Delicious large meals for a great price, who knew such still existed in the cbd! Seamlessly catered to our table of 17 with every meal being fresh, top quality and yum! Also very diligent in catering to gluten intolerances, I love this place!
I was in a mood for lightly battered calamari but nothing too heavy for a work lunch - and got exactly that at St Brew.
Ordered:
🥗 Lemon-pepper squid: on a chiffonade of cos & carrot with mango salsa, pomegranate kernals, parmesan & citrus ($17.90)
Review:
With all the salad and fruity components in the Lemon-pepper squid dish, it became a very enjoyable meal with different textured and pops of flavour that didn't leave me regretting my choices.
Could be a little cheaper (especially when I got a $6 bánh mì from Ba Noi the other day) but I was still happy with my food 😁.
The interior was much larger than what I thought it would be from the outside. It expands about 3x larger inside, which means plenty of seating... especially when you add in St Brew's outside area!
Service was quite diligent - although we grabbed our own menus and seated ourselves, they promptly came to us with infused water (amazing) and was readily able to help advise on the menu.
Had an excellent lunch here earlier in the week - semolina and lemon encrusted squid on a beautiful salad was get included Parma slivers, red onion, baby tomatoes and spinach leaves.
I also saw some very attractive burgers and chips waltz by to another table.
Serving staff are delightful and very friendly and it’s a light airy space.
A nice fit out in an ideal location for those in Docklands. Enjoyed breakfast (at lunch time), and it was very flavoursome but slightly on the salty side. Service was a little lacking but other than that it was great!
Great service, location and food. Food is guaranteed to be tasty price is ok. When ordering food you need to be specific and clear as to what you would like.
Reasonable prices.
Nice clean and modern interior design, spacious.
All day breakfast is a big winner!
Many options with reasonable prices across the breakfast and lunch menus.
I really enjoyed my visits to st brew, Their meals are large and tasty with not too much pretentiousness about it, some modern meals put me off due to the complexity of the dishes, whilst that isn't a bad thing of itself sometimes it can distract from the flavours of the dish, st brew is different in that respect. I felt as thought the two times I have been here the dishes I have ordered seemed like a fusion of modern and classic, with the dish with haloumi absolutely delicious. The atmosphere here is nice as well and I will be returning on occasion here.
Just your average brunch fare. Decent fare, nice interiors, and decent service. Food was quite average though, the poached eggs were done nicely but the pulled pork was a bit dry and was also spicy which was unexpected as it wasn't mentioned on the menu.
Had a delightful dining experience at St Brew. The food was tasty and ambience was good. Friendly wait staff. Would definitely go back. Good selection of all day breakfast and lunch options. Was tempted to order the Big Breakfast but went for the fish & chips. T'was an enjoyable meal.
Always get great coffee and service from here. Usually order ham and cheese croissant and it's always great quality. Decided to try the poached eggs with avocado on toast. Great quality and not shy with the avocado. If your passing by recommend a stop here.
Delicious! Lovely place and lovely staff. Came here with 8 colleagues for lunch and everyone loved their food - quick service, great quality and great value as well. The all-day breakfast was an added bonus! Will definitely come back - glad to have found my new go-to in Docklands!
I cant believe I've never been here considering i work close by.
Just went with some colleagues for lunch and really was just expecting a casual cafe like most of the other places nearby.
The ambiance was lovely, with plants around the place. The service was quick and friendly. Everything was seamless. And the food!! Beautiful presentation and the flavour to match. Unique but subtle combinations like lemon and poppy seed with eggs, really quite impressed.
Will definitely come back on my lunch breaks.

The Dear Luncher enjoys a quick and efficient breakfast. Satisfaction levels are high when everything falls into place. From the moment The Dear Luncher set foot in St. Brew everything went right. Greeted with a smile, immediately handed some water (tainted with lemon no less – big tick), and handed the menu and asked about coffee. Eggs Benny is the go-to breakfast for your Dear Luncher and also a very good litmus test for how an eatery prepares other meals.
It was a short wait for the coffee, and then a few moments later The Dear Luncher’s breakfast also arrived. Stunningly presented, hot. The eggs were perfectly poached, the ham levels just wonderful. This was top shelf Eggs Benny and don’t you worry – The Dear Luncher knows a good Eggs Benny when he sees one.
Coffee wasn’t that great and that was the only blemish in an otherwise superb and swift dining experience. The entire venue was very well presented and friendly on the eye. The Dear Luncher will return.
Not sure why this place isn't rated higher, I really enjoy it here. A great place to chill out during the lunch break. Coffee is good and the herbal potato cake is really nice.

Walked past St Brews during lunch time and decided to walk in. The place is spacious and cosy. There is a nice outdoor area as well. Had cannelloni with garlic prawn. There was plenty of sauce. Loved the herbs in the dish
This place always has friendly staff and a really fresh and interesting menu! The coffee orders for some reason always get mucked up but I still love it here!
I saw the brown paper specials board and my eyes lit up. It was advertising the St. Brew burger ... 2 beef patties with eggs and herb potato cake. And a side of chips as well. I was mesmerised and wanted to try this bizarre, coma-inducing burger.
So I ordered it. At $20 it was probably the most I've ever spent on a burger. But it was a feast. It arrived and it looked like it was as big as my face. It smelt amazing ... But the taste ... It was so-so.
The meat patties were on the dry side and the herb potato cake literally tasted like a bland version of the filling from supermarket roast chickens. It wasn't exactly what I had in mind. I realised then that I actually didn't like carb on carb after all. The chips were great though. I never really complain about chips.
Well I'm glad I tried it, my curiosity is satisfied but I wouldn't order it again.
Great place for lunch. Food was very fresh and came out quickly! Nice furnishings and the tableware is fantastic. Staff were very accommodating and polite. Will definitely be coming back more reguarly. Great for a lunch with friends or business meetings.
Beautiful dishes and unbelievably amazing chips! If there's a restaurant that has not disappointed me at all, it is St Brew's. Compliments to the chef! Pls don't leave the establishment 🙏🏽. Wonderful staff also.
The service here is really good. Staff are always friendly. I recently had lunch there with a large group. We pre ordered however there was an error in the order that we sent through. The staff happily remade the order free of charge and it wasn't there fault.
Nice little place for a lazy long lunch.
These guys do amazing coffee and amazing breakfast. During the week its mostly empty but don't let that drive you away. Great service and friendly staff.
Comfortable atmosphere and not rushed. We lunch here on a regular basis - used to be called Summit. The food is good with generous helpings although the menu doesn't change very much from one month to the next. Prices are reasonable for such a central location very close to Southern Cross station.
We came here for lunch. There are quite a few options as there's all day breakfast menu. Price is around $20 per meal and we were able to preorder our food.
Lunch was yummy but the ordering process was confusing. We accessed the menu via a QR code but couldn't order food through the same webpage, we had to wait for someone to come and take our order. Other than that, the food was lovely and the venue was light and airy - very inviting.
The Big breakfast was very filling and the coffee was very tasty and we'll presented
Excellent food stopped for breakfast on the way to work with a work colleague. I had the breakfast special. Food was served in a timely manner and coffee was excellent. I will be going back for more breakfast adventures.
After over a year. I had breakfast with the team. The only reason I choose this place was because it looked very quiet and I had coffee once before and I like it. Suffice to say that this is one of the best breakfast places I have every been too. The choice and the service is top notch. Highly recommend.
I often have meetings there. Coffee is good.
