Will come back when opens again!!
Yum
Urban Provedore is a spacious, suburban cafe along the busy Toorak Road, located easily next to South Yarra Station and Chapel Street, making it a fun weekend spot. With a clean, timber panelled interior, and food that hit all the right spots for me on a day of Sunday brunching, I was happy with Urban Provedore’s classic menu, featuring a few twists to please its trendy customers.
Really loved this cafe venue just off Chapel St. A super trendy cafe, with an array of tasty dishes that are sure going to tickle your taste buds! Including the best chocolate waffles, mushroom omelette or a tasty eggs Benedict!
We enjoyed a lovely brunch at Urban Provedore over the weekend!
We had two good meals - the crispy crab melt and the steak sambo! They have lovely juices too! Would definitely have loved to try more dishes - will be coming back when I’m around the neighbourhood!
Urban Provedore is a gorgeous cafe located conveniently in a busy part of South Yarra. From the outside it looks very welcoming, and inside the decor is classy with lovely bistro chairs, wooden tables and cool light fixtures. A counter overflows with tempting treats, and the large space feels open and comfortable. The wait staff were so nice and helpful, and we looked forward to having a delicious brunch.
The menu is very appetising, with lots of options featuring fresh and seasonal produce. We started with great coffee and delicious freshly squeezed juice and an awesome berry smoothie. The smoothie was full of flavour with a lovely texture, and tasted so fresh. The coffee was also delicious, hitting the spot for a much needed caffeine fix.
On the recommendation of our waitress, we chose the zucchini and corn fritters and the pear and rhubarb waffles. We were so glad we went with these choices when they arrived, as they both looked fantastic. The fritters were piled high, sandwiched with avocado and topped with bacon, a poached egg and a huge mound of grated pecorino cheese. The fritters themselves had a perfectly crispy exterior, with a fluffy, beautifully seasoned filling. This dish was well balanced in both flavour and texture, and are definitely amongst the best fritters I've had.
The waffle was a pretty plate of crispy waffles, poached pear, different styles of rhubarb including fabulous rhubarb chips, chocolate mousse, and chocolate soil. The pear and chocolate worked so well together, and the waffles were nice and puffy. I loved the rhubarb as it adds a nice hint of sharpness to the dish. The pear still had it's skin, which I actually enjoyed, but I would have preferred it to be cored. It's not a big issue, just something that makes it easier to eat. Overall though, it was a fabulous sweet brunch dish.
I couldn't fault the service. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and the other staff were lovely and chatty. The room filled up during our visit, until it was almost a full house. For a mid week morning this shows that Urban Provedore has a great reputation in the area and lots of loyal customers. And why not when this pretty cafe has such a lovely ambience, delicious food and fabulous service.
‘Just because you live in the city doesn’t mean you should miss out on the finest provincial produce available’
—that's Urban Provedore’s philosophy and foundation that makes their deli-style café so wholesome.
You’ll find everything your hungry heart desires with shelves of quality foodstuffs: from preserves and pastas, to ready-made takeaway meals, salads and daily rotating sandwiches.
The charming shopfront is best known for its sweet corn and zucchini fritters (they claim to be the best in Melbourne!) and the menu focuses on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Highlights from their all-day dine-in breakfast menu include the mushroom omelette, with fior di latte and fragrant truffle oil served on crusty ciabatta, and the crumpets with fresh prosciutto, haloumi and a fried egg – a dish that raises eyebrows but we guarantee, it’ll win you over. If coffee isn’t cutting it and you’re feeling like a cheeky bev (or hair of the dog) the menu also offers suggested cocktail pairings and a neat selection of wines and beers, too.
Awesome cafe with relaxed atmosphere ,delicious food and kind stuffs. It is a lovely place for my daughter and I to enjoy our weekend! I recommend the mushroom omelette and the food porridge.
Good food and nice staff. My boy loves the Waffle so much, and the sweet corn & zucchini fritters is my favorite. The open area is so so lovely. Definitely will come again with my family.
came here for their coffee as few local friends recommended as the best coffee. ordered the steak sandwich which is legendary too. love their Homemade horseradish sauce. definitely coming back soon.
