Excellent meal, had the lasagna serving was huge, meat sauce was rich.
The food, service and ambience of this place is amazing. We went here before a night at the Comic’s lounge and it just made the night even more special to have great food served with a smile and without delays. The garlic and cheese bread in particular was the best we have ever had. Well done :)
2nd visit here and will be back for more... great service, friendly... great food, fresh pasta... great serving sizes... if you leave hungry it is your own fault... thanks for confirming you are a great restaurant...

A great dinner spot with a multitude of options – fantastic for dinner before the comedy lounge.
I stumbled upon Errols thanks to the delicious feature of Zomato, Zomato Gold. So not only did we find a great new spot to dine, but we also got to take advantage of the ‘1+1’ feature within Zomato Gold. This cut the price almost in half!

We were in a bit of a rush as we had a booking at the Comedy Lounge. The staff kindly accommodated and got the dishes out quickly so we could eat and make the booking in time.
🍽The Crispy Chicken Bao was delicious! The bread was warm and soft, and the ingredients within it was fresh and crunchy.A great mixture of textures. It came with a side of crispy sweet potato fries too. An all round favourite dish!
🍽We also ordered the salad with Halloumi and Salami. This was a great pairing with the Bao, as it gave us a few greens and vegetables. All that could have made this dish better would be slightly more salad and the option to pour the dressing on ourselves.
I’m really loving finding places like this through Zomato Gold, and would definitely return to try more of the menu options.

Stopped at Errols for a quick lunch befoer getting a hair cut. I ordered the Gnocchi Bolognese and was not disappointed. Got a really generous portion and the meal was super tasty.

Generous portion sizes with an explosion of taste. Down to earth but the apotheosis of modern cuisine. The lamb shanks were to die for and the carbonara was to kill for. Quaint but cultured- Perfect for a first date or a final goodbye. The aroma of pureed sweet potato filled the air with the nostalgia of my sweet childhood on the white sandy beaches of Sorrento. 10/10 would recommend.
This has become our regular when dining in North Melbourne. Went there again today and was greeted with a smile after a bad experience elsewhere. Eggs Benedict and Soy Latte were delicious. It's excellent having breakfast and reading The Age newspaper here. Highly recommended.
I have been a regular diner at Errols over the years and I have never once had a bad experience there. Their dishes are always fresh, hot and satisfying. The wait staff are always friendly and happy to help out with suggestions on trying something new that may be on the menu. The dishes are served promptly and look and taste fantastic. Errols is a great venue to have dinner at with friends before a big night in the city, to grab a coffee and something sweet in the morning or for a lunch time meeting. I highly recommend.
The food is good. I had a steak sandwich and it’s definitely nice. Coffees are good as well but the cake seems too sweet for me. Friendly staffs!!

I ordered the eggs Benedict which were absolutely amazing! Everything was cooked perfectly and there was an added extra of pulled beefed which was tender and just so good.
The staff were great too, our waitress made sure we were well looked after, water was immediately provided for the table and the service was reasonably fast too.
Definately would recommend giving this place a go if you are in the area.

Lovely pub. Inside decor a bit confused. Went there for dinner but interior was more Cafe vibe and most people were getting take away coffees. But once the food came, we were really pleased. The mezze platter was great and very filling, probably the most tender calamari I've ever had. Our rare steaks were seasoned and cooked well. I also highly recommend the mulled wine, sweet, tasty and boozy. Great location with comedy club just across the road.
I honestly don't get the low rating. You can always find a good breakfast in this place. I've been here several times as I live in the area and it never disappoints. I specially recommend the eggs benedict and the Errol's breakfast.

My boyfriend and I come here all the time after we found this place and they never seem to disappoint. We try to order different foods everytime and it’s all still amazing! The staff are well and friendly. Service of food and drinks it at a nice pace. My boyfriend whenever we decide to go out for dinner this is the only place he wants to go, he loves it that much
Wonderful experience. From the moment me and my girlfriend arrived the service from the wait staff was excellent. We ordered a bottle of the Montepulciano D'ambruzzo wine, Prawns in a tomato sauce and a pizza to share from the chef's specials board. Every single part of the meal was fantastic and we would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good Italian food.

