Above Fancy Hanks at the top end of Bourke Street, Good Heavens is exactly as it's name suggests... a great place for a good time. Another beautiful roof top bar that is perfectly enjoyed in summer and other great weather days. With a cool tropical vibe, with pastel furniture and lots of white and neon, Good Heavens is an oasis in the middle of the city.
The bar is well stocked and it's a lovely place for a cocktail or two. Food is provided from Fancy Hanks below; so American style sandwiches and fries. It's delivered quickly and is tasty with a few glasses of something naughty. There is funky music in the background that's loud enough to still hear your conversations.
With great service and gorgeous staff, Good Heavens is a popular place to hang out. With it's hip vibe, great drinks and food, and fun atmosphere, the crowds keep flocking in, because drinks with a view aren't a bad way to spend a lazy afternoon or night.
Cool rooftop bar, just came.here for a drink one night. Were playing some fun old school tunes! The bar had run out of the first wine I wanted to order and the toilets were all wet which were the only downsides
Cool place to have a drink. Plenty of board games at your disposal. Service was friendly and fast. Had a DJ also. Plenty of shade umbrellas to escape the afternoon sun.
Good heavens is amazing, Jordan was great and took care of us endlessly. She gave just the best recommendations and had such an incredible time. I will certainly be back next week.
I’ve wanted to visit this place ever since I saw it recently. This rooftop bar is awesome, a great space, craft beers, and an amazing city view.
The punters are really friendly and the staff were great. It has a relaxed vibe and this place is definitely worth a visit.

Staff we're great, great atmosphere, good vibe, nice for a night out. Fairly priced..hard to find..had a few beers (mountain goat fancy pants) and was lovely Timinmelbourne

One of my favourite bars in Melbourne. Great rooftop. Love the spritz menu and the fact they have heaters for winter. Staff are friendly and there is little wait for ordering drinks. Can't go wrong with this place. Feels like Melbourne.
Good Heavens is a rooftop bar located above Fancy Hanks on Bourke Street where the old Tuscan bar used to be. It has a very different feel to the space of old, with the more modern, American tinged theme from Fancy Hanks making its way upstairs.
Great decor and view from the bar. Drinks were delicious and well made. However they did take quite a bit of time to be perfected. (Worth the wait). They had a DJ who played great tunes. Would come back again.
Stumbled across this awesome bar last weekend, and stayed for a while to sample a variety of their cocktails. The bartenders are friendly, and the atmosphere is chill and relaxed during the day and becomes a bit more busy and social at night. Really cool set up, and loved the large assortment of cocktails they had on offer.
This place has a great rooftop bar, in a fantastic location and has amazing happy hour deals. When we ordered our cocktails, it took a while for the bartender to make them, even though it wasn’t busy. They also looked seriously miserable. Not the best service, which really affected my rating.
Fancy Hanks definitely have their business sorted. As usual Fancy Hanks was full house on a Friday. But luckily they had their Rooftop Bar upstairs ! With the lovely spring weather coming it was a perfect day to sit upstairs .Although the Menu isn’t as big as fancy hanks the lunch menu is great for a quick lunch break.
The pulled pork sandwich (..is this American for burger?) was tender with a nice soft bun. The chips were seasoned well and crisp.
Will definitely be back to try more during my lunch break! And for drinks too!
Great vibes, friendly staff and amazing drinks! Went on a Sunday night, only about an hour to spare before closing. We didn't know what to have so asked the bartender for a recommendation, everything she recommended and served was amazing! The best cocktails and drinks I have ever tried!
Roof top bar looking over Bourke St, and the corrugated roof space of the building next door. Spacing of her tables and chairs could be sorted out a bit better to ensure you can move around better. Good selection of this on tap, and nice cocktail list.
Good water saving measure in the bathroom of sink over cistern and they use WGAC paper, rate this 8/10.
We visited Good Heavens to grab a pre dinner drink on a freezing Thursday winters night. Visiting a rooftop bar on a night like tonight was a tad risky but we need not have worried the heating was on full blast and it was toastie and warming up there on the top floor. The bar was visually stunning with colourful glowing bottles illuminated by soft led lighting. We ordered two delicious sounding cocktails which came our very quickly despite there only being one bartender on duty... plus a DJ playing some 80's retro style tunes with modern elements. The Bloody Sangria was our pick of cocktails and it came with an oversized Rosemary "branch". I imagine this place would be packed out on a summers day but tonight just a cozy quiet place. Fancy Hanks is downstairs and is still on my list of places to go pop into soon.

