Review L'burger - Melbourne

Michelle Nguyen
Absolutely top tier service, food quality and pricing. I’ve come here a decent amount of times now, enough to possibly be a regular and I love it, the food is done well, super tasty with the occasional weekly amazing deals. I’ve tried the American BBQ event (amazing price deal for enough food to fill 2 people) and the Charlie Parma Friday (got a drink on the house for me and a friend!!) and both times were absolutely delicious!! The staff are always super busy but they really do put in the effort and definitely take good care of their customers. I came in again tonight for some takeaway and without me noticing, I was given a box of chips for free! Absolutely adored the surprise! Love the staff, food and price, definitely recommend L’Burger and will be a long time customer!💕

L'Burger also houses The Art of Fried Chicken and Hot Dogs! Service here is polite and quick. Their menu options are great for burgers, fried chick and hotdogs. Prices are reasonable but not cheap. Flavours are really nice too. Worth a visit

(On behalf of my wife) They took almost 40 minutes to finish my order. Caused me to be late for my afternoon class at 3pm and I had to skip my lunch for it. I had to wait until after class to finally have my “lunch” at 5:30pm. Reason for edit: My wife mistook today for Friday when she ordered the chicken waffles. Our sincere apologies.

TL;DR not a first choice place, but not terrible. This place was alright, nothing special but not bad. Burger buns were cold but crispy, I assume taken out of the fridge and put onto the grill/pan for a moment to Crispen them up, the effect was a nice crunchy bun but the temperature difference was a little off-putting as you bite into colder than room temperature bun and then a warm meat patty. The meat patties themselves were fine, not bad but not great, just adequate. The hotdog had very little depth of flavour in the Frankfurt but the toppings and sauce were well done. The customer service was a little lacking, there was a time were someone was waiting at the counter for several minutes (sitting down but clearly wanting to be seen to) before the cashier appeared, my experience differed in that they were at the counter and greeted me well when I entered but it was noticeable that that person wasn't being served, a couple walked in and then left after about a minute when noone showed up to greet them

Morish, juicy, tender and flavourful popcorn chicken. A good hint of spice, doesnt detract from the delicate flavour. The smaller of the two portion sizes is plenty large. The hotdogs are down right dirty but delicious, good flavour combination, the milky bun is a bit like a lightly toasted sponge cake. Classic burger is sick, fillings balance the meat nicely. Come with appetite. Way too much food. Banger tracks.

Fantastic burgers and chips. The beef patty in the buns was especially good. Very nice and juicy but with crispy edges. The grilled chicken in the chicken burger was juicy as well and not dry at all. Chips were fresh and slightly crispy with a nice potato flavour. Service was friendly and quick and very reasonable prices for the quality and quantity of food.

Absolutely the best chicken popcorn and fried chicken and waffles in Melbourne. Great quality and low prices. The service was friendly, fast and attentive. Highly, highly recommend. Hidden jewel in Hawthorne

I was so impressed but this little burger place- chill modern vibes, lovely quick friendly service and delicious juicy finger licking burgers with perfectly cooked hot chips! Their milkshakes were creamy and so yummy! Best of all they are so reasonably priced 😁 🤤Definitely would recommend- I know I’ll be back with friends! 💖🍔🍟🥤💖

This is a "better late than never" review from our visit in 2019. We ordered a L'Beef, The Luxemburger, Tasting Plate and finished it off with a Mixed Berry Belgian Waffle. That L'Beef was amongst the best burgers I've ever tasted - so good! Both the burgers were cooked to perfection. There was a young crowd of students from the nearby university enjoying the burgers, talking and laughing which gave the place a good vibe. The staff were really sweet people, the service was friendly and quick, and the restaurant atmosphere itself was quite nice.

Beef burgers were both cooked medium properly, not overdone like many fast food burger joints. Excellent friendly service and the restaurant itself was very nice. Will be coming back.

Wide range of burgers 😍 highly recommend the prawn noir. Wagyu beef was also very delicious and staff was super nice!!

Food was okay/average. But what made us give a bad review was the slow and inefficient service we received. Burgers took forever to make and serve. Front of house server touched my burger bun (not sure for what reason? She’s not kitchen staff) as she was chatting with the chef instead of serving us our food. Servers were then also oblivious when our sides were ready to be served and were focused on other things. At this point, we had already finished our burgers. Left the restaurant pretty dissatisfied.

We have always loved their burgers and sweet potato fries, but today decided to give their fried chicken meal a try. We were pleasantly surprised at how crispy and JUICY they were! Best fried chicken we've had for awhile, better than Gami (sooo dry) down the road. Did I mention juicy? SO JUICY!

Nice atmosphere with smooth jazzy interpretation of pop music... Had the lux which was delicious and juicy though I would have preferred the bacon to be crispy rather than just edge-crisped. Wife found the Garden acceptable as it was her first vegan burger
Food Perspective
I enquired over Instagram about their restaurant and got a reply straight away! Its great to see they advertise they are halal certified on their Instagram and have a section of halal food items on their menu. I tried the chicken burger and shared the Wagyu beef burger which were both soooo good!!! They definitely look as DELICIOUS as it tastes.

Since it was hot, we also had the shake and waffles (my favvvv) and definitely left the place feeling very full and satisfied! Customer service is 110% and always very accommodating. Will definitely come back whenever I'm in the area for an amazing feed.

The burgers were so good and the place was crowded, can definitely see why! The highlight of my meal was the waffles which were to die for and the best I’ve ever had! The customer service was great and the food came out fast. Left feeling satisfied and happy, I highly recommend this place for quality burgers and desserts
Nuggets And Crosses
This place has the best sweet potato fries I’ve had yet, perfectly sweet and crunchy, with a hint of salt. The burger patties were well seasoned and the milk bun was buttery and soft. The sauces weren’t over or under done, like it often is at other places. Super affordable for its quality, would definitely recommend!

If you visit #hawthorn , it’s worth saying hi to @lburger3122 , the family-friendly burger place at #hawthorn !
*
📍L Burgers @lburger3122
Glenferrie Road
Overall score: 20/25 or ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
*
What you should order: sharing plate, prawn noir burger
*
Review: Here are some reasons why L Burgers are worth a try:
1. The meat is halal, which would surely be music to Muslim students who are studying nearby!
2. Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious this american diner inspired place is. The shopfront may look small, but rest assured it’s big enough for birthday parties and family gatherings.
3. Generous portions. The sharing plate consists of pickled salad (with daikon yay!), sweet potato fries, 4 chicken wings and curry puffs. All of that for only $18 seems like a steal for me and can easily be shared among a family of 4.
4. Customisable burgers. On the day we came, the chorizo was sadly out of stock but they allowed us to add egg to the southern fried chicken burger. While we would have enjoyed more crunchy burger, L burgers tried to keep things more healthy - and as a result you don’t feel so bloated and sick after your meal.
5. You could taste fresh milk within the milkshakes which made it less eeky too (personally I hate too much cream, artificial flavours and sugar in my food). They were really messy to drink though, so be careful with the chocolate

Will I be back? Yes, if I’m craving burgers and am in the area. Would be a good pre-movie

Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ambience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Presentation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

A spacious diner style burger joint with old school music.

