Happy to report that the quality of food at melbourne central Schnitz is consistent with all their other stores. Service was always friendly despite the lunch crowd. Went for the plain and simple ($10.9) loved the massive portions and the schnitzel was still crunchy and had equal ratio of crumbs and chicken. The mayo went super well with the schnitzel. Will always be a fan!!
If you’re a picky eater you’ll definitely love this place. A simple chicken schnitzel (choose spicy crumbs) and chips (make sure to get the sweet potato one!!!) its delicious but pretty basic
Love Schnitz! I ordered the Basic Instinct wrap and Sweet Potato fries last night for a quick dinner on the way home. The crumbed chicken was super crunchy, and the portion size is great!
I'm so glad they've added sweet potato fries to the menu as I'm a big fan of them haha. These didn't disappoint! They were very crunchy, although would still be nice with less salt.
The food also came out really quickly - definitely recommend for a quick lunch or dinner out!
We attended a wedding nearby and had a two hour break post the church and given we were quite hungry called in to Schnitz. I’ve never had the actual plated Parma here before but I was surprised it’s actually more cost efficient than the roll my husband got. Either way both are enjoyable and the chips were also very delicious. Super filling too wasn’t remotely hungry when the meals got served at the reception

Schnitz is only good when it is done right. At the crown casino branch, it was undercooked and oily. This branch was great. The crumbled chicken was crunchy and hot. The chips were really delicious and addictive too.
I wanted to try their new gravy. It is pretty good. But what made the experience was that the staff were very nice! The gravy that I ordered was taking too long to make after they ran out. But the staff member very apologetic and very nice about it. Definitely recommend!
Yes, it's fast food and quite greasy but Schnitz make pretty good chicken schnitzels at a price that bumps them up from 3.5 to 4* in my view. The schnitzels are tasty, cooked fresh and consistently good. Better than some restaurant snap frozen versions.
One of the best chips in the world! The chips were coated in some seasonings that I don't know, probably some chicken salt as well. But it tasted delicious and I could not stop eating it. The Schnitzel wrap was also delicious. May be a bit pricey, but the chip is gonna be worth it.

E: Plain and Simple was the name of the wrap I ordered. In honour of this, to keep things actually plain and simple, Schnitz is ALWAYS a good choice.
The wrap was delicious, juicy and absolutely undoubtably fresh. The vegetables were also crispy, perfectly ripe & fresh. If there's anything negative to add, it's the overkill of mayo that was in both myself and my friends burger, but I'll look past it this time. Some may call me out on the placebo here, but there's something about the pan-fry of Schnitz' schnitzels that also hints at a slightly healthier feel - but I'm really not sure if I'm trying to convince you or me.
That hypothesis is counteracted regardless as the Schnitz chips are a gift sent from the heavens - AN ABSOLUTE MUST TRY. Perfectly golden, always crispy and coated in one of the greatest chicken salts known to mankind.
To wrap it up, the wrap's an up.
Side note: Schnitz also has an amazing range of dipping sauces to choose from. I'll never forget this, as I will also never forget Kevin's face on our first date when I totally disregarded this amazing selection of condiments and opted for ketchup. He almost had to reconsider his choice of gal as well as choice of sauce hehe.

