The lighting is moody and dim- which we love, and the staff are friendly and attentive.

Really nice place, great service and ordered pizza. They were willing to cater towards us by removing cheese which was very nice of them. The pizza we had was crispy, light and delicious and wasn’t super heavy. Fresh food, however a bit pricey. Probably would try other pizza places however this is a good one to go to if you haven’t already

今天是和男票10点左右去的，周六的晚上人依旧非常多。我们点了一个rib eye fillet和bolognese的意面，饮料是lemonade和latte。牛排真的是好大一块，400g是真的很实在了，但是薯条啥的是要另外点的，不是已经配好的，配的就是土豆泥黄瓜胡萝卜。要的medium-well，但是牛排的味道吃上去竟然是苦的，有点小失望。意面男票说没味道，但我觉得还可以，味道太重到后面就会腻得吃不下了，所以这样淡淡的刚刚好。lemonade竟然破天荒得很好喝，喝上去像雪碧混合芬达的味儿。
价格的话，最后我们两个人吃了68。
I really like the decor of this place with the tree and the lights on the branches inside and the fireplace. Loved the books on the small bookcase on the side too. I got the chicken risotto and it was a big portion; enough for two people who eat a normal size. My risotto was really tasty!
Came here for a family birthday dinner and it was lovely! The staff were friendly and attentive and provided great service. The food was also great, i had the Rigatoni Salsicce and it had nice flavours and tasted fresh. A new place to know of when looking to eat out on Lygon :)
I loved my experience here! My mum and i sat outside and had the best waiter ever, the service he provided was exceptional! We had the spaghetti marinara and the gnocchi, which were both delicious! 😀
My family have been coming here for years for low key birthdays to cheeky 'why not' dinners out. The food is consistent and delicious. Staff change a bit (not unused) but service standard is almost always great. Some great wine choices and favourite dish by far is the fettuccini ragu! Give this one a try 👌
Was catching up for dinner with a friend on Lygon and we decided to try Copperwood given we'd walked past many times before and never gotten around to checking it out. I opted for the pesto gnocchi which is pretty much my go to in my pasta repertoire because it's so calorifically delicious. The serving was quite generous and very satisfying. Extremely consistent with what you will find anywhere on this street in terms of pricing, flavours and menu range. A nice dimly lit interior made for an enjoyable atmosphere and the service was pleasant. Nothing overly memorable but certainly no issues either

We found this place while strolling along Lygon st. We were drawn in by the pork belly pasta - which ended up being delightful (though the pork itself was a little dry). I enjoyed the Bolognese which was exactly what I was hoping for - simple and tasty. The meatball entree/tapas was a highlight. They had run out of stuck date pudding so we went for the (waitress recommended) creme brulee which didn't disappoint.
I went her a while back, and I remember getting seafood pizza was full of sauce, rib eye fillet was good.
In my opinion service need some work..
Interesting menu with a wide variety of different pasta as well as seafood and protein. We had an early dinner and the calamari was lovely. Service was a little slow considering we were the only ones in the room, hard to stand out in Lygon st and I think copper wood is not particularly outstanding but worth a visit.
Came down for a hot chocolate with Elisha Hodges. The staff were nice and the beverage was of high quality. Would love to come back and have a meal the menu looks great!
With beautifully decorated interior and mood lighting, Copperwood definitely delivers a wonderful ambiance of elegance, muted formality and romance. Whilst I first visited the restaurant with two friends, my primary impression made me think that it would absolutely be the perfect candidate for a date night. The staff were friendly, and attended to us quickly. I ordered the Pork Belly, and although I loved it, I did feel it was very overpriced - an added tax seemingly imposed by the pretense of fine dining. One of the better Pork Bellies I've had, but for the price, I would not frequent Copperwood often.