The place is just beautiful and the staff are friendly. The day I went they were super busy but we’re still very friendly. The breakfast was tasty. However the added ham on the eggs benny didn’t feel like it was worth it. The ham was thin and flimsy l, something thicker and luxurious would have been better. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the coffees were great.
Our frantic urban lifestyles now demand that we rely on, and put our faith in others to source fresh convenient meals, that taste just like mums home cooking. Enter @urbanprovedore .
The team here pride themselves in sourcing and serving quality produce, with both dine in, and readymade takeaway meals. The bonus is, it’s all wrapped up beautifully in a feel good space. They’ve got the lot; upholstered private booths, window benches saturated in natural light, stylish lighting, and warm oak furnishings.
They've also got espresso and filter coffee, and a new winter brrlunch menu.
Try the Yorkshire Benedict, wigh beetroot cured gravlax, or the Open Crumpets with prosciutto crudo.

We visited this cozy -homey cafe for lunch on Sunday. The cafe wasn't too busy. They have seating both outside and inside. We had 3 dishes and 2 drinks (immunity and Pink) The drinks were pretty good! We had Avocado, Sweet corn fritters and Souffle Waffles. For us everything was good except the avocado. It was sour and salty we feel like there was too much condiment. They also have variety of preprepped meals at the counter.
Urban Provedore is located on Toorak Road in South Yarra. It’s a lovely open area with seating outside as well as utilising the sunshine along the windows. On entering we were impressed with the range of take out options including some lovely fresh salads.
We started with coffees & decided on a few dishes to share & smoothies to wash it all down. The triple berry smoothie was light & creamy but I preferred the non dairy mango & pineapple smoothie.
The sweet corn & zucchini fritters were absolutely amazing, some of the best I’ve tried. Served with avocado, relish, poached egg & covered in salted cheese. We added bacon & we loved that the bacon was incorporated into the dish instead of just sitting on the side. The flavours were sensational & we demolished them in record time.
We also tried the greens & gravlax which was a vibrant salad of broccoli, purple kale, sweet peas, ocean trout gravlax, labneh & super seeds. A fresh & healthy dish which is always a nice option.
We finished with the soufflé waffles, served with vanilla cream, freeze dried citrus & mandarin. A nice light dish & the perfect ending to our brunch.
The staff at Urban Provedore were friendly & welcoming & we loved the range of pre packed fresh salad options & sweet goodies on offer at the counter. Thanks so much for having us in.
I have dropped in here on a couple of occasions to get a coffee before a movie, so it was a pleasant surprise to be invited to try a few of their brunch items.
The cafe itself has been open for several years, when it first opened, it was a much needed lift to Toorak Road. I'm glad that they have maintained the interior so it feels as crisp as when it first opened. Light filled, nice amount of wood, decent amount of seating.
In terms of the food, the salads were incredibly inviting, alluring.... dare I say... sexy? Anyone that has told you that you can't make friends with salad has not gone to Urban Provedore. I'm tempted to get some salads takeaway for a meal at night to accompany my protein or for lunch at work.
The absolute star dish is the zucchini and corn fritters with sprinkled salted cheese. Oh to the em GEE! it was good. My friend woofed these down so fast. When a dish visually entices you, but satisfies you also, you know you are on a winner. It's a five star dish.
Decent coffee and juices - very friendly service. It's a great cafe to for the South Yarra mums (and the people that love them)!
booked a table on sunday for brunch. lovely place with great food and coffee. The staff is very welcoming and friendly with great service. It has become my every week brunch spot with friends. Definately book a table if going on weekends, its quite busy.
Ok so I fell of my keto diet wagon and the first thing I went for is a bacon and egg roll. 😂 I’m back on the diet now but I have to say they do a great breakfast roll.
It had this spicy relish on it... just yum.
My kids had a muffin and they lost a point as it was dry floury inside so was just a bad mix but the staff were EXCELLENT! It’s always good to have people with a personality working in hospitality - as most around the area are so beige it was great to see such a good energy amongst the staff.
The coffee was also great. I saw they did olives and all sorts of things inside so I’ll pop in again soon!
Great brunch spot with good coffee, small but well executed menu and comfortable atmosphere. I had the corn and zucchini fritters with bacon. One of the tastiest fritters dishes going around. And a massive portion size!
