The images and rating in this review are from 3 years ago, so things may have changed since then. My experience then was that it was expensive for what you get. It was more around the experience than anything. The staff were friendly.

I enjoyed my first tepanyaki in Melbourne. The service is lovely and I am amazed how a simple dish turned into a extravagant meal. I liked watching how the chef cooked the food with a bit of show especially lighting up the steak with to create a hot flaming fire. I also loved the sticky rice dessert

This is a mid range teppanyaki place suitable for groups of of up to 10 people with a reasonable atmosphere and fantastic wine list. Parking is relatively easy at Southgate. I would highly recommend this Japanese restaurant. It was absolutely beautiful. The service was really great and staff were lovely. The place has a lovely atmosphere about it. We ordered the Ume tasting platter and it was divine. I will definitely be going back and sooner rather than later.
