Sbriga is THE best place in the CBD for coffee, delicious food and Friday night bevs and pizza. I come here every day and the coffee and service is consistently excellent (despite my annoying order) and way better than the other cafes in the area - and I’ve tried them all over the past 8 years. Mario, Les and Charlotte treat customers like family and if I’m ever away from the office and need to get my coffee elsewhere, I miss it! If you haven’t been, get there ASAP!
Great coffee, best ham & cheese croissant I’ve ever had. Always friendly staff and wonderful ambiance. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area
Was crowded when we rocked up and the seating was super tight. They do basic lunch items to eat in or go but what most people were lining up for were for their coffees. We had coffee in or rather out as there were larger communal tables outside.
Really enjoyed my latte, strong, creamy and a pleasant aftertaste. Solid. A favourite for office workers in the surrounding areas.
Best croissants, egg and bacon rolls and coffee. Mario and the crew always lived up to this fussy coffee drinker's expectations when it came to my coffee every morning. Amazing music and chats too!
Allpress coffee is one of my favourites and Sbriga does a good version of this. I love the wooden interior with high lean bars and chairs. It's all quite squashed in but that's ok... it's warm inside. Sbriga has the usual assortment of breakfast & cake items, Portuguese tarts and pastries. They also had toasties which I grabbed fresh to toast later at work. The staff member gave me clear toasting instructions for optimal cooking perfection. Secret toasting time is 6 1/2 minutes but DON'T TELL ANYONE!!! I could see why these were so good... so much butter spread on the outside. Yummy hidden calories. They do panini and pizza later in the day and have a Friday pizza special if dining between 5&7... nice 👍🏽
Coffee came after about 5 minutes and as I previously mention was nice and strong. That's two cafes in two days that vastly outperform my normal Dockland haunts. Loving this his strip of Little Lonsdale. The walk to work from Flagstaff clearly is s better option.
Clean, delicate shop.
Really good quality coffee and Vin Diesel barista, freshly made croissant.
I love his music taste.
Right place to have your first thing in the day.
Moved into a building right opposite and need my coffee fix, I'll admit Mario and the Crew know how to make a great latte to keep the discerning Melbourne Coffee Snob happy !!
Hidden beauty and excellent service. What a nice place for good afternoon lunch and meetings. Lots of salads and lunch menu. Not to forget the great coffee.
So I discovered this place quite sometime ago and tried their pumpkin soup. Yes it's just pumpkin soup not very daring. Except that a lot places serve pumpkin soup lumpy and tasteless. Not here its buttery, and tasty.
Staff are friendly even during peak time. Yes it could be a bit quicker but the line is also massive, so if there were room for another barissta during this time I think that may help things along. Basic coffee and roll menu. Not a place to stop for a meal and hang out in.
Linnie Eats All The Food