A nice venue, great cocktails (had the Mai Tai), and tasty snacks (tried the chicken wings, artichoke dip with veg and nachos) - I'll be back on another sunny day for sure.
Decent little bar up on top of Fancy Hanks, so it's worth checking out for a drink after some great BBQ. The rooftop is nicely setup, with decent views and it wasn't too crowded when I went (although it does get busy..) Drinks are various and all of good quality (slightly higher than average prices but nothing crazy) and the bar staff have good knowledge and are friendly. Not mind blowing, but a very solid option for drinks in the CBD.
Get ready to spend summer in 1980’s Palm Springs. Fancy Hanks, BBQ purveyor extraordinaire, launched their new rooftop bar, Good Heavens, on the first day of summer. Sunshine and good times were flowing along with the beer and cocktails. Their new CBD venue is located within spitting distance of rooftop favourites Madame Brussels and Loop Roof.
We went on a Saturday afternoon and for me this was the highlight of our mini rooftop bar tour of Melbourne. Larger than most and with the added bonus of being above Fancy Hanks, Good Heavens had a nice vibe.
It was busy when we arrived but people didn't seem to stay too long so we managed to secure a table quickly. Good service and our cocktails tasted great! Definitely somewhere I could see myself spending more time.
Not a bad place to have a drink. We were lucky to get the table in the front corner and had a great view of the street. Could have stayed longer but the chairs were just too uncomfortable, they actually hurt your backside sitting on them, which was a bit of a shame cos I was enjoying the place.

The newest rooftop bar to hit Melbourne summer this place does not disappoint beverage-wise. Arrived around 7pm on a Friday night and the wait was about 15 minutes. When we got upstairs it was packed and extremely noisy. The cocktails were delicious and the set up on point. The only issue was there was nowhere to sit and order the delightful looking food that kept coming out of the kitchen. It was also way too loud to speak to friends so we ventured downstairs to Fancy Hank's which is the restaurant by the same owners. It was a thirty minute wait for a table so we didn't stick around. Definitely put your name down downstairs before you head up for a drink. Also maybe try and go early to secure a spot as its certainly a place you want to have a decent session in
Will DEFINITELY be spending more time up here over the summer. Melbourne's newest rooftop isn't just in the closest possible proximity to my favourite BBQ joint, it's also really cool. The food and drinks are sensational and service is great.
One drink at Good Heavens turned into 8 pretty quickly for a mid-week get together. We also managed to enjoy the tater tots, crudites and deep fried cauliflower which probably managed to curb a few hangovers for the following day.
If you're after a new spot in the sunshine to enjoy the summer, give Good Heavens a crack.

Very generous with their alcohol in the cocktails and they came out super quick. Don’t know how they’d expect us to drink cocktails without their limited stock of straws though. Highly recommend popping here after dinner or spend the whole night here because you’re guaranteed a good time!
Today was so much fun! Walked into Good Heavens and they had Sunday Sips! $15 for many samples of wine and a great understanding of the wineries wine. The Bar manager was so friendly! She made the day all the more fun!
Great location, love the inclusion of gender neutral bathrooms. Bizarre method to order drinks from table but to collect from bar, but not unpleasant. Not a great range of cocktails on the menu, but a good ambience and great views!
