They have an extensive menu from healthy to bad. Freak shakes here look amazing and insta worthy here but didn't taste as good as it looks. Burgers here are good but not the best I have had. We came here on zomato gold and there was a longer wait time as they were offering buy one main get one free.
Such delicious poke here - honestly best in the east of Melb. Highly recommend their fried chicken too good value
Anime themed hole-in-the-wall cafe in wonderful Balwyn. Myself and my parner and One Piece fans and decided to grab brunch a few Sundays ago. Loved the quirky ambience and their poke bowls were phenomenal!
I love burgers just like the next bloke, who doesn't and if you love burgers, One Plus Piece is definitely your go-to for a superstar taste sensation in your mouth! Paired with a crazy milkshake, the hype is definitely real when it comes to how good the food is here. Well played team - you will see me again soon!
OMG! That the best way to explain the food that comes out of One Plus Piece. Not just a anime spot, but a spot with food you can only dream about! Legit one of the best burgers in Melbourne, paired with the best milkshakes around! Legends, you have done well, keep up the good work!
Ordered the fried chicken poke and OMG, this bad boy was both healthy and naughty at the same time, and I absolutely loved it! Keep up the good work legends!
One of the better places I have been recently for a beef burger. Super friendly staff and I absolutely love the theme! So glad I found One Plus Piece, I will be coming back soon for more burgers!
I'd heard about the burgers here so decided to grab some takeaway. Absolutely delicious, can't recommend the Gear 3 more! Shakes takeaway too which were yum
Loved my burger and shake from One Plus Piece. Best in Balwyn! Great for eat in and takeaway! They also do a lovely coffee :)
Fancy interior with lots of one piece figurines, stickers and wall murals! The food was a nice japanese-brunch fusion which I personally really enjoyed. The sushi burgers were interesting and really yummy!! They had a really cute one piece coffee stencil art on our mochas.
We got the duck Benedict, salmon poké bowl and the wagyu sushi burger (on the special menu).
Would definitely come back again!
Not just a place for weebs but also for people who enjoy great café food!
This restaurant felt just like Japan! Everything about this place was so cool! Me and my partner travelled abit over an hour to visit! It was like we were back at the One Piece Tokyo Tower! Now what I initially loved and what stood out about this restaurant to me was that in their menu, they give you a link to check out the menu online which provides you with photos of every single dish! I’m always that person looking at a restaurants Instagram to see what I like! SO advanced and a BIG A+ for me!!! The burgers were awesome! Full of flavour and perfect size! Love a perfect seeded bun! The chips were okay.. they could’ve been seasoned & the chip boxes themselves could’ve been filled up abit more! The absolute star of the show were the MILKSHAKES! OMG.. I ordered a nutella milkshake as you all know I always do.. and boy oh boy! BEST NUTELLA MILKSHAKE HANDS DOWN! They were very generous with the Nutella as I watched them make acouple! I fell inlove within the first sip! I literally couldn’t get enough!
I loved everything about this place.. the artwork on the wall was exactly how the characters are set up at the Tokyo one piece tower which was super cute! Loved all the figurines & just all the detail put into this restaurant! This place was awesome! We’ll 100% be back!
One of my favourite cafés!! Very extensive menu with classic brunch food as well as several poké bowl (about 8) and burger (about 10) options too. Perfect to try a variety of dishes!! Everything I’ve tried has been delicious!!
Food is very fresh and tasty. My favourites are the salmon salmon or BBQ duck poké bowls which I have had multiple times (including takeaway). The burgers are also tasty and with many options (matching a burger place, on top of the rest of the menu) Quite a few menu items with wasabi mayo and sriracha mayo if you enjoy a bit of spice. I’d also recommend the matcha latte; rich and strong matcha flavour unlike most other places.
The interior is decorated with One Piece figurines from the windows to the counter and menu. There is also outdoor covered seating without the decorations too. There’s also some stacks of mangas, (possibly to read during a visit.)
Favourite cafe after discovering it on Zomato Gold’s 1+1 list. Reasonable prices and amazing food (and variety!!) Have visited 4 times already this year!!
