Another Friday night in, another takeaway pizza. I really think this has become the new norm in ISO. things could be worse though, especially with so much good pizza around.
I ordered ahead, so my pizzas were ready to go when I got there. The toppings were abundant, with plenty of cheese; and I loved the rich tomato sauce and chewy crust. They were still hot by the time I got them home which is always a plus.
The staff seemed pleasant enough, there was a good variety on the menu, and the prices were good; all things that would make me come back again in the future.
One of the most authentic pizza place. I loved the grill chicken breast. Pizza and ginger beer are the religion here.

This place is my favourite pizza local! I have missed my local pizza place in the west since moving into the CBD but Patony is amazing so I'm so happy we tried them recently!

One of the best pizzas in Melbourne! Old school style pizza with lots of toppings and a delicious thin base. These guys have been around since I was a kid, I’ve always loved them. Can’t wait to have another one!
Good wholesome home cooked meals, pure and simple. Great service, down to earth. Love this place. Lots of toppings on your pizza, never go hungry. Even a small pizza with the lot satisfies the greatest hunger with the wholesome ingredients, at a very reasonable price. Goes down great with a Peroni as well.
Open late for when you need a feed towards the end of a long night at the office, never fails to disappoint. Highly recommended.
My go to pizza joint. Like the good old days. Thin, crispy & loaded with old school toppings. Great pizzas all round eat in or takeaway.. love the meat lovers with onion & egg.👍🏼

Im a big fan of Patony's, it just has this old school cosy atmosphere to it that makes you want to hang around after your meal, or if you're sitting outside right amongst the hustle and bustle of the street. The Patony's special is a must here, as with any traditional pizza that I order it must have green capsicum on it!!! These guys do it so well and the salt levels of the pizza aren't too high while still being flavoursome!
I love Clarendon St Sth Melb, can’t tell you why l just do. I normally head there for a coffee at the old paper cafe. Every time l have walked past Patony’s Pizza😊the smell always took me to the leaning tower of Pisa for some reason. I decided to venture in alone and enjoy a Patony Pizza. OMG Perfect, the base was perfect thickness with an amazing taste. The ham was awesome it was so flavoursome and meaty, l had a Hawaiian so the pineapples are the maker or breaker. They where a MAKER😊fantastic cheese and cooked to perfection. A nice friendly Pizza shop with lovely staff, l had a rather pleasant time all alone eating my pizza😃WOW the pizza had also been cut thru, makes a big difference.

Want a hearty pizza but want to try out different styles as well? This is your place to be. Went there on a Sunday night and the place was wafting with yummy aromas. We ordered the half-n-half vegetarian and mexicana (hot) family size pizza. We thought it would not be able to handle a hungry trio, so a vegetarian risotto as well. Boy, we were so wrong.. family size here means Family Size.
Had to get the risotto parcelled.

Also, while checking out we saw the chef making chicken pizza - so much good stuff happening 😘

Now, it should be noted that all I've had is their pepperoni pizza. But Patony's pepperoni pizza is the best I've had in Melbourne so far. New York style all around- thin crust, balanced bread/sauce/cheese ratio, and a generous helping of pepperoni without going overboard. If gourmet, thick crust, overflowing with toppings Aussie pizza isn't your thing, this is the place to go!
Also major points for staying open til midnight. Can't wait to go back!
We ordered pizza via the zomato app. We read the reviews and made the call. We ordered the combo 2 pizzas, garlic bread and a 1.5l soft drink. The mexican pizza & Hawaiian pizza were good, the crust was thin with lots of toppings.
Very generous portions and very affordable pricing. Quick service and a traditional Italian taste. Open late which is also convenient. Would come again!
Decent pizza and not bad pasta. The price won't hurt your wallet much too and you can have the dish there. One of my go to places for pizza in South Melbourne.

Great old fashioned pizza and pasta place. Two 8 yr olds had a small pizza each and hubby had a mushroom pizza. They don't skimp on the toppings! I had lasagne and it was yummy. Huge serve! Thanks very much!
Great service, very friendly and quick. Generous toppings and flavour was BOMB. They are greasy, especially those with a lot of mozzarella on top. But very comforting for sure 🤣 The place has existed for so long, I wonder why I never try their food before.

I cannot say this is a great pizza but it is a good Aussie style pizza. We come here with the boys once a week for a catch up and the food is always fast as well as the service. It has become an institution on Clarendon street and I would reccommend to come here to experience a true blue aussie pizza 🍕
Always get a super fast delivery to North Melbourne. Can not get a pizza in North Melbourne Under an hour from North Melbourne pizza shops. Great service and always hot.

