on a slice of woolworths bread in the microwave like you used to do when you were young and poor. Toasta has turned a simple idea and turned it so Awesome (yes thats awesome with a capital A) that it might as well be the 100th member of the Avengers.
Regardless of what sliced bread is involved, each has a satisfying crunch as you bight into it and move your K9s into the delecatable, soft, warm centre where your taste buds sing for joy.
Service must get a mention here because the team is so friendly they make hippies look like Voldemort.
We give Toasta a 4/5 stars.

Been here years ago and went back today for a quick lunch fix. You know the burger is good when I forgot to take a photo and only remembered half way through.
Had the schnitzel burger and a apple guava juice. Very yummy burger. Could get quite busy at lunch rush so the wait was a little bit long for a joint like this. But its so worth the wait! Service was very friendly and the seat in the window is great for a beautiful day like today!

Toasta and co is located in West Melbourne just on the edge of the city.. this unique little cafe has some nice and colorful decor.. as the name suggests there was a number of choices of toast.. we had the Croque Monsieur and coffees..
The grilled cheese was delightful and was grilled to perfection the coffees were decent..
When passing by the cafe there were a number of food trucks parked outside that belonged to the restaurant.. Definitely some place to come back..

A very strange location but away full in the morning and lunchtime. You even cannot know where are they come from. The best choice in the hottest day is ice latte and a Brekky. Nice Toast with rich flavor and delicious bacon and egg is simple but amazing. I really enjoy this toast and coffee.
If you dream of toasties, this is the place to go. Shared the croque madam, Carlos, and Mack daddy and all were delicious, though the Mack daddy was my personal favourite. Will be going back to try the other toasties for sure!!

Absolutely love coming here for their food! I (Nic) will often grab a standard cafe meal whilst Zoe will grab sandwiches.
Coffee by Proud Mary which is always a plus.
I would give a solid five but consistency of coffee quality (barista) makes me feel as if they may not be taking as much care as they could in ensuring each cup is extracted properly.
Never would have thought I would drop nearly $20 for a toasted sanga and actually be ok with it. The bread was thick yet soft and crunchy which is what makes these things so nice. The coffee was just as you’d expect it to be and the atmosphere is great. The options in this place are a little bit limited but you could certainly find something for everyone here. We also tried the scrambled eggs and a side of fries which didn’t disappoint either. All in all it’s a great place to indulge in some carbs. For me though it’s somewhere I’ll think of fondly but never go back to. It’s great to try something new but to me at the end of the day it’s still just a $20 toasted sanga. Definitely try this place and see for yourself though
Quite pricey but absolutely delicious! Preferred the molly over the mac daddy. Shake was a little on the icier side. Wait was long but all worth it. Ambience was nice. Staff was friendly.

Drove by this place a couple of times and decided to drop by one day. Ordered a Mack and a Latte. The Mack got cold (we should’ve had it immediately as it was cold out, our fault 😅), but it was still filling and well seasoned. Can’t say much about the coffee though as I only had one sip.
I’m not even mad I paid $17 for a toasted sandwich because it’s got to be easily *Drakes voice* the best I’ve ever had. I’ll be dreaming about this toastie. Do try the Molly (recommend adding tomato to it too), it won’t disappoint.
I had brunch here on a Sunday morning and the food was amazing. I got the Shane toastie and I cannot fault it. It was everything you want in a toasted sandwich. Perfectly cheesy, with crispy schnitzel and balanced with pickles. The coffee was also good as were the sides. I will definitely be returning to try more of their menu!
Discovered this place via an EatClub 50% off promo. I'm glad we did. They have the best music playlist out of any cafe I have been to in Australia (Arctic Monkeys, Cribs, Fratellis, Strokes, Courteeners, Vaccines etc). It made our experience very enjoyable. Mushroom toastie was amazing (the Molly I believe) and Croque Mon was ok (a bit too cheesy for mine). Coffees were great (they use Bonsoy which helps). Woyld never have discovered this without EatClub. Will return. Highly recommended.

A great spot for a weekend breakfast or a great cheesy toastie grilled to perfection if you're feeling a little hungry. Located on a quiet street corner (at least on weekends) with some outdoor seating albeit a little unstable is a nice spot to waste an hour. The coffee is good and the toasties really are great and the cheese melted and grilled with heaps of flavour... and heaps of calories too! We also tried the potato gems, just great! It can get busy and trying to secure a couple of chairs can be difficult but it really is worth a visit.
Pros: the toasties were scrumptious! Cheese melted to perfection, very flavourful! Definitely reccomend the Molly with the ham, spinach and mushrooms (not to mention the truffle oil.. that gave the toastie that extra something I tell ya). Ordered the crumbed schnitzel toastie also thinking it'd just be an average normal schnitz but it was seasoned very nicely and juicy. Potato gems added to the crunch heaven and was cooked to perfection also. Definitely will be back to try other toasties!
Cons: during peak times there may not be seats available as this place is small with limited seats. Toasties and potato gems were a tad too oily but nothing too bad :)
Ordered ubereats to work at lunch, food was prepared really quickly and delivered hot! We ordered a mixture of toasties and chips. We tried the molly, the Jane, and the Hannah. The Hannah was a tasty beast! All of them had great flavours and hot gooey stringy cheese, the bread was crisp and toasted well. Gluten free bread was great too! The thing that let it down for me was the chips cheese and gravy. The gravy was nearly non existent. Will order toasties from here again definitely and maybe I’ll just stick to plain or sweet potato chips. Everyone enjoyed their toasties!
The toasties here are amazing! We tried The Mack which is perfect if you're craving some comfort food - deliciously creamy cheese mac is sandwiched between perfectly toasted cheese toast. The chili scrambled eggs were also good. Service was friendly and polite. We'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
A cute, quaint place. I had the vegan Molly (Points for Vegan options!) which was the perfect amount of crispy and cheesy. Friendly service and a nice vibe about the cafe. A little on the pricier side but they do have top quality ingredients. I’ll be back again if I find myself in the area.