I was in the city for some training and it was lunch time, which meant I needed to find a place to eat on my lonesome. Since it was forecast to rain, I didn’t want to venture too far and BAM I found a cute little espresso bar, Sbriga. . What caught my eyes were the standing tables (not really because you still get chairs)! How adorable is that? So in I went and got a table for 1.
After what seems like hours later, I finally decided on a pizza which I kinda forgot what it was cold (hangry Linnie came out to play by now). Nonetheless, this was oh so yummilicious! Melted cheese, salami, olives and mushroom on a bed of a crispy dough. I was loving this pizza and I totally devoured it.
This little cafe is my go to place when I need a pick me up. I'm not big on coffee as it's too bitter for me and causes my heart to race but a soy mocha once a while is the perfect concoction for me. The mocha was very smooth and it didn't have an overly sweet taste. The balance of coffee and chocolate powder was perfect 👌🏻. A regular size is $4.50 whilst a large is $5.50 but on an odd occasion I do get charged $5.00 for a regular. A little more expensive than other cafes around but the coffee and service is well worth it! If you become a regular customer, you get a stamp every time you order a coffee and for the 10th one you get one free! They also have a cabinet full of treats to go with your coffee. If you are
in the area, definitely go have a peak!
My morning happy place. Serving up cold brew that will get the motor running on those warmer days, and delicious long blacks on the days Melbs can't make up it's mind. With so many treats and house made pizza on offer, you could really sit there all day.
Make sure to pop in after work for a Sbriga Spritz. My personal fave. All the praise for the Sbriga crew.
The best coffee in the area for sure. Sbriga stands out from the very average cafes around Flagstaff station by a mile. They use Allpress coffee (a great start) and also have choice soy and non lactose options. The service is also personal and delightful which makes getting a morning coffee something to look forward too.
Sbriga, is a lil’ shop on lil’ Lonsdale with a small kitchen and rather large possibilities. I’ve grabbed a couple of cawfees here recently and am loving the taste. The beans are Allpress but I do believe it’s the barrista (not the barrister…remember that one. Could sting you) and that beautiful machine that makes this coffee stand out from the other 1.676 million coffee places in Melbs CBD.
Awesome Coffee!. Also has almond milk which is a real plus.
Hidden gem. Basically the perfect lunch: half serve of soup, today it was kale and cannellini beans, and a half serve of the prosciutto panini, with melting cheese and crisp rocket. FOR TEN BUCKS.
Execllent coffee, simple tasty food, friendly and intuitive service. Shame I don't work in the area or this would be my local!
I went in one morning before a meeting - this place was popping! Great coffee and sensational custard tart - I'll be looking for more meeting excuses to drop in
If you like strong coffee while you stand. I like robust coffee when I order a flat white, and that's what Sbriga delivers. I got a mug there the other day, and it was in the top 5 of strong coffees I've had in this town. It had a full, make-your-taste-buds-stand-up-and-notice-you're-drinking-COFFEE-not milk! vibe to it without being burnt. As other reviewers have noted, this small cafe at the edge of the court/legal precinct in Melbourne's CBD has an Italian feel with the stand-up counters lining the walls; no seats except the ones outside. (Good way to squeeze more drinkers in a tiny room, eh?) The blokes doing the baristing were friendly with the legal secretary and barrister types who were popping in. There's a small selection of pastries including some uncommon ones such as the round meringue filled with chocolate, candied fruit and topped with nuts that I had. Prices are not cheap at Sbriga, but if you want quality coffee and novel pastries, it stands out.
AMAZING. Sbriga has amazing coffee, and two wonderful darlings to serve you your coffee!! Mario and Paul are the sweetest! Try and almond croissant while you're there as well!
Love this place! Perfect coffee and super friendly staff! They even have almond milk and lactose free milk!!! Heaven!
Caffeine pitstop. Tiny place with great coffee and 2 very friendly staff. Probably one of my favourite places to re-energise at lunch break.
Perfect. Just perfect. Great food, superb coffee and excellent customer service.
Sbriga is a wonderful small espresso bar in the business district of the CBD. Great coffee, NZ brand All Press is quite smooth in a latte. Just recently had a Columbian Single Origin which was amazingly smooth.
They also have a great range of small snacks, deserts and lunches to help with midday hunger in the office.
The staff are incredibly friendly too, always good for a chat. Especially the owner, Mario who is very passionate about his business.
Defiantly worth a second look & taste.
Very cool, great traditional biscuits that don't load you with guilt and terrific coffee. Super friendly staff. Love the feel of the place - like an escape to European bar.
Great Experience. Came across this new very slick espresso bar and was blown away by teh coffee and food quality - anew regular place for me onthis side of town.

Sbriga is a cafe in the Melbourne CBD legal precinct caturing the Italian spirit of espresso. This is stand up Roman espresso style - something rarely seen in Melbourne. Mario and the team have created a unique experience in a sea of cafes which impresses in terms of coffee, concept, cuisine and style. It strikes me that this cafe is engaging - where the customer is the focus. It is in no sense aloof. It's about giving 15 min of your day to receive top notch hospitality in the Italian tradition.
Extremely cute little place to grab a coffee or excellent food. We went for brunch and I got the egg and bacon roll - wonderfully made. The staff are friendly and have an excellent sense of humour. Kudos!
I must have walked past this place a million times with my eyes shut, Staff are great and the coffee is excellent.
This will now be a regular stopping place for my morning coffee.
Now a couple of new additions to invite you to stay. New umbrellas and live Sport.
I get coffee here from most days and I have for years they're friendly they're quick and their coffee is one of the best in Melbourne

Lovely place in the city, with a nice outside area where you can sit down and enjoy your coffee and eat something if you want. The food is very good, freshly made in the morning and the coffee is great.
Great coffee friendly staff this will now be my regular cafe when ever I am in Melbourne next.
They have a nice fresh selection is pastries and sandwiches, nice little standing area due to covid.
It’s a beautiful clean modern cafe with custom design tables and benches.
I would recommend people to try their coffees.
Sbriga offers very good coffee. A unique little cafe located just off the corner of little lonsdale and king. It's a little bit of a squeeze inside (note the bicycle hanging from the roof) but there is plenty of seating outsode, delightful on a mild Melbourne morning. Quick turnaround time from ordering to first sip. Pastries look great too.
ALWAYS great coffee, friendly faces and the brownies are 🔥. Once you go, you won't want to go anywhere else...