The food was good and the decor was so cute. The cafe is well themed, great One Piece Decor!
I ordered from fried chicken waffles and was not disappointed, it was very yummy!
My coffee was also very cute with an anime face on it! (as seen in the photo).
The food is very well presented! I had a great time at the cafe.
Recommend this cafe 🙂

📝: Calling all One Piece fans out there, you’re missing out if you’ve never been to Melbourne’s one and only anime-themed cafe. The interior is filled with cute deco, definitely giving you the ultimate One Piece vibe.
❤️: The highlight here is their burger. We got the Special Beef Burger🍔 on the menu with double beef patty🐮, American cheese, pickles🥒, and omg the highlight—liquid cheese🧀! Can’t get any cheesier than this 😍.
We are writing this review to make it just for this cafe and to respond to the accusation in the below comment.
Came here on Sunday for late breakfast/lunch. The cafe was really crowded and I can see the staff frustration. Having said this the staff had tried their best to accommodate customers. We were seated outside but kindly ask the staff to move us to the table of two inside due to the extreme 31°c direct sunlight. The staff was kind and considerate enough to move us in which causes a commotion where a particular table of five (who had not booked in advance) was literally yelling at the staff for letting us sit on the table of two next to them. By the way we were there way way before him.
I am not protecting the staff or anything but the man's attitude were beyond nasty... and dare say drives every customers attention to him due to his unreasonable yelling and screaming. Especially when his family are at fault.
- by not booking in advance, the cafe was really busy, everyone, not just you, have to wait.
- they say five, only three were present.. two people hasnt even turned up. Even when these three people were seated and even when they left, there are no sight of the other two.
-one of the waitress had to attend to this table in particularly, she endured their yelling and responding to their unreasonableness... does this mean the staff doesn't care??
- one out of the three is a small child, that table of four can definitely seated five, if they are considerate enough to squeeze a little.
-Their unneeded demand to even suggest what, to kick us or the other two customer out even when we are sitting on a table of two?? At that time all tables were occupied, we were three to four ques ahead of them, yet they want our tables for merging so they got their own private king size table.
You do not have the right to kick anyone out! Nor shout at the staff whos doing their job! This place is not your house, you are NOT the boss so please leave your nasty attitude back at home.
As for the cafe, the food was great, Japanese Australian fushion with an interesting twist and full of flavour. Coffee are great and the beans are top quality from Au79. The venue is definitely one of a kind and I will not judge this cafe based on my bad luck meeting those customer, whom had also taken their time to unjustly rate this cafe a 1* below.
I hope to be back again during the off peak period to taste their special menu item. :)
My son introduced me to this place as it’s based on one of his favourite anime shows so we visited and even as someone who’s not a fan of the show, the theme and decorations are a lot of fun.
Enjoyed the Smoothie Bowl for breakfast, it was very pretty and a lot of attention went into the decoration. Good thing it also tasted great and was nice and creamy.
My son had one of the burgers which had Mac and cheese inside, it looked great especially on a beetroot bun.
Overall a fun experience, good value, nice staff and yummy food.
This cafe is amazing! It is beautifully designed, styled, decorated to the manga and anime. Every single detail from the menu dish names to the quotes and decor makes you feel like you’re in the one piece world. And to top it all off the food is absolutely delicious and also inspired by the manga too! The variety from coffees to milkshakes, from brunches to burgers that Luffy would be proud of, this cafe is worth coming not once but again and again! 🤤🤪😋
Great lunch place. I recommend booking in advance. The portions are huge! There were five of us and none of us could finish our food. I got the duck benedict and that was amazing. Definitely coming back here again
What a great place!!!
I popped in there for a late breakfast and a coffee and found an enthusiastic happy staff and super fast service.
The meal I had was amazing!! It was certainly different but well worth the money. The coffee was easily the best I have had in a long time!.
If you are passing through Balwayn or live nearby, you MUST try this place.
