We came here as recommended by our friends. OMG we found a hidden gems for sure! The crepe was fantastic. Best crepe I ever had. You need to come and tru ot yourself!
Staff were friendly and efficient, cosy decor, lovely ambient atmosphere and the food was delicious and beautifully presented :)

This new creperie has a pretty relaxed and warm vibe. Staff were friendly and efficient. I had “the beast” and it was loaded with fresh ingredients, nicely balanced and affordable. The crepe itself was well cooked - soft inside but just a little crisp outside. The place wasn’t big so filled up quickly during lunch. A great little spot for lunch tucked away in this little alley.
What a sweet little cafe. It's a nice, refreshing alternative to more contemporary options in the area if you're looking for someplace low maintenance. They have a range of vegetation crepes (sweet and savoury) as well as soy and almond milk.
Nice little creperie located in the alley next to purple peanuts cafe.. this place has a warm and cozy vibe to it and staff were pretty friendly.. we had the breakfast special which was a steal.. you get a coffee with a crepe for $6.50..
Coffee was decent and the selection of crepes were quite extensive..
The crepe we tried was a bacon basil crepe and a lemon sugar crepe.. the savoury crepe was pretty good however the lemon sugar crepe was a bit too “lemony”.. they also had a good selection of French music playing in the background..

Very cosy and inexpensive Creperie with excellent service. Try to go once or twice a month - recommend the Chairman (Peking Duck crepe) and the Apple and Cinnamon crepe for dessert. The wine is on happy hour prices with healthy pourings! Totally recommend this place.
I watched them make the crepes in the window before my eyes and the way they drizzle all the nutella on it - mmmm!! makes it all that yummier. Was very hot after being made and nice and fresh! Love it!
A delightful hole in the wall in a grubby little Melbourne laneway. Choix Creperie was a very pleasant find. Excellent food, exception value and friendly service.
I love going to Choix drinking coffee and eating crepes. I've even been known to take a day of annual leave to enjoy Choix (coz I no longer work in the CBD). Over the last week I went to Choix and … new owners. Take a breath … it's still great food/coffee (or tea). But … Choix is now open 7 days a week and they now have eftpos! Woo hoo! Plus, over the next couple of weeks they'll be serving dinner. Win, win, win, win. Here I come on weekends, regularly!

My order was taken w/o delay. I ordered the breakfast special of a crepe and a coffee for $6.50. Fantastic value.
My crepe was ham cheese and tomato and after my first bite I knew I was into a winner. Wow.
The crepe was light, buttery and sooo tasty. The rest Of the ingredients were spot on.
The service was quick which was perfect for an early morning breakfast. The coffee was good with an earthy flavour and a great start to my morning. Woo hoo hahaha
And I like the tables w bench seats and the stools on the bar. Reminds me of Paris. I think I've found my new regular.

Ah this place brings back so many memorable banter between the two guys behind the counter, and they can make awesome crepes too! They have this coffee and crepes deal in the morning which I think is great value, my favourite is the nuttela crepes. Simple and delish!
How good are the crepes here? That question it rhetorical as I will answer quite succinctly for a change. Savoury crepes are great here. The flavour you get from a bit of seasoning and a few well chosen ingredients is amazing. This time I had a combination of ham, brie and asparagus and it was sooooo good.
They have quite the sweet and savoury menu to work through so suggest you get onto it.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that The Dear Luncher has walked past Choix a thousand times. That little walkway/lane has largely acted as a shortcut over the years. Do you want to know what should not be seen as a shortcut, or easy way out? The Choix breakfast deal. Having now experienced this The Dear Luncher cannot believe he hasn’t noticed this until now. $6 get you a crepe of your choice and a coffee. And it’s not some half-crepe or mini-crepe. It’s a proper sized one. The Dear Luncher enjoyed with gusto, his ham, cheese and tomato crepe. The long macchiato was not at the knock your socks off level, but it was certainly good enough. It’s the CHOIX of a new generation.

Very cheap food here! Owner was very friendly and served up the food really quickly. Nice interior, a bit small but I reckon that made it extra cosy. Great for breakfast.
This place makes my morning. I have been coming here for quiet some time and it was about time I share my experience. There is nothing better than tasting some of the best crepes going around and I tell you what, this lads make some mean coffee as well. Even though it is not the biggest place, Jose and Franco make sure that they are on top of your order, always greet you and make sure you feel welcome even during some chaotic mornings! If you are looking for place for breakfast before work, or want to pop in for lunch you can't go wrong with Choix. Oh, and they play some very cool tunes too! Ps. These lads are football (soccer) enthusiasts, alway happy to talk anything about the world game.