Riviera - one of the best burgers I've tried. The toasted black pan de mie milk bun stays crisp through the time it took to eat. Adding to that, the paprika inspired pattie was quite crisp with the most flavorful filling of corn and avo salsa, grilled mushrooms, house made jalapeno salsa and crisp mixed beans.

Luxemburger - Toasted black Pain de mie milk bun, porcini mushroom, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, house-made L'pickle salsa, house-made tomato onion jam, smoky hickory bbq sauce, grilled Angus Wagyu beef, double smoked free range bacon with melted Gruyere cheese mix. The burger is perfect for those wanting a meaty burger.

We were giving the opportunity to try the tasting platter. The Australian sweet potato were ever so crisp and sweet. The onion rings were impressive. Whilst crisp, it was also chewy. The three dipping sauces provided all complimented.

Loved this place and thankyou for the invite.

L'burger is the epitome of the modern and next-level burger experience.

Conveniently located on the hotspot, Glenferrie Road, L'burger is putting out the most creative burgers and delicious sides.

We got the 'Prawn Noir' which obviously contained prawns - my fave! And so unique for a burger too! This burger really nailed the crispiness factor, which made every bite absolutely mouthwatering and so juicy. We also got the 'Southern Fried L'Chicken' a classic burger with amazingly succulent chook. We ordered the 'Spicy Loaded Fries' which were the perfect potato chips covered in sriarcha and jalapeños - as a spice-lover I was in heaven! The 'Caramel Pretzel Malt' was visually stunning and had the yummiest flavour- it was also perfect to cool the spice kick from the fries.

Definitely heading back to try the other unique and delicious burgers on offer here!

Waited 30 min for two burgers. Ran out of Slaw and gave me lettuce. How can you run out of slaw. It’s the most important component of the burger. Wish I could get my money back.

Delicious burgers, very nice beef flavour cooked perfectly. Atmosphere in the restaurant is very comfortable and all the staff are lovely. Good service and great food 💗
Full Time Wholesomeness
French train themed decor and ambience with elongated booths. Ordered two burgers (Riviera and Hot Angus) with loaded fries. Enjoyed the ride!
Happiness.is.food
Delicious and affordable burgers are what you can expect here. I always get the standard beef burger so I can see how it stacks up against others. For $11 this was great value. Patty was a decent thickness, there was an onion chutney, lettuce, tomato and a couple of sauces. Burger held together well on the bread and it was damn delicious. Chicken wings came out piping hot from the fryer and had a really great crispy coating, but didn’t make you feel like you’d eaten a bucket of oil. I’m also a sucker for loaded fries. When I saw had a special of caesar Loaded fries I was ecstatic. There was no questioning what I was going to order. I was slightly underwhelmed when they came out, as I had expectations of a full blown caesar salad on my fries. But this was a classic, don’t judge the loaded fries by their look. The sauce was YUMMMMMMM. Bang on!

We arrived around Hawthorn area and found parking very close to the spot as there a shopping centre close by.
The place is located in the main road, on Glenferrie Road Hawthorn, just right next to Glenferrie Station and in between other very popular eating venues but it is clearly spotted due to its clean and bright blue and white colours. It features some big biiiiiiig L BURGER logo so you really cannot miss it 😂

The entrance is not very wide but leads to a long dining area and multiple seat in both sides. The lights give a yellow and welcoming ambience to the whole set up and it is impossible not to think of your typical American diner place.

The staff was welcoming and asked us where we wanted to seat as even though it was Saturday lunch time, it wasn’t surprisingly very busy. I asked what they recommend the most and what were their best and most favourite burgers and here’s what we had:

- L'Vego - is it their elite vegan burger with a toasted vegan bun and dressed with a layer of chipotle mayonnaise that was AMAZING AMAZING 🙌 - and not slightly spicy and I was expecting it to be! - as well as garlic aioli mayonnaise - again the BEST thing ever 👌Even though I am not a huge fan of dips and sauces I was so impressed here and I have to say that the sauces play such an important role in achieving that mouthwatering and juicy taste. And these two, vegan friendly, were just superb! 👌 The bun is incredibly achieved too, slightly crispy and at the same time soft and not too dense. The sole taste of the vegan bun in incredible and again exceeded my expectations - I’ve been seriously surprised of how incredible vegan burgers have become lately and how venues are making progress! 👏 it also came with some crisp fresh lettuce, tomato, and grilled sliced red capsicum and house-made L’pickle salsa. About the patty, well, even though it wasn’t the best vegan patty I have tried, it was still very well achieved, flavorful and very pleasant patty. Not greasy and not too dense, with a crispy outside and soft inside, this potato, corn and broccoli vegetarian patty will be loved by many without a doubt and I do recommend it it you visit this place!

- L'Beef - I also had their highlighted and most popular beef burger, replacing the milk bun with a vegan bun and removing the cheese. With mustard dill pickle mayonnaise (decadent and delicious! - seriously, like I said I am not even a 'dips' person and every single dressing from this place was just terrific!), some crisp fresh lettuce, tomato, house-made L’Pickle salsa, house-made tomato onion jam, atisan tomato sauce and a double grilled free-range Angus/Wagyu beef patty (yes, I asked to double it up because I wanted to thoroughly see and try the meat here) I can see why it is a popular one! The beef was pink on the inside, medium cooked, and tender. A little too dense/thick, but still very good tasty meat and overall a good burger.

