Decent noodles, juicy meat and spicy soup base.. VERY SPICY! I asked the staff to reduce the spicy level by 50% and it was still bloody spicy. I was sweating non-stop! Overall, it was a decent spicy beef noodle soup.
Delicious noodles and bustling restaurant. Have been coming here for years!
Would be good if every table got a jug of water. Waiters are not quick enough to refill water often and the soups are spicy, hot and salty so people do need a lot of water!
Fish slices with pickles, 14.8
Pork belly with pickles, 15.8
A fav for hot piping bowl of Szechuan pickled vegetable noodle soup
Prompt service and awesome flavours in their chilly soup bases - perfect if you are after the numbing Sezchuan kick! Staff mindful not everyone can handle the heat and kindly offer separate bowls and plentiful water refills to cool down the noodles and the tongue. Serving sizes are generous so come hungry!
One of our go-to places for a quick, filling and affordable meal in the city. We tried the Oxtail and Tomato soup and the Deep Fried Pork with Pickles noodle soups. They were both super delicious, flavourful and the portion was huge! I love tomato in anything so it’s always a winner, but the pickles were really delicious too paired with the pork (although the pork does become soggy in the broth). It comes out piping hot so be careful not to burn yourself!
Guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuud
Our group of 5 got lucky and were seated quite quickly on a Friday night. I had the meatballs soup noodles. The two meatballs were very different - one crumbled at the lightest touch and the other was quite firm. The noodles and soup were great though and the serving size was very generous. The service was quick but we noticed that those waiting for takeaway seemed to wait much longer.
When we were offered a table, we were told that we might get a little cold as it was next to the door. We accepted anyway as we were eager to eat (they were right, we did get a bit cold from the door opening frequently). It was nice that they brought it to our attention and confirmed we were okay with it first though.
Had a nice quick dinner here. I got the mushroom noodle soup and added the spicy beer duck. The soup was full of flavour and the waitress took the time to explain how the system worked. The only downside would be is that you are seated really close to others
Food - 8/10
Service - 7.5/10
Ambience - 7/10
Had the spicy stewed beef. It was exactly was I wanted from a Sichuan restaurant. Burn my mouth crazy crazy hot 🔥🔥🤤 I loved it ❤️ also the beef was surprisingly tender and good. Highly recommended if you can take your spicy 😊
Incredibly fresh and chewy handmade noodles in a delicious broth, the spicier the better, order the thinly sliced beef for melt in your mouth goodness, great value at around $15 but be careful it comes out way too hot so wait a couple minutes
My favourite soup place in town, I always craving this soup, pickle chilli is my favourite go, if you like spicy but not too spicy. I tried chilli ones , but too hot for me. Soup is cooked separately, when it serves ,it is boiling hot, so be careful, not too close to the pot. I loved to eat soup in the clay pot that made experience go extra mile. Service is ok and I didn’t expect anything in regards to the service just like ordinary Chinese restaurant . Price is a bit more than other shops however very authentic Chinese food , I always bring friends who visit Melbourne for this soup! I hope they could made a bit more eating space for ppl who eat alone.
Good if you love hot noodles in boiling hot soup. I would recommend all the Sichuan style noodles but not the non-spicy options. Can't expect much service as it's like fast food in Asia.
Noodle lovers, you've found your place. This restaurant is full of yummy soup and ingredients. A little too pricey but good size portion. Will definitely be back often.
Tina’s noodle kitchen has a wide variety of noodle dishes that are great for Sichuan and spicy food lovers - but they do have some great non-spicy options as well (pictured below).
I love their fish noodle soup in a pickled vegetable soup, it’s a bit on the sour side which I like so it cuts through the slight oilyness of the dish.
Portions are really huge as well, I can never finish one bowl by myself!
I’ve always been craving for Tina’s noodle since first time I ate here, the thing I love most is the noodle, the texture is perf, soft enough, thick enough. The soup is tasty, and still boiling hot when being served, the amount of food is heaps, very fillings, but the service isn’t the thing I like, they aren’t professional, but it’s quick service, a fast-pacing and crowded restaurant.
