Such a cute little cafe in the heart of Bourke street food mall. Can tell it’s a popular spot for a lot of business people and was nice to hear how the barista knew the regulars’ name and order. I went for a soy latte which was perfect and hit the spot for a cold day like today. Keen to try a sweet treat from their display window next time I pop in!
Accessed off Lt Collins st in Coromandel Place, coffee is great, egg tart essential. Vegemite egg start is tops for mine. Reuben is good for lunch.
A hidden gem!! Coffee is consistently good, staff are super friendly and food is super tasty! Try the breakfast egg tarts and hot duck roll!
Oli and Levi Coromandel Place is tucked down a Laneway off little Collins street. I came here for lunch today with a work friend. The place is very small- 1 small share table and a kitchen. The staff are really friendly though and the food was decent.
I had the Asian slaw with Avocado and my friend had a bagel with bacon. Our lunch was very reasonably priced and service was really quick.
DO: The burger and hot dog. Sooo good, fresh, quick and delish.
DON'T: You dare leave without trying their egg tarts.
TIP: Gets heaps busy in the morning but don't worry, line moves pretty quickly.
Great location down the end of the laneway serves as a cosy retreat - both the tarts and coffee are spot on! Staff are lovely and are always playing great music!
I tried Oli & Levi's Coromandel Place branch and the duck baguette was very nice and reasonably priced. The one coffee I've tried was a good standard, but nothing more. I was told by my friend that her beef cheek was excellent.
You wander down into a deserted laneway off little Collins and wonder what could possibly be there to attract so many people. A coffee shop of course. Their coffee is great and love the soy latte. The almond milk they use is too organic and natural and does not taste great - but I'm sure it's healthy - just not what I'm looking for. Despite it looking so busy if you did want to have a casual meeting on the communal tables you do usually find one. Also they have brekkie quiche like tarts for $2.50. I tried the vegemite and cheese one which was delicious. They look small but incredibly filling and a good healthy (?) alternative to muffins or sugary pastries.
Not bad - for a lunch time snack oil and Levi seem to have some good pre-made options (breakfast wraps, pulled pork etc), only criticism would really be their coffee, is very hit and miss. Have had some amazing coffees, and some also very burnt coffees. I guess you'll have to try it out and see what you get! But food ain't too bad.
The coffee is awesome and the duck roll is amazing!!! Cool vibe
Do try the soups here. They are just awesome. The waiters are very approachable to the point that everyone chats with them as they leave. Being that I don't eat bread often I can't really eat much else here as a lot of pastry or sandwiches. So can't give a perfect score. I prefer salad and soups. More soup for me please :)
One of the best spots for a roll and coffee at this end of town. Everything is super fresh and prepared with care. The coffee is always good - though some mugs for a dine-in large coffee would be appreciated. The biggest problem is trying to get a seat at lunch time!
Laneway Latte. Fantastic coffee (best almond latte around), amazing staff and aesthetically pleasing interior. Highly recommended as an example of why Melbourne has a raging caffeine addiction.
Great coffee break. Oli & Levi down the alley on little collins st is an amazing find. Shout out to curly and frenchie, two of the coffee baristas that make you feel welcome with a startling array of coffee, whether you want dairy, almond, coconut or soy milk.
My favourite hole in the wall. I looooove this place. Come here often for a salad for lunch and the staff are so lovely. they have made the effort to remember my name and always happy to chat. I pretty much always get the salad there, its great so tasty and healthy. Only thing i could say it the consistency could be improved in the dressing, some days it can be extremely salty. Other than that i cannot fault it
Awesome coffee, friendly happy people!
Great coffee!. I rate Postal Hall around the corner for their coffee but this establishment wins hands down. Make sure you try their banana bread too! It's nice and thick, not soggy, and is always toasted to perfection. Highly recommended.
VerY Nice. Had an awesome duck roll my wife had the vego sandwich. It was very tasty and the coffee was spot on and service with a smile. Very happy customers
Worth seeking out. It was a hot Friday in early January when my wife and I arrived at Oli & Levi, just before midday. I'd taken her there to try the Peking Duck Baguette, and Pulled Pork in a Brioche Bun. We ordered a couple of orange juices as well; these came in a large glass and were fresh and cooling.