I was after takeaway till I saw the window seat! The waitress said this used to be a bank and we're sitting in the vault. I love this space. I'd love to do a photo shoot just in this corner. . We had a matcha chia smoothie, icy like a slushie, a bit light on chia but I liked it. With full cream. Also had a pair of crescent cookies. Butter cookies are simple though wonderful.
I love the location of this place, and the decor is very nice. Great coffee, and their meals and staff are great. The atmosphere here is very friendly, too. I'd recommend It!
Visited for lunch. Had the lasagne, which was quite substantial and tasty. They also had a variety of foccacias. Coffee was also nice. I have been spoilt for quality of late and coming in with high expectations was probably unfortunate for this place. As a quick lunch and coffee I would happily recommend.

I rarely give a 5 star but this place was excellent and nothing to fault. The food was delicious, inventive and generous. The cold drip coffee has such depth of flavour and a sweetness, I was really impressed, it's hard to get right. My dining companion's flat white was excellent. Great big fit out we sat outside, staff were efficient and helpful. For brunch, what more could you want? We used an entertainment voucher, no worries ringing it up. Top marks.
Pretty good mod-aus type dining, nothing fancy although well prepared, large servings and ok atmosphere. Service was a little too casual for my liking, although far from terrible. Worth a try

Top 3 Paella's I have ever had. Fresh and beautifully cooked seafood. Amazing, fluffy and perfect mixture of chicken, vegetables and seafood. My partner had a beef burger and loved it. Great portions. Have half left for lunch today and cannot wait. Can't rave enough. So happy to be living near this place. And for $52 (with 2 amazing tap beers) we couldn't complain. Service was awesome too!
Went to Errols to catch up with a friend. Had a latte and some pizza. The latte was very good, the temperature just right. The pizza was also good, with the right amount of toppings and cheese. It was real ham too, not that processed stuff you usually get. My friend also had pizza and commented that it was quite nice. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant. We ate outside, the heater was on, so it was quite cosy and warm.
Went for an early-morning coffee, was very satisfied. Service was prompt and waitresses were polite. The almond milk cappuccino I ordered was beautifully presented (I wish I'd taken a photo!) and tasted fantastic - it's great to have a cafe this side of Melbourne with baristas who know the proper way to brew and froth almond milk! Other than that, the interior, while being spacious, is quite cozy; I loved being surrounded by the brick-and-wood decor!
Ok I have recently returned to North Melbourne and the gentrification hit me in the face, Errol's cafe i used to avoid because it was a Lamington's and weak coffee kind of establishment. Not any more it is hands down my favourite breakfast joint. With it's sister restaurant Agraba it offers great food with a touch of middle eastern flavour.
Great atmosphere and friendly service. Food very pleasing for the prices and coffee good. Can sometimes be a bit of a wait for food to arrive, but the jazz in the background is enjoyable and not so loud that you can't have a conversation.
Been a few times, and when weather fine it's pleasant to eat out front.
The new errols is great! So happy with the premises, customer service and especially the food! Will be back again very soon! I had the smashed avocado with rocket feta and egg whilst my partner had scrambled eggs with bacon... Amazing!
Two girlfriends and I recently visited for lunch after not wanting to wait in line at Auction Rooms. Am I glad we decided not to wait because Errol's was amazing! The staff were very accommodating, and helpful but not too helpful that we felt swamped. The menu has many items I wanted to pick, which is not normally the case so this was the first tick for me. I decided to go for one of their specials, the fritters with poached egg and crispy pancetta...it was absolutely delicious! My girlfriend had the same, and my other girlfriend had the smashed avo which she said was delish. Coffees were strong, perfect temperature and delish. North Melbourne is a pain to get to from my house but I am dying to get back to Errol's!
Many many moons ago, this place was disappointing and below average. It then went through a menu revamp and renovation. Things have improved tremendously and the crowd has been back since.
The menu is compact - with the traditional entrées, mains, pastas and pizza sections. Though limited, it's more focused and slightly more refined than the usual pub grub. We were quite impressed with the black angus scotch fillet with the bernaise sauce - done just right although I personally would prefer other sauce options if available. Spaghetti with wagyu meat balls was delicious but the lasagna definitely needed more meat sauce. Crispy skinned salmon was okay, as my mother was not particularly impressed with the lemon butter sauce. Personal taste perhaps.
The portion size was okay for the price. Nice ambience with friendly staff. Coffee was surprisingly good for a restaurant!
The breakfast menu looks interesting too. Will definitely give it a go one day!
This is a really nice restaurant with a great atmosphere! The wait staff were lovely, particularly the manager who was very helpful and knowledgable about gluten free options. Loved the decor and the music was sophisticated and mature. Much better than the other restaurants on the street. Well worth the visit!!!

