Tiny dining place near my office.. inside was comfortable, tables are clean, condiments available on the table. Food came quick, they were loaded with toppings and were very tasty! I ordered spicy pad kee mao and it gave me tears and runny nose. Very spicy! Extra point for that.
Recently visited Siam Thai for a takeaway. It was on my list from a long time. The food was reasonably good as I was expecting, not as great as my favourite Thai places such as Dodee, but worth a visit.
I ordered a ‘Miss Siam Fried Rice with Crispy Pork Belly’. The portion was quite generous and pork belly was good. Crispy pork belly is always my favourite at Thai places. Overall the fried rice was good but I would have preferred a little more chillies in it. Goes really well with the pork belly! Also ordered a coconut ice cream in dessert. Haven’t had dessert at a Thai place before, but the choice of dessert turned out really well.
Next visit - Probably
Oh the spice! Yum, I loved it. I ordered flat rice noodles with tom yum sauce and it was delicious and very filling. The tofu in this this was just amazing. Also, it’s a very tiny outlet and gets congested even while simply queuing up to place order.

Another quick meal place if I'm near Southern Cross and don't feel like moving much, here are my regulars:
1. Basil & Chilli Chicken on Rice
2. Crispy Pork Belly w/ Red Sauce on Rice
3. Thai Ice Milk Tea
The purplish-ball-things are Thai Sago Dumplings, which have peanut & savoury pickled reddish inside (No, it's NOT a dessert LOL), which will fill up your tummy if any space left after eating the rice dish.
This little shop has improved massively after one year - it really wasn't up-to-standard while first opened - Now it has better tastes, better seating layout, better ordering system and real confident services. Great work Miss Siam!!
I ordered the Thai basil & chilli flat rice noodles and Thai iced tea and I really liked it but I dunno why it’s supposed to have a fried egg on top and it wasn’t there :(
I grabbed take away from here. Called up and was told to allow ten minutes. Got there in five and it was ready. Large serving portion and tasty.
Got a little hole in the wall shop in Melbourne? We can totally turn it into the hottest new bar, coffee drop or restaurant. Miss Siam has opened up the smallest Thai in town, with barely 10 seats but providing an awesome menu and perfect place to grab a quick lunch or dinner to take away. The menu is packed full of deliciousness and a good selection of gluten free, hurrah! The usual suspects are gathered with a few more unusual dishes but you can feast on roti, spring rolls, golden bags, curry puffs, chive cakes, fish cakes, grilled pork balls and thats only the nibbles to start with!!
My new favourite place for lunch. Quite authentic thai street food. Loved the pad kee mao and pad see ew - they had a lot of nice robust wok and spice flavour. Tried the basil minced with rice. It was so good. My colleagues and I always look forward to our weekly lunch to Miss Siam.

Miss Siam Thai is a newly opened cafe inspired by street food in Thailand. Located on Collins Street near Southern Cross station, the venue has a modern feel with limited seating and tables. The World Loves Melbourne was invited along to sample the menu. This is an excellent option for city workers around lunch time or even for those wanting take away.

In a small, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it store, Miss Siam is recreating authentic Thai cuisine, focusing on food that you might find in the streets and markets of Thailand. Thai Sago Dumpling - steamed sago flour dumplings filled with sweet turnip and crushed peanuts. Thai sago dumplings are a standout. Purple sago flour is filled with a spicy and warm filling of sweet turnip and crushed peanuts. The crunch of the filling together with the soft and sticky outer is moreishly delicious.
Miss Siam is a new restaurant in Melbourne’s CBD offering authentic Thai “street food” from a small, takeaway-style restaurant with limited seating. Despite the densely populated genre of Thai restaurants in Melbourne’s multicultural restaurant industry, Miss Siam still feels like a breath of fresh air thanks to their philosophy of staying true to their native cuisine, without feeling the need to jazz up or modernise their dishes.
Located at the bottom end of the CBD, near Southern Cross Station, Miss Siam Thai is a newly opened eatery inspired by street food in Thailand. This little shop on Collins Street is simply laid out and with limited seating and tables, but has a great menu full of Thai classics and authentic dishes.
Was invited along with fellow foodies to try out the menu at Miss Siam.
We got to sample a range of the items. Check out my pics below.
Ideal for a quick weekday lunch or a nice takeaway dinner on the weekend.

“Darling leave a light on for me … I’ll be there before you close the door”. Nestled tightly in between a couple of other shops on the gradually improving Baghdad end of Collins Street in Melbourne, is a very new Thai food establishment called Miss Siam. The Dear Luncher does not recall what existed in this spot before Miss Siam, but he can confirm that it is infinitely better.
Miss Siam serves reasonably priced and good tasting Thai takeaway. The Thai sago dumplings and Som Tum (dinner only) is a must try. I'm very fussy when it comes to my Thai food and this joint definitely has my seal of approval.
Yesterday I ordered takeaway at Miss Siam. Miss Siam is in an ideal location, close to Southern Cross station. It doesn't take long for the food to be prepared so for those with short lunch breaks this place is an ideal option.
Unfortunately I wasn't too impressed with my Massaman curry. Not enough curry was in the bowl making the other aspects of the dish to taste too dry. There was a lot more rice than curry. As advertised the beef was slow cooked so that's good but I just wish they had put more curry in the bowl. The curry did taste nice but I think a bit more flavour was needed.
Hopefully their other dishes are better.

I have found a dish here that I like a lot which is the Pad Kee Mao - it's very tasty with a good amount of chilli. Much better than there Massaman and I am glad I gave them another shot. Customer service is quite good as well :) Upgraded from a 2.5 to a 3.5
This place is very conveniently located, near southern cross station, tram stops and gym which makes me feel very guilty. I love the Goong Hom Pha, very crispy! If you like a bit of chili and pork belly, you must order Prik Khing! My first time trying this dish and I really liked it. Very happy tummy 😊 Would try som tum and Thai tea ice cream on my next visit!
It’s so delicious and the staff is very kind .
Great food, one of my favourite places to eat. Their Pad Thai and Green Curry are absolutely amazing.
Update: been going here for over 6 months now and it's now my top favourite place for lunch. Absolutely amazing and friendly staff.
Excellent food and service, what else can I say?
This place located next to bread top. It is a very tiny store but they make the freshest noodles and food. Oh they open from 10am which is a godsend when you are shift worker.
The crispy pork from there is awesome, goes well with rice or noodles. I don't recall a bad meal from there at all.
Oh the other dish, that's Somtum set. Basically it is a green papaya salad, grilled chicken and sticky rice. With the salad you can choose work peanuts or pickled crabs. I chose pickled crabs and it is very interesting and tasty, but I understand that it might not be to everyone taste.
Overall, great food, decent price, things I need to keep me good and be happy.
Absolutely delicious small cute little store very friendly staff the food is so cheap but amazing 10/10 would recommend.
Keep up the great work 😃
Amazing food! Best green curry I've ever had (and I'm super fussy) and the Chilli basil chicken was also superb. Won't go anywhere else now for Thai.
Delicious food and fast service. Great spot for a quick lunch. Pork belly and rice with egg and garlic sauce for $14!! How good is that mate :)
Thoroughly enjoyed I'll be back
Ordered via Uber Eats and I was completely blown away with how devine and flavoursome their green curry chicken dish was. I'm totally hooked and will make it my regular go to place every week now.
If you like Thai, you will love the food here. Reasonable prices, with huge portions. I visit once every week.
