Had lunch here yesterday with a friend. Really enjoyed the prawn spaghetti and my friend loved the beef burger. Service was relatively quick. Recommend this place
Weekly Friday trips to this place to celebrate the start of the weekend are pretty standard at the office.
Average food at a distinctly high price point, nestled amongst the various competitors in the area, this place is all about the chilled vibes from the office crowd.
Smashed the nachos this time round and other than the fact that it came with no meat, they were pretty alright!
I hosted a function (50th) in their upstairs space. I could not fault the team in dealings leading up to and on the night. Jo, the events manager was very easy to deal with and very helpful in anticipating all forseeable issues. The whole staff were thoroughly professional. This team is on top of their game.
There were no dramas with special dietary needs, or customising the package. The guests all loved the food, and the space. Also, there was plenty of local parking and Southern Cross stn is a short walk. The venue has inner city quality and amenity, with a local pub feel. My wife and I loved the whole experience.
Gorgeous venue with a higher class feel without the higher class prices. Food was cooked sensationally well, as well as the staff service was amazing

Mint bar for drinks, the food also is very very tasty and good. I go here often and never had a bad meal. Looking for a place for meal and casual drinks then this is your spot!!
Went here with a large work group (~20) and had to pre-order. The food all came out exactly as ordered and was good. I had the grilled chicken burger which came with a side of wedges and was pretty awesome. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was good and friendly. I would happily come here again.
The setting is quite nice, you can seat inside or outside. The outside drinking area is smoker friendly. In term of food, the restaurant is average. My steak was not medium rare as requested. The vegetable was quite bland.
Salmon from this place is the best I've tried everywhere. Although the skin is too hard, the rest are quite tasty. Been there several times with different trials, but finally keep with only Salmon best of the best. Price is a bit too high but the place is nice and clean. It's good to bring your partner or friends there to enjoy a great lunch time.
The lobster sliders are amazing. A pair of sweet brioche bread sandwiching succulent lobster meat with horseradish aioli. Good ambience for a bar.
Had a very pleasant lunch here with work colleagues. All meals were served promptly and looked appetising. I had slight food envy of the fish n chips with delicious chunky fries. My king prawn ravioli wasn't very hot and I found it a bit bland however it was a very fresh and well presented. The New York cheesecake was smooth and decadent, the perfect way to finish a meal. Great ambience and friendly staff.
We went here for a team lunch, upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who led us to a relaxing outdoor area with leather couches on the balcony. Food arrived shortly after we were seated as we preordered. Our meals were well presented and looked mouth-watering. Although the serving was a bit smaller than i expected, my medium rib eye complimented by peppercorn sauce was juicy and tender, shame there wasn't enough sauce for the whole meat, salad and potato was great as well as each had its own flavour dressings. Staff were quick to clear our plates as soon as we're done with our meals but we sat around for a bit longer with the drinks we got from the bar.
When many places are shut during the night in Docklands, this is a "thank-God it's open" place! I love the sousvide lamb cutlets... cooked to perfection. The mini lobster burgers are also a favourite. Their tapas selections are the ones to look out for... yummy, fuss-free plates. Service is not bad as well, can be improved re. knowledge of the dishes and what time you decide to shut. But overall, great experience!
Live review:
Got a nice sitting place on couch.
Nice choices of beer. Was looking for Hoegaarden for long time.
Nice options on tap beer also.
Only veg so not much of a review.
Chips and nachos were good. Nice crisp. Sauces were also great.
•prompt service
•staff had good knowledge of the menu and were otherwise proactive in checking requests with the kitchen
•the menu has many different options and variety
•the servings are a generous size and good prices
•decor is clean and comfortable
Normally I kick off a review with a little anecdote about how we discovered the week's pub in question, however I have no such story for TAP831 as I came across it almost completely by accident. I looked at our recent reviews and said to myself "Hm. We haven't been to the docklands in a while", so I opened up Google Maps, hovered over the docklands, searched for "pub" and hit enter. I tossed the places we had already been and the places that didn't do a parma and was left with one option that actually looked pretty decent ... TAP831.
Ive been here 3 times already with ma boyfriend and we've loved it everytime ! The food, service, decor and music are all on point!!
Deffs order either the parma, asian beef salad or calamari!
Went for a friday arvo lunch. Omg their starters are so mouth-wateringly good! Esp the sliders! I had a parma for main - I really struggled to eat it all as the portion was huge. Their service was great, though each time someone new would come to serve us! I really enjoyed the experience at Tap831! 😄
I had a work lunch here with about 10 other colleagues and I was pleasantly surprised with the meal I had here. For a relatively large venue for the area, it has always looked half empty every time I walked past it and based on the Zomato rating, I didn't have a high expectation walking in.
The interior looks very nice and new and the upstairs area even has a small bar. I ordered the chicken parma and for the money you pay for it, it's actually pretty decent. Taste wise, it wasn't dry nor soggy from the sauce. Service was alright and they were rather quick to pounce on your plate when it looked like you've finished your meal.
Overall, the other dishes my colleagues ordered looked and apparently tasted great too. I wouldn't mind stopping here again if the opportunity arises.