- Prawn Noir - it is quite to find a prawn burger so I decided to also give this a go! Yes, 2 burgers weren't enough for me 😂 . It came with a toasted black pain de mie milk bun, and of course it won me over right from the start because of its aesthetic looks (the black bun and crispy prawn look. In two words, this burger gave me actually.... mixed feelings! I loved the looks and size along with the bun and the 3 generous panko crumbed fried prawn cutlets - WOW SO GOOD! 🙌 (when I have sushi one my favourite pieces are without a doubt the tempura ones just because of that crunchiness 😂). Here the crumble is so pleasant and again no oil or greasiness! I wasn't a huge fan of the house-made L’slaw and I think it steals a bit of the protagonism from the prawns. It was so intense with the onion inside and cold, contrasting with the warm and crunchy prawns, that I even decided to remove some of it to thoroughly enjoy the prawns. However again, I will highlight how the sauces, lemon caper and chipotle mayonnaise, were again incredible! The lettuce is also still crispy and fresh as well as the tomato, like any of their other burgers and I think that either changing the slaw of removing it completely would work better, but obviously that is just my personal opinion. I think that having some nori here would be a different option and give more additional crunchiness, so this is my friendly suggestion 🤗

- Hot Angus - my friend had this bruger and it came with the instagramable tosted black pain de mIe milk bun, chipotle and garlic aioli mayonnaise, crisp fresh lettuce, tomato, gouse-made Jalapeno salsa, house-made tomato onion jam, a grilled Angus/Wagyu beef patty and topped with melted Gruyere cheese mix and a generous serving of fiery Sriracha sauce. He really liked it and said that the beef was nicely cooked and the bun was again soft and very enjoyable. Not the best burger he had, but still a cute little burger filled with different contrasting tastes!

- Tasting Plate - we also tried a combination of crunchy potato fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings some salad and 2 sauces (Garlic Aioli Mayonnaise and Chipotle Mayonnaise). Again (yes again 😂) I have to highlight the sauces here and they are something you just have to ask for, FOR REAL, if you visit this place. The normal fries weren’t that good to be honest, not very crispy, neither were the onion rings - despite not being oily, they came soft and mushy and without that supposed to be crispiness, lacking flavour. None of us was a fan and at the end I even mentioned that to the cook and suggested bigger and more crispy rings as friendly suggestion. On the other hand the sweet potato fries were just perfect, not overly salty and just crunchy and decadent... that I ate them all and didn't share many 😂

- Drinks - I actually didn’t have any drink because they had no options besides water and their Specialty Soft Drinks. Their coffee and hot drink machine was broken so I stick with just plain water. My friend had a Ginger Beer and said it was an enjoyable choice and refreshing.

One of the things I love more about visiting places is the fact that they cater for all dietary requirements and have several options that you can choose (and not just one single one - which is good and should be appreciated but still could make you feel a bit limited). And L burger options satisfy not only the meat lovers, with guaranteed quality but they also Halal accredited and we have a some vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.

However I found that they had many vegetarian options and patties but vegan ones only two. Like I said, it is admirable and thoughtful of them to still have those two but I think that from a costumer strategy perspective, just by removing the cheese from the vegetarian patties them could have much more options from vegans and lactose intolerance people!
Another less positive point goes to their drinks and dessert choices. All of them all milk based and I think they could definitely have at least one option suitable for vegans or a more allergen friendly option. I really wanted to have had a milkshake a smoothie (or any drink at all!) along with the burger and I think many people would agree that it would be a great pleasant combo indeed. Their waffles looks very tempting too but again they are not allergen friendly and I think that with so many other venues having great tasty desserts for vegans, if they don’t change that, they might lose some costumers. Which is a real pity and I will certainly be waiting for some legendary vegan milkshakes and desserts for my next visit!

A very cosy venue, good to hang around and overall this was quite an enjoyable experience!

Nice range of options, friendly staff, great student-friendly pricing (and the afternoon discount is 🤩). Very happy with the quality of the burgers. Sure, it takes slightly longer to receive food than at Maccas, but that’s because they actually cook it FRESH 😋which is so appreciated. Wings are fresh and hot - better than KFC 🤯😱 Nice decor, table was clean, and for the price I have zero complaints. Grill’d has competition! 👌
Just My Opinion
3.5/5

Dinner with zomato gold. Came in on a fairly quiet night, no wait and plenty of tables to choose from.
Service was prompt and friendly, no problems there.

They had 4 vego options which really helped me (usually there arent too many decent vego burgers out there) I had the ‘Riviera’ and chips

Riviera was a really decent burger, had good flavour and kept me interested. I was satisfied with it and it filled me up (with the help of the chips). Definitely one of the better vego burgers (from a fast food shop)🤘🏽🤘🏽

Nice interior decor and well set up. The staff are nice and helpful. The cheeseburger was tasty however a bit dry. The chips were nicely seasoned and cooked. Overall an average burger spot, nothing to rave home about.

This is one of my favourite place for burgers. I have literally never eaten such deliecious burgers before. They had a chicken burger in their special menu. It made my day. Everything was really fresh and ambience was perfect as well.
ABC Eats🍜🍙🍩
Was looking for some dessert after dinner in Hawthorn and found this on Zomato Gold, this tempted us to go and try out their waffles.

I must say, the waffles here were not as I expected it to be. It was very crunchy yet soft on the inside. The apple caramel was a very good match to go with the waffle and vanilla ice cream.🤤

Next time I'll need to go and try out the burgers and chips, they look good as well😜

Partner reckons it’s “l’best” on Glenferrie Rd. Gluten free options available. The patties were juicy, the sauce was excellent. Chips were crispy and hot. Not soggy. Comfortable clean simple relaxed setting. Decent value.
5 Second Rule
Great spot for a burger, I had the Luxemburger and the crispy chips and the beer battered chips. Both were good but the beer battered ones were my preferred chips. the KitKat malt shake was the perfect end to the meal.

My boyfriend and I checked out L’Burger in Hawthorn and grabbed two of the vegan burgers, sweet potato fries and onion rings. The burgers were pretty good, but the star of the dish was definitely the sweet potato fries. They had some kind out batter goodness on them that made them better than your average sweet potato chip (if that’s possible). Staff was super friendly too.
BevLovesFood
Ordered L’Chicken Southern Fried, The Luxemburger & a side of Combo Onion Rings.. Patty was nice & juicy, love how spacious the place is. Sweet potato fries was good but Onion rings was quite disappointing, too much flour, cant really taste the onion.
Swastika Poddar Goenka
The best burger place in Hawthorn for vegetarians. They have few options on their menu and you get to choose. I have been here several times. Their L'Vego is the classic and the Riviera is a nice healthy option. They have Vegan options too.
Thats My Food
Finally, I went to L’burger which has been on my list for a very long time. It is located on Glenferrie road and looks like one of the longest restaurants in size on this road.

There are a lot of burger places around this restaurant. It is competing with the likes of the resistance bar and Huxtaburger and I would say doing pretty good in the competetion. The menu is very clear and precise. I got my order on the table fairly quickly and everything was fresh.