Errols staff welcomed our group of people day and night and were very accommodating for days.

A lovely place - great ambiance and stylish decor. I enjoyed a steak with chips and bernaise sauce (yum!) paired with nice red. They have quite an extensive wine list. My partner had a burger which was very well presented and went down a treat with a Peroni which they have on tap.
Fantastic selection of beers (Australian and foreign) and coffees, great food, classy decor and a lovely atmosphere. I recommended the steak sandwich!
Chance drop in at this cafe where the coffee is surprisingly delicious. On New year's day where auction room is closed this is the next best thing.
Awesome coffee, solid breakfast menu with classic options and some interesting newer creations, great atmosphere and best of all... Actually open on NYD! I will return for sure.

We had the garlic pizza first and all enjoyed the size and taste.
Beth had the pork belly but found it dry.
Adrian had the spaghetti marinara and liked the oil and very nice seafood and spaghetti.
Trevor also had the spaghetti marinara and thought it was a very nice dish.
I had the fish and chips and enjoyed that.
Overall very satisfied.

I used to live in this neighbourhood and Errols was one of my favourite spots not only hanging out with my loved ones, but also a good place to go solo with a book, just sit there quietly and enjoy the meal. The food and coffee is lovely. I like the atmosphere and after the renovation I like it even better. Nowadays I live in the other side of the town but I still like to come back time to time. The staff is friendly too.
Went here for dinner last Friday. Great atmosphere - we ate outside and the music (soft jazz) and the Coburg Lager (on tap), which I tried for the first time, were perfect on a warm night. Staff were very friendly. I had the Crispy Skin Salmon and it was fantastic. Good serving size and presentation.
Great new look for Errols. Love the renovations. We had the lasagne (which has a great red wine sauce) and fetta/pea risotto (which was lovely and creamy). Great service too :)

This was our amazing breakfast when we came to Melbourne for the Royal Melbourne Show, just happen to stumble across this place and oh my god they certainly did not disappoint. We had been recommended to go The Auction Rooms by our hotel because it was walking distance, though it was yummy we wanted to try something different the next morning and only being in the next block was still in walking distance. The staff were very lovely, the food was better than The Auction Room and wish that we went there first because it was truly mouth watering, will definitely go back there again next time I am in Melbourne. YUM!!!!!!!
I've been going to this place for a long time. The coffee is great and the staff are always friendly in the morning. I've tried a few things on the new menu since the renovations (mostly salads - superfood salad, chicken & pear salad) and found it was all pretty nice so far. Will definitely be back again and see what other new things are being rolled out!

As a regular Errol's visitor I am pretty surprised to see the reviews below. Tonight was my first trip back to the restaurant since its renovations, and the job that they have done is just outstanding. The venue looks and feels more open and welcoming, it is well lit and the place was a buzz with happy diners, I was worried for a second that I was going to have to fight for a seat, however the staff quickly got to me, and I was sat in a timely manner. The low playing music in the background adds to the atmosphere and the friendly staff made the night a first rate experience.
My friend and I dined in the patio area which was fitted with heaters and had a cute little herb garden which was a welcome addition to the surrounds, I ordered the Salmon, and a lemon lime bitters and she had the Carbonara accompanied by one of the bars international brews Estrella Damm.
The drinks arrived promptly with a little wait on the food, which was to be expected with the numbers in the venue. When the meals arrived they came together which was nice as so many other Melbourne venues fail on this front. Missing out on the awkward good ahead and eat conversation we both tucked into our food, my salmon was cooked medium (just how I like it) and the potato's where creamy and perfect. The Carbonara was creamy and whilst struggling my friend forced herself over the finish line, because it was just that good!!
Afterwards we shared a Mars Bar Chocolate Cake from the seductive cake cabinet, and with my unrelating sweet tooth my dreams had come true. Accompanied by teas ( again another great range to choose from) we finished up the night by being rung out by one of the new Managers Stephanie. She was friendly and inviting, and split our bill with no arguments. Stephanie along with our server where both professional whilst being friendly and ensuring the mood was laid back and relaxed. Tony the owner also popped by our table to check on us which was a welcome addition.

Creative and unique breakfast selection - walked in on a Thursday morning, plenty of seating. Had the sweet potato and kale fritters, some haloumi chips, and a chai matcha latte. All top quality food. Great service.
Picked this place out randomly for its location. I had a delicious chicken parmigiana and my dinner partner had the lamb shank. The rest of the menu looked great. Absolutely would come back.