Tap831 is a new addition to the docklands area. The first thing that catches your eye is the exterior with the multiple levels and excellent decor. However it is the interior that is worth all of it. When you step in, the place is really well spaced and the seating is open and inviting. The wall to wall alcohol bottles on display is the focal point of the venue. It almost makes you wish you could stay there all day and sample each one.
So we went here for lunch one weekday afternoon as it was really close to the office, Actually just outside the office. Ambinace : Pretty modern , With lots of light and Open space, I love this kind of ambiance. Food : we were even of us and I don't remember all the dishes except 2 3. I Ordered the Gnocchi with pumpkin sauce and roasted vegetables. which was amazing. The pumpkin sauce was silky smooth and tasted heavenly, Even the Gnocchi were melt in mouth Baramundi with Pesto sauce . It looked really tempting . The veg pizza : I was not very impressed with the look of it , But it tasted good it seems.VFM: My gnocchi was around 16 dollars and everything else was also on the same lines 15- 20 Dollars, which I thought was pretty good price.
Really like this place. Price is what you expect in the docklands, food is great; Favourites would be the Pan Fried Barramundi and the Beef roll. Staff are always attentive and friendly and the restaurant itself is great. Only thing I don't like is the lack of Amber ales. But that's just me. Definitely recommend this joint.
Edit: Revisited on a busy Friday night for dinner and drinks. Was seated upstairs where the service was attentive and friendly. I had the Parma, which was amazing! Huge, really juicy and great value for $22. TAP831 is fast becoming my go-to place for after work catch ups with friends.

I had a really lovely meal here last night. Service was attentive and super polite. Orders were taken quickly and the food came out after only a short wait. I had the potato and parmesan gnocchi with pumpkin puree, broccoli and kale - it was DELICIOUS. The gnocchi were not stodgy at all, and instead were crisp and flavourful. I'll definitely be back :)
I'm really not sure why it's rated so low, I'm happy I made the decision to give it a try.
We popped in for a quick dinner last night and were very pleasantly surprised. My chicken saltimbocca with truffle mash was spectacularly good; hubby's fish (barra) and chips was good too.
However... we saw a man by the door patting a dog. The man then came in and immediately went behind the bar and started serving drinks. He even juggled a glass around getting his fingers all over the rim. Nope, he didn't wash his hands. That's a worry IMHO.

My workmate and I went to the table service section upstairs after work. The steak was pretty decent but the lamb skewers were disappointing there wasn't enough flavour. Can't fault the service though. We had one waitress for the whole night and was always willing to help!
Great location, fantastic ambiance and seating upstairs. Food was OK but nothing to rave about, with that said they did have a good selection of meals.
Staff were friendly and very attentive.
Buzzing spot new in docklands really enjoyed the dirty martini, Manhattan but unfortunately the lobster rolls were sold out. We had drumsticks with a bacon sauce, calamari spicy sauce and lovely scallops with rockmelon.
Great food and nice settings. Would recommend to food lover. Slightly pricey though.
Good spot to go before the footy, only 5-10 walk to Marvel stadium. Nice venue.
We went last Friday night and had a meal and drinks before the game. Food very nice, very friendly staff.
Well worth a visit.
Went for a lunch with a few other colleagues. I pre- ordered a Wagyu beef burger. The food is good. The service is ok.
If I could do 6/5 I would. Service was outstanding, food was amazing. Family of 5, all meals spot on (do yourself a favour & at least try the wontons!), cool place with awesome vibe, SO hard to find in Docklands. You’re welcome 😊

Had a great time. Food was so delicious. Thanks to our waiter Chris. He was amazing at his job. Loved his style and customer service
We had a gig to attend to close by, so randomly booked a table for 2 at TAP831 and i must say, i am oddly impressed 😁 basic/simple menu, but was exactly what we needed and was tasty. we got the chicken burger & the parma with an added side of mushroom sauce. 😋 The Sticky Date’s portion size though was the smallest i’ve ever seen, and the strawberries were not ripe. i’d come again, just not for the tiny portions of dessert 😆