Now let us talk about the food. I ordered their spicy chicken wings and the only chicken burger available in the southern fried option. I have to say this right away that the chicken wings were some of the best I have had in a long time. They were crispy, juicy and wrapped up in an amazing sauce. I wanted to have more with every bite that I was having. Even more amazing was the price, only $10 for 10 pieces of chicken wings. I think this was the best offer that I have seen around for chicken wings. If you like crispy chicken wings then this is the place for you.

The burger was also at a very high level. I can't say the same about it as for the wings but it was very good. It was meaty, the bun was fresh, the chicken was juicy. There was the right amount of crunch from the lettuce. The only thing that I did not like about it was the size of the burger. For me, it was a really small one. If the size of the bun was a bit bigger it would have been an awesome burger but this time it was a good one.

I would definitely recommend this place if you want to have some awesome chicken wings and at an amazing price.
Melbourne Lifestyle Blog
I had walked passed this place and read reviews so many times, that I thought I should finely try it. Good veggie and vegan burgers were promised with fun sides like crispy onion rings and chips.
Sadly, this was the first place I’ve reviewed lately where I was left disappointed.

We went here last week coming from Sydney and we were definitely amazed. The food was all so fresh and tasty. Their burgers are so good and you can tell theyre all made fresh and doesnt give you that ugly dirty burger feeling after. Their service is really good and the staff are all lovely. & if you go you have to try their spicy chicken wings. Amazingggg, would definitely go back when im back in Melbourne.

Also, its halal which is definitely a bonus

Went to this place after reading some great reviews. I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't too overly impressed either. Maybe the review gave me too high of expectation. Anyway to the review; the burgers were very good, patty was juicy (very important), ingredients were freshed. My burger had a but if spicy to it, which was nice but I sort of wanted more heat. The chips weren't crunchy, but on soft side. Still tasty for us. Overall the food was on the yummy side.
I have to say that the menu is one of the best variety I have seen. Love the different combinations and gourmet ingredients. It is worth a second visit again.
The service was good though a bit slow, it felt like it was under staff or they were learning. Still it was good. Like the saying, all good things takes time and love.
Liv (nourishinglively)
I had the pleasure of checking out L’burger in Hawthorn. The interior reminded me of an American diner & was super spacious with plenty of tables. The vibe was pretty good throughout the restaurant, it was quite busy when I arrived (peak time) so service wasn’t incredible but I could tell the staff were doing their absolute best given the circumstances. I ordered the Vegan burger with the combo fries of sweet potato and beer battered. The burger was nice, I’d love for there to be a gluten free bun option or even a “naked” bun option as a slightly healthier alternative. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Thanks for having us!
Sunny Days Melbourne
I haven't had a burger for awhile so when I walked past this burger joint, the cravings kicked in at full strength.

I tried the L'beef burger along with their crunchy fries. They say good things come in small packages and at L'Burger, this certainly rings true! I was surprised by how small the burger was but it was certainly delicious. The lettuce was crisp while the beef was juicy and cooked perfectly medium rare. The bun was warm and crispy. Despite the size of the burger, it was actually a very filling meal.

The service was very friendly as well. So for all your burger cravings, L'Burger is a great place to visit!
Jessica Sargeant (Unbeleafablefood)
L’burger has a great location, decor, and it comfortable and spacious inside!

I tried the L’vegan burger, and it was so tasty!!
Soft bun topped with grilled zucchini and red capsicum, a juicy AF patty, tomato, lettuce and vegan mayo.. Oh it hit the spot alright!
Couldn’t decide if I wanted sweet potato or regular fries, so I got a mix. So delicious!

There are so many burger, fries and dessert options at and they cater for GF and halal too. Rodney, Preeti and the team are so friendly and accommodating!

Edit: I went to L'burger again and tried one of the Vegetarian burgers - the Riviera. I subbed out the patty and bun to make in Vegan! It was SO delish! We also had some loaded vegan fries with vegan mayo, spicy sauce and jalepenos. Service was great as it was last time!
A Black Sheep
I am generally not a burger fan, if I could I would avoid having burgers. But this place amazed me. The bun was so soft, and patty was cooked beautifully, tender and juicy and full of flavour. Loved the fat cut chips, crispy on the outside and soft inside. The decor was simple, clean and tidy. Highly recommended.

Had this amazing House-made Belgian waffle with chocolate Oreo cream cheese, gooey choc fudge sauce and accompanied with warm crème anglaise and vanilla bean ice cream. It was nothing but amazing and will definitely visit again :) everything on the menu looks amazing and have a lot more to try ! The outlet is cosy has few tables the pricing is pocket friendly as well! :)

L’Burger is located right close to Glenferrie train station, just look for the Blue sign and an impressively fitted out venue. The subway tiles and signs give the restaurant an established feel even though its relatively young. I liked the soundtrack too which made eating in a good option.