The service was prompt and the staff were friendly. The almond and soy coffees were nice and tasty. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere on the Saturday morning.

Visited for lunch, service was good & it was enjoyable.
Lunch menu was ok i think brunch might have been a better option. I had the lasagna it was good, hubby had the burger also good but lacked a bit of wow factor.
Staff were attentive and polite. I was there for lunch and had the truffle mushroom- there wasn't a huge hit of truffle in there however was still delicious. Lunch came out in about 10-15min which was pretty quick for peak lunch time. I would recommend :)
The nut and prune bar was delicious and the turmeric latte was one of the best I have ever had! Haven’t tried the food so it’s a bit hard to rate higher but no doubt when I do, my rating will go up lol.
Food: Having heard mixed reviews about this place I was a little unsure what to expect but we ordered 4 dishes, all cooked well and tasted great. Good portion sizes too. The coffee is also good.
Atmosphere: The fit out is fairly simple, looks a little dated I felt but it has a pleasant relaxed atmosphere. They offer a good range of takeaway food so try and avoid sitting near the counter as this can get a little crowded with people coming in and out.
Service: We found the service really friendly, staff were helpful, made menu suggestions and were very attentive.
Would I recommend it: It's not quite as dazzling as some South Yarra/Chapel Street cafes but it offers good solid meals and friendly service.
I don't understand why previous reviews rated this place savagely.
Got the $5.5 regular coffee and banana bread/muffin combo and was pretty pleased.
Sure, they don't have the best coffee ever, but it ain't bad at all!
Butter-toasted banana bread was pretty good too.
Place and ambience was very nice.
Called in here for a coffee this morning.
The staff were really friendly and welcoming. My strong skinny latte was pretty good. Strong without being too bitter.
I got the impression that this is the kind of cafe that ppl sit in for hours reading the paper or sitting on their laptops at the window watching the world go by.
Mmnn I was in n out! Haha it's only Friday!
Happy place always whenever we are craving for big breakfast. Big breakfast and truffled mushroom are so good! Portion is massive and we love hanging out there with coffee for our lovely afternoon with books reading.
I only had a coffee (as they refused to sell me their doughnuts because they weren't fresh...how awesome of them was that??? Most cafes I know would have sold a stale doughnut to me with a smile) and it was magical. So creamy and smooth, it was my coffee highlight of our Melbourne trip (and that's saying something).
Great coffee at Urban Provedore! Beautiful decor and tasty food. An all-round solid choice when looking for somewhere for breakfast or lunch. The venue is bright and airy, with plenty of tables and windows that fold back to create an open-air feel in the summer. Staff are friendly too. Recommended.
Small menu which has something for everyone. Service was great even though they were busy. This place is classy..in my opinion one of the nicest places to visit in south yarra. Keep up the good work guys!
I remember coming here with my friends for the first time in 2014 and I saw this cute cafe sitting near South Yarra station. The service there was great as we were friendly greeted and shown to our seats.
We looked through their menu and they had quite a lot of offer. I ordered my soy mocha which was beautifully made as the flavours and aromas were just perfect.
As for the dishes we ordered, for 4 girls we ordered 5 dishes and they were all different.
Everything was presented in a simple yet beautiful way, and each dish was well made. My favourite was the porridge and the scrambled eggs dish!!

What a classy brunch spot right in the heart of South Yarra. Everything about this place is so ridiculously on point I don't even know where to begin! Bottom line is this: super personable waitresses, interior decor that's as good as eye candy, amazing ambience, solid food and the perfect setting for a lazy brunch.
A little gem of a cafe on Toorak rd just off the chapel st intersection. I had the most divine crumbed oysters there today. Will definitely back for more tasty morsels.
What a lucky find! I interrupted their closing down procedures but was still served with a friendly smile. The Buffalo Yoghurt was pretty tasty, but it was the smashed avocado dish that really impressed. I could taste mint, parsley and lemon in the dish, alongside the beautiful in-house cured or smoked salmon (unsure) for an extra $4.
The space was simply elegant, and the staff were cute to boot! 5/5
Got the Mushroom Truffle something- It was ciabatta bread, sautéed mushrooms & goat's cheese, and I got a side of chorizo. I also ordered a soy hot chocolate. Everything was delicious! It would have given this review a 4 only I think the prices are a bit steep. My side of chorizo which only ended up to be 5/6 pieces was $5. It also was a bit tough (chewy). A bit of a reduction in price and I'll recommend this more highly. The ambience is very relaxed and calm which was nice.