Ordered through uber eats. Driver screwed up meaning I didn't get my toasty as hot as it should have been. But boy, was it delicious. I got the Brekky toastie with egg, rocket, relish and bacon and it was superb. The crust was buttery and crispy and the fillings well cooked and seasoned. Wishing this was closer to me
The cafe wasn't very crowded on Sunday at 11:30. Our orders took a bit longer than expected, I think because they get a lot of delivery orders. My croque monsieur ($14) was incredible! It's really filling and so flavorful. My friend enjoyed his Bree Toastie, as well. If you wanna splurge money and calories on a toastie, eat here!

It's not hard to make a toasted sandwich. Even the most culinary challenged could whip up a fairly decent toastie. But Toasta & Co do something differently that makes spending $13 on a toastie seem like a bargain.
That loaded, melty cheese combined with the perfect crunchy yet buttery sourdough. It is something I am yet to experience elsewhere. Stuff it with your favourite fillings and you have got yourself a toasted sandwich carved by the gods.
I live in Brisbane, so maybe it's the hard-to-get aspect that makes these toasties so desirable. But I will say, when I do fly down to Melbourne a Toasta & Co toastie is always on my to-do list.
Let me finish this by saying, I eat a lot of toasted sandwiches... but Toasta & Co is always the best.

The Toasta food truck has been delivering toasties full of tasty, top quality ingredients into our eager hands, and have now opened a brick-and-mortar store in North Melbourne.
Excited to find this little cafe hidden amongst the back streets of West Melbourne. Who doesn't love a good toastie?? Went during their extended hours on a lazy Sunday to thankfully find the place quiet. We tried the brekky toastie, the Harry and the Mac Daddy. A bit of a wait for the order, which tells me they are obviously made to order and fresh!! The bread was excellent, perfectly toasted and thick with just the right amount of butter. The Mac Daddy(with the additional pork) was a big let down. Dare I say the Mac and cheese was quite bland and there was not much pulled pork in it at all! The Harry was the best-not much to fault! An abundance of ham, good cheese and tomato. If you try this place, this is the toastie to get!
Love this place with its quiet corner position, an abundance of outdoor seating and well away from busy Spencer Street. A cafe the specialises in toasties is a great concept. I ordered the 'Harry' which comprises of cheese, shaved ham and tomato and for an extra dollar added caramelised onion. I looked down at the menu and noticed for another dollar I could have it cooked in ducks fat, why not as still only $12 with the extras. All up tasted really good and the bread is organic sourdough. No complaints here
I've had my fair share of homemade toasties. So I thought Ill be surprised if you can do better then what I have made myself. I decided to order the Tommy toastie. This was so surprisingly good with kale pesto. I was very surprised. It had the perfect balance of flavours and crunch. And the serving size was perfect.
For all those out there who want a new experience with lots of varieties - this is the place to try!
As far as toasted sandwiches go, fair to say they dont get better than this, feeling violently ill from stuffing your face have never felt so good. My first toasta experince was from a food truck at picknic electronic festival in the cbd, and ever since have been chasing the cheese. Keep it up, ill be back
Trading under the name Toasta and Co, the new North Melbourne space is also occupied by fellow food truck Von Crumb Schnitzel Haus. It seems operating in a proper kitchen without the confines of being inside a truck also offers up more wiggle room when it comes to their menu, with several new toastie variants joining old favourites.
Cheese and bread, is there anything better?! This new toasted sandwich and schnitzel joint in a quiet street of North-West Melbourne is from a team behind food trucks of the same name. The food is awesome.
Most sandwiches and burgers are between $12-14. Absolutely worth it. The Mac and cheese toastie with caramelised onion was delicious and crispy. We also loved the poutine schnitzel (with gravy and chips) in a bagel bread roll. Vegetarians and vegans are well catered for with eggplant schnitzels on offer that taste amazing. They are thinly sliced to give them a tasty crunch. The herbed Mayo with spicy sauce and rocket was delicious.
Coffee is nice and served in bright yellow cups that match the venue. Indie seating is quite limited but there is plenty of big tables outside. Really cute place and we are looking forward to going again.