Schnitz was an overrall great expierence. I wasn't expecting the best, but I was pleasantly suprised. The service at the counter was quick and friendly, and food was served quickly and hot. However the seating area is set out strangely. We sat on the tall concrete tables at the back and the low lighting looked really cool. I believe a bit of music would spice things up a bit, however the acoustics aren't great to support that, or even a coversation when its busy... Overrall I enjoyed the meal but expierence may vary depending where you sit in the seating area.
Another one of my fave fast food to go place! They serve the biggest burgers and wraps! Slight expensive for fast food but u haveee to try their fries! Taste amazingly different!
Simply delicious chips. Nicely seasoned, hot and well cooked. Staff are friendly and upbeat - puts a smile on your face! Can't say it's the best place to eat at, but it's still a good spot for some take away while you're on the go
The store is conveniently located at Melbourne Central foodcourt, where there're plenty of chairs and tables for diners. We have eaten here a few times and their chips were always magnificent. Orders are prepared a little slow compared to Schnitz Chaddy.
I've always loved the quality of food Schnitz offered. The Schnitz sticks have gotten smaller and more expensive, but the last time I was there, I got a parmigiana with thick rashers of bacon on it (much better flavour than ham). The parmigianas aren't too big either, so won't feel bloated after lunch.
Firstly the staff were very friendly... Then comes down to food which was upto the par for me. The chicken schnitzel with coleslaw was so amazing... The seasoning for the fries was very good and not overpowering... Overall it was a very good experience and will return soon
Delicious pan fried schnitzels in rolls or wraps with fresh fillings. This one gets busy at lunch times but is totally worth the wait. Hot tip- more seating available around the back behind the kitchen.
Foody. I went to Schnitz spender outlet and all I can say is that I wil never be returning there anytime soon , first of all the wait is just not acceptable and the friendless of the team members is just unpleasant and owner of store as well .

Great lunch (most of the time). I've had great feeds here and very average ones. Just depends who makes your roll or wrap, sometimes it's just a mess when you try and eat it! Fairly quick considering how busy they always are! A little pricey but worth it when you get a good one.. Chips are amazing and very addictive and the salads they use look and taste a lot better than you would expect to find in a food court!
Some potatoes are born great, others have greatness thrust upon them by becoming a Schnitz chip. It is considered the highest possible honour for a potato to become a Schnitz chip, reserved only for the Martin Luthers and Albert Einsteins of the starch world. Every other pathway a potato can take is considered a failure in comparison, as only a potato that becomes a Schnitz chip has fully reached its true potential.
The schnitzels are not bad too.

I had my first Schnitz last month, and loved it! The Si Señor with the spicy patty is too good. It's usually always busy, but worth the wait.
I had the American Dream wrap sans onion and it was decent enough, worth it more than the equivalent from Burger Edge. Great chips crossed with wedges. Bit on the expensive side if you were wanting a meal including wrap/burger, chips and drink though ($15+), but that's coming from someone who couldn't justify spending that much money on lunch on a regular basis...
My sis had the Plain and simple roll whilst I had the Caesar salad with moroccon chicken fillet. Both were tasty, wholesome and simply delicious!!
A bit pricey imo but worth every bite! Not too sure about the other stuff on the menu though.

Great chips!. Apart from nice schnitz (do'oh!), they serve one of the best chips in town! (a bit oily tho..)
Worth the wait (mostly). Hawaii 5-o with spicy crumb and baby spinach, love it, on the odd occasion the quality is lacking but 9/10 it's hot and fresh. Not the cheapest lunch for a Uni student but it's pretty damn filling.
Good food court food, who knew?. Thai the Knot Schnitzel wrap highly recommended!
Extremely happy to update my review to 5/5! TGIF definitely redeemed themselves. The staff were friendly and active, the food was fast, fresh AND delicious, everyone was extremely happy with their service - Eric especially was fantastic! So glad I got the real TGIF experience, will be back! 👍
Got the Ribs Tuesday half rack pork ribs Fridays TO GO takeaway special. Ordered the Signature Glaze and Spicy Buffalo. Decent size serve with chips and slaw. The ribs were delicious and perfectly cooked. Good deal with the half price special. 20 minutes from online order to collection.
You have to order and pay via your phone, which takes a long time. You have to order drinks separately. Some of our food came out with the wrong items ordered on the plate. They did remake the order. Our drinks did not make it to the table until after we ate. I had to go to the bar and ask for glasses and water while we waited for our main drinks. The food we got was good but overall the dining experience was average.
Friday the 13. Where else to go for lunch. Sat on the balcony and enjoyed the fresh air and the view over Swanston Street. Chicken burger and thin fries. Excellent service and atmosphere.
Really great food and vibe in the whole restaurant. The staff were so lovely and attentive. Definitely also recommend signing up to be a member on the app as they always have discounts and freebies (we got a free brownie). The only issue I had was the pasta we ordered was kinda bland which is weird because I’ve ordered this same pasta from other branches and it’s been amazing. Overall, I had a great time and would recommend checking them out.