I was hungry as a horse tonight so ordered the double cheeseburger which ain’t nothing scrawny but full sized Angus beef patties with a blended cheese mix, pickles and plenty of sauce. I also ordered a combo onion rings which was a good blend of onions and sweet potato fries. This was something I remembered fondly from my last visit and were delightfully crispy which is often a failing of the sweet potato fries. The burger was a solid build and a messy eat so grab a couple of napkins and a big appetite.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Previous Review
The menu talks up the quality of ingredients and this is how L’Burger is distinguishing itself apart from the many other burger establishments opening up around Melbourne. Fresh not frozen meats and a strong understanding of where items on the menu are sourced. Another area of distinction is the inclusion of a halal menu and seperate halal cooking surfaces and vats so that more can enjoy.
Today I ordered the L’Beef Burger with an extra patty. This was the “base” burger but still came with tomato, lettuce, onion jam, mustard dill pickle mayo and house made salsa. It came out huge and those patties were larger than at other places I’ve eaten at recently, I probably could have not added the extra patty and still been content.
I often can’t decide between sides, so I was a prime candidate for the tasting plate of sides which came with a little bit of everything including beer battered fried, sweet potato fries, onion rings and the house made coleslaw. The standout items on this were this platter were the sweet potato fries because of how crispy they were. My major disappointment with SPF elsewhere is the sog factor. I loved the selection on offer on this platter.
I washed all this good stuff down with a strawberry cheesecake milkshake (malt). This was tasty but heavy and was the prime reason I had to pass up the opportunity to try the new to the menu waffles (although these did look incredible).
Also good to see L’Burger have an alcoholic drinks menu for when you feel like a beer or wine with your burger.
Thank you so much for inviting me in to try your great burgers.
Carissa Lee
Nice burger joint, we came here using a discounted app for the restaurant, so we weren't expecting much. But their burgers were not bad, and their chips are nice too.
OverEating101
A great spot for halal burgers!
There is a variety of flavours and you can easily make changes / create a custom burger :) They also have amazing dipping sauces with their sides, very unique and tasty flavours!!
I really loved the waffles and shakes here as well!! So delicious
They also do non-halal options, but you can clearly see through their kitchen window that they have a seperate Halal stove they cook on! A great way to reassure customers that there is no cross contamination
Definitely worth the trip if you’re in the area!
Crabapples For Lunch
Wow, we came here twice recently, once for their anniversary $3 cheeseburgers and another time on a 50% off deal. The food here is outstanding, quite possibly the best burgers I've had in Melbourne. Some places do come close for me, but the burgers here are really thoughtfully put together.
The beef patties are thick and pink in the middle, so it's a generous size and very juicy. The buns are also very soft, warm, yet well toasted on the outside, which plays a big part in our overall enjoyment of the burger. All the other ingredients go well together - the cheese was well melted onto the patty and there was plenty of sauce that would drip out of the burger (it might get messy). I also tried the prawn noir burger which was very tasty with crispy batter and juicy prawns inside, but at $15, it is $1 more expensive than their fully loaded Luxemburger and not as filling. It's hard to pass up the Luxemburger for a big meal.
The onion rings and sweet potato fries were both also great. The onion rings had a delicate batter and light onions inside. The sweet potato fries were crispy and tasty, but that said slightly less impressive because quite a few places out there do decent sweet potato chips. And lastly, the Oreo chocolate waffle we got was sensational. I'm not usually a big fan of waffles but this one was crispy on the outside and light on the inside. It was topped with vanilla ice cream and a cheesecake mousse, along with chocolate sauce, chocolate flakes, Oreo crumb and creme anglais.
For the prices here, the food is well worth it and I'd happily pay full price for it. The outlet is cosy with some tables and some booths. The staff are friendly and they do table service in the evenings. We were also able to get our waffle to come out later, after we were finished with our burgers. The burgers came out very quickly, though the waffle did take a while to come out after we called for it.
I'll definitely be back for more delicious food.
I recently found this place and honestly I have nothing but good things to say about it. Really nice place to just grab a burger - probably one of the better burgers I've had in Melbourne. Also their malts shakes are fantastic.
Lovely boutique burger place offering a range of vegetarian and vegan options. My partner and I (both vegan) stopped in for dinner and were pleasantly surprised! The chips were hot and fresh, and the vegan patties were made from real food ingredients rather than processed soy protein, and they tasted incredible! Definitely a step up from the Lord of the Fries vegan burgers down the street, and worth a try if you're in Hawthorn!
Cheap and cheerful, quick and friendly. Burgers were great. Atmosphere was a bit lacking as it’s just a suburban burger shop, but the burgers and onion rings made up for it. Chips were a little over cooked, but I’m told this was a one off by by companion who had previously been there.
Stopped by l’burger today as they were having a 45% off discount on eatclub
Interior: 3/5
Looked new and welcoming, very comfortable and clean - burger joint vibes, only thing is that there was a very odd smell, similar to a newly built room instead of burgers - a scent you’d expect from a burger joint
Service: 0/5
Because of the service I received from a particular staff member, i’d be willing to drop this rating to a 2.5 if zomato allowed it.
Upon ordering, staff member sanju (don’t mind my spelling, I could only verbally receive the name) was quite blunt and rude despite my cheery responses - i work in retail so I always give what i would want to receive. She also forgot to give us our table number, upon asking she blankly handed it over to us.
However, the most disappointing part is that upon checking my bill, I was overcharged. I returned and upon showing her the fault, she replied bluntly with “what do you want me to do about it?” Appalling service where obviously if i’m overcharged, i’d like the difference back. After pointing that out she bitterly asked if i could go back to my table whilst she talked to her manager. She returned later on throwing the overcharged amount onto my table with my receipt with spite.
This left quite a lot of distaste in my mouth for my burger, however i will give my honest opinion of the food, despite this experience.
Food: 3.5/5
My partner and i ordered 2 burgers, the luxemburg and the sriracha burger (forgot the name). The buns were super soft and crispy on the inside, toasted to perfection! The party was cooked just right and was juicy. Bacon was super crispy which was a huge plus for me!
We also got the onion rings combo with sweet potato fries which were both super crispy and delicious! The fries had a great crunch and sweet taste.
The strawberry malt was simple, yet delicious, as most shakes these days are too thick and sickening, however this one was not too thick.
Overall, I would not return because of the service i received, despite wanting to try dessert waffles after, I really couldn’t stand being there any longer. However, i do recommend going for the food because it is genuinely good, I just hope you don’t receive the same service I did!
The atmosphere was dead which made the whole experience very uncomfortable. I ordered a time restricted item, 6 minutes past the cut off so they refused to make it, despite the whole place being empty. And the burger was just average in an area with so many better options.
KatMmm