Today I visited the Copperwood restaurant for the first time to have a late lunch starting just after 1:30 pm with four close friends. We were quite surprised that the large menu was so varied, one doesn't usually find tapas in an Italian eatery. Normally when eating in Italian eateries I have some form of pasta however today I chose two totally contrasting tapas small meals, firstly the lightly grilled fresh scallops served with garlic butter (presentation was excellent) followed by their Italian traditional oven-baked meatballs served with crunchy home-made bread, whilst my friends had capricciosa pizza, chicken Caesar salad & scallops. All our dishes were served steaming hot and within 15 minutes of time of ordering, although it was surprisingly quiet, we had obviously missed the busy lunch period. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals & the great hospitality provided by waitress Lana & her Asian colleague (whose name I didn't get), I don't think I've met a waitress as friendly & chatty as Lana (but having said that she didn't intrude whilst we were eating). The restaurant's décor is somewhat more sophisticated than others in Lygon street and had a real warmth about it. The pop genre background music was enjoyable without being too loud.
The Juror's Verdict: Food 4/5, Service Provision 5/5, Will I return: Yes, to try a different dish.

Yummy food and great service if your happy to pay a good price. Great setting and very large restaurant so plenty of space for large groups.
Nice food, staff was friendly took a while to be looked after but understand when it's too busy on a long weekend night...pasta was the highlight of the day
An amazing Italian inspired menu! Will not disappoint you. Highly recommend any of the pasta dishes with the homemade gnocchi. Each bite was like a tiny cloud exploding in my mouth followed by the delicious balance of flavour in the sauce.
had the gnocchi pesto and garlic bread - simple and straight forward. atmosphere is bright and positive - staff friendly and attentive. overall a nice place for a bite.
Had the penne pork belly. Food was amazing. Has got to be one of the best pasta dishes I've ever tried. The pork belly had some lovely crunch and stickiness to it and the oil used for the pasta was spot on. Rated this down due to its customer service. They were not attentive at all.
We had an excellent experience at Copperwood. Great service from the waiting staff, all the dishes we ordered were fresh and delicious, atmosphere was warm and welcoming and overall good value.
Popped in Copperwood on a reasonably busy night. Was seated and served promptly. Had the bruschetta, the chorizo, the arincinis and the grilled haloumi for entrees. All of them delicious! My partner and myself shared the copperwood chicken for a main and was also delicious. Could not fault the food or service. Highly recommended!
Nice enough! Good atmosphere for a Wednesday night. Had the Caesar salad, which was tasty! My friends liked their food as well. Pretty cheap beer, fast service- no complaints/no fuss!
I dropped by this lovely restaurant on a quiet weekday. The waitstaff were very attentive and judging by the other customers there, they were pretty happy with the service too! Many people were there to eat alone and just enjoy the good food and atmosphere. The risotto here is delicious.. I would have preferred to have a slightly larger portion for the price paid and i'll definitely skip the chips next time, but overall a good experience!
I have been a few times. Always good. Great entree selection if you want a few things to share. Quality and flavour is great. Pasta's are also good. Portions are not that generous. But I don't think that's a bad thing when it comes to pasta. Lamb shanks on the other hand - 2 massive shanks over a huge pile of mash and stew poured on top. Tasty! But you might want to share it between two. Another thing to night - the house wines are very good and oddly cheap. I don't really understand their low booze rates - but I like it 👌🏻
One of the better Lygon street restaurants. The inside is very elegant, and the staff are very accommodating and friendly.
Food is great. I ordered the fettuccine dello chef. The pasta was the perfect texture and the sauce complimented it perfectly.
Anyone will a sweet tooth will find it hard to resist ordering one of the decadent desserts in the window. Cookies and cream cheesecake - absolutely divine.

It's nothing out of the ordinary, but I do enjoy Copperwood for a good, satisfying Italian feed. Essentially, it does the job, and does it well every time that I visit. We had a range of tapas to start (the scallops are so yummy!), Spaghetti Bolognese for main (because you can never go wrong with that) and the Tim Tam Cheesecake to finish. Really good if you have a large party as you will be served quickly by the lovely staff. Also a lot more reliable and consistent than some of the other restaurants on Lygon Street.

Had dinner here before watching Birdman. Yes I know Birdman has been out of cinemas for months now. It was just had a light dinner and I think the staff were shunning us because we only ordered one main to share, but there were only two of us and we weren't that hungry. They ended the night with a nice, free frozen coffee dessert though :)
Came here for lunch on the weekend and sat outside - great heaters! We had two of the best coffees in Carlton, the pesto chicken pizza was terrific - fresh chicken breast, pesto and mushrooms. The minestrone was great on a cold day and service was impeccable even though we were outside and everyone was inside. Definitely recommend among the sea of restaurants here. Plus, no cheap plastic chairs or plastic wrapped tables in sight!