It is not a fancy restaurant so if you are looking for a romantic place this may not be the place but the pizza is unbelievably good.
The staff are super friendly and kind.

Great old-skool pizza at a good price point. Not too much cheese to make it oily, but not so little that it's dry. Crust was cooked though and the right balance of thick and thin. It's not fancy wood-fired pizza and it's not trying to be. I really enjoyed it.
First time there and the pizza was really nice and ticked all the boxes for me. Tasty and fresh. Service was great and would happily go back there again. Thumbs up!
I guess most of the negative comments are from people who are programmed to the 'gourmet' school of pizza nowadays. This is not D.O.C. or 400 Gradi. There is no red carpet, no snobby wait staff and no champagne. Patonys is a family owned pizzeria which reminds you of those old school pizza places from the past. The pizzas are great. The crusts are crispy and not overdone and the toppings are generous, very generous. The mexicana is full of flavour and capricciosa is one our faves.
The service is simple yet friendly. You're in and out in no time at all with no fuss and home delivery is usually quick too.
If you want traditional (and I mean old school originals when I say traditional) pizzas, give them a go. If you want eggplant, truffle or asparagus on your pizzas, then this place isn't for you.
A lovely family owned business which make great pizzas. It's our go to place for Capricosa pizza. One of the best ones I've had. Must try if you're in the area.
I had read some negative reviews of this place so hadn't tried it for a while despite being a local but today I did encouraged by the fact that it is normally pretty busy and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly and the medium seafood pizza I had had lots of prawns and some other things, was cooked well and wasn't too salty. Best of all it was only $13.50. Other places, esp. in Albert Park charge more for an inferior product. I will try them again!

The restaurant itself has been there for many many years and appears to be maintained in a reasonable condition. Indoor and outdoor seating is available for smokers and non smokers alike. It feels to be more like a take away or quick meal restaurant with lots of people coming in and out. Ordering and paying at the counter, food is brought out to us when it’s ready with a relatively short wait. The staff don’t say much but I don’t mind it as long as there are no issues with the food.
Best pizza. Love patonys. Their staff are always great and they are open late. Nice to have a shop like this in my hood :) Ten stars

Thin-crust factory. I was impressed to see how many pizza crusts Patony had lined up, smeared with sauce and ready to go when I rocked up for a takeaway pie one Saturday night. There must have been 50. The bloke who was topping them while I waited for mine seemed to be laying heavy lashings of ham and other ingredients on each. Maybe I caught him doing a batch of "with the lot" or "extra this," but it looked more generous than most pizzerias I've observed.
I've been going for anchovy and black olive pizzas for the past year. I like bold flavours like that. Patony has one called the Volcano with the former, plus spicy salami and splashes of hot sauce. (It tasted like Tapatia or some Mexican sauce -- fine by me!) It went fine with some cheap raw Cab-Shiraz cleanskin.
The crust is thin Neapolitan style. It's not as crackery-crispy as _________ down the street. You still need to crease each slice when you pick it up so it doesn't flop flaccidly. There's a good texture and "00-farina" flavour to it. Beats Pizza Hut down Clarendon to the west, that's fer sher.
Great value...enjoyed the spaghetti marinara and scallopini Al vino bianco...A real surprise from a pizza place on the strip

You'd never expect it. Got a gnocchi here and it was amazing. Walking in it looks like any dive pizza joint, figure it's gonna be a mediocre if filling experience, but it was far greater than that. Well done.

Tried their Aussie and supreme pizzas. Both delicious. Called in for delivery, was able to pay with card on delivery - they had portable reader which was great, was $6 with a min $15 spend. Thin crust with loads of toppings on both (a lot more in comparison to other standard pizzas from most places) was full with a couple of slices of their family sized pizzas (these were cut into 12 slices too btw). Pizzas delivered hot
Picked up 2 pizzas, supreme and meat lovers. Probably best I've had in Melbourne with heaps of toppings and not greasy. Highly recommended! A++
I ordered my regular Pizza (half chicken, half beef) to take away then I walked away and sat in my car waiting for my order. suddenly I realized I forgot to ask them not to put ham on my pizza as I used to say but it was too late. when I got my pizza it was without ham 😉. Yes you should love your job then you can memorize every specific needs of each individual customer. next time I will walk and say hello, one pizza please.