Don’t let the formal decor put you off this joint. The burgers are very reasonably priced, well balanced and flavourful. They have some interesting styles of burger, without being over the top, American-style.
A good asset to the area.
Good Food, Good Mood
Friendly, fast service. Really big and clean dining space. I appreciated the sink mid-sink as well as a unisex bathroom, burgers can get so messy so that’s really handy.
We all ordered the L’Beef burger with jalapeño loaded fries. The milk bun was toasted to perfection and the beef patty was JUICY!!!
Generous serving of the jalapeño fries, we had to add extra salt and pepper as it wasn’t very flavoursome on the second layer. But would highly recommend you try it.
Would come back!
A recentish burger joint to the long list that is already available to Glenferrie Road, but a welcome addition.
L'burger serves up the usual fanfare of burgers, fries shakes and also waffles with a rotating burger and waffle specials. A vegan range is also available so that is a very nice touch.
Burgers itself are very nice with the basic cheese hrger to the seasonal burgers such as a Turkey and stuffing burger served between a red brioche bun for that Christmas spirit. The Turkey is extremely turkey with cranberry and mustard sauce through it which builds its already good flavour profile. The onion rings are real onions and juicy with a nice tempura batter. However the addition of sauce would have helped it.
The only downside is that I wished the burgers were a tad bigger and some basic sauces where available on tomato (tomato, BBQ or mustard).
If anyone is a burger enthusiast then this place is one u really need to try.
AKA
Delicious!!!! Tasted like homemade and with love. Very fresh and quality ingredients as very flavoursome. It the spot perfectly!!! Had the cheeseburger and added an egg. My sister had the southern fried chicken and that will be next!
Has to be the best of the burger joints on glenferrie and burk.
From outside it doesn’t look very inviting ( dark interior & easy listening music) but don’t let that hold you back. Will be back definitely.
Hungrytummy
One of the first choice burger shop in Glenferrie. Love the smoke bacon, it has smoky and crispy texture aroma. The price is affordable and the sitting place was so comfort too.
Came here with my husband to have a quick dinner before heading out to the city. The short ribs burger was hands down the best burger we both have ever had! We have tried many burgers in the past but this was by miles our number 1. We also tried the chorizo burger- 7/10. Sweet potato fries 8/10. Service was great, staff are super friendly. Recommending this place to all my friends
I'm sorry that I haven't dropped in sooner, as this is a really sweet burger joint with friendly service. I always try a cheeseburger so that I can see how well the basics are executed, and L'Burger did not disappoint. The beef was tasty, well seasoned with just the right amount of pink. The cheese was nice and gooey! My wife tried a veg burger with chicken (go figure), which was fantastic. The chicken was moist, which might seem like a simple thing, but it's not, as it seems to be overcooked at most other places. The sweet potato chips were decent, but maybe a little small, which made them somewhat dry, but still tasty. I asked for a recommendation for shakes, and was told to try strawberry as it has real strawberry in it. Again, that might seem like an obvious thing, but it's not, and it made a difference. Loved the smoothie! The prices are also pretty good, we spent $40 on 2 burgers, chips and a shake. I'll be back!
I was working in the hawthorn area and was having a stroll up Glenferrie road when I came across this very inviting and clean cut restaurant and couldn’t resist !
I was in a rush at the time and had to get takeaway and eat it back on site, which didn’t matter as the burger was in its own league, outstanding from the usual American influenced burgers I usually eat, much like the restaurant the burgers were neat and constructed with class, so I had to go back for the proper experience and try out a few of there delicious menu items.
To start off the feast we were presented with the sharing plate which consisted of regular crispy potato chips along with sweet potato fries and also onion rings all in the one basket which was a nice variety instead of just having the one flavoured side, my first visit I got the hot Angus burger which was so fresh and spicy and had a juicy slightly pink centred Angus patty! So on my return i couldn’t look past this same burger even though I did try I am a sucker for a spicy beef burger, but I decided to customise it by adding a fried chicken patty to mix it up ever so slightly, the chicken was great and seemed a lot cleaner then your standard southern fried patty and I didn’t feel one bit sick after completing this stack, very happy with my choice and would highly recommend the combo ! I also had the strawberry marshmallow malt which was a great consistency and complemented the meal perfectly not being too heavy and was easy to put down even after such a feast!
Thank you to the LBurger team for such an experience 👌
Amazing Burgers! I’d never seen a tempura prawn burger before on a menu so naturally that’s the one I went for and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked and paired with citrus mayo, butter lettuce and slaw! (I ditched the tomato) The tasting plate provides you with onion rings, sweet potato fries and regular fries, as well as a side salad and a trio of dips, All Yum! Very impressed!
After a movie at Lidos, we were looking for a place to grab some burgers. Checked zomato for places nearby and came to know about this place right across the street.
First impressions : quite relaxed ambience, well lit, decently sized with quite some room for a decent crowd.
Coming to the menu - they have quite a variety on offer in each section be it chicken, beef, vegetarian or even vegan.
I tried Hotre Dame burger with some fries and a coke on side. Wanted to have something spicy so got this one as it has sriracha 😍
To my surprise, the burger had a black bun! It looked gorgeous! Tasted great as well. Got a lil messy but I don't mind if it tastes good.
My friend had the L'beef and he was quite satisfied as well.
Looked scrumptious TBH!
Overall, liked the place and the food as well. Only criticism, if I'm asked, will be the size of the burgers. The burgers could be a lil burger for the price. Nothing else. But would definitely recommend this place.
Foood - 4/5
Value - 3.75/5
Ambience - 3.75/5
Service - 4/5
L’Burger is located in a prominent location right in the heart of Hawthorn’s Glenferrie Road – right near the station!
The first thing you notice when you walk in the long space and the uber cool fit out – the owner Rodney tells us that the interior has been made to look and feel like a “subway” station. After all they are located right near the Glenferrie Station! From the subway tiles, to the intricately detailed roofline and the repetition of the restaurant name just like a station name would appear on the platform – finished with the comfortable booth seating all adds to the experience even before the food menu is set in front of you.
What I love about L’Burger too is that they are 100% Halal certified! There aren’t many burger places around that are Halal Certified so this is definitely a drawcard for me. There are 15 burgers to choose from – yep that’s right 15 – broken into 6 house burgers and 9 gourmet burgers! We decide to go for the Cheeseburger, Hot Angus and L’Cevap (this can be made halal with the exclusion of pork).
All burgers are absolutely divine and full of flavour. The burgers are soft, fresh and we are told that each burger is lovingly placed on the grill to give it its slight crunchiness which adds to the overall effect of the burger. The meat patties are fresh and the flavour-filled and the veggies add a further crunchy freshness!
We also got the Tasting Plate which is combo of Onion Rings, Sweet Potato Fries and Potato Fries coupled with their house made secret recipe sauces. The Onion Rings are made from real onion and have the best tasting batter! The fries are cooked in cotton seed oil which is renowned for its ability to deliver crispiness and taste to the fries – which comes out in the flavour! It also comes served with side salad made of Pumpkin Seeds and Pumpkin itself. The dressing on the salad is fab too!