My creme brulee (I wanted something small and I feel like a creme brulee is a custard and doesn’t even take up any space in my belly anyway) came out and the caramal on top looked real dark, like burnt dark. Anywho, I cracked it open and the custard was soooo good! YUMMOOO!! soooo satisfying (didn’t even share!). Next up, Miss Candy got the Tiramisu and it too was pretty delish. The coffee flavour I found wasn’t super strong and the cake was super moist and soft. Of course Miss Candy liked it since she devoured it in no seconds.
I always like getting the potato pizza it hasnt let me down yet :) and 1 of my fav places on lygon street, its a bit more pricey but worth it
Amazing food and friendly service. Seared scallop at Copperwood is the best that I've had. Waiters are friendly and attentive. I also really enjoyed the dining experience at a place so nicely decorated, especially the 'fairy lights' tree in the middle of the restaurant that gives the place so much more life.
One of my fav's. We stumbled over this one by accident. The restaurant we were intending to visit was really noisy and Copperwood's romantic atmosphere appealed. What a great choice! The atmosphere is perfect for intimate dining or dining with a touch of class. The service was outstanding and the food was amazing. Prices were reasonable for the quality of dining experience provided. I highly recommend this restaurant to the fussy diner who enjoys the finer things in life.
Love it. We usually drop in before or after going to Nova. Great Tapas especially the arancini & funghi al forno followed by the zucchine pizza with prawns. Tony, the manager is extremely polite,friendly and very helpful (for a Carlton supporter).
The pizza was large with a super thin polenta dusted base just the way I like it although I would love the sides to be more puffy and crunchy. I was pleasantly surprised that a simple garlic oil and mixed herbs could bring out so much punch and flavours.
Another housemate night out, another Italian place on Lygon Street. We wandered past a few places and ended up here. I think the decor lured me in. Cheesy bites and salty olives were our entrees. Gnocchi for R. His gnocchi expert taste deemed the dish average. Meaty gnocchi is too dry, he reckons. The seafood pasta, on the other hand, was not dry at all. Had I ordered a main, I think I would have chosen this. Or wished I had. Not having been overly hungry, I went for Funghi al forno, a small entree dish. Stumbled on this restaurant walking along Lygon st best coffee and food. The service is fantastic always very attentive especially Tony the Manager.

Quite pleasant. Had a business dinner here and it was quite nice. Service was good and friendly and they asked if it was okay to serve the main once we had finished the entree (which I like because sometimes you need that breather before eating again). The dessert was creme brulee wasn't great though in fact I think it has split and quiet frankly I wouldn't of eaten it if I hadn't needed to be polite during our business dinner. Wouldn't rave about it but wouldn't say it was bad.
Great food, service and ambience. Would come back!!!

Pasta = Yes. Three cheeses gnocchi was superb, friend had just normal spaghetti and said it was quiet delicious too!
brushetta was yummy. Love the cafe setting, and the scenery.
Downside: the awkward staff that stood near me and my friend outside and had random conversations which you could hear about the weirdest things..

This is the third time I have been there this year and I have been impressed every time. The service has been fast, polite and efficient. I had the lamb shanks last night after seeing them being served last time I was there-delicious! Exactly how a shank should be, juicy, meaty and falling off the bone. Great on a cold, damp Melbourne night. They have a good selection of wines to satisfy all tastes. I have never tried desserts as I have never had room after the large main servings. I like the ambiance of the restaurant as well.
Good food, service and fun time. Went recently with a group and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - sat outside, had a great server, food wasn't to die for, but it was really good - lentil soup, then a pasta with avocado. Mostly just a really nice experience. I liked the menu offerings too - I will return but it's quite a commute (live in eastern US)!
Everybody at the table had scrumptious food. My tortellini festive was like little puffs of heaven smothered in mushroom sauce. Delicious would definitely go back :)
Excellent. All meals excellent, service excellent would go back again. Great night with all meals drinks for approx 50 per head . Very good value and quality.
Pizza was really tasty. Customer service was okay. Our drinks came out after our meals. Fettuccini carbonara was lacking in flavour, was quite disappointing.