The food is superb. I’m a sucker for sichuan dishes so i got instantly falling for their spicy broth. And don’t even mention the portion. It’s HUGE. Loved it.
However the staff is not very friendly, and they greet us instantly in Chinese language, and right after we reply with English, their behaviour got even worse. I’ve been there a couple times, and i found just 1 or 2 staff being friendly, the rest is an okay one. But it’s okay because i’ve been to so many restaurants employed by staffs with an attutide.
Tried the hot and spicy fish noodles and braised pork prickled veg noodles. Both are good! I like the hot and spicy one most as the blend is just right with mala fragrance and noodles absorbed the broth well.
The authentic Chinese rice noodles extra delicious.
Pork chitterlings with extra oxtail was my favourite. U can download app and can enjoy their membership rewards.
Been here a few times now and this time I had the Stewed Chicken with Mushroom soup as normally I would order the spicy soup.. the soup was full of flavor & portions are big.. i loved the texture of the noodle “mi xian” & there are plenty of chicken pieces with bone, couples type of mushroom & some bean sprout.. but watch out because the clay pot is very hot.. this place has 2 levels & is very cramped.. I went there alone during lunch time & I had to share a big table with all the other single diners.. this is a self service restaurant means you have to pay at the counter, take your number & wait for your food..
If you're craving a big bowl of noodles with soup, Tina's Noodle Kitchen ticks all the right boxes!
Their servings are huge and can definitely feed more than one person adequately. For today, we had the mixed seafood noodle. The noodles were deliciously al dente and easy to swallow. The broth was tasty and full of goodness (with a hint of MSG, I suspect). There was a lovely amount of prawns, fishballs and other assorted seafood.
Service was slightly disappointing but the delicious noodles at a reasonable price made up for it!
As a noodle lovers, this place is like a heaven full of delicious noodle soup. I have tried almost everything on the menu and all of them are delicious. Pricing is a little bit on pricier side for noodle soup but portion is so big. You can share between 2 people if you are not hungry?
Will I be back? You can always find me once a month there 😉
Always long lines and after so long this is very impressive to me !
The noodles are flavoursome - alot of MSG but has a generous portion of noodles , soup and ingredients
Love the oxtail tomato soup noodle and all the spicy noodle soups here
Have been to the store in box hill for many times. Decent noodles, soup base is incredibly tasty. Tomato soup is one of my favorite choice, really nice to sip the soup on a cold weather day.

Recommended by a friend and tried their pickles n fish fillets noodle soup. I must admit that their noodle soup has a very rich taste which is great and the size is reasonable. No wonder this place is always busy. Unfortunately I dont eat spicy myself, but my friend tried their Sichuan noodle soup which he said it is a 5 star..... reason for losing 1 star cos lack of customer service and they were trying to clean the whole table and ready for the next customer as soon as they see you putting down your chopsticks.

Not for the faint hearted, if you get the spicy noodles it is also temperature hot so has a lot of added heat. I suggest getting a drink along side your bowl and to have the time to let the soup cool down a bit before diving in. The meat is very tender and juicy and the flavours are very authentic albeit slightly oily. The service is very Chinese so if an English speaker be prepared to order by the numbers on the menu!
The shredded pork with pickles noodle soup was really nice. It comes in a claypot and is huge! After finishing half, it looks like I haven't started eating at all in the bowl. The soup was really nice - tasty and flavourful. I really like it.
Recommended by my Chinese friends.
1st visit, had their pork feet noodles with pickle chili. Love it!! It’s as spicy as I thought it would be (lvl2 spiciness). Super generous servings of pork feet. The noodles were really good! The broth was YUM (could be spicier tho).
2nd visit, had their hot and spicy beef noodle. In LOVE with the broth. Perfect spiciness. Noodle and beef were still as good.