Great service and dishes came out very quickly despite the place being full. Duck Benedict was very tasty but the loco moco poke bowl cannot be beat. My fussy toddler devoured the beef patty and the perfectly cooked poached egg. Kid friendly with high chairs and a nice courtyard to sit in. Portion sizes could be larger but great deal nonetheless with Zomato Gold. Would definitely visit again.
Surprisingly speedy service.
Great menu, tough choices.
Brunch at it's best. Kudos.
Tasty burgers and interesting special menu and milkshakes. Love that they also do healthy poke bowls. Disappointed there’s only one healthy drink - Green Detox - and would like to see them use a wider, metal straw instead of the small black plastic straws. It’s hard to drink the smoothie/milkshake when there’s bits clogging the straw! All in all, great place and good value with zomato gold.
The cafe is very busy. The sushi burger tastes excellent. It is a very innovative burger that combines nori, rice, fried chicken and sausage.
Cool venue. Came with some family for a brunch. Great range of fusion flavours for breakfast and lunch. Happy with our experience and food.

REAL DEAL! 🔥 What a damn SPREAD! 😮 This is a table full of straight 💯 dishes! Honestly can't over how good this spread was 😩 thanks so much to the team at @onepluspiece for the amazing hospitality! This was definitely one of my favourite spreads 😍 delicious variety of dishes with genius flavour combinations ✔️ definitely get around the burgers here! Absolutely loved visiting One Plus Piece! The decor is so cute and charming, but the food was incredible. The pole bowl was beautifully fresh, the salmon in particular I really loved. The thickshakes are serious business, really sweet with lots of elements to enjoy. Any One Piece or Anime fan would adore this place, or even if you just love a good poké bowl! Highly recommend and will come back :)
I must say it is one of the best places I have been on ZOMATO goal that offers 1 for 1!! They have amazing service and an amazing back courtyard which is really nice and cozy!
We don’t follow anime but thought the one piece theme was a nice touch. The food though speaks volume - the poke bowls were a star! Healthy and generous 👌🏻 the menu is very extensive and would think it’s a lot of work for the staff - thumbs up for variety! will be back to try other items on the menu.
The burgers here are epic! I had to try the Gear 3 as I'd seen how epic it looked on Insta. It was so delicious! The combo of beef and pork was just too good. We shared loaded fries (veggie) and they were the perfect mix of crispy and cheesy. If you love anime decor you will love One Plus Piece!
One of my fave brunch places in the area. They have interesting asian fusion dishes. My safe favourite is the Duck Benedict which is served on waffle. Chicken and waffle is also yum and a little spicy/sweet. My hubby tried a burger on the special menu which was also yum! If there's enough people around, I would order their Peking Duck Loaded Fries. And their Golden Gaytime Sundae is also a hit to share! Ooh, and a new favourite drink from here is their Iced Matcha w/ Yuzu - it comes with a soft serve float on top - so refreshing!
Would recommend for their quality of food/taste. Also, being on ZG 1+1 helps the pocket a bit!
If you are a fan of one piece it won't disappoint. The burgers are delicious as well. The shakes are over the top and awesome. It's a tad expensive but not bad value for money considering some of the sizes and ingredients.
Loved the extensive options of burgers, chips, brunch items and poke available here 😍
I ordered the gear 4 burger, sushi burger, loaded fries and the special watermelon sundae.
Both burgers were filled to the brim with delicious ingredients and were super fresh! I especially liked the fried chicken in the sushi burger as it was super crispy.
The fries were honestly the best I’ve had, the chips still maintained their crispiness even with all the fillings on top!
The watermelon sundae was the perfect way to finish off the meal- soooo many sweet treats went in there and I loved the presentation.
Can’t wait to visit again!
Loved everything about this cafe! From their interior, plating of the food, service to the taste of the dishes, everything was superb! Definitely one of my favourite cafes! Highly recommend coming here especially if you’re a One Piece lover!
Being a massive fan of one piece, I couldn't wait to come in and check this place out. The food was awesome. Service was really friendly and the fitout was insane. Must try!
This place is pretty unique. The only Anime themed cafe in Melbourne, that also happens to serve up awesome grub. Give the burgers ago!