I'm not sure where else in Melbourne would anyone get grilled cheese cooked in duck fat apart from Toasta & Co. Insane. This place uses good quality organic sourdough from Zeally Bay, which means the grilled exterior is crispy while the doughy insides provide a nice chew to the sandwiches. My favourite is the Tommy with classic cheese blend, tomato, and kale cashew pesto - simple enough to retain the salty and pully cheese, and interesting enough with the pesto flavour. I also like their more renowned sandwiches such as Natty Jean (grilled veggies) and Rami (Gorgonzola and pastrami), however, flavours got a bit crowded. The fillings were substantial in those, but turned a bit too over the top after a while. I enjoy the finishing smear of sea salt flakes on all toasties, though! To pay more than $10 for a sandwich and an additional $1 to be cooked in duck fat is a tad steep but... It's delicious. Amazing toasties served here and I find that Toasta & Co. is a place I'd keep coming back to. Love that this place uses Zeally Bay sourdough bread and customers have the option to have the toasters cooked in duck fat - AMAZING. It truly makes a difference and you'd be silly not to opt for the extra crisp! As mentioned $10+ for a cheese sandwich may be a bit hefty, but trust me it's well worth it especially with the Zeally Bay sourdough!
This place rocks. I discovered Toasta & Co through UberEATS, and have been ordering from them ever since. My go to is the 'MACK' cheese blend and mac and cheese. The sandwich is big and filling and absolutely delicious, cannot fault it. Definitely recommend!!
Stumbled upon this quaint toastie cafe in West Melbourne. Really excited to try some cheesy toast cause really who doesn't like cheesy toasts? It was so rich and filled with cheesy goodness I am still trying to unclog my arteries. The bread was so rich and crispy. I had tye Brekky so the egg cheese and relish was yum (pulled out the bacon, not a bacon person). It's a good guilty pleasure!
Visited on a Friday about lunch hour. Not super busy, ordered right away, however waited about 20 or so mins for the two toasties we ordered. (The Greg + extras & the Special). I think the novelty of how the toasties look in photos and how they sound on the menu are a little better this how they taste....They do look amazing so I guess that means they tasted pretty good. They are not what you'd expect from a place that only does them as a specialty though, you're left kinda wanting a bit more. It's not an experience you'd rush back for I didn't think. Good, not great.

Pictures almost don't justify how huge and filling these sangas were. I could probably just share 1 toasty because it was that filling. Funnily enough I think these guys serve the best hangover food to the point that I almost felt hungover after I finished eating. All components of great toasted sanga was present. Melted cheese ✅ toasty crust ✅ well seasoned ✅
Don't know when I'll be popping back in but their pretzel bun sangas are something I look forward to trying. Soon I hope.

Lovers of toasties, we have a cheesy announcement. The beloved Toasta Food Truck has swapped its wheels, for a permanent store. Toasta & Co opens in West Melbourne to squirts of Sriracha and hunks of Mac & cheese. Known for chauffeuring decadent toasties around town, it’s about time Melbourne’s favourite toastie maker, has a place to call home. Owner Rebecca Feingold understands the art to a perfect toastie. Ironically, she studied nutrition, but she’s joined the dark side now. You can say goodbye to your waistline and admire strings of melted cheese, buttered organic sourdough or smokey barbeque sauce. The little sister Von Crumb joins the party, with crumbed schnitzels in pretzel buns, soaked in poutine. It’s one party you don’t want to miss.
I don't know about you, but there is something about a toasted sandwich that makes you feel good. Is it the buttery crisp coating, or is it the gooey melted cheese on the inside?. A simple yet fullfilling delight that you would never turn your face to, if it was served to you by even the worst cook you know.

We have a tradition of toastie Saturday in our household, so had to try these out.
They got some great toasties to choose from and will cater for most people.
Had the fries and gravy. Not bad, but feel gravy goes much better with thick chips. Gravy was great though.
Highlight for me though was the Viet schnitzel. Gonna try out the other schnitzel choices next time I go.

Toasta & co have recently opened their first store in West Melbourne which is the love child of two food trucks you know and love, toasta and von crumb. Von crumb make super crunchy crumbed schnitzel burgers in pretzel buns and the toasta food truck make cheese toasties. And not just any toasties, hands down the best toasties in Melbourne. They have a delicious oozy filling, crispy grilled cheese edges and a sprinkle of sea salt on top, which makes all the difference. Toastie perfection I say.

We had the Mack Daddy which had Cheese, mac and cheese, pulled pork, caramelised onion and BBQ sauce and also the Poutine in a Scnitty pretzel bun with shoestring fries, gravy and shredded cheese!!!

After a couple of quotes we decided to go with The Cart Co for our end of year Christmas Function for 4 hours of Beer, Wine & Spirits.
The service leading up to the event was very helpful and easily contactable which made it very easy for us to plan the event.
On the day the girls were on time and the service was brilliant.
The selection of drinks was outstanding and I have to say The Cart looked absolutely adorable on the day!
We would definitely use again for a work function and will remember the name for any private function I was to ever have. Very Impressive!