The rolls arrived promptly and my wife was delighted with the tastes. The Duck roll comes hot with a Viet style salad (including mint) and the Hoisin sauce; the sweet bun complements the pork beautifully; and there are many layers of flavour provided by the fresh ingredients.
If you have room there is a selection of tarts and pastries to have with your coffee. But get in early if you can. Highly recommended.20140110
Hidden laneway gem. Great coffee; great egg tarts; friendly baristas who make the effort to remember your name and order.
Quintessential Melbourne laneway cafe gem - the fact that it is so wildly popular despite being situated down a one-way cul-de-sac off an otherwise quiet street is testament to its quality.
Consistently good coffee. Great coffee. Their savoury tarts and hot duck rolls are also very tasty.
Five out of five. Perfect coffee, friendly prompt service, great prices (sweet little berry crumble for only $2.00), comfortable environment and the x factor has to be the location. Tucked away down an alley it’s still busy which means that it relies on its well deserved reputation.
One more hidden gem in Melbourne CBD lane way. Coffe was smooth n brilliant! Well done guys,
Thank goodness!. First coffee of the day (at 3.17pm -why?). Back at my desk and sipped it. Felt compelled to write a rave review of their coffees. Spot on every time.
Great little find. So glad I found this place after working in the area for around a month. Good coffee, friendly staff and beautiful little egg tarts that are so affordable I had to check twice to make sure I wasn't imagining it.
Lovely!. Lovely new addition to the neighbourhood. Beautiful home made pastries and coffee, welcoming staff. Hope they do start opening for weekend breakfasts soon!
Yum. Just had a coffee from there - fantastic coffee and fantastic service.
The food looked good too! Be back to try that tomorrow.
Great coffeee!. Great little cafe, has some of the best coffee in Melbourne and the egg tarts are to die for.
Hidden gem!
To list Oli & Levi’s attributes, which has only been open for two months: staff are lovely, prices are fair, coffee is great, food is amazing. Oh and it’s down a lane, so tourists will feel special for discovering it. As will bored officeworkers such as ourselves.

Oli Levi is a sensational find off Little Collins Street tucked away in a laneway and highlighted by a yellow awning. I want to celebrate this little beauty without giving away the fact this could be Melbourne's best kept secret. Oli Levi has a cool name and a cool vibe. Owner Lloyd Smith named the cafe after his dogs. Fair enough to etch the legacy of your pets into Melbourne cafe legend. Oli and Levi is a colourful vibrant space. The cafe displays some vibrant art including a funky French piece adorning the walls. Retro and quirky fittings abound including the green industrial lamps lighting up the kitchen.
Stuffed full of sticky shredded duck, this sandwich was fantastically flavoursome. I really loved the accompanying salad, generously flavoured with mint, coriander and scallions, giving the sandwich a funky Asian twist. The bread roll, sourced from Abbotsford Convent Bakery no less, was light and crusty.
Campus recruitment season has kickstarted with the passing of the FMAA Corporate Cocktails this week. Often, curious university students / hopeful candidates will want to understand the multitude of tasks and deadlines and meetings and calls that make up our day. To do all that, and to do all that well with enthusiasm, accuracy and finesse, we need fuel. There are some days that even I will succumb to eating for hunger rather than for mere pleasure. Around the office, we are spoilt for choices, and I love breakfast tarts at Oli and Levy's and lunch time salads at Mamma's Boy.
Amazing atmosphere, coffee and egg tart was fantastic. Highly recommend.
Decent homely breakfast, bacon egg wrap is nicely done
Nice quiet cafe in an inconspicuous alley. Great simple breakfast options with room for sitting.
Tiny cafe down a laneway with unique range of savoury egg tarts from cheese and vegemite to feta and chorizo. Coffee is by Allpress and could be a little stronger to earn 5 stars.
Located in a side street, this cafe is busy yet vibrant. Coffee is ok and staff is friendly. Inside seating is available.
Great egg tarts and coffee at this back lane location.
Great little Cafe with a modest choice of food. Would highly recommend the almond croissants!
Tiny cafe. Really great coffee, exceptional well made. Wonderful tarts savoury or sweet. Very busy. Well worth seeking this place out. We have walked the CBD looking for great coffees. We found this one by accident on the day we are leaving Melbourne. Queues out side as people wait for take aways. Highly recommended if you want a very good coffee.