Recommended!
No doubt being the best noodle soup in Melb. Soup base is brilliant with a generous amount of topping. Definitely worth the wait during rush hours.
Have this noodle for dinner after my friend highly recommended it. Have to queue up for our turn upon our arrival at the restaurant. The restaurant was fast been occupied by patrons. Ordered not spicy noodle as Sichuan spicy stuffs are just not for me. Their not spicy soup noodle was ok. Soup was nice and the noodle was something I never tried before. Portion wise is huge! Overall is ok to try on this restaurant and not really recommended to people who can't take on spicy foods.
Love a bowl of super hot noodle soup on a cold winter day! Tina's noodle kitchen is an authentic Chinese restaurant thats always always packed. Most of the times you have to wait for a table. Service wasn't that much but you go to Chinese restaurants for their food right! I ordered the deep fried pork one and it was yum! Portion size is good as well! Will be back!
Great Chinese place in the heart of Melbourne City. We went there several times for their noodles. Service is quick and staff friendly. Definitely my best Chinese experience. A place i will go back and i highly recommend for any Chinese food lovers.
Great find close to Chinatown! The place was busy when we went for dinner. The service was fast and the staff was attentive. I tried their Braised Pork Belly with pickles and the soup and noodles were satisfying good. Definitely will come back again next time.
For a very busy restaurant on Swanston St the service and attentiveness of staff was great, with water cups getting filled constantly. Portions were generous with lots of noodle, soup, meat and vegetable, and it was very flavourful. Perfect for the cold weather! Price is definitely great considering what you get. Would definitely come again.
I headed to Tina’s noodle kitchen recently and have seen it quite popular when I walk past the restaurant on swanston street.
I finally have tried Tina’s noodle kitchen and it was a great experience!
Although food took a while to come out, there wasn’t enough chilli oil or sauces for each table so have to ask for it and the waiters will take it from another table.
The service was very prompt, the waiters kept filling my cup with water everytime we were running low.
When the food finally came, I got the spicy noodles with beef and my mate got the noodles with pork.
The sizing is generous and the noodles were great!
I will be coming back
If you want a good noodle soup in the city come here you will not be disappointed. There are 3 vegan options and the best ones have chilli! Ask for the vegan soup. Amazing tofu, lotus and noodles. Very authentic, only let down is a line at peak hours!
A Great Chinese noodles, and I really recommend the spicy one if you can tolerate the Sichuan chill.
Always many people waiting outside, and the restaurant is not very big always have to share table with others.
And the service is not that good as all the waiters are too busy to take care of you.
Food: Tina's Noodle Kitchen is so good. Personally I find it a bit salty, however, if you're here for salty, brothy, spicy Sichuan noodles, with a gorgeous depth of spices, it's the place to go. There are plenty of options for the unadventurous foodie (me) (such as braised beef), however, if you're willing to try new things, there are options such as blood curd and pork chitterling etc Meal portions are generally a bit too big for me... Definitely worth it if you're hungry. Not much in the way of vegetarian options.
Service: Prompt and basically what you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant. No fuss, to the point service.
Only been once, but it's the best of the Dainty noodles, imho. I had the fish and pickled vegetables with noodles. This came served in a heated claypot, and had extra ingredients like tofu sheets (one of my favourite things). Texture of the noodles was bouncy, the way I like it. I was suitably impressed. The flavour of the dish seems better than at its sister Dainty shops not specialising in noodles. Now I know.
Beware the super salty soup if you're avoiding salt.
Very spicy if you favour that choice, but definitely delicious - it kept me going back several times. The service and seating is decent enough. I’d recommend the wagyu beef 🌶 🍜 for spice & meat lovers.
Consistent and flavourful chinese noodle soup. Speedy customer service, everything is served within 10 minutes at most every time. Food is also very reasonable priced and affordable. Definitely a great place to go to if you're craving for some authentic china noodles!
Really nice Chinese fast food in CBD area in Melbourne. Always long queue.