If you love the One Piece Manga/Anime then this is the perfect place for you. The place is decorated with One Piece accessories and memoribilia. They have a small seating on the inside and 4-5 tables outdoor on the back of the cafe. Food are not only look great but also tasted great. The poke bowl are very light and refreshing.
Nice food. Fine place. Good value for zomato gold.
One piece themed Cafe with Great tasting poke bowls. Looking forward to try the sushi burger next time!
Has been a favourite little spot of mine for a while now! Always excited to try out their dishes and always pleasantly surprised. Love the theme and aesthetic including their cute stickers and tags.
Great food and great atmosphere

Revisited this place and found they offer Zomato gold.
From other review, could summarize in a few words.
1. Wagyu beef poke is very good and fresh. 🍖🍖🍖🍖🍖
2. Duck Is a bit too salty 🦩🦩🦩
3. Coffee is bit below average ☕️☕️
The one piece theme is amazing 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Service is .... ⭕️⭕️
First time here after reading the reviews. Prana Chai wasn’t strong enough as there were probably only a couple of tsps of tea leaves. Staff were not as friendly too when we got there.
However, the highlight was the food. Slow cooked duck poke bowl was satisfying and the sauce was superb- sweet Asian sauce with quinoa and kale.
Smoothie bowl looked good too with very interesting choice of ingredients such as popping pearls.
Both dishes looked really appetising. In fact, every dish they presented to other tables looked stunning!
Despite the little hiccups, I’d come back for other food items.
Out of the 4 burgers we ordered, the best one is 266 burger. A bit weird to have a small spoonful of creamy macaroni on top. Otherwise the siracha bacon added to the taste. Comes with a charcoal bun. The freshly fried chips are also very good. Also the coffee. They honoured our Zomato Gold 1+1 food. Would definitely recommend this place.
Holy moly, a one piece cafe! I had no idea we had one and we so happened to stumble upon this cafe! For starters, the interior is a dream for any one piece fan. It reminds of Japan and how extra they are with their interior design, figurines and paintings! The food menu was also massive, it was really hard to figure out what I wanted but I tried their spicy salmon sushi burger (part of their special menu) and wow was it good! The burgers tasted really good as well according to my cousins and they’ve got crazzzzy shakes! It wasn’t too sweet which is a bonus.
Great customer service and amazing food! We had the chicken sushi burger and the deluxe burger, both exceptional! We are from the states and the woman working help us with our ordering and asked us what we liked. Very helpful. You should definitely try this place!
Food here is just divine. A pretty impressive range of menu items to choose from, for such a small place. Was very busy and crowded on Thursday at lunchtime. Service was still very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend this place!
Cafe was fun and we enjoyed our coffee! I loved the salmon salmon poke bowl.
Absolutely amazing food, with more than enough quantity brilliant taste ! I would highly recommend! Plus it's got Zomato gold !
A cute little cafe based on the one piece anime. The anime aside (not something I had a clue about!) - the food was fab. We tried the special - OFC sushi burger and it was yummy. The fried chicken was just the right mix of tender and crunchy, and the sushi rice and fried seaweed (who would’ve thought!) made a great combination. The poke bowls were fab too - we tried the loco moco which was delish, with a nice kick from a little dash of spice. While I took a point off for the average service (they weren’t rude; just not particularly friendly), we will be back - there were a few things on the menu we still want to try! It’s worth a visit, particularly with Zomato Gold!
We came here in a group of 4 and used Zomato gold. Staff wasn’t very friendly and looked like we owed him so money. Definitely needed some improvement here.
We had two poke bowls, duck pancake and a salad bowl. The food was alright, To be honest there was a lot of repeat elements in the dishes we had. Portion was on the large side so very value for money.
May come back again given they have Zomato gold.
This is my first time to eat in an One Piece cafe in Australia as One Piece is my favorite manga. Me and my bro flew from Perth and we both enjoyed the Northern Fried chicken burger, spicy salmon sushi burger and golden treasure milkshake. The food are good and we love the cafe environment with the decorations.
Brunch with a twist. Food was delicious! As were the matcha lattes.