What also makes L’Burger different to the rest is that they don’t just serve burgers – although they do this VERY well – they also serve Waffles and Malts! There are 5 different waffle flavours to choose from which include the flavours Chocolate Oreo, Mixed Berry, Apple Cinnamon and Flavour of the Month! I was waaay too full after my burgers to try these out- but I will definitely be back to try them out. Check out their Instagram page (@lburger3122) for pics of these divine creations.
I did however try a Malt – there are 5 to choose from – and I had the Chocolate Kit Kat flavour. This had a great malty chocolatey flavour to it and it wasn’t too sweet – just the right combo and I loved it!
We had a really great experience at L’Burger – the service was great and the owner is really friendly and had a great chat with us! Check them out – this is one place I will definitely be heading back to!
I was lucky enough to try L’Burger on the weekend and we were very impressed. My pet peeve is when you’re promised a good burger and there’s little grizzly bits in the meat - not at L’Burger! The patties were absolute perfection, and you can tell a lot of love goes into it. They are combo of wagyu beef and Angus beef and are super juicy. I had the Luxemburger which had super crispy bacon and this deliciously Smokey hickory bbq sauce. A definite winner!
My friend got the L’beef, which is their simple beef burger and she was raving about it. One of the best burgers she’d had in a long time.
We also tried the tasting plate which came with a trio of sweet potato fries, normal chips and onion rings. Perfect if you’re indecisive. The garlic mayo, the bbq and the mustard dill pickle dipping sauces were Delish!
I highly recommend checking these guys out.
Thanks for having us!
L’Burger is conveniently located close to Glenferrie Station in Hawthorn. From the street I thought it would be rather small however I was pleasantly surprised to find a rather spacious burger joint.
I stopped by for a quick lunch and played it safe and opted for the L’Beef burger. The burger was nicely presented and I appreciated the use of quality ingredients. Overall my burger was nicely balanced and not at all heavy.
With so many burger restaurants popping up all over Melbourne, we’re quite spoilt for choice. I had a lovely experience at L’Burger and I recommend that you check them out if you’re in the area. As a tip keep a look out for them on EatClub as I often see they have deals and they have a buy one get one free offer in the entertainment book making it good value for money. OveralI I rate L’Burger ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5.
This place took me by surprise! Really enjoyed their beef burger and their waffles were amazing. Located on Glenferrie road, it was super easy to find. Staff were super friendly also.
Thanks!
Visited L’Burger to try out their new vegan/vegetarian menu. Not usually a fan of veg burgers but I was pleasantly surprised with the ones here!
I had the Garden My French and it was packed full of flavour and the goats cheese/beetroot vegetarian patty was perfectly crispy. I washed this down with the most delicious vegan choc peanut shake... so creamy I couldn’t believe it was vegan!
The Riviera was also a hit with its spicy kick and corn & avo salsa.
To finish off, we had the waffle platter. And oh... my... god... it was the most amazing waffle dish I’ve had in a long time!!
So, if you’re vegan/vegetarian, I would highly recommend giving these guys a go!
Looking forward to coming back to try the meat burgs 😋
Lovely small burger stop along Glenferrie road. The price range is a bit higher than other burger places, but you get what you pay. We had Prawn Noir and the Luxemburger, highly recommend the latter (so good!!!), Prawn Noir was just a tad oily for me due to the crumbed prawn patty. Visited on Sunday lunch and the restaurant was empty lol. Bright interior. Will be back!
Great menu and a very good choice. From the normal burger place. Very flavoursome
Not greasy great beef and such a broad choice I’m going back and I will even try the vego options they look that good go and try it ✅
The most outstanding part of this burger place is the quality of the burgers served. Especially the beef burgers. They were fresh, thick & juicy..
Calm & sound atmosphere too. Worth the visit. :)
Fantastic coffee, food and atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming staff. We always enjoy coming here for an any day of the week cheat meal. The best burgers and shakes in town.
The weather on that day we came was very cold, the shop was full with patrons having their dinner here. The luxemburger was so yummy!!! . Staffs were busy doing their duties. Have to wait for a while until we got a place to sit. Foods were nice to eat.
Best burgers ever and not expensive as its look tooo
They know what they doing. They got the best veggie burgers and the fried chicken burger one of the best in Melbourne🤩🤩🤩 👍👍👍💪
I had the chicken burger and sweet potato fries - absolutely delicious!! Excellent staff and service - lovely venue - definitely a keeper - prices are very reasonable as well - highly recommended!
Yesterday I went to L’burger with my family. I must say Best Vegan and vegetarian burgers in Melbourne. We were amazed with the choices we got . Service was amazing and great taste.
Went to L'Burger on Friday because of all the good reviews. They were crazy busy but it was definitely worth the wait. Food was really tasty. On our table we tried the L'Cevap & the Riviera. These are really different burgers. L'Cevap is spicy but nice. The Riviera taste like summer with the corn salsa. Thought we might have a waffle to finish with but we were too full. Definitely be back to try the waffles another day.
Renee Bussell
Came here for dinner with 3 friends. Only came here for the good reviews but wasn’t the best. We got flat soft drinks, meat had a chewy bit of gristle and my friend that ordered only chips and onion rings had to wait an extra 15 min for her food. The loaded fries were soaked in way too much BBQ sauce too. Understaffed as well. Wouldn’t return.
Stopped by Hawthorn~got so many choices for food here~this one is close to Glenferri station and has very clean and spacious environment~since the rate is pretty high~and menu looks good~so we decided to give it a try~we ordered a traditional milk bun southern fried chicken burger and black milk bun prawn burger with beer battered chips~and beer of course~the prawn burger was faint on its way to our table~I didn’t see what happens~just saw he fell apart~lying on the ground~with some chips around him~anyway~the burgers finally made their way~they are delicious but not too special~the burger sauce is bit liquid~probably because the veg is marinated before~since the veg is cold and fried stuff is hot~so it is so obvious to taste cold and hot apart~the chips is well fried~if it can have a little bit herb salt on it will be better~anything tastes better with the cold beer~so all good~~~
Delicious burgers! I got the l’vegan - great to see plenty of veg & vegan options now on the menu. Fries were also top notch. Nice, new & clean venue with a good atmosphere!
I am not a burger person because of the frozen patties & pre cooked stuff and then ran into this Burger place which made me realize the real taste of burger with their fresh cook approach for anything that goes into the Burger. Loved the taste.
Also I tried their Tasting Plate which is combo Onion Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, and Potato Fries with their house made secret recipe sauces. I never knew the onion rings and Sweet Potato fires could taste this better..
The ambience of the store is really alive and lovely.
I would love to come back again and again.
#L’burger #Burgers
Burgers were very nice! Interesting menu and a good variety of options! However, the Oreo shake was possibly the best I’ve had! UNREAL! Topped it off with the waffles, pretty bloody good! Would defiantly recommend
Good chips, great burgers and service. Decor is quite simple and not much atmosphere but I’ve a feeling it’s only recently opened. We’ll be back soon, need to try out those waffles!