Great crepes as you would expect at this quaint cafe in a dark laneway. Coffee is quite good but not the best in the area. Perfect as a central breakfast meetup near the station.
I have been working in this area for the last 4 years and in my opinion, hands down, Choix is the best coffee joint around Southern Cross train station. I have been a local since then.
I believe what sets them apart is the food, although coffee is consistently good.
francesco (one of the owners) cooks everything from scratch, the menu is not huge but the quality of the ingredients (e.g. fruit bread, sourdough...) speak for themselves and Francesco is a hell of a talented cook (no frills in his dishes but impeccable flavours).
I highly recommend anything that contains his tomato sauce, the talleggio and mushroom crepe and their toast. Even a humble PB toast, tastes amazing when the bread is great and the qty of PB is right.
Had a Jam Crepe and a coffee for brekkie which was really nice although I thought there was too much jam with the crepe and the addition of generous icing sugar just made it too sweet. Friendly service and beautiful music.
Great little place tucked away in an alley. Cash only, FYI. Ordered the salmon crepe and the Bella. Crispy crepe and generous amount of quality ingredients. Relaxed atmosphere with comfortable seating. All around great place.
Many appear not very complimentary of Choix but the Swine likes this place. While located in a dark laneway, this place is quirky and individual. It has a good range of crepes - sweet and savory. The Lemon and Sugar crepe is a good value for money option that hits the spot. Other side of the coin - Coffee here isn't very good. Staff might not be the most personable but sometimes you dont want staff to be all over you - just attentive. The Swine says give Choix a go.
The fact I pay 6$ for a large slice of toast with avocado with salmon and egg is amazing! There is a burger place a few doors down that charged me 22$ for the exact same thing! Your venue is a bargain! So is your food! And the lovely staff know how to not make you feel guilty for getting 2 toasted 3 cheese sandwiches in one day! Well done! Ps I would like to grow old with your Crepes, they're delicious!
Please let the stocky man who is either French or Italian! that I enjoy his sense of humour and that he shouldn't change!
The pot looked really big but it wasn't filled all the way.
The crepe itself is soft and delicate, and a little crispy on the very edge (which I like). My first mouthful is a little disappointing - the ham and asparagus are cold and the cheese hasn't melted yet. But by the second bite. The warmth of the crepe has heated up the filling and the brie is soft and oozy. Perfect.
This place is a French Cafe which is known for their crepes and has an interesting feel with wooden benches lining the wall. There seemed to be quite a steady crowd of people flowing in and out and they all seemed to be on a first name basis with the owners. I ordered ‘The Sexy’ and it was absolutely yum!
Spag Bol pancake. I staggered to Choix at mid-arvo, half-dazed from poor sleep after working a 12-hour graveyard shift the night before. The good crepe and coffee I had here snapped me out of it enough so I didn't walk in front of a tram on Collins. I had a "Luca" crepe, which is Bolognese sauce and mozzarella inside a crepe. The crepe was as fresh as you'd expect, and in this hole-in-the-laneway, the griddle is up front so you can watch yours getting flipped off. The sauce was thick with mince and tasty -- better than what I've had on pasta on Lygon Street. I was amazed at the amount of cheese the cook tossed on top of the Bolognese. I've had medium pizzas with less mozzarella. For $9.90, this was a hefty, filling crepe. The flat white they served up was up to Melbourne standards too. I rate Choix as amongst the Top 10 creperies I've been to. Including the ones I've been to in France.
Great service, great coffee, great price. A hidden gem, it's a really cute place in a dreary part of town, and if you visit more than once they'll know your coffee order by heart. Love this place :)
Want a decently priced coffee and crepe? These guys are it. Don't be deterred by the Italian stallion and friends with guns as big as your head, they know how to make a mean crepe. Get the aptly named 'KD Lang' - made fresh in front of you to order!
Delicious !!!. The crepes are soooooo good.. the chicken in the parma is really well cooked..& there are so many options to choose from that will have you going back for more... For dessert.. The sexy .. is the way to go... white chocolate & strawberries... what's not to love??

Great crepes, friendly service and terrific place to escape for breakfast, away from it all.
The staff make the visit!. Choix is a quirky and fun place any time of the day - hidden down a lane off Collins St. The coffee is great (we leave our own building cafe to come to Choix). The boys make the visit, warmly welcoming you and singing along to the music! Make sure you come by on Friday for "Fancy Friday's" when we're all in jeans, they've got the ties on! Best sandwich = Chicken Schinztel, Best Crepe = Luca and the simple avocado on toast is YUM. Make sure you drop by and say hi to the boys, you won't be disappointed.
Best in the area. To be honest the choice of restaurants at the Spencer St end of the city is kind of poxy, I'd rather get a tram down to South Melbourne or up to Chinatown and meet my friend for lunch.
A friend works here during the week so I would always walk past and wave even if I wasn't stopping in for lunch. I went there once every couple of weeks for lunch and at least once a week for a hot chocolate and a breakfast crepe (Swiss cheese, egg and bacon) and even had my birthday lunch there last year.
I have also had lunch with my parents there several times as it was close to work and had good coffee and served tea in an actual teapot.
I hadn't really been there for drinks after work, but I still know someone who works in the same building as I did who goes there regularly. Is cheap compared to other bars in the CBD for spirits.
Scrunch up there, stranger!. Reliably good crépes and coffee would be sufficient to distinguish this cinder-block hole-in-the-wall from its unimaginative neighbours, if it wasn't also for the welcoming, charismatic staff who end each week wearing 70's ties in an ironic nod to casual Fridays. Be prepare to share a bench with other diners in a friendly atmosphere. Licensed for an after work cheeky one or two.
Cute cafe but very busy at lunchtime. Me a friend there during out work lunch breaks. Tucked away in a little alleyway, and was packed. Menu consists mostly of the crepes. We both had the fun guy crepe filled with mushrooms and tallegio cheese. Delicious, very well made. Very affordable (about $10) and filling. Quite noisy and cramped though.
The guys here are ace & make fantastic real food with best ingredients. The coffee is just as fine. Have the BLT crepe, you won't regret it.
Liberation of Choix-ziland. Since being taken over by a couple of revolutionaries in a bloodless coup a few years back, this tiny hamlet has become a highly sought sanctuary for hungry exiles.
The crepes are its signature, but Choix has a vast array of alternatives on its democratic menu.
Even thought the food may speak for itself, the staff are more than happy to engage in healthy conversation and debate... Highly recommended