I love the theme and the decoration. The food was honestly amazing and you get more than what you pay for in terms of quality and quantity. Spicy tuna poke was delicious and my friend rated his blt. Peking duck loaded chips was amazing too! Definitely will come back. Only thing to expect before coming, is slow service as it is only one woman working to cook and cater to everyone.
We sat all the way at the back in the outdoor area, spacious and natural lighting, better than the indoor I guess.
Love the fried chicken waffle, chicken was crunchy and a great match with the eggs and some soft serve.
The fried chicken burger was amazing with the charcoal bun and some yummy sauce.
Only down point was they ran out of smoothie bowl which I have been crazvings for this whole time. Perhaps next time!
One Plus Piece is a cute One Piece themed cafe in Balwyn. The venue is filled with One Piece themed decor, it's an experience itself just to visit if you're a fan! The burgers are actually really good here too - I really like the Korean/Japanese fusion flavours. I got the cheese burger, and the meat is super juicy and delicious like bulgogi. We also had the chicken burger which was also amazing. Even if you're not a fan of One Piece, the food is definitely worth going.
What a gem of a place! Great service, friendly staff and incredibly good food! Upon arrival we were met with smiling faces and shown to our table. A bottle of water and menu was placed on our table immediately (a sign of a well run cafe) . Menu was explained in detail with good recommendations made. Overall the food was excellent. A particular highlight was the sushi burger! Will definitely return here regularly! 👍
Found this this anime themed cafe via Zomato Gold and was not disappointed. It displays an amazing collection, although not a big fan of the anime - it’s still a great, interesting and novel experience - wish that there is more of this in Melbourne. Great coffee and selection of food from all day breakfast to Japanese. Set sail for one piece! 🏴☠️
It’s a nice cafe! Really cool to come and see all the one piece figures. The food is a bit much esp the sushi burger. Def got to reduce the rice portion. It was a bit dark def should of pumped jrock to get the vibes going as it get really
Flat inside. It got pretty busy quick.
One Plus Piece was an anime-themed cafe serving brunch and comfort food with matching anime decorations on their meals. We ordered their smoothie bowl, waffle with fried chicken, strawberry milkshake, and of course, coffee. The smoothie bowl did not come with dragonfruit as per the menu which disappointed me a little but otherwise was freshly delicious with a nice combination of crunchy and smooth textures. Coffee was pretty decent with a cute latte art. Fried chicken and waffle was a nice comfort food with its fluffy waffle and flavourful crispy chicken though I wasn’t sure about the vanilla ice cream it came with. The sinfully delicious strawberry milkshake, being Easter, was served in a chocolate bunny and topped with equally sinful chocolate/wafer/marshmallow/fairy floss toppings. Service was prompt and friendly. Overall it was a such lovely lunch experience.
This place is amazing. Burger was really tasty and the atmosphere was really nice. I didn't expect it would be so busy and service was a bit slow but that's understandable. Milk shake was really eye-catching.
This cafe is decorated in the Anime theme of 'One Piece'. If you love Anime you would love this cafe. The food is good. All 5 of us polished off our meals. The mega milkshakes are great but very, very filling on their own
Big one piece fan so it was so cool coming to this place. Food and drinks were amazing although its pricey its well worth it. The cafe was quite busy and its small so the wait times are long. I hope the cafe implements an online reservation service which would make it easier. Definitely coming back again to try the bowls but overall highly recommend
We love one plus piece! It was our local for a long time and still make the hour drive to come up when we can.
The food is so consistently good and the service is great. The staff are so lovely and never pretentious like you get elsewhere. Hubby is a long time anime lover so all up it’s a little slice of heaven. ✌️✌️✌️✌️
I am a massive one piece fan so I knew I'd eventually have to pop by.
Lovely deco (I mean it's all one piece themed. It's amazing) , an amazing freakshake. It's honestly enough to split one between two people.
The sushi sandwich was OK. It was definitely a novelty meal experience but not one I'd run back to try again. Definitely would return to try some more of the menu and of course a different shake flavour.