besides the super convenient location and great atmosphere, the staff here were exceptional and so helpful, making every guest feel warm and welcomed. In terms of the burgers it was sos great to see these vegan and vegetarian options available and the sweet potato fries were to die for! perfectly crispy and tasty and not bland at all. The burger itself was delicious and I overall enjoyed it however I hope to see more vegan options here in the future and I know they will be able to deliver them as well. Thanks so much for having me!
I saw 4.3 stars and thought this would be a good place to try, alas I don’t think the rating was accurate. What was good: sweet potato chips were amazing, super crunch and tasty. What was bad: the vanilla malt milkshake tasted like really cheap vanilla essence, such a strong artificial taste, barely any malt taste too. What was “meh”: the burger, I just got the plain beef burger, it honestly was so plain, nothing special, no kick or punch to it... It was $11 so it’s not too bad but I don’t think it’s worth it. So there’s my 2cents! Get the chips!
Hallelujah! Another burger gem in Hawthorn. The beef is juicy and succulent, and the gruyere cheese is melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Ambience has an elevated diner feel to it.
Chronicles Of Nardia
I visited L’Burger for the first time & was really impressed with the interior & size. Located on Glenferrie Road in Hawthorn, L’Burgers has a small & unassuming shop front but really opens up inside. With booths down one side, its spacious & stylish interior is designed to replicate a French train station with some great signage.
We started with the tasting plate which included fries, onion rings & sweet potato fries as well as coleslaw & dipping sauces. This was a brilliant concept as we were able to try a bit of each. The fries & sweet potato fries were crispy & delicious & I loved the onion rings as they just had a light coating of batter. The coleslaw was a nice fresh accompaniment too.
They have a great variety of burgers with the focus on fresh ingredients. We tried the Prawn Noir burger which came on a black milk bun. It was a really light burger & the lemon & caper mayo worked perfectly with the panko crumbed prawns. I also tried the Garden my French burger which was packed with grilled mushroom, eggplant, zucchini & a beetroot & goats cheese patty. It was delicious & a really filling & impressive veggie burger.
We washed it all down with malted milkshakes, Strawberry Cheesecake & Chocolate Kit Kat flavours but L’Burger also have a wide range of beer & wine on offer.
We were too full to try the waffles but they looked amazing so will have to go back & try them.
L’Burger offer a classy burger experience with fantastic service & fresh products, I recommend checking them out. Thanks so much for having us.
Wow! What a great place for burgers!!! Got the Luxunburger. Delicious and packed with flavour. 10/10 Service. Great vibe and great location right next to the station. Would definitely go back! :)
Must be a French thing ...
Possibly the best burger I've had in Melbourne so far, and I think I've had a few ... the right size, no dripping mad with sauce, soft buns, but it doesn't break, great ingredients and well cooked patty, at $14.00, it was fantastic ... Hot Angus and L'Beef ... 9/10
One of the nicest burger "parlour" set up ... classy ... non-greasy nor over the top, the only issue was service, they seem to be uninterested in serving patrons.
The only bad things are their fries, Tasting Platter was filled with some "burnt" Onion Rings and fries ... surely that's not a French thing to do ... JT-07/08/2018.
I need that half rating back Zomato
Good Food Good Mood
We were invited to L’Burger last night which seriously impressed as much more than your average burger spot. Located right next to Glenferrie station the interior itself is actually modelled on a Paris metro station. I was singing along to the fun music they were playing as I awaited my dining companion.
They have a wide range of beers and wines but we chose the caramel pretzel shake and the Kit Kat chocolate shake although the strawberry cheesecake one tempted too. The owners have a solid grounding in hospitality and are really differentiating themselves with fresh not frozen high quality ingredients and a vast array of fancy sauces including porcini or mustard dill pickle mayonnaise.
We wanted to try the grilled chicken burger but after heading the fried chicken has 29 ingredients in the burger we had to have that too. I thoroughly enjoyed this burger for in contrast to the last fried chicken burger I had (four days ago) the crumb to meat ratio was perfect. So often you’re taking multiple bites before you even reach the protein and it generally tends to leave the diner full of regret afterwards. This was genuinely pleasant in that the naughty craving was satisfied and yet I didn’t have to feel guilty.
A side of sweet potato fries worked well as I then dug into the beef burger (thought I should, given it’s their top seller, and I can defiantly see why!) This was my pick of the day, the patty was juicy and perfectly cooked. Even though I’m guilty of always customising burgers and adding extras this one in it’s stunning simplicity is perfect just as it is. Delicious bun, tasty sauce, yummy meat. Tick, tick, tick.
We finished off with the Apple cinnamon waffles which were accompanied by ice cream and a warm creme anglaise. They were so fabulous I wished I had more people with me so I could have attempted the waffle platter and tried all three of the delicious sounding variants. Friendly staff and high caliber ingredients puts this a cut above your average burger spot. And I love the ingenious practicality and convenience of the wash station! Good burgers are damn messy
Located on the busy Glenferrie Rd, L’Burger is a nicely decorated establishment. Friendly service when we visited the Thursday evening and really sympathised with the staff who felt the pressure of accommodating the demand of busy night. The sharing plate which consisted of potato and sweet potato with onion rings was a great way to start proceedings. The Chilli Angus was made exactly how the it was described on the menu with a variety of sauces which drip off from the first bite. Waffles was executed and and the Kit Kat malt was delicious. Keep up the great work team!
There is an influx of burger places around town so it's really a lot of competition so burger joints need to offer something special! The thing I liked about this burger joint was the a good bun, good patty and good sauce. Ticked 3 out of 5 essentials for a good burger. Great sides and presentation. It was busy when we went but staff did well in speed and delivery of food.
A Chronicle Of Gastronomy
A new addition to Glenferrie Road, L’Burger aims to bring something a little different to the burger scene by using local, premium ingredients, delivered fresh, not frozen. Their top seller is the basic L’Beef burger, but coming close is The Luxemburger.
Went intending to try the waffles as a snack but it was pretty much an enjoyable meal. We tried the fries share platter where the sweet potato fries and slaw were a stand out. Then we also had the mixed berry waffles and chocolate waffles. Big enoigh to share between 2. The waffles were great, not too sweet and what made it even better was that they used vanilla bean ice cream. Next time gotta go try the burgers.
Location, location and location that’s one of the most important factors for running the business, it is perfect close to any sorts of public transport (Glenferrie train station, in front of tram line) and plenty of car park spaces. We’re so delighted to be invited to this Burger shop L’Burger in Hawthorn.
Discovered this gem on glenferrie road, Hawthorn. Surrounded by fast food restaurants these guys definitely stand out. A beautiful venue, providing booth seating as well as individual tables catering for small and large groups.
Onto the food, I sampled one of the specials (forgot the name) as well as the luxemburger. The highlight was the luxemburger for me as it came with the best damn bacon I've ever had. The other special was also really nice and full of flavour. Overall, these guys do a cleaner/ fancier burger than most which was a tick in my book. I loved not feeling sick at all at the end of my meal.
I'm sure these guys will do really well and i highly recommend.
