The worst Pub meal we have ever had. The Parma $28 was soggy the chips awful and the fish and chips was as small as a kids serve for $29 one small piece of battered fish about the size of 4 chicken nuggets. The entree calamari was also small about 6 small pieces for $21 The wine sav blanc was nic
Post lockdown lunch catch up and for the most part really enjoyed it. Lovely place with a great courtyard as well. Lovely selection of drinks and food on offer. The cauliflower and manchego cheese croquet were absolutely to die for. The hanger steak was very tasty, just a tad underdone - asked fo
Early in our new found freedom & The George are hitting their spots... great food, clean lines & friendly staff. Couldn't get over the relative peace & quiet given the masses just across the road at the South Melbourne Market & surrounding Cafes, Retailers etc. Will be heading back just as soon as I
We shared an antipasto platter. $44 for rather a pitiful collation. Of outstanding disappointment were the miniscule amounts of supermarket olives and gherkins. Venue pleasant and lovely waitstaff.
It’s great that this establishment is now opened again post Covid, it’s a great local pub a block away from where I live fantastic atmosphere, good food there opening of a new lounge shortly friendly staff it’s always a cheerful place to visit.
Fabulous food. My steak was superb. The dark cooking whilst leaving a medium rare centre was exceptional.
Delicious Parma at the George as we celebrated our first day out of lockdown, good range of beers on tap, friendly and accommodating staff who found space for us to stay and have a few more beers well after our alloted dining time frame was over. Will definitely be back soon.
Popped in for a quick drink, great friendly service! Decor is looking great.