Delicious for breakfast! You must definitely have the truffled mushrooms. Lovely texture and flavour and perfect for breakfast! Can't wait to go back!
MENU - Lovely little menu to choose from with all your favourites!!
SERVICE - Really nice staff very welcoming and good service!
ATMOSPHERE- Awesome interior feels like you are sitting in a cafe in europe with all the produce to tempting you to purchase. Great decor throughout.
FOOD/ COFFEE- PERFECT!!! Cooked to perfection!!! Porridge was devine and eggs cooked perfectly!!! Coffee was lovely as well!
DOG FRIENDLY- Would leave the pooch at home for this one and enjoy the inside.
Set in the heart of south yarra on toorak road!! Cant walk past without having a look in the window at all the magnificent produce to buy!!!!! Highly recommend stopping by for a bite to eat, staff a solo friendly and food was delish!!!!! Plus why not do a bit if the grocery shopping while your there!!!!
GREAT CAFE!!!
After having our meals completely forgotten about, the staff members were kind enough to serve us our meals free of charge. This gesture was made even better by the fact that the meals were absolutely delicious. The sizing is decent and the plates are full of flavour. The coffee is also incredibly good. With professional and friendly staff members, excellent service and amazing meals, a visit to Urban Provedore is a must.
During my stay in Melbourne, I drove past this place so many times and always wanted to try it, I only had the chance to get a takeaway coffee at around 4pm I think, coffee was great - what attracted me was the interior! All their products were displayed very neat and tidy. Kind if let down by the staffs lack of friendly service, no acknowledgment when I walked in until I said hi first at the counter.
Lovely fit out and friendly service - a very homely feel to the place.
I had the pumpkin risotto which was fab. Even tastier once I added a little hot sauce - see pic.
My friend had the roast lamb Turkish sandwich which was so-so.
Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time for coffee

We had lunch and they had a 15 minute wait for a table compared to the other places that was an hour, the staff are friendly and polite, apologized that we would have to wait. The coffee was smooth and sweet. I had the big breakfast and everything was cooked well. I really enjoyed the meal and the service, no complaints as was impressed.
excellent food, service and value (big tasty portions) would highly recommend and will be back next time we are in Melbourne :)

Calling all foodies to try the winter brunch spread at @urbanprovedore to warm your soul with dishes that are hearty and ever so delicious! ❄️🍳🍔🍸
Absolutely fell in love with the baked eggs which had a rich tomato gravy with beans and chorizo. Would have liked a bit more filling but the sauce did it justice.
The truffle omelette is great for egg lovers loaded with mushrooms, tomato and fior de latte.
Being a chef, I pay more attention to detail and would have actually liked to taste the truffle.
The pork bun was well executed and absolutely enjoyed the garlic parmesan fries that came along with it.
Even after taking numerous shots and videos, they still tasted good.
They have a new winter menu launching soon but till then you can enjoy these winter warmers along with some of their cocktails.
Located in popular street in South Yarra. Easy to access, and is spacious in the cafe.
You can spend a time to be relaxed here.
Great food and perfect coffee, not even mention the great service, will definitely come back again.
Delicious flavours ! Came with four people all our meals came out at the same time and everyone enjoyed everything. There was a bit of confusion with splitting our bill at the end, but overall I definitely recommend as a lovely breakfast/brunch spot.
Nice brunch! I love the black truffle and mushroom omelette, especially the tomato above. Really beautiful flat white!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. It’s a pleasant space and the food is delicious. My dish was the Spanish beans casserole. It was an exceptionally sound choice. The bean stew is a beauty - rich and full of flavour - and the potato croquettes that accompany it are very nicely done. The chorizo is well worth getting too as an add on. It was expertly charred and scores and had a wonderful fun little kick to it. Overall, the dish is a very good one and most enjoyable to eat. My partner loved her breakfast arepa too. Like, really enjoyed it. The coffee to finish was excellent too. Close to faultless. A shout out to the servers here as well. They just were so good. Friendly and so efficient. Viva Colombia!