Tender beef with tomato soup rice noodle is really good for people who cannot eat chilli (One of my favourites). Chilli blood curd combination is also tasty and quite spicy. I can enjoy blood curd, tender beef, beef tripes and many different kinds of vegetables in one soup. I'd like to add extra wagyu beef as well.
The service is nice and kind at least for me.
Always like the rice noodle there, especially when it’s in cold winter hahaha. But it’s still ok to have it in summer , love the spicy beef one so much. If u feel sad or depressed just go there. A bowl of beef rice noodles with hot spicy soup gonna wake n cheer u up
Can get really busy during lunch and dinner time especially weekend. We went there weekday lunch time. Order at the counter. Food took a little while to come, about 20 minutes. Prompt table service. Large portion and very flavorful soup base, generous about of ingredients in the soup. Definitely a delightful meal.
Enjoyed the oxtail and tomato noodle with Murray Parker who enjoyed the mushroom noodle. Good helpings, and good taste. Lychee drink was very refreshing.
The noodle-soup I turn to after a tough day! I always order the spicy soup with veg and mushrooms, and my new favourite is the pickled veg. An icy watermelon juice is my drink order of choice. This soup is hot, boiling hot (be careful), and clears my head with mouth numbing pepper and chilli. The only downside is that Tina’s accept cash only, and there is often a line up at busy times.
Whenever I'm craving a big comforting bowl of noodles - Tina's never fails to be my number one spot to hit up. They're cheap and filling and perfect for those cold winter days 👌🏼 Plus, with so many options, there's always something new for me to try out! Service isn't the best but efficient and the food makes up for it.
Delicious and generously portioned, the noodles were just the right texture, the soup was so flavourful and rich (and spicy!), and the dish came with many chunks of beef/pork. Seating was as usual tight as per your standard Chinese eateries. Staff were friendly (even though some couldn’t speak a word of English - but that’s okay, that’s why there were pictures on the menu right :p).
I always wonder why there's always a line at this store. And I went with friend which he recommended to go try out. Ordered the braised pork belly and it was delicious but a bit salty. It will be great if there more noodle in the dish. Overall good food
A great place if you want a quick claypot noodle or skewers, and hungry, because it has huge serving size 😁 I had the top 1 tomatoes soup tender beef and I loved the flavour of the soup so much yummy yummy yummy
customer service is quick feels like a machine for efficiency not friendly at all. While I was getting cash out of the wallet the cashier guy just left without a word to check something, and the kitchen staff saw me waiting and called him back...
The food taste pretty average, not super delicious but not bad either. But for $16, the portion is huge. I didn't finish my bowl since it was big and they were pretty generous with their ingredients.
I'm not sure if it's allowed, but you can probably have 1 bowl for 2 people.
Heard much of this place but I have never got to try it ... until today! For the price they charge (sub $20), the serving size is generous and you really get to choose from a variety of different claypot dishes. It gets pretty busy during peak hours even on a Tuesday so I'd suggest you to get in a little early of possible.
very good Sichuan food, authentic & delicious! service was okay. they don't really let you make alterations to the dishes.
Had the beef tomato noodle and picked cabbage fish noodle. Both are beautifully delicious and the amount was way too much for 3 of us. I mean, you could finish a bowl by yourself and call it a day. 😉
Good late night supper place. Easy dumpling and BBQ skewer specialities. Strange they don't have Chinese tea though. Seating upstairs and down stairs
This restaurant on Swanston street is one popular and very busy Chinese noodle place.
This place offers wide varieties of Chinese style noodle bowls which are giant and flavour packed.
The place is nice and comfy, the staff is very friendly and helpful as well.
I've been there 3 times now, and I've had spicy beef noodles and spicy fish noodles so far.
The bowls are humongous and they are very generous with the ingredients.
Perfect for spicy noodle lovers. The soup makes and the ingredients definitely steal the show.
Highly recommend the place.
